Commit to get FIT & Lean for August 2014!

Good evening!

Wow, just did CycleMax in place of Low Impact Challenge. I always feel like Super Woman when I do CycleMax! Ah, LOVE it! The saying " You're only one workout away from a good mood" is SO true.:p

Belinda- I hope your dental appointment went well, the dentist is never fun! Great walk today!

Cookie- I had to chuckle at the " Horseradish capital of the world". I had no idea. lol Great lower body work today!

Debbie- Ugh, this week is dragging for me. I cannot wait for my three day weekend! ;) I don't have the four day splits, I'm interested in how that works. Great job!

Night everyone!

Hi everyone! Sorry I was MIA for a few days. I've been very busy, but I am managing to get my workouts in. Monday was FlexTrain, Tuesday was All Out plus core 1, and just now, at 5 a.m. I did Hard Strikes. That's right. Although I am not a morning person by any means, I am really going to try to get my workouts in before work, which means I have to be up at it at 5 a.m. It wasn't so bad. I almost tripped on my own feet only. . . 3 times, lol.

I have to admit, now that I am done, I feel good :).

Today is my first day back at work. I am presenting curriculum to my department in the morning. The rest of the day I am listening to lectures. ZZZZzzzzzzzz.

Plus, today is supposed to be 90 degrees!!!! It freakin' figures, lol.

Anyway, I will be back later for personals. Scout's honor!

Keep on working!

Kristin

Good morning,

Today I will do SBF Bare Fire 3 = 30 min = UB/LB Compound Trarget = 17 min.

Kirstin - good for you getting your workout in this early:) Good luck today.

Jessica - haven't done CM in ages. WTG and glad you had fun.

Debbie - good job on your weight workout. Love Bison and it's so good.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in after me. BBL!

What a boring day, lol. Glad it is over. Tomorrow we have two more training sessions and then a school faculty meeting and then time to set up our rooms. It was so hot in the building too, I felt sick.

Anyway.. . I survived. I also got my TOTM. Wondering if I will be able to get up early to workout. If I do, I am planning on doing some kind of circuit.

Deb- Dixie cup lunges always give me DOMs, lol. I went right in the pool after work today. Of course last week it was 70s all week. Today it hit 92!

Belinda- Thanks, we had a great anniversary dinner on Saturday night. We went to a fancy steakhouse restaurant. I got NY Strip that was out of this world!

Cookie- so no APPR scores today. Maybe tomorrow. What a way to begin the year,:mad::confused:. I am exhausted.

Jessica- I love the 4DS series. A lot of bang for the buck. So many premixes too. I got good results twice when I did those workouts in a rotation. It is worth the buy. Are they still doing Daily Deals? Might be worth buying during the deal.

Amelia- thinking of you!

Kristin

Hi,

Today I did 10 min. solution butt lift. All the walking on days I go to NYC is wearing me out . . . I guess it could have been the heat too:confused:

I did a test study a few months ago for gel nail polish you can do at home without UV lights it's polish & top coat. Well about a month ago it came out in stores (Sally Hansen Gel polish) and it is so hard to get, it is flying off the shelves.

Belinda - Any plans for the weekend?

Kristin - I didn't realize you back to school already:( I know now the temps are in the 90's:confused: but at least you have a pool to come home to must be the perfect temp too!

Jessica - Kristin is right about 4DS, it is designed to be used as 1/2 cardio & 1 body part each day, but with so many premixes so many options. I just saw Cathe has a Live Spin class tomorrow, that just might make me sign up for Live:)

Waves hi to Amelia & Cookie

Goodnight:)

Hi Everyone!

Just did Bis and Tris and 30 min of Hard Strikes. This was my first time doing Hard Strikes. So much fun. In Cathe's boxing workouts she always seems to say "Don't worry what you look like", and it always makes me laugh, because it's like she's reading my mind. :p

I would like to ask what everyone's goals are. Are any of you trying to lose weight or are you maintaing/staying fit? My biggest goal is to be fit (and make this a lifestyle), but I have about 25-30lbs to lose. I'm just having trouble figuring out how many calories I should eat and wonder if any of you can shed some light. I get different numbers from different calculators. I plugged in my info into the Workout Manager and a 20% cut from my TDEE would be a little over 1,800 calories! That sounds like a lot, as I am only 5'2". Sorry for the wall of text! TL;DR : Need help with calorie goal.

Kristin: Wow, your day sounded boring. :p I work in accounting so my days drag. I know how it feels. The heat just makes everything worse! Good job keeping up with your workouts. And Hard Strikes at 5am? Can't even...
Thanks for the advice on the 4 day split. :)

Belinda: Great work with the Barre! And I forgot to answer your previous question, yes my dogs are my babies. :)

Debbie: Good job working the buns! ;) I've seen those gel nail polishes a lot around here. My coworker has one, but she didn't like it. How did you find it? Did it last a long time while you were in the study? I saw the a live spin announcement, it makes me want to sign up also!

Hi Cookie and Amelia!

'Morning! Sorry for not checking in yesterday. It was hectic with having to go to one city to do a workshop in morning and another in the afternoon with a totally different one! Then last night went to a fundraiser, had fun and drank 2 beers that were scrumptious.
Belinda, Core Exhale are barre workouts. They're only 10 mins in length, so you can do a few, and then your thighs will talk to you all day long. Or at least mine do!
Amelia, how's everything going? I heard Leslie has new dvds coming out, or are out. Are you getting them? How's your brother doing?
Kristin, it's just not fair that this week is the great summer weather! Isn't it terrible to have boring pd, esp since it is no model for teaching? You must be all set with your plans, since you're already presenting on the curriculum. APPR scores? Our teachers haven't even gotten their schedules yet! Yeah, not sure how high school teachers are supposed to plan, when they don't know what course/s they're teaching. Students have schedules, but not teachers. Amazed and impressed at you getting your wo in so early. If it's not done in the am, for me, it just doesn't get done. With the boys in sports, it probably is easier for you to get it done earlier. Once you get used to it.
Deb, I got a bottle of that gel last Friday, but haven't yet tried it out. I've had the other gel polishes, but didn't like how strong the remover had to be. Hopefully, this weekend, I'll get some time for myself and do it then. There was a very limited selection of colors on the shelf. How did you get to be in the test group? Just curious.
Jessica, I workout for health and stress relief. I would love to lose 10-15 pounds, and could afford to, but those same pounds seem to love me too much to leave. Of course, I should watch my calorie intake more, esp. like those beers last night, but to tell the truth, it just doesn't matter that much to me. I'm 57 and my friends who are thin at this age, either seem to be skinny-fat or don't eat a heck of a lot. That's just not me. Last week, a colleague told me she feels hungry all the time. Not that I wouldn't really like to be thinner and trimmer, but I really try not to beat myself up over it, and be thankful for my health. Plus, my dh thinks I look great! (He's a keeper) Sorry for the long reply.
Up early to review notes for today's presentations. Hoping to get in dog walk this evening and a Core Exhale, 100s or band work.
Cookie

Guess who got up at five and did Circuit Blast? Me! I know, I cannot believe it either. I had to pause and think about those in out side thrust planks in the first round, lol. I was in a daze, haha.

Anyway, it's done. I have work today, but I get to set up my classroom after 12, so it won't be so bad. Then I am off until the 2nd when the first day for students begins for all of us. My boys get anxious and they are already showing signs of being nervous. They are always better after the first day though.

Cookie- no schedules for teachers. See that to me is ineffective. How can you expect teachers to effectively do their job and do it well, which is what all teachers want to do, when you do not even tell them what the heck they are teaching!?! I don't get it. Some people in my building don't have rosters yet (reading specialists) because they are basing those classes off of the scores and so the reading teachers don't know if they are teaching 6, 7 or 8th grade. Big difference! I am hoping to get used to working out this early. Yesterday it felt good to know I did it already and it was one less thing on my to do list. I hope I stick with this ;)

Jessica- My goal was to maintain for a long time. However, over the last year 7-10 pounds crept up on me. So I am fighting to get it off. I am dedicated to the workouts, but the food. The food is the problem, especially this week with TOTM and DH buying potato chips this week. I crave salt!

Deb- I thought of you when I saw the announcement for the live spin class today, lol. I think eventually I will cave and get the Cathe live. Just not yet.

Waving hi to Belinda and Amelia!

Kristin

Good afternoon,

SBF Hip, Back + Back of the leg = 10 min + Killer Abs = 15 is done:D

Cookie - nothing wrong having a little fun:eek: I believe I have that DVD:eek: I love Barre workouts, they are so much fun. And like you, I feel my legs all day long.

Kirstin - fantastic job this morning. Glad you had fun and the steakhouse sounds yummy.

Jessica - if you workout, I think 1800 cal is fine. Try it for awhile and see if you loss some weight;) If I go under 1800 cal, I usually don't loss any weight. It's like my body is holding on to every pound of fat:mad: I have my cal set at 1600 cal at MFP plus workout cal;) Maybe you are not eating enough food:eek:

Debbie - I am beat this week too. I think it's the heat? No plans this weekend, how about you? Next week DH and I will drive to Canada.

I will be back tomorrow. Have a wonderful day and workout, everyone.

Hi Ladies!

Thanks for all the advice on calories. :) Tonight was just 30 min of Turbo Barre. I ate a ton at dinner and just wasn't feeling it. I really need to reel in my eating habits as of late!

Cookie- Yum to your beers. :p

Kristin- WTG on the 5 am workout!

Belinda- Great workout today!

Good night!

Hi,

I did Turbo Barre tonight. It's been so busy trying to squeeze my work in & cover for the NYC girl:confused: We also have a bunch of get togethers all weekend so very little downtime.

Sorry I'm going to make this quick, need to get some zzz's;)

Belinda - Canada sounds like fun, in the RV?

Kristin - Kudos on getting up early this morning!

Amelia - How is your brother?

Cookie - Their is a test center right next to my old gym & all the girls at the gym would talk about it so I signed up. Now I don't remember if it was hard to take the polish off:confused: Mine lasted about 8-10 days but I am really hard on my nails a manicure would probably only last about 4-5 days for me.

Jessica - Hardstrikes a good one, I guess we were on the same page today with Turbo barre;)

Goodnight:)

Good morning,

SBF Bring Sally Up Thights = 5 min + Barre Fire Tabata = 40 min is done.

Debbie - good job yesterday. Yes, in the RV:eek:

Jessica - I felt like this on vacation:p Great workout yesterday.

Waving Hi to Cookie, Kirstin and Amelia.

Have a great day and workout everyone.

Hi ladies,

Are you welcoming any new members to your group? I just read through your posts and I'd really love to join if you are.

:) Wendy

Hi Belinda,

Thank you! :)

So since I got a welcome, I'll do a little introduction now, LOL.

Hello, my name is Wendy. I'm a married mom of a seven-year-old daughter. During the day I work in sports TV production, on the side I am a romantic comedy writer (you can find me under the Pen Name Aven Ellis at amazon.com.)

I love working out and do mostly Cathe and Kelly Coffey Meyer, and I try to eat Primalish most of the time. HA! I'm looking forward to checking in with you ladies and getting excited about the new Cathe DVDs coming this fall. (I'm doing Hiit now to prepare.)

Thank you for letting me join! :)

Happy Friday Ladies!

Tonight was XTrain Ride. So much fun and Jai's faces crack me up. :)

Belinda- Great workout combo today!

Waves to Kristin, Cookie, Amelia and Deb!

Hi Wendy, welcome! I am new to this group as well. :D

Good morning,

Plan for today is: SBF Vintage Sleek Sexy Shoulders = 10 min + UB Chisler = 12 min.

Wendy - my name is Belinda. I was born and raised in Germany. Meet my husband in Germany while he was in the Army. My husband retired from the Army after 31+ years:p We moved to the US about 2.5 years ago. My daughter is 28 years and my son is 25 years old. I have two dogs. Your job sounds cool:D

Jessica - I used to do Ride when we lived on base a few years ago. Maybe one of those day's I get a bike. Good job.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in after me. Have a great weekend, everyone.

'Morning!
Belinda, enjoy the trip. Are you going to Niagara Falls? I seem to remember you mentioning that at. Where else? Think of Lori while you're over the border.
Amelia, looks like a great day here for a walk. DH and I are going for one later. Does the holiday make you extra busy this weekend?
Kristin, our last hurrah! I plan on catching up on things around the house today, shopping and outside yard work tomorrow, and then celebrate "end of summer" with friends on Monday. You? Also, we're probably getting together with a few friends tomorrow, and this afternoon also have an engagement party. My workouts have suffered this week from too much going on, but am re-energized with the new month and school year coming up.
Deb, this weekend I will do my nails! They really need attention. I don't mind the $$ for a pedicure so much since they last long, but spending on a manicure that only lasts a day bugs me. Guess we're both use our hands a lot doing things. I bought mine at a small, local RiteAid, but they only had like 4-5 color choices. Were there more when you did the testing?
Hope you get to relax some this weekend with all you have to do.
Jessica, I have three dogs: one medium size, one small, and one really little one. I love my dogs. I'm also looking forward to Cathe's new ones. I love the feeling of anticipation
Wendy, welcome! Hope you love our group as much as I do. A very supportive group. I have a few KCM, but they are her older ones.
Yesterday I moved a desk and some boxes w/books in them, and my back has been asking me why ever since. Trying to keep moving and stretching today so as to not have any problems. Going for long walk w/dh in a bit, and will probably do some 100s for biceps and maybe shoulders. Yesterday was just the moving of stuff and walking up and down steps to do it. Now that I think about it, it was probably carrying the boxes down flights of steps that was aggravating. Anyway, met friends for pizza last night. Had fundraiser at a brewery on Wednesday, and can't remember as Thursday! Geesh.
Cookie

Hello all! Happy Labor Day weekend. I am about to get ready to go to my neighbor's house for a party, but wanted to check in before I went. I just finished Muscle Endurance. I really love this workout. All my muscles feel exhausted, lol. Yesterday was a rest day from working out. I just didn't have it in me. I did walk the dog though. I walked him this morning too.

Getting ready for work. I am organizing my plan book, and checking over my rosters, trying to practice pronouncing names, especially the unique ones. I cannot believe this is the last weekend of summer vacation, lol.

Belinda- great workouts.

Cookie- our last hurrah indeed. I always am filled with so many different emotions: nervous/anxiety, sad that the summer is over, excited to meet new students and start another school year, hope and the mindset to stay positive through all the nonsense. I know I will get no sleep Monday night, lol.

Deb- this weekend is a busy one for me too and I like to be over-prepared for work in the beginning, so I am getting up early (today and tomorrow) and getting everything I need to get done and more, lol. I want to enjoy myself this weekend.

Jessica- I wish I had a spin bike. Everyone raves about the spin dvds. Maybe one day, lol.

Wendy- welcome to our group! I joined this group after meeting some of the ladies on a Cathe RT years ago. I've been checking in ever since. This group really keeps me on track and motivated. I have two boys (9 and 6) and I live in NY. I am a teacher and school starts on Tuesday for us. Both your jobs sound interesting. I have always wanted to be a writer. I have three or four first chapters of books written, but nothing more than that, lol.

Waving hello to Amelia!

Kristin
