Commit to get FIT & LEAN for November!

Good evening everyone. I did CSS tonight. Then we watched Charlie Brown Christmas on ABC. I am pretty tired right now.

So, DH sent me flowers at my job today with a lovely card. The secretary called into my room and said that I needed to send a student to pick something up for me. I sent this girl and she came back saying, "Someone sent you flowers, Mrs. A," in a sing-songy voice. It was an awesome surprise. I was blushing in front of the class. I guess he wants the bickering to end, lol.

Belinda- That's interesting how dogs will change when another one is thrown into the mix. I've only had a cat, and only one. However, my friend had cats and the first one made it clear that she was there first and the queen. Then when she got a third one, the second one acted like second in command and the first one protected the third one. . . bizarre behavior, lol.

Amelia- PH is one of the few workouts I don't own. I've looked at it a couple of times and so many people love it, but I can't get over the outdated style in that one, lol. I was thinking of asking for a fitbit. For my birthday I asked for the Nike fuel band, but I found it inaccurate and annoying to wear. Is the fitbit more advanced that the fuel band, do you know?

Lori- how did the viewing go? I am keeping my fingers crossed. I cannot believe they asked to see it three times. The market has changed. When DH and I bought, it was bid or lose it. Houses sold so quickly, and it was a sellers market. Not the case around here anymore. I wish we could sell and get something bigger, but the market has gone done so much, can't get what we owe on this house.

Cookie- I am saving the letters this year :) My district officially cancelled the February break. :(We are still off for President's Day. I am so glad I did not book a vacation for that week, lol. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Deb- how was your day in the city? I want to see some snow for the holidays, just not when I have to go to work. A weekend snow storm would be nice.

Okay, I am off to bed!

Kristin

Waving hello to Deb

Hi,

I did a quick bicep workout really tired today. NY was fun but the store is so busy. It's a real PIA where the stockroom is & it's so dirty from the rennovation. TG it's only a week or 2 after Christmas.

Belinda - Today when I was waiting for the train there was a woman training a seeing eye dog (the school is in our town) going up & down on the train. It was so interesting to see how smart dogs are. I hope the Dr. helps you with your sleep maybe you can pass the info to Cookie & my DH:)

Lori - Is tomorrow the "big" day, if so have fun & congratulations to DH:) Airlines are so strict with what you pack you may have to wear 1/2 your clothes not sure about the shoes though;)

Amelia - I'm going back to NY right before Christmas so I will be sure to tell Santa when I see him;)

Kristin - I bet all the girls will be talking about the flowers for days & maybe it gave a few hints to the boys for the future:eek: That was so sweet of DH.

Cookie - I hope your catching up on your zzz's.

Goodnight:)

Morning girls, quick check in then I will bb after work:)

35 minutes of Afterburn done this morning. Im proud of myself because this is the first intense workout that I've done in a while...

ok, off to get the kids up and moving. BBL:)

'Morning!
Belinda, I think it is my dh that bothers my sleep as well! Of course, he says it is me being anxious about not getting all things done for work. The wine didn't help the other night. Totally agree, another dog changes the dynamic. Dog training classes was one of the best things I've ever done, not just for me w/dogs but also teaching!
Amelia, got my shipping notice last night but the fitbit still is not here. Wish I had it this morning - must have walked a few miles in our snow-covered field with the dogs. They are looking exhausted. Did your darlings start their holiday wish lists?
Lori, good luck flying today. We'll be thinking of you. How did it go with yesterday's showing?
Kristin, PH is good. Funny how the outfits and all that don't really bother me until I read others' comments. Then I think of it more. Another reason I tend not to read those threads. Flowers for bickering? Gee my house should have looked like a funeral home at times.
Deb, ds sometimes buys the most ridiculous things b/c they are in the organic/health food section of the grocery store. TG it is his money and not mine. I believe in it for produce but not so much for processed food, which I care for. Weren't you at the NYC Macy's last year at Christmas time also? That's a hectic time to be there.
Snowed last night and so walked outside early this morning. The moonlight off the snow was pretty and sure helped to see.

Morning girls,

Not sure if I will do a weight workout or cardio today?
Cookie - which Fitbit did you buy? Did you take your dog to a trainer? And how long did you go? I think we are in this for a few month.

Amelia - good job with AB this morning. Glad your foot is feeling better.

Debbie - last night there were like 16 dogs total at training. I am not talking small dogs, 14 of the dogs were rottweihlers and the room where we train the dogs wasn't that large. All the dogs behaved, lol. I will pass the info to Cookie and your DH, lol.

Kirstin - one dog is always the pack leader, my German Shepard mix think he is, well according to the trainer you have to let the dog be the leader! Put he also is very aggressive to the other dogs, we are trying to change that by getting him /and the others training. Your husband is a keeper! That's so sweet!

I will report my workout later. Have a good one.

Hi,

I did High & Tight the band that came with it snapped so I used another one & it was much too tight need to find a better one but didn't want to waste the time tonight.

Belinda - All those big dogs would make me nervous. When I was a young girl our little dog was attached by my Mom's friends big dog & it was scary. I think he needed 70+ stiches but he survived by the way his name was "Lucky" LOL.

Lori - Today must be the big day. Have fun & a safe trip:)

Kristin - I overheard someone say they bought "Charlie Brown Christmas" on demand & paid $10 it would have been cheaper to get it at Walmart & have it all the time instead of once:confused:

Amelia - Afterburn is tough but fun too, great job!

Cookie - The moon was really bright last night & tonight it does look beautiful on the snow. The NY girl goes home to Oklahoma to visit her family & hometown for the holidays. I can't imagine growing up in Oklahoma & moving to NYC:eek:

Goodnight:)

'Morning!
Belinda, right now I'm just working with them, and it is going well. That's what I do when I can't sleep! We have numerous dogs and gone to training with them. They've all ended up getting their good citizen's award. We've had a couple of different trainers and learned a lot from each one. They both said the dog can think it is the leader, as long as it knows you are the leader. So, yes I'm head B around here! I think a lot of it is consistency, being quick to respond for good or negative behavior, and knowing what you want the rules to be. Sort of like being a parent or teacher.
Kristin, so did that sum up classroom management? Flower, wine, dinner last evening? I spoke with teachers from Huntington and they were out 9 days from school. It is so sad how many lost so much.
Amelia, still the fitbit has not come. I gave in and ordered the $99 model, whatever they call it, b/c of the stair feature. Not sure I want to know how bad my sleep is tho. I do think the data will be fun to see. A few years ago used to wear a pedometer and would sometimes try to add in extra steps in my house at the end of the day just to reach whatever I set as my goal No wonder my dh thinks I'm crazy.
Lori, how did it go yesterday? Hope the flight and travel went smoothly and the boys slept.
Deb, yeah, a bit of a difference! It must be hard for her to be so far away from family. That's very nice of you to cover for her. Doesn't sound like those bands are like Cathe's. Is high and tight another BBL? Do you find the holidays not as exciting now that your boys are grown? Funny this year, it seems like my enthusiasm is finally building back up for the decorating, baking, etc. Guess I had to get over the lack of gift shopping - it is all gift cards these days.
Walking in the field again this morning. Will take them out for another round shortly.
Cookie

Morning everyone. I did get a workout in last night, but I was too tired to post on here afterwards

I did TBT LB. I have some nice DOMs settling into the hamstrings this morning:rolleyes: . DS starts basketball tonight, so I doubt if I get a workout in. If I do, it will be Yoga Max. If not, it is fine. I am charting my rotation for December, but I will wait until Cathe posts a December rotation to decide what I would like to do. I guess my goal is just to maintain this month, with all the indulgences I will be seduced by, lol.

Cookie- I am the head B around here. .. lol. I think that sums it up just right. I am so happy this year because my students are so wonderful. It makes the job easier when you enjoy the children. Last year, it was tough!

Deb- $10 for Charlie Brown on demand?!? That's just craziness. I have the animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We watch that one over and over again, and love it each and every time.

Belinda- I guess cats and dogs have that in common then. .. someone wanting to be the "alpha" leader, lol. Yes, DH is a keeper (most of the time ;))

Amelia- love AB. Did you do a premix. I love the premix of single sets. It is fast, hard, and effective! Plus, I go all out knowing I just have each round to do. When I do the entire workout as is, I sometimes go easier the first round because I know what is coming, if that makes sense.

Waving hello to Lori! I am sure you are quite busy these days. Hope the house viewing went well!

Kristin

Morning girls

Just finished a 3 mile interval power walk with Leslie Sansome.

Yesterday was such a crappy day at work:eek: Negative people are so exhausting...we have a girl thats always complaining and has a bad attitude. She doesn't take authority very well either. I plan on talking to my boss about her today. Im sick of it. And whats worse is I used to consider her a friend. gesh, with friends like her - who needs enemies:eek:

Cookie-Hopefully your fitbit will be there today. If I can offer a word of advice...wear it in the clip on the inside of your pocket or pants waist, not inside your bra like I did:confused: It quit working and I had to send it back to them. They have excellent customer service too...

Kristin-Ive never tried the AB premixes? Will have to give them a go... Nice job on your workout. Did you preorder Xtrain? I can't wait for it to come (hopefully next month).

Belinda-16 dogs in a small room...wow. Glad your dog training went well.

Deb-Ouch on the band snapping...im always scared of that when I use the band:eek: It must have been a cheap band that came with it?

Hello to Lori, hope the house viewing went well.

ok, off to get ready for work. Im off tomorrow...yeahya!:) Its very rare that im off on the weekend.

Morning girls,

I walked 3 miles with the dogs yesterday, plus 1 hour dog training. My right foot felt it last night.

Cookie - I am lerning a lot at dog training. I am impressed with the trainer, he is fantastic. He is doing this for over 20 years. He is making sure that Chu Chu (our German Shepard) is listening/taking commands from me too while DH is in the same room. I am actually having fun too. What fitbit did you order? LOL!

Debbie - I gave the band that came with High & Tight to Alesia. I use Cathe's green band. All those big dog did make me neverouse at first:eek:, lol. Seems like every day those big Rothweihlers are there too. The trainer tells everyone to make sure, that you stay away/keep distance from the more aggressive onces. So that helps. That's awful about your moms dog. Poor thing!

Amelia - you do LS off youtube or you her dvds? Good job, btw. Yeah, lots of big dog in dog training.

Kirstin - I guess you are right about cats and dogs having that in common, lol.

Lori - must be busy? Hope all is well.

Today I will D23 legs and abs.

I will be back later, today is no dog training:)

Just a quick check in: D23 + 10 min abs from the 10 Min Solution Belly, Butt And Thigh Blaster With Sculpting Loop :D That was tough! And stretch from CF!

Off to the shower. I will try to check in later:eek:

Hi,

I did Kickmax combo's tonight. I worked a half day today because DH & I went with my Mom to the cemetary for my stepdad can't believe it's been 10 years already. Afterwards we went out to dinner. I was so tired today hope to catch up on sleep this weekend.

Belinda - Your getting in a lot of workouts:) & dog training too!

Kristin - I'll have to check out AB premixes too because this month will be tough for getting in w/o's for me. At least they didn't take time away from Christmas vacation, I guess they really can't because of the way it falls.

Amelia - As I'm getting older I just don't have the time or patience for negative people:( Enjoy your day off this weekend:)

Cookie - High & tight is one of the BBL's. It is taking a long time to get over the sadness of the boys getting older at Christmastime. Decorating does help because I somethings bring back memories from when they were young. It's funny how the cold doesn't bother dogs, your dogs must love that you take them out.

Goodnight:)
