Hi and good monring,

I will do disc 3 (legs) today! Yesterday I noticed in WM all my 1RM for disc 3 are all messed up. My # are way to high, not sure how that happend? Thank goodness, I printed my workout card in Feb.:eek: I need to go back and fix that this weekend.

Morning! I did GS chest and triceps- was having a great chest day but my triceps were a weak mess. I was failing early on stuff and had to drop my weights a bit. Annoying. I would like to do a little cardio (maybe a run) but Max woke up early. I'll do it later I think.

Belinda: Enjoy leg day! I found that my 1RMs were weird for legs anyway. I just went as heavy as I could on everything and tried to up it each time.

Hey everyone - Today was STS Disc #26 Plyo Legs! Yikes! Time flew as usual and I had lots of fun. Thankfully there wasn't too much jumping onto the step in this disc because I would have woke up the inlaws for sure. :(

TGIF!!! Can't wait for the weekend to start!
 
Good morning. I just got done doing Leaner Legs and abs from SJP. This was my first time doing LL and I loved it. The time just flew by! She sure loves those low ends doesn't she????

Patti-thanks for the advice on LL. I wore my weighted vest for it to get a bit more of a workout.

Chris-I'm not going on the RT this year but did go last year. I actually did a Texas RT with 4 of the girls that I met last year. We have gotten to be very close even though we live in opposite parts of the country.

Belinda-did you enjoy the leg workout??

Hey Girls...

Not sure what I'll do today, I woke up at 4:30 with one of my headaches. Supposed to be total body weight work. I don't know, i feel horrible and the idea of doing anything makes my stomach turn...

As it is, I have to make the boys pancakes for breakfast, I promised my son and his friend that slept over last night...

I managed to get up early and get a run in with my DH. We ran just under 3.5 miles. I did have some major side stitch at the end of mile 1.5 so I had to walk for about 30 seconds then I was fine again. It was only 67 degrees here so we couldn't pass up the opportunity. So now I'm done for the day at least. :D

Last night I did SB and just the weights portion of the weights and plates abs (STS) 'cause I just petered out basically. Tomorrow will be cardio and weights.

Tonite is HS Circuit suppose to do challenge but I have never done that one before and it kind of scares me. I now remember why I don't take diet pills couldn't sleep last nite and I have the shakes today.

Meals:
brkfst-boiled egg and whole wheat toast
am snack-yogurt and banana
lunch-big salad with spring greens, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots and boiled egg for protein.
pm snack-cheese stick and nectarine
supper-grilled butterfly chops, brown rice(if I can figure out a way to spruce it up as in add flavor), some kind of veggie.
 
Hey Roxie - do you use vegetable stock (or you could use chicken) when cooking your rice? I am not a big rice fan b/c I find it so bland. I prefer quinoa or barley. But DH loves rice so when I make it I cook it in veg. broth (low sodium) rather than water. I also add in various herbs as well. It helps. I also typically pile my veggies on the rice and eat the 2 together to help with flavor.

I decided to start my rest week today. I've been having some bursting pain in my right knee that is really worrying me. Not sure what it is. Seems to be ok today but still. Also, woke up with neck pain and a headache. I got all dressed for my workouts, sat on my workout room floor and just couldn't get started. Figured it's probably a good idea to just take the day off.

Tomorrow we are heading to Youngstown to see my step-mom and get my dad's ashes. So I don't think I want to get up early to workout then either.

So with these two factors, I will take the rest of the week off, maybe doing yoga a couple times next week, and then start STS on July 31st. My only concern is we are taking vacation the week of Labor Day and I'm hoping I can somehow get the recovery week from STS in at that time. We'll see. I don't want to worry about getting workouts in when dh is home and we have places to do. I'll get it worked out somehow.

Really need this rest, I feel burned out again. Looking forward to doing STS too. Getting psyched about it.
 
Debbie - enjoy your rest week. It sounds like it is well-deserved and overdue! I am starting to get that burned out feeling too and am finding that my workouts are less productive than they should be. Even so, it's still hard to admit I need a rest. Take care of that knee too!

Needing a rest week here too, probably after the RT. I'm incapable of taking one until I get back. :p

Roxie: Ugh on no sleep- not worth it! I hope the symptoms subside or if not, you ditch them. I second the broth idea for brown rice. Also, try squeezing a fresh lemon in there too.

Chris: I almost forgot! I'm so sorry about the headache- maybe just do a Stretch Max segment to see if the blood flow helps a bit? Or just rest!

They didn’t have any food for me to eat, no salad, tomatoes, a veggie tray or fruit tray! They had chicken, chicken and more chicken, brats, rips, potatoes salads with mayo! Yak! Pork & Beans, 20 bags of potatoes chips, WTG! Who went shopping? DH ticked me off, he said they had potatoes salad and chips for you, I was ready to kill him! He is settling here and shoving chicken and rips down his throat and I watched him! I told him, I really enjoy watching you, while I am starving! I just got done working out; I always get so hungry after my workout and no food. I was not gonna eat chips after losing 2 pounds that week. I was too ticked off at DH! I told him next time he wants me to go with him, do you homework! If he wants me to go to all those military functions make sure that I have some kinda food to eat, not crap!

Patti, my numbers were a lot higher, by 25 -20 pounds! Nice job, with the GS this morning. Enjoy your run later!

Belinda - Ugh - I have been there and done that! I live in the south where the idea of not eating meat is like someone having 2 heads! I had a training class on Wed and was told that they'd at least have a salad bar. Ok, said bar included a bowl of mixed lettuce (mostly iceburg). Period. That was the salad bar. I can deal with salad bars if they have veggies on there. I don't eat meat, but I don't live on lettuce for crying out loud. It's infuriating sometimes.

So - I sympathize and feel your fury! :eek:

I haven't worked out yet, but it's been proven the last 2 weeks that once I get my day started (ie after coffee) I don't usually return to the computer.
Debbie....BURSTING pain! Good idea for a rest for you. I wish I'd gotten STS. I did pre order the STS Cardio, though. I think you'll be able to time it adequately to enjoy your rest week during your vacation with your husband.
Belinda...I'm sorry you got frustrated at the picnic. Completely understandable.
Karen...good job on Plyo legs. I only have the work cards for STS plyo. Have fun with the in-laws!
Chris...a headache and a kids' sleepover, yucky combo!
Patti, Bev, Heather & Nora..always good to read what you post.
I've hit all my upper body parts this week. I did almost 5 miles yesterday on the TM, some with incline and weighted vest and some jogging. Today I will try to do a total upper body.

Ah, I just did my first Cardio Coach outside! How fun- I've only done it on the elliptical so it was a new thing for me to run. I just did #1 since the rotation said a 20 minute brisk walk. Anyway, that is the perfect amount of running for me- I'm a happy girl. Made up for my triceps issue this morning.

Belinda: Oh how frustrating! We all have those moments and they suck!

Bev: I just keep one barbell loaded for my deads and have another for the rest of the work that I change the weight. I wear my vest too and that helps, but I still have to take it on and off for all the deadlifts. But it's still a fun wo. :)

Karen: Forgot to say hi this morning- love love love those plyo workouts. Don't you like mixing up STS? I really did.

Debbie, what rotaiton are you gonna do ? plyo legs or squat rack? I just deleted the 6 month roation, I will do the 3 month! Now I have to decite if i want to do the plyo legs or squat rack! My head is spinning! LOL!
 
Okl the headache must be contagious because mine is now starting to hurt must be something in the air. Didn't get to eat the yogurt and banana out on a delivery at that time. I figured up todays total calories and I am only at 714 what should I do?

Roxie - I forgot who suggested it the other day - but peanut butter perhaps (if you like it). Make a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread. Maybe add in a protein shake? Just make sure you don't eat just to eat (empty calories) however tempting that may be. Hummus would be a good choice as well b/c it's loaded with protein and fiber.
