Commit to get FIT & Lean for April 2014!

'Morning!
Belinda, the yogurt is a good idea. I stopped at the shelter yesterday just to look and there were three beagle-mix pups. So cute. Didn't get one but did take photos to tease dh and dd that I was.
Amelia, how great that your talents are recognized. Do you make up a pros/cons iist to help you make decisions like this one? Glad your weather is nice, it is 32 degrees here. Not sandal weather yet.
Kristen, TG your ds is ok. It is so scary when they get injured and then to have to go to ER. Perhaps you'll be able to get a position as a staff developer. Sounds like you're moving in that direction.
Deb, a couple of weeks ago I was having the most bizarre dreams. Totally weird. Being attacked by the Taliban, being lost, ... This week has been better but I wake up every day feeling very tired. Glad things are better w/dogs. Do you ever get a worn out feeling after you return from vacation?
Yesterday was a rest day. A meeting was cancelled so I can home hoping to walk but it was raining. Today more 100s.

Good morning,

Today Cathe's rotation calls for 30 min steady state run plus B & G Premix: Floor work and abs. Tonight I will do P90X CVX. I think I will skip the 30 min cardio this morning:eek:

Debbie - the weather wasn't beautiful at all yesterday:eek: It was cold and windy:confused: Good job with your UB workout.

Amelia - at least you still have time to think about the bakery manager position:eek: Good luck!

I will be back later. Have a great day, everyone.

Hey guys. Tonight's workout was All Out plus core 1. I was tired, but I did it. I feel good too. I have to stop eating candy and crap! I was starving when I got home and ate a pack of my kids' fritos, and then the doritos . I had no self control.

Anyway. . . tomorrow is Friday!

Belinda- nice job! no leg presses in that one. . . but I hate the pizza press, lol.

Deb- I need an AB solution, My stomach is sooooo flabby again. I know it's more about what I eat. I just wish there was a solution.

Cookie- I feel like I am going in that direction. I love it. I love being in the classroom, but I love doing the PD and the Owl Center teacher course/plc. I gave out the evaluation forms for the PLC last night and I got rave reviews. Everyone wrote things specifically about me and one teacher from the high school said my enthusiasm for teaching is so obvious, it is inspiring. I feel great about it. This year I took more risks with my teaching and by putting myself out there and I am so glad I did it.

Amelia- interesting about the bakery position. Better hours and better pay? How could you not go for it?

Okay, off to relax.

Kristin

Hi,

Today I took a yoga class. When I was away my ds that lives with his gf adopted a lab/german shepard mix. I guess they call it a Shepadore (not sure if I spelled that right). I will be helping out the next couple of weeks.

Belinda - Which rotation are you doing?

Kristin - Today in yoga when we were doing a bunch of planks I thought I should just do them all the time to work my abs;) At the time it just seems to pull everything in.

Amelia - So many people must be relieved that she is leaving:p

Cookie - Ok this is so weird but one of my dreams was about the taliban too (I hear the twilight zone in the background)

Waves hi to everyone

Goodnight:)

'Morning!
Belinda, I got into Baltimore last night and was surprised by how windy it is. TG I didn't wear sandals - it is too cold. It's deceiving tho b/c gazing out a window the weather looks so pleasant. Any pans for the weekend?
Amelia, bet folks have a countdown calendar going w/that girl leaving. Is there a lot of employee turnover?
Kristin, congrats on the rave reviews, and it is great how much you are enjoying it. The planning takes a lot of time. All Out - how have I not thought of doing that one in a while?!!
Deb, weird huh? I try to not watch tv news b/c the images would stay with me and affect my dreams, but I have no idea where my recent crazy dreams are coming from. Hope I don't have to give up reading the newspapers. Your boys are so very lucky to have you. Sounds like it is going to be a good size when fully grown. I've read that planks are the best ab exercise.
Okay, have no idea why I've been awake since 3 am. Rested but couldn't fall back to sleep thinking of all I have to get done. So I had better get to it. Planning on a Jessica Smith walking (since in hotel room) and maybe some planks.
Waves to everyone else.
Cookie

Good morning,

I was so excused last night, never did P90X3 CVX:confused: So today I will do CVX and P90X3 Isometrix.

Cookie - it's windy/chilly here in for the last few day's:eek: How long will you be in Baltimore? My son and his fiancé came late last night, they will be staying this weekend:D

Debbie - you are a good mom:D Never heard of this breed? Need to google it. I am doing Cathe's Body Building rotation. I am finishing up the Gym Style this week. Next week I will do LIS.

Kirstin - try to do better this weekend. I like pizza press and anything leg lifting, lol. I like floor work in general, go figure.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in after me. BBL!

Hey girls,

Yesterday was a rest day and it was nice. Hubby and I went out for lunch and then to get groceries.
Today will be a weight workout after work then possible a walk.

Last week my PF was awful and I know it was because of those two step workouts I did. I just figured using the step platform would be ok...boy was I wrong.

ok, I will catch up with you all tonight or tomorrow. Have a great day girls :)

'Morning!
Belinda, actually outside of Baltimore for just this weekend and its for work. Went to dinner w/folks who wanted crab cakes at G&M. I had a chicken dish instead and it was good. Had the crab cakes there another time and while really good, I'm just not that much of a fan of crab cakes.
Got to go review my presentation for today.
Have a great day and workout everyone!

Hi guys. Ysetrday ended up being an unscheduled rest day for me. My neighbor invited me to go to the movies with her to see The Other Woman. Oh my goodness, you must go see it. It was hysterical. I loved it. The entire audience laughed out loud at every funny scene. It was great. Well worth the money :).

Today I doubled up because of yesterday's rest day. I did X10 cardio blast plus Legs and Glutes. I am going to take Baxter for a walk/run too.

I have to clean up the house because we are having friends over for dinner. DH took today off, but he has to work tomorrow and I have work to do tomorrow as well, so I plan on enjoying today :).

Deb- I did some planks today thanks to your comment :). I planked for 60 seconds and then did various planks, fast feet, twists, and regular. I felt it in my core! A shapadore sounds so cute!

Cookie- the planning does take a lot of time, and out of the 15 hours that we log in for payment, only two hours can be planning. I've already used my two hours planning time and I have more sessions to plan. Whatever. . . it is paying for my pool and I am loving the work, so I guess it is all worth it.

Belinda- I am going to try to do better every day with the eating until I get my belly under control. I need to add more fiber and more good stuff all around. I need to stay away from the candy and crap. I need to be determined!

Amelia- what weight workout did you end up doing? how are you liking the total gym?

Waving hello to everyone else!

Kristin

Hi Ladies! Back from Key West . Had an awesome time . Our group of 14 is already talking about planning our next trip---to The Grand Palladium in Jamaica. I guess that says it all about how much fun we had ;). I have a feeling our party of travelers will increase after they hear about our adventures in Key West . I actually did remarkably well with all the food and drink around me. I made omelettes most mornings for breakfast and drank beergaritas on our beach days (low-carb/low-cal beer mixed with frozen limeade). Then when we'd eat out, I'd split a meal and a couple of apps with my husband (and of course, I had some cocktails). Basically, I just ate when I was hungry. A novel concept. Hard to do when everyone else is eating, but I just did my own thing. Until yesterday that is. I guess you could say that I rewarded myself for eating sensibly by allowing myself to just go ahead and eat like everyone else for the last day. Gained about 4 pounds in all, and I'm pretty sure that at least half of that was on the last day . No matter. It won't be too hard to take back off, and I'm back on the horse today. Took Stella for a nice long walk to make up for our missed walks this week, and doing STS Plyo Legs today. Am going to a friend's birthday party at a Mexican restaurant tonight, so I know I'll be having a margarita (or two--for sure!). Will try to resist eating so many chips that I'm too full to eat my entree, but no promises. I didn't work out on my vaca (just did a few dips one afternoon) and won't be able to work out tomorrow because I'm going to pick up my daughter from my mom's (that'll be an all-day thing), so will have to get in an upper body workout on Monday, which is usually my off day. I was extremely sleep deprived this past week (didn't go to bed until well after 2 every night except Wed), so am still a little sleep-drunk (that's what I call it when I'm so sleep deprived that I feel like I'm hung over, even though alcohol's not to blame). Got back last night and slept 9 hours, but it only put a small dent in this week's sleep deficit, and I know that we will be up late again tonight at the birthday party, so getting up this Monday morning is gonna be even harder than it always is :(. I've never been so exhausted from a vaca, but it was totally worth it :p,

Belinda--Probably my least fav move is the pizza press! I don't like moves that require me to be in a tabletop position, on my knees & hands. Maybe because they are high rep? I don't mind other floor exercises though.

Cookie--Hope you are enjoying the change of scenery in Baltimore, even if it is for work. I don't mind planks too much, but I find them harder to do after a chest workout with lots of pushups because my arms & shoulders are already so tired. I don't really do a lot of ab-specific exercises because heavy weights and pullups/chinups really work my core. I am amazed at how strong my core is. If my skin were tauter, I'd actually have a visible six-pack :). Three large babies did a number on the skin over my abs though.

Kristin--I hate coming home from work hungry. I used to eat whatever I could get my hands on, and then I wouldn't be hungry for dinner. I've found that eating a small snack before I leave work, like some nuts or jerky, keeps me from coming home and eating before dinner. Or, I come home and make a sandwich wrap (I use the low-carb tortillas from Trader Joe's) or make a bowl of mashed berries and Greek yogurt. That usually keeps my pre-dinner snacking at bay :)

Sounds like all of you have been busy while I've been gone. April and May always seem to be super-busy months, with the arrival of spring and gardening/yard work, dance recitals, end-of-season sports events, graduations, end-of-grade tests, vacation planning, weddings, and the like. My calendar is full through June .

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Wish that I didn't have to spend the day traveling tomorrow, but looking forward to seeing my baby girl :D

Hi,

I'm not used to having a puppy in the house and with the 3 dogs it's been rough. They are so jealous of each other so need to be watching them at all times. DH is very helpful but it's still so much work.

I didn't even get a workout in today.

Belinda - Have fun this weekend with your son & his fiance:) It sounds like a fun rotation

Kristin - Kudos on getting planks in, wish they could count for me;) I've been seeing so many baseball teams playing around town, it's nice to see instead of snow.

Amelia - It sounds like you had a really nice day with your hubby.

Vickie - Your vacation sounded like fun!! A few pounds not bad at all:) LOL on still having parties this weekend.

Cookie - Your dinner sounds yummy:) It must be tough not being able to sleep especially when it's not your bed. Hopefully you will crash tonight.

Waves hi to everyone

Goodnight:)

'Afternoon!
Just got home, now have to unpack, cook, clean, and get ready for week! Hope to squeeze in a walk also.
Belinda, it is very cloudy and damp at home. Was so much sunnier in Baltimore. Hope you are enjoying the weather.
Amelia, how are you doing? Working this weekend?
Kristin, people have no idea how much time it takes to prep! That's actually what I'm getting anxious about right now - getting plans and materials in place for this week. Tomorrow SED is coming to observe me! Planks get ya good.
Vicky, glad you had such a great time! I'm sure your dd missed you.
Deb, not sure I realized the dogs were all staying with you! That is a lot of work. Your ds had better appreciate you.
Got in lots of steps and stairs the past few days. I'm feeling exhausted but have to get going to get ready for week.
Cookie

Hey girls,

Today was a 30 minute upper body total gym + 30 mins with Jessica Smith. I did her Walking for weight loss: Power Walking Intervals ( I think its called). It was a nice sweat after that weight workout. I also added in a 3 minute plank ( not at once, 1 minute at a time  )

Cookie-Glad you made it home safe. What did you cook? We had turkey chili tonight. I love chili, so filling. Im doing good, I'm off today and tomorrow so that helps a lot.;)

Vickie- Glad you had a good time at Key West, sounds like so much fun. Great job on your workout.

Debbie- I think my lab is mixed with a German Shepard, I don't know for sure because she's a rescue dog but her body is shaped like a Shepard but she's solid black when the face of a lab. Hopefully the puppy will tucker out for you and take a nap, they can be so rambunctious.

Kristin-Nice job on your double workout yesterday. I will have to go look for the trailer of the other women, I've never heard of it. You asked about the total gym...yes, im really liking the total gym. I wished there was some dvd's to go by though. I don't like the one's that came with it, the guy is so annoying:eek: Guess I could surf the web for some. I'm definitely telling a difference in my body, its getting tighter.

Belinda-Nice job on your workouts girl. How ya feeling these days? I know with the spring here my allergies are starting to act up, im sneezing a lot lately:confused:

Hello to Kelly, Lori and Melissa.

Have a great night girls.

Hi,

I did Power Hour today. The dogs played better today, and the puppy left she is so lovable. I may go pick her up on Tuesday again.

Since I heard about Daytona FL Roadtrip I've been thinking about going because we will be going to Florida the same time. I mapquested it and it's about 3 hours away from the condo. I have until Thursday to make up my mind:confused:

Belinda - I hope you are enjoying the time with your family.

Kristin - I was thinking the time from Easter to the end of the school year must fly by. Are all the tests over yet?

Amelia - DS's dog is a rescue too, his gf's grandparents took her sister which sounds like your dog. The dog they have is blonde actually looks like a fox. I'm surprised Total Gym wouldn't come out with more DVD's.

Cookie - I didn't realize your trip was so quick, but better for you. Actually DH does most of the work with the dogs, I just do the poop clean-up.

Waves hi to Melissa, Kelly, Vickie & Lori

Goodnight:)

Hey girls, im off work again today. I plan on getting in a workout here shortly. I want to do a cathe step. I got some new sneakers yesterday so hopefully my PF won't act up.

Debbie- Great job with Power Hour, one of my favorites. I think I know Cathe's every word on that one. I would love see a pic of the puppy, it sounds really pretty :) I say go to the RT, Just think...a vacation and a Cathe RT :) Your sure to have a blast!!

Hello to anybody who follows. bbl

Good morning,

Had a busy weekend:eek: DH and I did lots of stuff around the town/area we live. Tomorrow DH and I are going to a concert, I am excited.

Today I am starting the 2 week of Low Impact series plus P90X3 week 4.

Cookie - the weather in WV is crazy, one day it's warm, the next day I need the heater on in the house, then it rains like crazy:eek: Hope you got some rest this weekend.

Debbie - I say…go for it:eek: You already in FL! How long will you be watching the puppy? Puppies like baby's, they are a lot of work.

Vicki - glad you had a great time. A few pounds, not bad girl! I like leg floor work, so pizza presses don't border me at all. I like them:p

Kirstin - glad you had fun at the movies and dinner with your neighbors. The movie sounds like fun. Something I would watch. We watched Gravity a few weeks ago, what a disappointment:confused:

Amelia - have fun with your step workout today. My sinus is acting up, I don't have allergies. Thanks for asking! Hope you feel better soon.

I will be back after my workout. Have a great Monday.

Good afternoon,

After Burn is done!

Amelia - good job on your JS walk this morning. Which DVD is it? I think I have that one, I never done it.

I will be back tomorrow. Have a great one.
