Daily Check in Thurs April 6

Morning ladies. Today was SB followed by Core Max #2. I really like that ab workout. I have had the Core Max DVD for so long, but hardly ever do it because I just never have that much time for abs. So, I decided this month I am going to utilize it and I'm glad I am. I bet I'll be feeling it tomorrow.

My Gym Styles come tomorrow! I'm going to try them out over the weekend! Has anyone ever done the two UB Gym Styles back to back?

Good Mid-morning,
This is my first check-in:) . I have only been on the forums a couple of months now but I am looking forward to many, many more. I think you all are such a nice group of ladies. I have been working out to Cathe for about 7 months and of course am obsessed. Today I did PUB then about 40min of IMAX, this was the first time for me doing any of the Imaxes WOW!
I hope everyone has a great day.

Morning,

This morning I did Imax 2, Legs & Glutes (floorwork) & 300 cross cable.

I started my part time job last night (easy money) and I really enjoyed the people whom I am working with. Anyway, I get off at 10pm, which is okay; my job is right across the street from my apartment.

Getting home at 10:10 is okay by me, I am still able to get my big butt up even earlier like this morning I was up at 5am. Now, I am going to have to change my entire routine.

I no longer will be doing evening workouts, I am glad about it to, this way I can enjoy my evening more. My morning workouts will consist of a cardio and some weight training. Have a great day everyone.

Teddygirl~

Good Day everyone, Hope all enjoy either their rest days or workouts today :) I am short on time today, lots of errands to do and they always take twice as long with DD. Today was suppose to be a long run on the treadmill and a MM mix, but I have been overworking my legs and they are protesting big to take it easy so I stuck to a 6.5 mile run today and a nice long stretch afterwards. I need to lighten up on my workouts for the next week or so before I go into my first P90x rotation }( If the P90X are as intense as I have read on other posts I guess I need to be well rested. Next week for me is a circuit rotation which is lighter for me so that should be a good lead into P90X. Hope you all have a wonderful day and a safe one for you all that are in the mid-western states with that severe weather.

Morning all!

Another quick check in from me <sigh>. Life is so busy. This morning I did LowMax Step Premix, BootCamp Cardio only premix, and HSC abs. Great workout.

Laurie - oh my!! Those were a lot of spots! I don't think either of my girls got even 100 spots, but I can't say that we tried to count them LOL! The vaccine is quite new. Paris got it the first year it was made available with the 1 year immunizations, which was almost 5 years ago (here in Alberta, anyway). I took Kate to the pediatrician the other day, for her 6 mth check up, and he said 15% of children who receive the vaccine still get the pox (as Paris did!). He considers it a huge waste of money. I'll chat more with you later ;-)

Carole - did you say the other day that you are training for a 50k trail run in July? Is this the one that you've done the past 2 years? I have questions, questions about ETL and will be sending them your way very soon!

Pamela - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! I applaud your efforts to do the August rotation. That sounds just exhausting.

Heather - maybe you need to just do one Terminator workout a week? They are all quite intense, and a rest day or two between them might be a better approach than doing them all at once (JMO).

Melissa - welcome to the check in!

Okay, gotta go!
Sandra

Hi everyone!
Just got back last night from San Francisco for 3 nights. We went there with my visiting relatives. I definitley workout out though. On Monday was a rest day and Tuesday was Tae Bo Get Ripped and Wednesday I ran 5 miles. Today I will be doing Musle Endurance and some Bryan Yoga. My eating has been HORRIBLE!!! I had guiradelli chocolates and cookies and clam chowder in a GIANT bread bowl. So, I am defintley going to back to some clean eating, because I feel like a moose and totally gross. Well, hope you all have a great day and great workouts and I am off to take my girlies to school.

Cheers!
Susan

Hello, exercise buffs,

I hope that you don't mind me joining in your checkin every so often. I have a higher top Ryka model called the N Gage Studio Shoe, and I like them very much. I worry about my knees so I change my shoes every four months, and I also wear custom made orthotics. I can do high impact moves, but I try not to do every single one for every workout. Last night, I did a very advanced, complex double bench step class at my gym, and I adore it. I usually do it every Wednesday night; tonight is a kickass kickboxing class at my gym, and I will also work my legs on Nautilus machines.

On Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, I work out at home, and I haven't been taking a rest day. I hope everybody has great workouts today. Good job on RS, Phyllis, and I love that step workout.

Hey Shelley,

I think you will either love or hate her, so to speak. She is very perky, and talkative, but I like her intensity. She cues very fast, so you have to like that style, ( which I do, ). I think next to Cathe she is probably the most intense of the instructors I have tried.
The Cardio Attack was warm up, 35 minutes of cardio with intervals on the step, then 35 minutes of hi/lo, then cooldown. I didn't get through the entire workout, I had to get going to work. But I made it through all of the step and half of the hi/lo, so I think I am making a fair assessment.

Hope this helps!

Have a wonderful birthday, Pamela, and let us know how your spa day goes. God bless all of you who do Bootcamp twice, and I don't think I could survive that. Do you space it out at all, or do you do it twice in a row very quickly?

I did the 1st 30 min. of Billy's Lower Body Boot camp today with ankle weights.

The boys were screaming soo loud that I really couldn't concentrate on the workout and I got a phone call in the middle too, sigh.

Prayers for my oldest son who has his MRI for the scoliosis today.

Thanks!:7

Good Afternoon Fit Chicks!!

This morning I did CC#1(the new version) and then Leaner Legs. I woke up with some serious DOMS from GS C/T yesterday.

Phyllis: I hate breaking in new sneakers...which Ryka XT's did you get?

Annette: Prayers for your son...my youngest has mild scoliosis and has had a terrible time because he grew so fast...10 inches in one year!!! He is still growing, looks like he'll top off at 6"2". We have tried physical therapy in the past, but now make regular trips to the chiropractor. Good luck!

Susan: Your trip sounds fab...I'm hungry all of a sudden!

Sandra: Another great workout mish-mosh!

Joanne: Sounds like a great treadmill run...I could use a nice stretch myself!

Melissa: Welcome! PUB is just a great UB workout and ALL the Imaxes are just grueling!

Teddygirl: Great workout...I'm in awe of anyone who can combine an Imax workout with another workout!

Katie: SB is so much fun! I used to do both UB GS together in one day. It is do-able.

Vilma: Have a great workout...whatever it ends up to be!

Tracy: Hope your child feels better soon.

Shelley: Have fun w/either KPC or the Powerstrikes. I gotta check those out.

Lorrie: great workout.

Pamela: Hope you had a great day!

Heather: Great job! I love those Terminator workouts.

Caitlin: Welcome!

Carole: Hope you had a great run...I can't wait to get outside again. It still has to warm up quite a bit for me though!

Conni: Sounds as if you enjoyed your workout.

Laurie: Getting new workouts is so much fun...enjoy!

Shannon: Have a great workout...I like the full body workouts and try to do one once a week.

Judy: CTX Power Circuit is just a fantastic workout...in fact, all of the CTX workouts rock!

Jane: Let us know how it goes!

Wendy: I really want to try spinning, but I am having a hard time finding a local gym that offers it. Have you noticed a difference in your legs?

Robin: Happy Rest day!

Hi again!

Well, plans 1 and 2 (spinning or kpc) BOTH went down the tubes! :7 I ended up doing a 60 mins cardio w/o on the rebounder and then I did Abdominal bound which is a 20 min ab work out included on one of the rebounder dvds. :)

Jane, I had purchased Christi's fantasic four. I tried all 4 work outs and couldn't get into them at all. I sold it on Ebay shortly thereafter...let me know what you think.

Judy, you had a nice work out planned. Hope you enjoyed it!

Shannon, lift heavy girl!}(

Laurie, let us know what you think of your new work outs!

Connie, do your abs hurt now? }(

Carole, how was your run today?

Caitlin, double bench step...oh my! Sounds like an accident waiting to happen for me! I'm a clutz! :7 Glad you love it though!:+

That's all I have time for right now...hopefully I can come back a bit later and finish up! So many new people...I love it!:+

hi ladies,

i am late checking in again today:-(
i did 50 minutes on the treadmill today. wanted to get in an extra cardio session (turbo jam) when i got home from work but my son was complaining of a sore throat so i had to take him to the dr. and run other errands. i am so glad for morning workouts!!

Tammy, I got the blk/wht XT's. I know there are green ones too. I'll try them tomorrow.
I love your treadmill smilie. Where did you find that?

You all do such incredible WO! It's very inspiring! Wouldn't it be great if you could WO w/out sweating? Then you could just do your thing and go without a shower. It's all the after stuff that takes so much time!

Jane, I've been getting into Christi's wo lately. I have TCS and SGS. The fantasic four is on its way. Believe me, I'm still getting the moves down, but its fun. The intensity doesn't seem to be as high as Cathe.

Good evening all.... Christy hi/lo will have to wait until another day. I was off work today and gone from the house from 8:45 a.m. until 5 this evening. By the time I got supper over with and everything cleaned up it was 6:30 and the thoughts of doing hi/lo on a belly full of cashew chicken and brown rice were not pleasant! Instead I did a 30 minute power walk and am now trying to talk myself into GS biceps. I'll let you know in the morning if I caved and did them, the shower and relaxing sounds better after the long day I've had!

Wendy - I have the Fantastic Four DVD. I did Step Heaven when I first got it and didn't take to her at all. I haven't tried the hi/lo yet so I will do that before I make a decision whether to get rid of the DVD.

Night all
