Crazy, Strong and Loving it for Novemeber!!

Hi All!

Mixed the rotation up a bit for me today, couldn't do X10 after working overnights. So I did MMA Boxing + the Bonus Butt Work.

Glad you're better, Debbie, and that it may just be a misdiagnosis! But why the blood pressure problems and meds do you think?

Good morning,

Sorry for not checking in this weekend. Sunday was my husbands bday and Saturday we had Alesia's bday Everyone was off yesterday. Lot's of family time. Sunday we played golf for 5 hours. I was excused by the end, it was very windy. I was beat by the time we got home.

Today I will do KB and abs.

Today I did the lower body workout of STS Total Body again. I love that workout. My legs were wobbly when I got done

Thanks everyone! I'm so relieved that my heart may be ok. I won't know for sure until the 25th, but I think I'm fine.

Chris - The blood pressure med thing is probably because it runs in my family. Both sides. My dad died of heart disease. He had high blood pressure and so does my mom and my brother. So I guess it was just that it is in my genes. I don't know what else I can do to make it lower, though. I eat right (most of the time) and workout (most of the time). There isn't much else I can do. I feel much better since being on them, though. My headaches are minimal.

I did Lean Leg & Abs plus Barre but skipped the abs because right after I started the workout TOM hit and all my energy left me it was like hitting a wall, then I did 30 minutes on the TM.

Debbie-makes perfect sense, my family has a history of heart disease and the doctor says that is why I can't get my cholesterol under control.

Chris-good job with your workout.

Belinda-sounds like a fun time.

So I had the weirdest workout today. I did Cardio Coach #6 with Candace and only did Challenges 1-3 due to this weirdness.

I could not get my heart rate up. It took all I had to even hit 140 and that is just starting to reach my level 3. I don't know if it was my HR monitor or the fact that I'm on blood pressure meds. I hope it's not the meds, that means I'll never get my HR in the zones I need to be in. I ran faster than ever and still couldn't get my HR into the 140's. And only at one point did it feel like I should have hit around 150 but the HR monitor never reflected that. So I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I can't wait for my follow-up with my doctor. I'm keeping track of all this stuff.

Last night and this morning my blood pressure was up. Like 150/80. I've been taking the meds so I don't know why it was up so high. I'm keeping track of that as well. I take it in the morning and in the evening.

Anyways, look at these cardio results. With this workout I'm am usually at 34 minutes plus in above zone HR.

CARDIO STATS:
42 minutes total
10 minutes below zone - unheard of for me
27 minutes in zone
7 minutes above zone - WTF?

So I don't know. Could be the HR monitor but I doubt it. That thing has never been this far off.

Roxie: Yikes on TTOM. Sorry about that. At least you got your workout in first!

Debbie: What meds are you on? Some BP meds do lower the heart rate too.

Hi all! Today I did Pyramid Upper Body, Up Premix Only plus the abs. I had a pretty decent workout. I like that one.

Chris - I'm taking Bystolic. I havent had a chance to look up the drug and see what side-effects it has. Maybe it is slowing my HR. That's scary, though, because my HR is already pretty slow.

I did Xtrain CLB up until the last round I thought I was going to pass out I haven't been eating enough again. I will do a stretch in a little bit I need things to settle down.

Belinda, TF is a blast!!! That core is hard!!! .... Are you doing anything special for your foot? That is crazy it was so painful and bad and now it's ok? Did they give you anything or have you been doing anything for it?

Today I did 4DS Kickbox, cardio & legs. I did STS Abs w/ the Med Ball instead of the 4DS KB abs.

Hi everyone! Today I did Cardio Coach #6 with Sean and had a really good workout. Heart rate is still about 15-20 beats lower than it should be. I'm going to change the batteries in my HR monitor but I highly doubt that's it. The weird thing is, I feel like I did when I hit the 150's as I did when I hit the 140's this morning. It's weird. Like when I was at 142 bpm it felt liek 152-155 bpm. I know what that feels like. I'm not sure why my readings are so low.

Anyways, had a great workout.

CARDIO STATS:
60 minutes total
14 minutes below zone (really not like me)
31 minutes in zone
19 minutes above zone
469 calories burned
3.25 miles traveled


The last time I did this exact workout, these were my readings:

56 minutes total
2 minutes below zone :eek:
14 minutes in zone
41 minutes above zone
507 calories burned
3 miles traveled


So big difference there. I see I ran .25 miles more than I did the last time I did that. So shouldn't my calorie burn been higher? I don't get it...
