Crazy, Strong and Loving it for May 2014!!

Good Evening,

I worked out this morning but then we went to the lake. I did KCM Body Shop 1 and just a few minutes ago I did my planks.



Debbie-the website has been having problems since they started the live streaming classes thier server keeps crashing. Good job with your workout.

Chris-I do 3 1 minute planks rest inbetween each one and I use my cellphone timer for it.

This morning I tried Xtrain All Out Low Impact Step. I loved it! it was fun and she didn't go on and on with each exercise. It was really hard on my right knee,however. I have a real hard time going down for lunges anymore and some of the exercises really hurt. I wonder if a knee brace would help? I may have to get one and see. This workout had me work up a good sweat but didn't leave me dying like a lot of her other cardio workouts do. I enjoyed it and will definitely do it again. I forgot to post for yesterdays workout that I also did the Core #1 workout. My abs are sore today along with my bi's and tri's!!!

Roxie - I think Cathe's team needs to get a dedicated server for the live streaming. I can see how that would slow a website way down. Nice job on the plank work. I need to get back to that as well. Planks work everything and always gave me great results.

Nora - I think you're right, Xtrain is the best series so far. I think it even exceeds STS. I'm really loving it. I love the booklet that came with it, I've always been one to having to know what exercise is next. That really helps me plan. Nice workout yesterday! I need to pull out Rapid Fire again.

Chris - I'll definitely have to look into BB. It sounds awesome!!!

Belinda - Nice job on the yoga yesterday!!! I should be doing more of that myself.

P90X3 MMX and 4DS legs/core is done.

Debbie - I make sure I get at least 2 yoga workouts in a week:) It's helping my back and core. I been having back problems for years, what helped me is I don't go down as low with lunges as Cathe. You still get a good workout in. I have to use a chair for Mountain Climbers, otherwise I throw my back out. Modify, modify:p Glad you liked the step workout this morning.

Roxie - hope you had fun at the lake and with KCM workout yesterday.

Nora - wow, you did a lot yesterday. Nicely done!

Chris - wtg, on the BEAST! You are doing amazing with the program.

Please pray for me or wish me well or whatever makes you comfortable. I have a doctors appointment regarding breast tenderness that started last weekend. I think probably something to do with hormonal changes since I'm peri-menopausal. My doctor said it might be nothing but its one of those things its best to check it out. So I'm going to the doctor tomorrow please pray for me that all is all right. Thank you all in advance.;)

Debbie- Sorry your knee hurt today. I'd suggest on lunges don't go down as far keep them more shallow. Its ok to modify to suit you. Yes, isn't All Out Low Impact from XTrain fun it really is nice to have low impact options. You definitely sweat and burn calories with AOLI is super fun and more joint friendly which is a nice change of pace. I'm glad you enjoyed this workout and feel free to go shallow on the lunges and don't go down as far to modify on the lunges. Also a knee brace wouldn't be a bad idea to wear. I sometimes need to use mine and wear it at tines. It did seem to help me out so do what you need to keep it safe and fun for you. Great job on your workout today aboard the XTrain! Good Afternoon,

I had another night of horrible sleep it was just to warm and I refuse to turn the AC on. I walked on the TM for 30 minutes this morning its all I felt up to and I need to do my planks but I will stay on my elbows we had thunderstorms today so I have a headache.

Nora-thinking good thoughts for you I know how scary that can be I remember when I found a lump scared me to death.

Debbie-planks are great and they have made a big difference in my core. Good job with that step workout. I think you would like KCM's Kickboxing and Boxing workouts.

Today I did my own Burn Set Leg workout and then added some from Xtrain Legs. I had a great workout. Yesterday my right knee was really bothering. Badly. But today it's ok. Not great, but ok. I was able to do these exercises with minimal pain:

Dumbbell Squats - 20's - 2 sets 10 reps; 1 set 12 reps
Static Lunge - 15's - 3 sets/10 reps
Barbell Deadlifts - 42# - 2 sets 10 reps; 1 set 12 reps

Here I went to the Xtrain workout and did these selected exercises:

Low Pulse Lunges - 5# (love this exercise, burns great!)
Single Leg Deadlifts - 10's
Firewalkers - my stupid band broke. I'm so sick of having to buy these bands just to have them break after a couple months. Very frustrating
Pizza Press - No weights - These burn, love them!

That is all. I didn't want to over do it with my knee.

Nora - I will pray for you and just so you know, I have breast tenderness A LOT. So much so that sometimes I can't stand under my shower. It lasts a month or more and then goes away and comes back a couple months later. I chalk it up to hormone changes because my mammograms always come back clear. So please try not to worry about it too much, I'm pretty sure it's normal.

Belinda - Nice with the yoga! I REALLY need to start doing that again. I never go down as far as Cathe does with lunges. I can't. My knee really does hurt so I go down only as far as is comfortable to me. Sometimes it makes me mad because I don't feel like I'm getting a good workout.

Roxie - Sorry you didn't sleep well. Turn the AC on girl!!!!

I took my rest day yesterday, Today I did Beast Bulk Chest and KCM's Plateau Buster Premix (once through each round). It's my first day of TOM, so ., blech.....

I did workout earlier this morning and finished up by 8AM. I had a doctor's appointment a couple of hours after my workout and needed time to get ready shower etc.. So I couldn't check in until now first chance I've had a my computer to do so to check in until now.

Here's today's workout:

Calories burned= 258

Turbo Fire- HiiT 25 = 25 Min
MV= 10.0
CB= 341

Total Calories Burned= 634;)

I had to switch things up and do Saturday's workout today since it was a shorter workout. I will do Friday's workout tomorrow.

Chris- Hi and thank you. Dr. said things are likely wonky due to hormonal changes because I'm peri-menopausal. He did an examination and no lumps or anything, which I didn't find anything either on monthly self exams. But I do feel relief with seeing the doctor, so that's good he said to continue with monthly self exams and have my yearly mammogram in July. So that is a huge relief! Nice workout today with Beast Bulk Chest and KCM's Plateau Buster Premix (once through each round) good stuff great combo. Way to go girlfriend.

Belinda- Nice workout today WTG girlfriend. I see you did Finished P90X3 Incinerator and 4DS shoulder and calves. Awesome workout, excellent workouts, well done girlfriend.

Debbie- Nice you came up with your own Burn Set Leg workout and then added some from Xtrain Legs, nicely done! I'm glad you knee wasn't bugging you for the workout. I would still think about getting a knee brace to wear for cardio, I have mine for each knee which is nice. I don't always need them but its good to have when I do.

Another headache today because of storms in the area so I did my planks at work and thats it.

Debbie-the furnace was on last weekend so I just can't justify the ac and it wouldn't be so bad but its very humid. Good job with your workout.

Hi!!

Today was BB Leg day, but I'm changing BB Bulk legs up with more weight based/barre work. So I did Cathe's Great Glutes Standing Only Premix w/ chair/barre bonus. It was tough!! My legs were shaking!... I also did a nice very slow/relaxing stretchy meditation Yoga w/ Rodney Yee.

Nora, SO glad there's nothing to worry about! I hate scares like that. Nice job moving things around to make them work yesterday.

Roxie, sorry about the headache. I hope your weather clears so you can feel btter. WTG on still getting the planks in!!

I checked out "Ripped with HiiT" Cathe announced the new dvd set she's working on now and pre-order begins June 1st. This one sounds like the perfect union of heavy weights and Hiit cardio both low impact and high impact. Both the cardio and the weights will have premixes and are meant to be very time efficient.
