Computer people please help

I need your help. My husband wants to know if there is a way to put a video clip from youtube or any website into a powerpoint presentation. His commander is making a powerpoint and at the end wants to show a movie trailer of Alien vs Predator Requiem to show the new troops the movie they will watch after training this weekend. They just don't know how to get the clip to download to the computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible to put a video clip into a powerpoint.

If you can download the video and save it in name.wmv or name.mpg file

Once the slide is open in the editor, you click on Insert from the drop down choose Movies and Sounds, from that menu choose Movie from File

Then browse to the directory and filename and hit OK

How do I save say a clip on youtube onto my computer so I can put it into the powerpoint? My husbands problem is how to save it to the computer. Thanks a bunch!!!

What browser are you using? I would search for a plug-in for this purpose that is unique to your browser.

Downloading from youtube is not that easy, but it is possible. I tried it...once! The best suggestion I have is to google "Download from youtube" or something like that. You will find a number of sites that will walk you through it. You will have to download an FLV converter to convert the file to something useable. Note that I tried it...once good luck. ;-)

Another source of video is to download the trailer of a film, quite often they are available right from the studio.

I don't know. My husband left a note on my neighbor's door and then he brought the disk over to me (husband not home yet). He said it was all ready to go and could be inserted into a powerpoint off the disk. One of these days I need to ask him how he was able to do it though.
