Crazy, strong & loving it for JULY!

Good Morning,

I did intervals on my TM at home and remember now why I quit jogging or running my body just didn't like it. Tonite is a session with PT.
 
So I think I'm finally going to be able to start working out on Monday. That's my plan anyways. My pain is gone, I just have a little bit of tightness and I'm trying to work that out with my stretching. Doing my Yoga Stretch workout each morning makes me realize how tight my muscles are. I even have a hard time sleeping on my left side because my IT band is so tight that it hurts to lay on it. It is getting much better now with all this stretching.

So my plan for a few weeks is this:

Monday - Yoga
Tuesday - Treadmill
Wednesday - Total Body workout
Thursday - Yoga
Friday - Treadmill

I'm going to see how that goes and see if the yoga will help my muscles loosen up. On the days I don't do yoga, I will make a conscience effort to do my Yoga Stretch in the evening. I have too. I may even get out the Stretch Max workout I have from Cathe.

I hope one day a week with weights will be good enough to maintain my tone right now. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Debbie-sounds like a wonderful plan to me and one that I need to start following on the stretching in the evenings.

Sorry I've missed a few days... I've been keeping with the July rotation, Tuesday was High Reps, Wednesday was IMAX 2 and today was Crossfire. I have to say, 2nd time around with the entire Crossfire workout, I LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Felt like puking after the last Tabata, but I loved the WHOLE thing!!!

Belinda: Definitely different than AB and AT. And the premix options are HUGE. Lots of Tabata, and different moves too. The Tabata with the firewalker band. Oh Em Gee.

Debbie: Glad you're feeling better! I think your plan for next week is great. EXCELLENT idea to ease back into it with 2 stretches/yogas a week. Very smart. And then as you progress, you can shorten the stretches/yogas and combine with shorter weight/cardios on those days, if you want to.

Nora: Still kicking it up with Intensity? How is your body handling the high repetitive impact of those workouts?

Roxie: Nice job with the PT. I think the Treadmill gives running a VERY bad name. HATE the treadmill. Running outside is where it happens!!!

Tonite the PT kicked my butt as usual and then we foam rolled so now I know how to do that I might buy one.

Chris-I can't run outside it hurts my knees and this was short 1 min or 30 second runs then walk.
 
Hi girls;)

I just finished today's workout. I did ice my knees for two hours today and they did feel inflamed after yesterday's workout as well. Due to this I decided I wouldn't go any further with this second round of insanity. I decided to listen to my knees and back off all together with Insanity. So, that's what I'm going to do. I'll still workout but I plan to take this weekend off from working out and just rest the knees then start back Monday with probably a premix from either crossfit or TTM or just do something from LIS. I think tomorrow I'll do a Cardio Coach on the Spin bike and some abs something nice and no impact so I can give the knees a vacation for a few days.

Here's today's workout:

Insanity- Cardio Recovery= 34 Min
Met Value= 4.50
Calories burned= 209

To The Max- Premix #7 Step Tabata Only= 17Min
Met Value= 7.0
Calories burned= 162

Total calories burned= 371

Today was Muscle Max! Hadn't done that one in a while, good total body workout! got evverything good.

Roxie: Too bad about not being able to run outside. I think the fresh air makes it all the better and more enjoyable. Nice that the PT did foam rolling with you!

Nora: I wondered how you were fairing with Insanity and your joints. I've read it is very repetitive hard on the joints cardio. And easy to get injuries. One of the reasons I won't purchase it. Maybe doing a bunch from Low Impact Series plus the 2 new ones would be good for you next week.

I figured I'd better do a nice no impact workout today which meant Spin Bike to me and Cardio Coach can always reduce me to a sweatfest regardless if its on the Treadmil or on the Spin Bike. I love the versatility of Cardio Coach, thanks Coach Sean and god rest your soul!;)

I went to the gym and did the stationary bike and my legs are killing me. I got my new glasses tonite and its weird with the bifocal.

Nora-good job with your workout.

Chris-good job with your workout. The dr. gave me Tramadol for my headaches.

I went to the gym this morning and did 35 mins on the TM then another hour doing the wt machines and I have decided I need to break that up because that is to much time spent at the gym.

Belinda-I plan on ordering them, I am just about done with the trainer.

I worked out today trying to workout a head of doctor's appointments this week so I won't skip any workouts that way.

Here's today's workout:

LIS- Afterburn- Random Burn Premix= 60 Min
Met Value= 8.50
Calories burned= 696

WOw! Those dixie cup lunges get ya after you get fatigued. Those discs are tough stuff but I love how the ab work was utilized with the discs doing spidermans, mountain climbers, and burpees you definitely did lots of ab work with those babies. It was a great sweatfest of a Cathe workout and the intensity was there but my knees were blissful with the low impact which was awesome! Loved it, so glad I Pre-ordered the LIS Series before it came out, its a keeper.

Have a great weekend and are any of you ordering Xtrain at midnight? I know I probably will since I can't resist and I always know I can do a Cathe workout and can count on the form, safety, and quality of them.

So I'm starting my rotation today. I did a premix of Cathe's Yoga Relax and really liked it. It was about 20 minutes long. Felt good but some of the poses were held too long for me. I know I need practice. I feel pretty good right now and plan on going on with my rotation but being very careful.

I liked this yoga workout and plan on getting the more vigorous one by Cathe as well. I'll probably order that sometime this week.

I tried to order the new workuts but forgot my password hopefully they will send it to me. I have a PT session tonite then I am going out to help DD clean the new house appraiser comes this week and then they can start moving stuff in.

Debbie-glad you enjoyed that workout it does a really good job of stretching you out.
 
Quick check in: got back from GA last night. This morning we drove Aleisa to the airport. She is picking up my son from El Paso and helping him clear his appartment. Soon I will have the house full again:eek:

After dinner DH and I will go for a nice long walk with the dogs. That's all I will do today, I am excusted from driving. We had a blast in Vero Beach. We stayed at Gloria Estefan Resort& Spa Vero Beach Hotels: Gloria Estefan's Costa d'Este Resort Vero Beach Central Florida FL Luxury Oceanfront Hotel Rooms Packages Spas Suites Specials Romantic Getaways Family Vacations Discounts Weddings Meetings Events. We had a suite....amazing:eek:

We ended up staying for FREE (1 night) plus 2 breakfast at the Hyatt hotel right on the river in Savannah, Ga:p when DH and I arrived the bathroom and compode had crap in it (if you know what I mean:() I was so upset, the Hyatt isn't cheap:( at $400 a night, I want a clean bathroom/bed. DH went and saw the manager, he said he will take $100 off! WTH? They did sent someone up to clean the bathroom and the girl felt bad. DH took a shower, he likes hot showers:D noticing on the mirrow saying " I will kill you:mad::eek: I couldn't believe that! Tell you, how the cleaing team cleaned, right? when we checked out in the morning, we got ask how we liked our stay:mad: I told the lady at the check out 'that was one of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed and I wasn't happy at all.I told her I would never stay at any Hyatt Hotels ever again. She called one of the managers (he was the manager for the cleaning crew!!) He gave us an option off a free night stay at another hotel or clear our pill. Of course, so we ended up not paying anything. I wouldn't stay in a Hyatt Hotel if the give me 5 nights for free:)

I just finished workingout today and it was a killer. I did the entire CrossFit workout without any premixes. Boy, I was sweating rivers of sweat and I felt awesome. I was worried it might hurt my knees but I'm happy to report my knees did not hurt doing this workout at all, so YAY!!

Here's today's workout:

Met Value= 9.0
Calories burned= 676

Debbie- I'm glad your shoulder is feeling better. Cathe's yoga relax is a great yoga stretch type workout I'm glad that you liked it.

Roxie- I hope they did send you your password so you can order the new workouts you were interested in. Have a great PT session tonight!;)

Belinda- Welcome back from your vacation. It sounds like Florida was awesome and Georgia too, but sorry about a less than stellar stay at the Hyatt. I'm glad you said something to management about the condition of the room and how unsatisfactory it was. Oh well, I guess we can just avoid that hotel chain and learn from the experience. Don't let that deter you from having good memories of your vacation. Welcome back and cudo's on having a house full with the kids back visiting with you.

Today I got on my treadmill and walked 1.5 miles. My goal this week is to just get moving again. I was planning on doing Muscle Max tomorrow but I think I'm gonna wait a little longer before I lift again. I still have about a 0-2 discomfort in my shoulder blade so I don't want to rush it. Next week we are on vacation so I'm not even sure how many workouts I'll be getting in. So I figure one more week of recovery won't hurt me. I'd rather made sure this thing won't come back when I start lifting again.

After my walk I did Yoga Stretch and feel pretty good right now. Still a consistent pull in my shoulder blade area. Really weird. I wish it would just go away.

Well the PT was busy signing up a new client during my appointment time so I told her to call and reschedule with me because I needed to get out to dds house and start cleaning, she is going to do my next session at no charge but it also means I have to do back to back sessions which I do not like doing.

Debbie-good job just moving and give yourself plenty of time to heal.

Nora-sounds like a killer workout and I was able to order the new ones.

Belinda-doesn't sound like a very pleasant stay.

Sticking with Cathe's July 12 rotation this week. Yesterday was Crossfire. I did it on 4 hours sleep after working the weekend, and was kind of amazed at MYSELF for getting through the entire thing. Love that workout, though!!! I love how it's broken up into sections, so I tell myself "Just get through this section, it's ONLY 6 minutes". (But 6 minutes of Tabata! LOL!) Good stuff

Today was GS , Back Shoulders Biceps. Good workout, my back and shoulders AND biceps all burned at one point, so it's all good!

Belinda: The hotel in FL looked AMAZING!! Gorgeous!!! But :eek: on the one in GA. Nasty nasty. Glad you got it free. YOu really should have! ... SO you're kind of just winging it for workouts and not doing a rotation? Sometimes it's nice to do whatever you feel like. ..

Roxie: Definitely an hour and a half is too long at the gym!! I think because it involves probalby a half hour more of travel, dressing, etc. this is your last week with the trainer? It seems the trainer really kept you honest with the workouts every day. Do you still belong to the gym or was it for a limitied time?

Debbie: I'm going on vacation next week too!!! LOL!. . Sounds like a good plan to take it easy this week. cardio and stretches. Make sure you try to stretch on vacation too! ... Would you ever consider doing more circuit style workouts with weights instead of heavy lifting? Or maybe just go easy on the shoulder stuff. Even if you go way below your usual.

Nora: I LOVE Crossfire!! Glad to hear you're getting into the LIS too. I think your body needs that now. Great workouts as usual!!! I defnitely pre ordered the new ones!!! I agree, I have never been disappointed in Cathe's stuff. (except for Cardio Kicks... do NOT like that workout!). And she does everything with good form AND adds variety. Plus seems knowledgable of the new stuff out there and incorporates it into her workouts.

Chris-I have 5 more sessions with trainer and then I am done with her but I had to make a 1 year commitment to the gym so I will still be going there.
