Daily CheckIn: Thursday, August 11, 2005

Morning ladies. Today was ME. I LOVE that workout!!! My body is fried from head to toe. It's great. I went up in weight on several of the workouts and even did some extra sets of bicep work afterwards.
I should be receiving KPC/L&G in the mail today!!! I can't wait. RS comes tomorrow! It's going to be such a fun weekend!:7

Hey Terri...

Well, for one thing, I LOVE not having to wake up to an alarm clock anymore! Woo Hoo! That is awesome! :7

I LOVE being able to take care of my own little bundle of joy and not have to drop him off at such a precious age for people I don't even know to take care of him 10 hours a day! If I had a relative who could watch him I would consider going back to work as the $ would be nice but I just can't put him in daycare...not now. I have considered getting him into daycare at about 2 years old possibly...we shall see what happens with that.

Something I don't like is that sometimes I don't go out for days on end (during the week) just because there's no where to go...if my food shopping and any other errands outside of the home are done then I don't really leave the house. ESPECIALLY not in THIS weather! If/when it were nicer I would take Joey for walks. I miss that. I can't wait for it to cool off a bit. I wanted to start meeting my best friend for lunch once in a while now that I'm home but she is so busy at work that we haven't had the chance yet. DH and I go out a couple NIGHTS a week atleast though and we go out on weekends also so it could be worse!

I like the fact that I can do house cleaning and laundry and all of that cr*p at a reasonable pace because I don't have to wait until the nights and weekends to get it all done. Makes it much easier to find the time to do things I enjoy with DH and DS and other family and friends and at the same time I maintain a cleaner, neater house than I used to and we always have tons of clean laundry too! :p

Okay, I'm getting a bit long-winded here so I'll stop rambling now! Sorry lol! Anyway...all in all, I am extremely happy with my decision to stay home with Joey!:+
 
Work out-DONE! Phew!

I was slightly lazy with IMAX 2 today. I modified it more than last time and I it was evident as my HRM stats were all slightly lower because of it. I still burned over 500 calories though!:7

I did Coremax # 2 for my ab work today. That's the ball segment. It's wierd...I guess maybe I was doing the exercises wrong because there wasn't a whole lotta burn in my abs during this one. x( I think I'll stick to # 1 until I get stronger....

Okay, off to the showers. Going to hang out with a friend today whom I don't get to see too often.

Carole: yes i did! i am quite glad that is over:7 thanks for asking:)

today for me is cardio and upper body since i didn't do any workouts the past two days i am gonna have to do extra cardio, BUT in my defense, i sweat so much during the photo session yesterday that i had nothing left for working out! those dresses are heavy and SO freaking hot! i cannot imaging wearing all those layers like they used to have to wear everyday corseted up in the heat with no AC:eek: . 2 hrs seemed like a life time to me:)

Hi all,

Late check in today. Slept in and did a mid-morning workout. Today I did BodyMax step and circuits. Is anyone else familiar enough with this workout to know why Cathe says "Fooled you on the last one, didn't I?" during the step portion of the third circuit? I have no idea why she says this, but then, my back is usually to the tv at that point.

Jes - Glad to hear you got to do the pics yesterday. When will they be developed and when can we see them?

Carla - many people are saying that the second time through BootCamp it goes really fast. That's neat. Congrats to you for doing it!

Katie - you are expecting two great dvds! Have fun trying your new workouts! And you did extra bicep work after ME??? YOU GO GIRL!!

Wendy - with all the lower body focus in that rotation, it must really burn calories. I hope it helps you get rid of your last few pregnancy pounds.

Annette - my goodness, what a miserable day you had yesterday. I applaud you for even attempting a workout. I hope today's went better.

Jane - I read your message about your neighbour. That is terrifically sad. I'm not a religious person, but I will keep him in my thoughts and hope that his treatments work.

Becky - sorry to hear you ran out of steam this morning. Do you have a pre-workout snack?

Carole - I find those SJP static lunges just brutal even when I haven't already done extra leg work LOL! That was an awesome workout. I'm very curious how you intend to use CTX in a circuit workout. Keep me posted!

Dutchie - LOL at your description of your new coworkers. What job is this, may I ask?

Wendy I am so glad it is working out for you. I too think it would be nice to not wake up to an alarm clock! I stayed home with my son until he was 2 and even then it was hard leaving him. I divorced his dad though so I had no choice. I work from home now for the most part running my business. I look forward to the days when I bid jobs or QA my workers as it gets me out. I am not a sit at home kinda person! My son is 24 now and believe me the time will fly by! Enjoy every precious moment:)

Hello again. i did FORTY FIVE mins of cardio(i haven't been able to force myself to do more than 20 for a while!) and the floor work from L/G.

Sandra: i have to wait 1 1/2 weeks for the proofs to come back and then i have to order pictures. my friend took a couple with my camera of me goofing around in between shots (looking miserable basically) and i will email you one of those if you want. i'm making "not so happy faces" but the dress looks great;-)

I'm here in SE VA and THANK GOD FOR A/C!!!
Did some switching around. I didn't want to do KPC right after Bootcamp and then too much back-to-back stepping...so I did Rhythmic Step last night (also it was a late night workout for me as I was helping DH change spark plugs on our Aerostar) and did KPC this evening. Tomorrow evening, I can hit the step again and hopefully do some total body work (Step, Pump & Jump???). DH and I are going to his brother's for the weekend (planning anyway) and that'll mean resting for both of us and I can do some serious stretching:)

Edited to add: Was so amazed I survived doing Bootcamp twice!!! Yeay!!!!
 
Finally got my w/o finished at 8:10. A lot going on this afternoon. Today was steady state cardio and I pulled out a w/o I haven't done in ages, All Step. This was my first Cathe w/o and I did it so much when it was the only one I had for a long time, I think I could do it in my sleep. It all came back to me. I was surprised at how easy it was cardiovascular-wise. I have come a long way since I popped that thing in the VCR and stood there dumbfounded at what I was watching. LOL...:7

I did the whole thing complete with shoulder work and abs.

Now to shower and to bed.... 5 a.m. comes early.
