Belinda, whew! Glad you'll be all set with a new system. The new one might be more energy efficient also, which might help offset the cost over the long term.
 
Hi,

Today was a walk outside with the baby & Penne. They both enjoyed it, nice in the sun but colder in shady parts. It was a long day, hope to sleep good tonight.

Belinda - Great job with STS 2.0 trisets TB. It's good that you have a pellet stove. It's supposed to get real cold next week, so nice you will have a new system.

Cookie - Great job with core ball/cardio. It was nice in the sun for walking but bundled up. Hopefully your ice will melt soon. This isn't a good winter for walking outdoors.

Today was live zoom dance and a walk outside.

Debbie - great job on your walk outside with baby & Penne. Yeah, I still was cold with the pellet stove. Our house is over 5000 square feet. The heating company will bring us a heater I can use until Monday.

Cooke - nicely done with your core ball/cardio. Yes, the new one might be more energy efficient also, which will help offset the cost over the long term. We don’t have ice but it’s cold outside.

'Evening! Did Essentrics and a bit of yoga today.

Deb, that is a lucky little guy having grandparents who take him out on walks. My kids always loved that. How is Penne as a walker? One of our little dogs had legs that were like pistons. She could walk and walk.

Belinda, glad to hear it's not cold. While it was a bit warmer here, I still don't trust walking b/c of a fear of falling on ice. Glad you were able to get one in.

Today was ICE Chiseled UB and a walk outside. I think it will be a while before we can walk outside again.

Belinda - Great job with zoom dance & walk. It's great the heating company will bring you a temporary heater. DH's friend rents a bunch of apartments and 4 heating units have broken this winter.

Cookie - Great job with Essentrics & yoga. I wish Penne could walk and walk. She walks at a snails pace LOL except if she sees a squirrel :)

'Evening! An outdoor walk today. Was in a small city for work and which had very nicely cleared sidewalks! What a delight.

Deb, lol at Penne and a squirrel. the weather is supposed to not get colder starting tomorrow.

Belinda, that was nice and good business for the heating company to loan you a heater. Are you warm enough now?
 
Hi,

I saw the surgeon and I got the results from the MRI. My hip joint isn’t dying. I do have a tear in my hip. He wants to try with shots first, it that doesn’t work with the pain he will order more images for my back.He thinks all the pain can come either from my hip or back. I am starting physical therapy the end of this month for my shoulder and hip. I also have an appointment for my shoulder/biceps. No matter what I do, it will not get any better. I am getting frustrated.

The heating company got us 2 heaters to stay warm until they come on Monday.

I did live zoom dance this morning plus Pilates mobility for the hip.

Debbie - hope you doing ok?

Cookie - yes, that was very nice for them to bring 2 heater. The $$$$ we will be spending next week, they better bring us heaters, lol.They are a great company and local. Glad you found a city with nicely cleaned sidewalks.

Today was tb weights. Had intended to get it in earlier in the week but got it in today! More snow today.

Deb, have you and your dh decided on when to go to FL yet? Who will watch the grandbaby when you're gone?

Belinda, glad you'll be able to start PT later this month. You're reminding me I need to make another massage appointment. I'm long overdue.
 
Hi,

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. I needed to look for DH's passport and I'm not sure how but I can't find it. It wasn't with mine in the fireproof box which is strange. I will continue to look but will get a replacement just in case. We wouldn't need it until the summer months.

DH is under a lot of stress and is losing weight because of it. It should all be fine in a couple of months. Hopefully we can go to FL even though it isn't for a long time it will be good for him. We will know by Friday.

Belinda - Great news that your hip can be treated with physical therapy & shots. I'm sure it is frustrating hopefully they will help you with your shoulder/bicep. Great job with Perfect 30 UB, Pilates and dance. It's good you can start PT soon.

Cookie - It's good you were able to walk outside, it will be cold next week even in FL:( It worries us when we are away if my DIL will have help with our Grandson. He is just started walking so he it is more work. We babysat today and are going there more often to help.

Today I did Perfect 30 LB.

Debbie - sorry your Dh is under a lot of stress. I have a partial tear in my hamstring and hip. The shot didn’t do anything for my shoulder/biceps and triceps. Been getting PT and shots for the last 2 years. Surgon wants to see if the shot will help with the pain. Did you find your DH’s passport?

Cookie - I hope the PT will help for my hip and shoulder mobility. I already do so much mobility workouts. I also need to schedule a massage.

Today was a long walk on the TM. It was too cold for me. We are not going to go to FL. I'm a little bit bummed but we will visit another time.

Belinda - Great job with Perfect 30 LB. Does a tear repair itself over time? I didn't find DH's passport. I am in the process of organizing over the next few months so hopefully I find it.

Cookie - I hope you are staying warm.

'Evening! Managed an indoor walk today - it was far too cold outside.

Deb, eldest ds lost his passport, and I was very surprised it only took about a month for a new one to come. Sorry your dh is having stress - it impacts so much physically as well as emotionally and mentally. Getting good childcare and support is very hard. What other support does your dil have around?

Belinda, I have that wo in mind to do next week. I do like the shorter time period of the Perfect 30s. How are your dd's wedding plans coming along?

I am not moving, but I am getting rid of stuff like Diane, things I don’t use anymore. Things I never wear.Today I cleaned out 2 dressers, went through my closet (still need to get rid of more). Filled up an entire huge bag of clothes I will donate to the homeless shelter. Went through my linen closet too.

I did Pilates Stand Tall with a broomstick = 40 min.

Debbie - a tear can repair by itself sometimes. We will see. I can’t get more and more steroids. I will not go for shots after shots. I rather take the pain and move on. The shot is experimental in my case. Surgeon wants me to give it at least 4 weeks after i get the shot to see if get any results. If the shot helps like it does in my knees, I only get a few days relieve. Not enough giving what steroids does to the body. After what he told me last week about steroids I am very worried getting more and more. With RP I have no choice but to take it. Sorry you can’t go to FL. Hopefully you guys can go soon.

Cookie - P30 is great if you short on time. Well, I had no idea that in the US the mother of the pride has to pick the color of her dress. On my future son in laws family are waiting what color I will pick or if I pick a long dress? I haven’t decided on a color yet nor the length of the dress I will wear. DD and I will go to bridal stores soon to get ideas for her and me. I am not in to all that fancy dresses. I also want to be compfy in my dress. Any ideas would be welcome.

I am done for today. I am tired.
 
Today was the granddaughter's birthday party - 2 years old already! Anyway, there was a bit of snow when we started out but it soon turned really icy. There were many cars off the side of the road and accidents. After 2 hours, we were only about 45 minutes from our house, so we got off the Thruway and went to get something to eat. The roads were a little better after that hour of so, but then we just gave up and came home.

Deb, hope your husband will be less stressed soon. For me, organizing is an endless project!

Belinda, just decide upon a color you look your best in, and then what do you want to wear. My mom was definitely not one to dress up at all but when looking for a dress for one of my niece's wedding she fell in love with a dress. She even bought a necklace to go with it. She had her photo taken with it, and she was radiant. She wore that dress to a few more weddings, and we ended burying her in it. It's a great memory.

Today was a walk on the TM. I didn't want to go out but I had a hair appointment. I felt guilty cancelling last minute. It was supposed to be a 1/4 of an inch of snow & ended up being a couple of inches along with icy conditions. I drove really slow and it wasn't too far so it worked out.

Thank you both for your well wishes for DH.

Belinda - Pilates Stand Tall with the broomstick sounds like an interesting workout. It sounds like you are taking the right steps for your hip. Sending positive vibes it works. Are the steroids you take like men/bodybuilders take? Just curious.

Cookie - I didn't realize how bad the roads were until I was actually on them, even the main roads. Luckily I only had to go 3 miles. Smart/safe move to go home. DH said he saw multiple car pile up accidents. I saw a pick up truck swerve & a car accident. Sometimes small storms are the worse. Happy Birthday to your Granddaughter! It went so fast.

Hi,

Today was live zoom Pilates Power and Posture (Weights) = 40 min. I had a chance to talk to the instructor at the end of the class to get her option on what I shouldn’t be doing. He gave me a lot of good advice. Once I see the PT, she wants to put plan for me together. So sweet of her. She has had 78 people on live zoom.

Tomorrow I will wake up early before the heater gets installed.

Debbie - great job on your TM workout. It’s so cold outside.I will get an intra-articular corticosteroid injection. I read you it can damage the cartilage. I will contact my rheum to see what he thinks. What are bodybuilders take?

Cookie - that’s a great idea. I will look once I have time to see what I like. My favorite color in dresses is black. Not sure if black is appropriate for a wedding dress? Awww….so glad your mom like the dress so much. That is a great memory.

'Evening! Gym Style Legs today. Boy, that is one long workout. Guess I have gotten use to those that are less than 40 minutes. More snow again today.

Deb, glad your travel was safe. Yes, it was really icy out there yesterday. We're going to try again tomorrow to go visit and bring her a couple of presents. Doesn't it feel good to have your hair done?

Belinda, yeah, I'm not sure how your dd is going to feel about black for your dress. Maybe a dark navy? You're getting such good advice on what to do and not do on your health journey. Hope you get your new heating system tomorrow.

Today was a rest day. It snowed all day. I talked with both my Dad, his wife & my Mom throughout the day. It was long conversations so it was like a visit.

Belinda - Great job with Pilates Power & Posture, it was so nice of your instructor to talk to you after class. Wow, 78 is a lot for zoom & so nice she will put a plan together for you. I didn't do a fancy dress for ds's wedding. It was long but tea length, slightly shorter in the front and longer in the back. I wore sparkly jewelry and shoes (especially since they showed). In some ways I should have at least tried on some fancy dresses but I didn't. Cookie's idea for navy would be close to black.

Cookie - Great job with Gym Style Legs, one of my favorites. The Gym Style's are long. Tomorrow the roads should be cleaned up. Have fun & good luck! I love the way my hair looks with the dead ends cut off, not sure why I don't do it more often.
