Good morning,

Today is D16 (CST):D

It's still snowing in Germany:confused: what is up with that? It started snowing again this weekend....I can't stand this winter anymore:mad: I need some sunshine! To top things off, it's freezing cold too:mad::mad: I was hoping by the end of Feb, I could run outside. I will be running in the gym! Sorry, for venting!

I'm going to try and get some functional in this morning, and then Chest/Back in tonight later at the gym. I wonder what the "DB" Situation will bring this week. :rolleyes:

Belinda- I hear ya! Winter sucks! Quads and Tri's are STILL on fire...*sigh*. Have a great workout today!

Cookie- Sorry you felt so bad! How are you feeling now?? So, to sum up, I eat green beans. Lots of green beans.

Helene- Ugh. Hope you enjoyed your day. Ugh. LOL

Kristin- I'm going to the offices today. It finally occurred to me to turn on and open my oven, even though that costs ME. Heat is included in my rent. How much snow did you guys get? Great workout yesterday!! I love 4DS!

Trish- Nice workout yesterday!! I miss doing Cathe weights! As soon as this comp. is over, I'm gonna definitely do a couple of rotations. I remember all the rotations started and not finished.......:confused: Sometimes you dont know what you have until it's gone! lol

Good Morning:)

Let's just say that I feel much better then I did yesterday morning:eek: Went out with the girls and I usually know when to stop drinking and start sobering up but nope.....not Saturday night! We stayed at one of the clubs until the lights came on...and then I went to a pizza joint:confused: Got home around 3:30, woke up at 7 with a wicked headache and sick:mad: The funny part of my story was that I took a load of towels out of the dryer, threw them on the floor and that's where I got comfortable. I slept on a load of laundry for 2 hours! I was in a position where my head didn't hurt anymore. I wasn't long falling asleep last night and I am so happy to be 100% again today! So yesterday was my rest day!

We had a blast though so I don't regret it. I laughed so much! I had this one guy who wouldn't leave me alone. His pick up line was "let me cook you a meal of trout"....who says that? I told him that he needed some better lines then that. He offered to buy me a drink and I looked at my glass (which was still full) and I said "not right now, but maybe in 30 mins or so....":eek: LOL Everywhere I looked, there he was! And he knew I was married...he didn't care. Anyway, I got lots of compliments on my arms too...and not from that guy! LOL He even said "when will I see you again"? LOL.....what a idiot!

So this is my first full week off of work! I also spoke with a girl saturday night and she has my number. She is gonna text me some time this week and we are gonna get together. I got to sleep in this morning b/c I didn't have anyone. I have someone at 11 and 1:30, and then this evening so I am gonna try to get my workout in soon. It will be a good cardio and UB. Although I should run over to my friends house and get the GS's and do those. Maybe I will wait and do UB tomorrow morning instead.

Belinda** Its snowing here again to. The forecast was suppose to be more snow on Wed but its changed now. We have ALOT of snow here. DH still hasn't cleaned off the back deck so its only a matter of time before something collapses out there. And then he will be whining. He is such a procrastinator. It drives me insane!

Iris** I can't wait to hear what stories DB brings this week either. And if there are none...then make something up for us.

Trish** Enjoy your workout!!!

Alright...I am gonna go check in to my other thread, do a couple of things that need to be done and then I am going to start my workout!

Well DH left this morning. He won't be back until Thursday :(. At least I am off this round. He has to leave again in two weeks for the second and last round of annual meetings, which will be 10 X harder because I have to work and my parents are in PR, so they cannot put Nikolas on the bus and take Chris to daycare. I have rotating help, and I am nervous about making it through the week :confused:. To top it off, it snowed here too SJRE#O$@$@#$@#$!I@)$@I). Now I have to freakin' shovel on top of everything else.

Belinda- I was just as PO'ed when I saw the snow outside this morning. I am soooooo sick of the snow. My Christmas lights are still up because we cannot take them down with all the snow and ice!!!!

Lori- glad you had a great night Saturday, even if all that fun meant sleeping on towels, lol. That guy sounds like a dope. Cook you a meal of trout? Lol.

Iris- we got about 2-4 inches, :p. If heat is included, they need to fix it ASAP! So is the diet part getting tough now. A friend of mine at work did a comp last year and the last few weeks she cut out almost all carbs, including fruit. I don't think I could ever be that dedicated, lol.

Trish- have fun with your workout today. I love the floorwork in B & G's!

today's workout is disc 19. I am a little nervous about the weight load for bench press. according to my wo card, I should be lifting 50# BB foe the heaviest set! :eek:

Hey ladies! Um so where is this thing called spring?? I have snow all over my yard!!! Which means....MORE SHOVELING! Ughhhhh. Anyway, on the agenda is shoveling, then Disc 7 & abs, then studying. I have off from class until Thursday but I have two exams that day. It seems like I have a test every week :eek:

Last night I had a dream that I forgot to bring my sports bras and WO clothes with me to the RT. I actually just bought a whole bunch of sports bras too from Champion: can't wait til they get here! My old ones aren't looking too pretty :eek:

Iris, of all times your heat goes out when it snows! I hope it gets fixed soon. Glad to hear you had fun rollerskating!

Belinda, I am dreaming of when I can run outside too. I don't even really like running but I would kill for the snow to melt and have it be 70 degrees out!!

Trish, hope you're feeling better! Ooooh, can you send me the bean burger recipe? I'm looking for new foods to eat so I don't get bored. Only 100 days til Vegas so I need to get serious with eating clean! You know what helps me with taxes? I have a folder that I keep; whatever forms, receipts, and statements I get that I'll need for tax season go immediately into the folder. Then when taxes come, I have everything right in front of me ASAP.

Helene, happy belated!! Did you do anything special yesterday?

Cookie, when you can, DEFINITELY see the Grand Canyon. We took a family trip to Vegas last year for my dad's bday and as his gift my mom and I bought tickets for everyone to fly over the canyon in a helicopter. It was amazing!!!!! Hope you're feeling better :(

Lori, you're sick too? Oh no!! Sending healing vibes to you as well. LMAO @ the meal of trout and sleeping on the laundry. Hahaha! Men are really stupid. We went out Sat night and this dude kept following me around...and his girlfriend was there WITH US!!!!!!! He was like "If I wasn't with my gf I would so be with you." Dude, really?! AND his gf was a scary Russian chick; I was NOT messing with that!!

Kristin, seriously this snow s#!t needs to STOP!!! Maybe you can bribe some neighborhood kids to shovel for you?? You will make it through the week, I have faith in you!!! Um yeah I wasn't talking about my Christmas lights...I still had my tree up :eek: LMAO!! I am so lazy with taking decorations down!! I HATE doing it!!!

Good Morning

I woke up feeling slightly better, still tired but I'll get over it once I get my workout in. Today is Burn Circuit 1 again. I seriously doubt i will do anything other than that because I have to work tonight -by my self:eek: No trainer tonight...its ALL ON ME to close:confused::confused: I've made notes and reminders, so will see how it goes...I'll be glad when the night is O>V>E>R;)

Belinda-Snow snow go away...im sending sunshine your way. Actually its pretty cloudy here today:eek: Have a good workout.

Kristin-50lbs wow...you can do it girl!!! Sorry to hear about the snow. Sending you hugs...its hard when the hubbies go away for while. Im sure you will be just fine.

Oh...BTW, I had a proud moment yesterday :D wrote on three cakes for customers and they didn't complain so I guess it was good:p I also made 12 dozen cupcakes (spiderman and hanna montana) I loved doing it...so fun. The only thing I didn't like was cleaning up all that crap when Im done. Im going to take some pics from my phone tonight for my blog if you guys wanna see...

I'm back ladies. Finished my wo and am sipping on strawberry-banana-mango protein shake:cool: I forgot how much cardio is in GS Legs. Between that and the B&G work, my hiney is toast. I added on CC2 which I haven't done in forever. My whole wo was a little over 2 hours and 1152 calories. I needed that. Since it was Helene's bday yesterday, I figured I should celebrate and went over on my cals last night. Talk about looking for a reason:eek: Anyway, I need to make this day a productive one so back to the taxes I go. Oh, and I've been doing pilates 2 x a week on cardio days for the past 4 weeks and have noticed a significant improvement in my flexibility, particularly with my plie squats and stretches. Think I'll keep them in my rotations;)

Belinda - Uuuggghhh, I hear you on the snow. We're in the same boat today. I think we got about 6-8 inches this morning. When will it end?? Thankfully, next week will be March. Spring can't be too far away:) How do you like Suzanne Deason's wo? I checked it out on collage video. I'm thinking about putting it into my netflix queue.

Iris - Ok, I hope this isn't obvious, but what is functional? LOL @ not finishing rotations. I keep eyeing Cathe's Rock Bottoms rotation for February. It looks insane (400 walking lunges!!), but I'm thinking about giving it a go...one of these days.

Lori - LOL @ you sleeping on the laundry. Nothing is more inviting than warm laundry! Glad you had a great time with the girls. I have a girl's weekend coming up in May and I'm already counting down:eek: Girl, go get those GS DVDs. GSL kicked my a$$ today. Especially the outer thigh band work at the end.

Kristin - I totally relate to the child care issues. Our morning sitter 'forgot' that she promised her afternoon family that she would care for their kids during winter break so now I'm taking the girls to their grandmother's at 6AM for the week and then driving to NYC or finding another train station to park at. It's all a PITA. I hope you get it worked out. I also am on snow shoveling duty:confused: Work it with D19 today!

Amelia - LOL!! I can see you are loving your new job. I will definitely pop in to check out the picks;). My motivation for my wos is pure desperation:p Something has got to give! Enjoy burn circuit;)

Melissa - Funny about the dream! Sounds like one that I would have. I'm due for some new wo gear myself. I think I will treat myself for spring. The book the site is named after is all about getting off of processed foods. I actually borrowed it from the library, but loved it so much that I never returned it and just paid the fee. Oh and I use a lime cole slaw from another site. Your Vegas trip sounds like it will be a blast;) Great tip on the taxes. My issue is that most of the expenses that have to be deducted aren't generated by me:confused:

SNOW here too!!! about 6 inches, so I'm am being very lazy this morning. After I type this will shovel where my BIL can't plow because of all the cars in my driveway. I will also do D13 chest, shoulders & tri's and go to work after lunch.

My son is doing well, my nephew had problems a few years back and he went to the same rehab but he decided to stay in Nashville. My nephew has been visiting my son which is helpful. So Florida will need to be put on hold for March because we have to go to family week in Nashville, TN the 1st week of March. Younger DS is not thrilled that we are postponing FL but we have to.

Helene - Happy Belated Birthday!!! I hope you had a really good dessert.

Belinda - Winter is not much better here in the states . . . well I guess Texas would be.

Iris - I hope you get your heat back, hopefully your keeping warm at the gym. We almost always go out for italian food and yesterday I spent the day cooking it:confused:

Lori - I woke up with a headache Sunday too, but I did make it to the bed Saturday night LOL I guess it could have been worse DH could have found you curled up in the dryer, ha, ha.

Kristin - Just as it was melting it's back!!! What a way to start the week. I hope everything works out for you this week. Do you have the whole week off?

Melissa - How did you get off? DS thought he had today off because of President's Day but colleges don't give many days off. Even the snow didn't help him only a delayed opening:)

Amelia - Is it tempting working around all those cakes? I'm guessing after awhile you will get sick of it.

Trish - LOL about cheating for Helene's birthday sounds good to me. Your workouts have been great. I glanced at that site and it looks good.

Cookie - Did you get lots of snow too? Do you have time off this week too?

sumo sqat w/hip lift -15lbs, 12reps
lunge with posterior fly-10lbs, 12reps
pushups with leglifts, 12 reps on toes
dead lift w/posterior fly, 10lbs, 12reps
lunge w/core rotation(don't like these, very awkward) 20lbs, 12reps
bench press/leg lower, 15lbs, 12reps w/band
squat w/side bend-20lbs, 12reps
forward lean lunge w/dble arm posterior fly-10lbs,12reps
chest fly w/hip lift- 12lbs, 12reps

I was proud to do all the pushups on my toes :) it was a good workout...only burned 200 calories though..oh well, still a good workout.l

Debbie-So far im not tempted, i see them as work instead of food:p although i wanted a donut when i got home yesterday night :eek:, its a good thing i didn't have any here;) Glad to hear you son is doing well. Its nice that he has his cousin to help too, someone that has been through it can help a lot...

Trish-your defintily kicking it up a notch with your workouts...WTG girl.

Workout & shoveling done! I did Disc 7 & Yoga-inspired abs. I had to drop to my knees on the last of the pushups. My arms are on FIRE; I could barely lift them to wash my hair! My brother saw the workout card for STS and he couldn't believe how intense it is. I said "Told ya! Just because a woman 'teaches' it doesn't mean it's easy." He agreed ;)

Amelia, your job sounds like so much fun! Great job on the pushups today!

Trish, great job on busting that butt! Holy cow, over 1100 cals burned?! YOU ROCK!!!!! Are you doing a pilates DVD? Thanks for the recipe link; I am definitely looking for ways to get off the processed food. My bio prof is a hardcore health nut, so he feels the need to disclose every nasty thing that's in processed food & I am running out of things to eat ;)

Deb, I totally missed that you're doing STS too! I'm glad to hear your son is doing better. My ex's brother was a recovering addict and it's a hard thing for a family to go through. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys! It's great that he has his cousin's support too, since he's been through it. We actually have today and tomorrow off for President's Day. The school's calendar has 1 less Monday in the schedule than every other day, so rather than tack on a Monday at the end of the year, this Wednesday is Monday make-up day, and since I don't have class on Mondays I get another day off :p
 
Disc 19 done. My tris and pecs are fried. Some weights on the wo card i just could not do with good form. Incline bench press called for 50 #, I struggled with 45 #. Cross body kickbacks called for 12#, I used 10 until teh last set and then I did 5 reps to failure with 12 #. What is up with that? :eek: Front press called for 15 #, I struggled by rep 8 and was done by rep 10. For those of you who have done STS before, is this normal?

Deb- glad to hear DS is doing okay in treatment. Addiction is so hard for the whole family to go through, but you will all get through it together. Florida will be better in a few weeks anyway, warmer and pool weatehr for sure ;). I am off this week, thank God. The next round will be so much harder. Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly. At least it will be my rest week for STS :).

Amelia- cool workout. Awesome job on doing all those push ups on your toes! ^5's! good job on not being tempted at work too. Sweets are my downfall and if I worked in a bakery, forget it!:eek:

Trish- 1100 calories burned?!? And I thought I was hardcore yesterday combining 4 DS kickbox with mma boxing, lol. It must be hard to have to commute to NYC plus cover your bases with childcare and have everything covered. I work 35 minutes away from home, and I find that to be a PITA at times, lol. We are strong though, we will get through it. We can do anything for a. . . week ;):p

Melissa- I was already thinking about buying some new workout clothes for the trip. My workout clothes now are not for public, lol. One thing I love about dvds and home workouts, no one sees your outfits while you are sweating it out, lol. We have plenty of time to shop, that is for sure.

I want to check in later, but not sure if that will be possible with the two wise guys. We shall see!

Kristen, my dh used to travel for weeks when the boys were younger. Don't know how I could have done it without the support of friends. But then when he would return home, we were so in to our routines without him, he felt left out and I felt like he was in my way! Too bad you can't go to PR to visit your parents.
Melissa, Mark Bittman has a lot of healthy recipes in his cookbooks. He used to have a weekly column in the NYTimes which recently ended. I was so disappointed he ended it.
Deb, glad your nephew is in the Nashville area and that you'll be able to go visit soon. It is a terrible illness. Did you make it in to work?
Trish, how do you manage to do such long workouts in? I'm still feeling so excited that I'll get to meet you soon, well in five months.
Helene, has your ds recovered from his oral surgery?

Hey Girls,

My quiet day wasn't so quiet after all. My 11 didn't show up and then wanted to come at 2:30:mad: Then my MIL came at 4......it was steady go. But I managed to poke lots of food in my mouth through out the day. I think I was making up for yesterday! I was also very thirsty, probably making up for yesterday as well.

My workout was 35 mins on the TM, 10 mins on the bike, CM2 and Disc 1. I probably would have done more if I wasn't suppose to have someone at 11. Tomorrow I will probably do a good cardio b/c I feel bloated now from all the food I ate today! And probably back and tris. Not sure if I will be sore disc 1 or not. Lots of pushups though.

I emailed my friend regarding getting the GS back and her response was "Are you sure you need to work those guns out more after punching that cop in the arm and hurting him on Sat night!" LOL I forgot about that:eek:

Kristin** I know its hard to figure out how you are gonna deal with everything when help is away. I think one of my friends has 1 person per kid when her DH is away. She goes a little over board! Nice workout!

Melissa** That's a funny dream. I am getting near the end of my parcels now. I had another sweater delivered today and I have one more to go. I keep going to the lululemon website to see what's new. I am sure if I needed something else I would buy it but I am good on workout clothes now!

Deb** Hoping that DS really gets the help he needs!!! You really never know what path your kids will take!

Trish** I am getting those workouts back this week. I will probably do them later this week. I am still wrapping my head around the fact that I don't have to work wed and thurs:eek: I could get some awesome workouts in. Nice job with getting it all in. I thought I was the only one who worked out for 2 hours:p

Ameila** Its so much easier to learn when you just do something! Atleast you will know for the next time. Good job with the pushups!!!

Cookie** I made it from the bed to the laundry. While I was lying there DS was lying on me and trying to get me up. I only had the energy to whine when he really hurt me. He kept saying "no,daddy be sick" LOL He likes for me to get up with him in the a.m. I think he knows that I get up and get my day started, where as it takes his father 20 mins to roll over!

AND I don't know why you guys are whining about SNOW. I pull rank! You need to see my lawn. The snow is up to the fence. I soon won't be able to see across the st! Its depressing and it keeps falling! I wanna move!
