Crazy, strong & loving it for JULY!

Chris-may I ask what kind if migraine medicine you take, I have tried Maxalt, Imatrex, Zomig, Ultram and Tordol with no success?

I just finished my workouts for today and feel great, so I'll just check in now.

Insanity- Cardio Recovery= 34 Min
Met Value= 4.50
Calories burned= 209

To The Max Premix #9 Fitness Tabata Only= 17 Min
Met Value= 7.0
Calories burned= 162
Wow! what a killer workout and I was out of breath and sweating up a storm and that was only a small taste of the whole workout. My hat is off to those of you that have done the whole workout, bravo:D

Total calories burned= 371

Good Morning,

I ended up not working out yesterday DD wanted me to help her clean the new house and then she changed her mind and by then it was to late so I just sat and relaxed hoping it would help with the headache and it is much better today just a little one. Tonite I will go to the gym.

Nora-good job with your workout glad to hear you are feeling better.

Today was Total Body Trisets: Lower Body and a 30 min run. I did Turbo Jam Punch Kick and Jam instead of the run . I'm not used to running in the hot weather, Didn't want to push it. TBT Legs was hard, my hamstrings are sore from yesterday's TTM lower body stuff. But i pushed through it!

Nora: Nice job dipping into TTM! The premix options are so cool with these new workouts. I'm going to do a premix off of CF tomorrow, instead of the entire thing again. She has the 3 times each week of the July rotation! Gonna kill me, and bore me . LOL!...

Roxie: Sounds like you needed that rest. I've had a hard time with my headaches. I truly believe they are sinus related. I do a number of preventative things for them (allergy pill (zyrtec) nightly, Flonase steroid nasal spray , nightly). But when I end up getting one, the ONLY thing that has worked for me is Aleve-D. It has pseudoephedrine in it, so it is a stimulant. I can't take it if I want to sleep. But it is the only relief I can get when I get bad headaches. And i've also tried Maxalt and Imatrex. And something else. Even Vicodin. No relief. Only the Aleve-D. If the Aleve-D doesn't work (rarely) , 600mg of Ibuprofen sometimes works instead. ... My headaches are quite complex! LOL!.

Oh my goodness its super hot here today, that so does not play well with my MS. I did get a little lethargic today running an errand and hitting a few garage sales. I let myself recover and get cool before attempting any workouts after that just to be safe.

Here's today's workout:

Insanity- Cardio Power & Resistance= 40 Min
Met Value= 11.50
Calories burned= 628

and then it was killing me to try a short premix of Cathe's new CrossFire so I did that too, and it was awesomeness of course!:D:)

CrossFire- Premix #2 Timesaver Low Impact Tabata= 18 Min
Met Value= 7.0
Calories burned= 172
Love It!!!!:D

Total calories burned= 800

Yay! I didn't think I'd be able to workout at all today because of how the heat was effecting me but after cooling down and feeling much better I decided to dig deep and do my planned workouts for today. I'm so glad that I did too!;) I know the premix I did today of CrossFire was a small sampling and I gotta say its so worth getting, so I hope if any of you were on the fence definitely feel free to jump in and enjoy, you'll be fine. We are after all Cathletes.;)

Sorry for not checking in the last few days. Having a blast in Florida!

Saturday I did iTread Set 2 60 min on the TM. Today I did CCV1 on the TM. The hotel got a nice gym with a weight room( lots of weights) and a nice cardio room (TM, ellipticals, bike).

Off to the shower, will try to catch up tonight. Have a great day and workout.
 
Good morning everyone. Still have that pain but it's SLOWLY getting better. Today I did Yoga Stretch and felt great afterwards. The worst is when I sit still, it gets tight and starts hurting again. This week I will concentrate on stretch and light yoga workouts. I may get on my treadmill and walk for a while just to get moving again.

I ordered Cathe's Yoga Relax and haven't received it yet. I don't know why, I usually get her workouts 2 days after I order them. I emailed them and hoping to hear from them soon.

Hope you are all doing well! Sorry I haven't checked in, me and my dh were on a mini vacation last week so I wasn't online at all.
 
Good Afternoon,

I have had a busy morning so just now checking in. I went to spin class this morning and tonite is a PT session this is the last month for those then I am on my own again. Yesterday DH and I went shopping and I tried on and bought a size 4 pair of shorts I haven't worn that size in years so I was excited about that and then we came home and bought a boat for 800.00 that needs all new seats and carpet on the floor but its a start.

Debbie-sorry to hear you are still having pain but I hope you enjoyed your vacation.

Belinda-sounds like a wonderful hotel.

Today was To The Max. I just had to do it, even though it was a big workout for a Monday after night shift weekend. I took breaks, but got it ALL done! :eek:

I just finished today's workout and even added on a CrossFire Premix to boot! Yep, you can say I was out of breath and a sweaty mess that's for sure, but great workouts both fun and tough!

Here's today's workout:

Insanity Fit Test= 30 Min
Met Value= 11.0
Calories burned= 451

I improved in most all of the exercizes in the fit test done today over the first fit test but for two of them because I have a tough time with those two.

CrossFire- Timesaver Fire Walker Tabata Premix#3= 18 Min
Met Value= 7.50
Calories burned= 184

This was my first time with this particular premix and it was fun but brutal I have to confess I used a green firewalker band and not the blue. The green one was handy and I did not want to kill my legs with the blue one which is the toughest of the firewalker bands. I felt I got a great short but intense workout in and it was perfect as an add-on workout as I did or if your short on time.

Total calories burned= 635

Chris- Wow!!! ^^^5's girlfriend that is no small feat doing To The Max after working night shifts this weekend, well done! Excellent job, and I'm sure you feel great after the workout aside from tiredness from work I mean. :);)

Roxie- WOW!!! You tired on a size 4 shorts and they fit!!!:eek::cool: That is like got to be up there with winning a gold medal or something, bravo girlfriend!!!!!:D I'm so happy and excited for you that is a great affirmation of all the hard work you've put into workingout and working with a personal trainer that is just awesome. Nice workout today also in spin bike class and have a great workout tonight with your PT. Fantastic job, keep up the phenomenal results, they are so worth it!;)

Debbie- Sorry to hear that your still having issues with tightness and pain but it is getting better so that's a huge plus. I'm glad the yoga stretching is helping to alleviate that tightness. Starting back into working out slowly as you mentioned easing into just walking on the TM is good just really listen to your body and be safe. Oh, on not getting your Cathe's Yoga Relax tape you ordered yet, I'd suggest contacting customer service they are awesome at getting back to you and resolving things to your satisfaction. Get some rest, stretch, and be well;)

Belinda- Nice job on your workouts at your hotel gym, bravo for workingout inspite of travel. Congrats on what sounds like your having a blast of a vacation, have fun and enjoy!;)

PT kicked my ass tonite we did alot of cardio stuff using 15lb wts. The weather was awesome today so glad the heat broke.

Nora and Chris --- thanks for your rewiev on the new workouts! I am still on the fence about those workouts:( how are they different from AB and AT? Are the moves similar to AB or AT? I am sure, the workouts are fun...but I am tired doing the same exercises over and over again. Wow, Cathe is coming out with 10 new workouts:eek: How many workout dvds do I need:eek:

My husband ordered a elliptical a few weeks ago, can't wait!

Debbie - sorry to hear you still having trouble with your shoulder. Take care!

There was no spin class this morning so I slept in and tonite I will go do intervals on the TM or Elliptical not sure yet.
 
I'm doing really good today, the stretching is definitely helping. I even rode my motorcycle yesterday with no problems. I need to keep the stretching up, I just hate doing it, you know?

I contacted SNM about my DVD that I ordered and here it got stuck in their system. Not sure how that happens. They said they would get it right out to me so at least I should get it soon. Yay! I can't wait to try it.

Those of you who have Yoga Relax, is there good upper body stretching in it?

Debbie-I find that one to focus more on the lower body but there is and upper body section at the end that uses the sliding discs and band.
