Today was Legs and Calves and had a pretty good workout. My legs are rubber right now!

1 min. 30 sec. rest between each exercise.

LEGS:
Leg Extensions - 80#/12 reps - 3 sets
***Up 5#.

Leg Press Station - 190#/12 reps - 4 sets
***Up 10#. LOVE this exercise!

Hack Squats - 80#/12 reps - 4 set
***Up 5#. This was tough. After a certain amount of weight it's really hard to use good form. I probably should have stayed with 75#.

Elevated Deadlifts - 90#/12 reps - 4 sets
***Up 3#.

Lying Leg Curls - 47.5#/12 reps - 4 sets
***Up 2.5#.

CALVES:
Leg Press Station Calf Raises - Toes Forward - 190#/25 reps
Leg Press Station Calf Raises - Toes In - 190#/25 reps
Leg Press Station Calf Raises - Toes Out - 190#/25 reps
Leg Press Station Calf Raises - Toes Forward - 190#/25 reps
***Up 10#. These burned like crazy!

Well today is likely my rest day. My legs aren't nearly as sore as I thought they might (should) be. I know that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't a good workout though. Gotta remember that.

Supposed to be sunny for the next several days. Super windy today so I don't really want to battle that for a run. I plan on running at lunch tomorrow though. Going to shoot for 4 miles, then a longer run on Saturday, then shorter on Sunday. I need to get chest done, but my stupid left elbow is really bothering me so chest may have to wait.

Just one more day 'til the weekend ladies!!
 
Morning ladies! Is it me or shouldn't it be Friday by now?? Anyway, I got up and did 30 mins of Core Fusion and then Back/Tri's (M1 D8) which got me good today for some reason. Usually I get bored during back workouts but this was a goodie. All those chinups are killer! I'm heading to Kick tonight for the first time in awhile and REALLY looking forward to it! Don't worry Heather - I have my strap with me :)

Heather - yay for rest days. You deserve it and have more than earned it. Enjoy!

Belinda - good luck with legs/calves today! I love working legs!!

Debbie - you rocked that workout, as if I should be surprised by now ;)

Good Morning,

I didn't get my workout done last night DH had supper and margarittas ready when I got home. Tonite is TF HiiT 15 and 4DS Chest, Tris and Shoulders and a stretch. I am really disappointed in myself not really starting this month off like I want to.

Need some suggestions. I don't know how many of you ride bicycles, but I have a friend who's birthday is next week and she is an avid rider. What could I get her that pertains to her hobby? Any thoughts? I know she wants a HRM but those are a bit too expensive. I can't think of anything else, though.

What's your price range? I know my hubby is always game for new cycling jersey (but they can be pricey). Then there is layering gear like arm or leg "warmers" can't recall what they're really called though. Maybe find a shop she likes and get her a gift card there.

Thank you! That is a great idea. Our price range is usually around $30. I usually make her something but haven't had time this year.
 
Hi Girls!

Today was cardio day for me, so I did Step Moves! I swear, I could do that finished challenge at the end forEVER! it's so fun! I REALLY need to practice that triple step over the step when I'm NOT doing the workout. I always forget, but I never can do it. I am just lunge/jumping over the step instead. Ugh!

Also did abs. My intentions were to do the Weights part of Weights & Plates abs and then the Med Ball Abs (without partner). I got through the weights part and called it a day! omg, that is a hard work out!

Belinda: I bet you kicked it on legs and calves today!

Debbie: Those weights, once again, amaze me! You got some strong legs there!! ... Hmmm..no good ideas for your biker friend's bday. Not knowing what she has, probably a GC to a bike store would be best.

Roxie: How could you pass up working out for Margeritas and dinner? :p You made the obvious choice. It is hard when you have so many distractions. Hope things get better!

Heather: It is raining today, and I would have loved to run. Oh well. My legs have some pretty decent DOMS from STS Trisets yesterday. So maybe a run would not have been so great anyhow. Enjoy your rest day!! really!!

Jessica: Cardio machines aren't my thing either. But with music, anything can be better! Have fun tonight at Kick class! Glad to hear your sister is doing so much better..

Nora: NICE workout yesterday! And all that busy-ness! I hate days like that. It must be so hard to walk your puppy like that. Would you consider obedience/training classes? My Buddy (chocolate lab) can be such a good walker on the leash. BUT, if he sees a dog, or gets excited (as in our walks at the park) , he pulls SOOOO hard and is all over the place. 75 lbs of pulling force has knocked ME off my feet a few times!

Chris Sounds like you had a great workout. I just wish that blast was more like Step Blast - where you do each combo once all combined rather than combo 1 3x, combo 2 3x, combo 3 3x if that makes sense. I want 1, 2, 3, then repeat.

And seriously, what is up with that stupid triple step???? What's crazy for me is that I can do it on one side but not the other. Seriously? can we say mental block.

Debbie - nicely done on that leg workout today. Oh, yes! My legs are rubbery too. LOL! My DH's bday is coming up this month, he likes riding bicycles. I will order one of those stands (not sure what they called?) were he can ride the bike at the house, Maybe a shirt or a nice water bottle? Enjoy your weekend.

Debbie-I don't have to be to work until 9am and I am hoping with the time change next week I can get up and get it done in the mornings. Right now its still dark outside at 6am and I don't want to get up, its to warm under the covers. I promise to really try hard to get up.

You really should. Once you get use to it it's nothing. I'm usually up by 5:30 and start my workout around 6:30. I don't have to be to work until 9 either. And then you can go home after work and not worry about having to do a workout. Spend all the time you want with dh. Once you get use to getting up early, it's not so bad, I promise. :)

TOTALLY agree. Once you get used to getting up, its so much better than spending all night working out after work. At least for me since I get home so late anyway from this job that I hate!

I am actually sorta looking forward to time change JUST so it's lighter out in the AM, even tho it means it'll be WAY dark by like 4 in the afternoon for awhile. BOO. I hate winter.

Met value= 10.0 feels like 20.0 LOL!!
Calories burned= 445 it feels like there should be at least one or two zero's added to that 445, making it 4,445 at least, right? I know ya all agree with me on that one.

CTX- Upper Body Split= 56 Min
Met Value= 6.0
Calories burned= 459
OMG! That is one tough upperbody workout. Its high reps which surprised me I was all set to go STS heavy and then there were all these high reps and it humbled me so I went with the weights Cathe and crew used on it. My muscles still were shaking like jello when I was done. I did skip the deadlifts since I did them yesterday and my low back was still sore from those. Deadlifts and my low back don't always play nice with each other.

Total calories burned from today's workout= 904!;):) Yep, stick a fork in me I'm done!:p;)

Debbie- Wow girl! Those weights your lifting aren't just awesome I'd say your weights are inspirational, and awe inspiring. You are da bomb on today's legs and calves workout ! Bravo!!!!:eek::cool::D

Heather- I hope you enjoy your rest day, you certainly deserve it and your body will thank you for it. I hope that the weather is good for you run tomorrow at lunch and a nice longer one for Saturday. Take care and have a wonderful relaxing rest day.;)

Jessica- I know what you mean it does seem like it should be friday already. Great job doing Core Fusion and then STS Disc 8 back and tri's. Usually any of the upperbody workouts especially in STS all kick my butt. I always get DOMS. I know what you mean about cathe getting ya good on that one, she got me good today on CTX Upper Body Split the killer was it was high reps so I felt bad about reducing weights to what they used inthe dvd but I soon realized hello muscle endurance is in the house. Yikes, she definitely got me good. If you have CTX you might try Upper Body Split this was my first time doing that one and it was awesome. I recommend that one. WTG, Jessica you rocked that workout today. ;):D :eek:

Roxie- Its ok, don't beat yourself up about it. Things come up it happens. It was really nice your hubby had margaritas and dinner waiting for you when you got home. I think that is worth missing a workout and spending time with the hubs. I wish you a great workout tonight with TF HiiT 15 and 4DS Chest, Tris and Shoulders and a stretch it sounds like a great workout. It will feel good after being at work all day you can release any frustrations etc with HiiT and weights, enjoy you can get this one done girl, I have faith in you. ;)

Chris- Great job with Step Moves that sounds like a fun one. I have that one just haven't done it in a long time. I'll have fit it in the rotation this month, thanks for reminding me.;) Oh man STS weights and Plates abs is killer, just brutal. I applaud you doing even part of it. I'll have to try that and just do the weights part then another day do the plates part. That's a good idea breaking it up just to make things fun and more time efficient. Great idea!!! Bravo girl, on today's workout!:cool::D;)
