Good Morning Ladies!
How is everyone? I set my alarm today to get up and workout before work but I could feel the DOMS in my legs even before I moved! LOL So I thought...I better not! hehe!
I posted on the OD forum how my race went. I was sooo excited last night when the results came in, I knew I did good but I had no clue how many people were behind me.
The day was kinda muggy and rainy but it wasn't to bad for a run. There were also tons of people there and I was soo ready! It was also broken up into groups so I got into the 85-95 mins group. I was aiming for 90 mins but was hoping for better.
I did good all throughout the race. I didn't stop for water, didn't tie my shoes, no stitches...etc...but on mile 9 near then end (which I didn't know was the end) people started to speed up and so did I. The finish line was a little further then I expected though and I started to feel sick. If the race was 11 miles, I would have had to stop and take a breather.
The results were 10 miles in 78:33 mins, came 9th out of 124 (age group), 67th out of 1025 females, and 372 out of 2047 people who ran. And boy are my legs SORE! There is also a 10 kms race here next Sun morning, Im thinking about doing that one as well.
I have to get ready for work! I will BB once I get there!
