Commit to get Fit and Lean for January 2014

Workout done! I actually had X10 planned today, not legs  I did the step part and the hi/lo. I actually find this workout to be pretty tough, and I seriously thought I was gonna puke after the 30 min  it was awesome though, great challenge. I decided to throw in Stretch Max w the band afterwards.

Have a great night!

Good evening,

Today I did P90X3 The Challenge(not P90X3 CVX), walked the dogs for 40 min and did 10 stretching. I did all push ups on my toes:)

Melissa - Antigua is so beautiful. I love traveling in the RV, can't wait. Good job with your workout.

Good night, everyone. BBL!

Hi,

Today I took a yoga class, Jessie taught us some poses using the blocks for assistance and it really helped me get them. I can only do a partial wheel but with the blocks I could do a pretty good full wheel.

Belinda - My neighbors are at Antigua this week it is the 3rd year in a row they have gone they love it. Your right as long as we can relax that's all that matters. Congratuations with push-up on your toes I struggle with that too.

Melissa - All of X10 or a 60 min. premix is on January rotation not sure if I will be able to do that:confused: I'll just do whatever I can. Great job with your workout!

Waves hi to everyone:)

Goodnight:)

'Morning!
Belinda, all pushups on your toes?!!! Awesome. Doesn't that feel good. Not that I would know... Did I miss you're going cross country this summer?
Melissa, this guy sounds really nice. Glad you had such a good time on your birthday. So is your date this weekend? Are you back to the Island this weekend?
Amelia, last night I went out to dinner and am proud to report I didn't have any wine or dessert. Of course, though I did eat my entire entre! looking over past journals is a good idea - I'm going to do that this weekend. Thanks for it. Checked scale just now, you're encouraging me, and I was down a pound! It seems to take a lot, I mean a lot, for me to lose anything. You're motivating me. Your daughter is already is sixth grader?
Kristin, you sound like me, liking to plan out what you're going to do. How's that rotation working for you so far? The thing I have a hard time planning is rest days! Those I just allow myself 4 - 5 a month as they fall. How do you plan for them?
Lori, how are things up north? I'm sure you're busy.
Deb, Florida would be wonderful, esp. after your holiday busyiness! Not sure if I can go on RT this year - right now I'm supposed to be in Tahoe. A wheel?!! Great. Not sure if I could ever do that.
Yesterday did Afterburn and managed to get in a lot of walking and steps. It is so hard to accumulate 10,000 steps a day. Does anyone else find that challenging? Even doing Cathe's doesn't get me that many steps - more in the 2-3,000 range. Find I'm either starting to walk in place or pace, which is leading to some weird looks!
Today was a planned rest day since I was out late last night.
Cookie

Hey girls,

Yesterday ended up being a rest day, I plan on getting a workout in after breakfast this morning.

Cookie-We can inspire each other!:) I thought about coming on here everyday and posting my calories for the day along with my workouts so I can stay accountable, but I didn't want to get too obsessed with it  but every time I was successful with weight loss I was kinda obsessed with it all? Great job with AB the other day.

Debbie-Great job with your yoga workout. Yay on the full wheel pose! When are you going to Florida again?

Belinda-Yay, pushups on your toes!! Awesome job girl :) Im eating 1700 calories a day for now. Im pretty sure I could get away with eating 1800-1900 calories on workout days, but I've got to see some progress to get motivated. I can always adjust my calories later. :)

Melissa- Another great workout for you, awesome job! The name of the chick flic was "The Ultimate Life" I just couldn't get into it:eek: I actually sat through a movie I didn't care for with my DH and the only reason I sat through that movie was because Ryan Gosling was in it. (Gangster Squad)

Hello to Kristin and Lori

ok girls, off to eat some breakfast and get that workout in. My house is a mess but I will clean it up later.

Good morning,

Today's plan is: walking the dogs and P90X3 CVX:D

Cookie - I lost my fitbit last year, yesterday they sent me an email telling me how many steps I walked in 2013:confused: Weird, ha? I agree, it's hard to accumulate 10,000 steps a day with the fitbit:confused: I did get it a few times, but only when I ran for an hour:confused: and walked the dogs for 45 min and walked up stairs 50 times:eek: You have to be active all day long and move all day long, never sit down:p I am excited to drive across county this summer, can't wait.

Debbie - I use my yoga blocks quit often when doing yoga. Some of those poses are tough. DH and I will go back to Antigua in the future, we both had a blast and the people are so friendly.

Amelia - you and I posted at the same time. Good job on your eating, girl! I always play around with my cal too.

I will be back after my workout. Have a good day, everyone.

Good morning! Today will either be legs & abs or yoga & abs. My lower body has some serious DOMS going on, so I'm not sure if my legs can handle a full-on workout  I'm going upstate this afternoon: gonna see some friends tonight for a belated birthday celebration and then tomorrow night I'm having dinner with my parents, brother, and his gf.

I met up with the new guy last night for coffee. He had to work late and also still needed to do work on the video, but wanted to see me so we decided that was the best bet. I offered to pay because he bought us dinner and coffee last time, but he wouldn't let me  Also, when we're leaving to go home from wherever we are hanging out, he will wait to make sure my car starts and that I get out ok before he leaves to go home himself. This sounds so cheesy, but it's little things like that that really stand out for me. Sad to say, I'm not used to this genuine behavior from guys so I'm kind of guarding myself and waiting for the catch. We are hanging out again Monday night.

Belinda, awesome job on the pushups!! I need to work on my pushup endurance SO badly. It's kind of a joke where I'm at right now lol. It really is hard accumulating 10K steps. The only days I do that are when we have class all day and lab cuz I'm constantly moving. I need to start wearing my fitbit again!

Deb, I need to throw more yoga workouts into my routine! You will be my inspiration;) Wheels are tough, awesome job being able to get into that position! Pretty soon you won't need the blocks!

Cookie, awesome job on the weight loss! And you have some serious willpower, girl! I could never turn down wine or dessert when I go out to eat  LOL @walking in place. Too funny!

Amelia, hm I never heard of that movie, but if it was that boring I will just take your word for it ;) Ooooh Ryan Gosling is SO hot! I could watch that man any day, any time. Have you seen "Crazy Stupid Love?" I love that movie! Doesn't hurt that there's eye candy in it either ;)

Waving hello to Lori & Kristin! Have an awesome day everyone!

Body Fusion on 6" step. Boy that workout kicked my bootie!I was doing all my step workouts on 4"...think its time to move up since im not doing any high impact.

Melissa-aww, the guys sounds like a gentleman. I can remember a time when My DH would open doors for me ( when we were dating) I loved that about him. I guess he doesn't think he needs too now  Awesome job on the doms. I will have to check out that movie...me loves eye candy ;)

Belinda-enjoy your workout! Sounds like a very fun summer for you with the RV. DH and I plan on retiring with an RV.

ok..bbl

Good evening,

I was very active today:p This morning I did 50 min Strength Training (circuit style) than I did 10 min yoga and 10 min abs:) In the afternoon I walked the dogs for 40 min and did P90X3 CVX:eek: Don't ask me….I had a lot of energy today. I guess:p Now I am ready to take a nap:D

Amelia - nice job on BF today. Is that a Cathe workout:eek: Haven't done her step workouts in forever:confused: There is no way I retire in an RV:p Not after living in the RV for over 8 month;) It's just my travel bus:)

Melissa - getting all those steps w/the fitbit is insane. JMO! You have to move all day long and never sit down:eek: When I lost my fitbit, I didn't replace it:p I was almost relived in some way:eek: My kids want me to get another one, I don't want another one. Too stressful! When I met my husband, he wouldn't let me pay for anything. He payed for my Taxi. He payed for everything. After all this years my husband still opens the doors for me. My husband warms up the seat in his car before I get in. He is a gentleman and I love it!

Cookie - congratulation on your weight loose. I find since last year it's harder to lose weight. It's very frustrating. Good job on your eats yesterday.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in after me.

I will be back in the morning. Good night, everyone!::p

Hey everyone. Sorry I didn't have time to check in. My laptop has been acting up (battery). I did do two workouts. Yesterday was PRS 2 (love that one more and more every time). Today I did GS BSB. My upper body is fried.

January seems to be soooo slow for me. Why is July goes so fast and January so slow :(. Work was a bit crazy. We had "staff development" on Thursday. The whole thing was a joke. I am glad I did not volunteer to facilitate this one. When we got the email asking for volunteers I could tell it would be a debacle. The description didn't make much sense and was very vague, which is such a bad sign. Anyway. . . everyone was talking about it at work today.

Wow Belinda! That is quite a day of workouts you had. Good for you. I'd reward myself with some ice cream, haha. Driving across country has always been a dream of mine. A few years ago I had a student whose family drove across country in the RV every summer. I'd love to that one day.

Melissa- I think it is always good to have your guard up in the beginning, but I agree with Amelia. . . he sounds like a catch. Most jerks aren't smart enough to hide their true colors for very long.

Cookie- I plan my rest days based on what I have going on that week. For example, I knew the dog trainer was coming Monday, so that was my rest day. Next week on Wednesday I have the second session of my course, so I know that needs to be a rest day. This week I took too, Monday and Wednesday. Wednesday was not planned. . . but needed! I need to remember to incorporate more yoga in my monthly workouts too. I always feel so much more relaxed after yoga and I rarely do it :/

Deb- I think I would do better with blocks too. I think one time I took a class and used them and just felt it was easier to hold the pose (I'm not so flexible) and keep my balance. I don't know about the RT. The more I think about it. . the more I know I don't have the money this year again.

Amelia- I laughed at your comment about your DH holding doors for you while you were dating. I've been married going on 14 years and whenever he actually does do those "little things" it brings back memories. Now of course, he only does them on our anniversary or when he wants to get lucky, hahaha. ;)

Waving hi to Lori!

Kristin

Hi,

I did GS back, shoulders & bi's. I was so tired feel asleep during the movie & news so I will make this quick because I need more beauty sleep;)

Belinda - That was some workout!! I would think fitbit is off because from the sound of it, it seems like you walked 20,000 steps:confused:

Kristin - Your right July goes so fast & January is a crawl. I'm looking forward to Groundhog Day & hoping he sees his shadow, well which ever will bring Spring quicker.

Amelia - I agree with Cookie you are an inspiration!

Melissa - You are having one big birthday party, it's fun to be young!!

Waves hi to Lori

Goodnight:)

Good morning,

After my coffee I will do P90X3 the Warrior and 10 min yoga. We are covered in snow, not sure if I will walk the dogs today? We shall see.

Debbie - I don't have a fitbit anymore, but I am pretty sure I got a lot of steps in yesterday. I was tired last night:eek:

Kirstin - I was so tired after my workouts, I didn't even eat all the cal I was suppose to eat yesterday. Still had over 500 cal left.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in after me. BBL!

Good Morning!

It's so hard to keep up with personals when I don't check in everyday! Ugh! I need to make it my priority! Lol

Another work week over! Home with the boys this weekend and dh is working days. The weather has been awesome here lately. It's been -3 or 1....so much nicer then -30! So I am goin to take the boys sliding today I think.

All my workouts this week were good. Another week of p90x3 and I am into my 3rd week. Yesterday was suppose to be yoga but I thought I was suppose to do the challenge. When I woke up at 5 to workout, I really wasn't ready to deal with plan b....so I just did what I thought I was suppose to do. I didn't wake up at 5 to do yoga! My shoulders were screaming at me this week. This week I think I am going to fit the burn sets DVD in and legs as well.

I will check back in later and keep up with those personals. Hope everyone is well!!

Lori :)

Hey girls! It's snowing up here: SO pretty! Even better that I don't have to drive in it ;) Today I'm planning on doing MMA Boxing and the heavy bag bonus. I'm also finally helping my mom take down all the Christmas decorations. Tonight, my brother is coming over for dinner. I'm excited to see him. I also have to tell him that I wound up taking one of his med balls back to the island and put it in my gym lol

So, in addition to my 2 leg days a week I also decided I should incorporate more yoga into my routine. I really do feel great after I do it, but I can't tolerate more than 30 min cuz I get bored. Last night I did abs and the Yoga Max premix. I feel sore today, but refreshed :D

Amelia, nice job on Body Fusion. That one sneaks up on you!

Belinda, WOW your day yesterday sounds amazing! Can you send me some of that energy? OMG your DH sounds amazing! You're very lucky to have him :) He sounds like my dad; my parents still act like they're dating. It is very cute and I always feel so lucky that they have the relationship that they do. Did I ever tell you guys about the time my mom went to Italy with friends for two weeks and my dad missed her so much after 3 days that he bought a last minute plane ticket and flew out there? It was like something out of a movie :D Nice job on getting all that yoga in!

Kristin, oh man my mom tells me about her staff development meetings all the time: what a nightmare! I really feel for you guys. Last night she was almost crying about how much she hates her job; my dad wants her to try and stick it out for 8-10 yrs because they need the retirement money but she said she feels so burnt out and miserable that she doesn't know if she will make it past 4. I don't have the money for the RT this year either. I wish I did, because I had so much fun when we all went. It's just not happening.

Deb, what movie did watch? Hope you got the rest that you needed!

Lori, LOL it's so funny to hear the weather being nice at -3 degrees! Nice job on your workout and congrats on making it to week 3 of P90X3!!

Waving hello to Cookie! Enjoy the weekend girls!

Hey girls,

High Reps back, shoulders, biceps & squats + 30 mins of Turbo Jam done after work today. I was really dragging during that turbo jam but I pushed through and got it in:)

I saved some calories for some wine tonight.

Later girls...I will catch up with personals tomorrow

'Evening!
Belinda, where do you get your energy?!!! Wow, you and Lori!
Melissa, I'm liking this guy! He sounds wonderful.
Lori, lol at -3 being nice weather. I'm definitely a wimp.
Amelia, great job getting your workouts in and saving for wine.
Kristin, hope you're having a date night.
Deb, we're having snow here - are you? Did you order px90, the newest version?
Did a metabolic this morning but now I can't even remember the name! Spent the day w/staff development. Think my brain is fried.
Cookie

Hi,

Today I did about 40 min. of X10, I was supposed to do either 60 min. or the all of X10 but I would need to work up to that. I think that workout was designed for Lori to do all of the DVD in one session;)

I'm still trying to catch up with things around the house.

Belinda - There is a new informercial on P90X3 that I am taping & want to watch tomorrow just curious to see how they present it. I may bring with me on vacation to check it out.

Kristin - I hope your having a fun weekend:)

Amelia - I noticed the new Shoprite by us has a place where they have deli meat already sliced & wrapped. I wonder if they sell a lot of it. Great job with your workouts.

Melissa - You would probably like power yoga, the time flies by. For regular yoga or pilates more than 30 min. & I'm watching the clock. It was a pretty snow here too, only a trace.

Lori - So I shouldn't complain we'll be getting 18 degree weather this week:eek: Are you the only one who runs in -3 weather? That is amazing . . . I saw a lot of runners today but that was because it was 40 degrees here.

Cookie - I started to do Yin Yang yoga but didn't have it in me to hold poses for 3-5 min. but it looks like a great workout before bed. Did you work from home?

Goodnight:)

Good morning,

I will do a nice stretch today, that's it.

Cookie - I don't know where I got the energy on Friday:eek: I am sure, I will not do those long sessions to often:p

Debbie - when I watched the infomercial on P90X3, I was like not for me. It just didn't appeal to me. You really have have to give those workouts a try in order to say if you really like it. JMO!

Lori - don't worry about catching up on personals every day, just keep checking in with us. LOL, I don't want to walk my dogs when the weather is in 30's:p Brrr..that's cold. Good for you!

Amelia - nice job on TJ. Need to pull then out next week. Enjoy your wine.

Kirstin - how is your weekend going so far? Are you still walking Baxter in this weather? We are cover with snow.

Melissa - you can find a lot of 10 min to 20 min yoga on youtube. Your dad sounds like my husband, lol! So cute, he flew to Italy. My husband would do that too. We do everything together, lol.

I will be back after my stretch. Have a great Sunday.

Good morning! Today will be XT legs and abs. The house is void of all Christmas decorations, finally; it looks so empty. My brother never showed up for dinner last night: shocker. Supposedly he is coming tonight but I'm not holding my breath

Amelia, nice mix of workouts yesterday! Great job. And it's always a wise idea to save room for wine ;)

Cookie, nice job fitting a workout in despite the fried brain  Hopefully you can relax today!

Deb, isn't X10 tough?! I was honestly surprised at how hard it is. Are there any power yoga DVDs you would recommend?

Belinda, I always forget about youtube! That is a great idea! Aww you and your husband are so cute. I love real life love stories :D Enjoy your stretch today!

Waving hello to Lori & Kristin!

Good Morning Ladies :)

DS2 and I are just hanging out in the bed :). DH went to work at 6, I don't even remember him getting up.

Yesterday's workout was LBB standing work and I went heavy, then 25 mins on the TM and 15 on the spin bike. We went sledding in the afternoon and that was a workout in itself! Claiming that hill with ds2 in tow. Sometimes he would walk it, which took forever. Then other times I had to carry him or pull him. So I'm sot sure what part of the day made my legs sore but they are. Today I think I'm gonna do burn sets, going as heavy as I can and I think the warrior maybe. Or cvx.

Melissa** so what's the scoop on your brother these days and what are your parents saying? Are they warming up to the baby business? You will probably be sure after those workouts if you haven't lifted in a while! Now you have me thinking about kickboxing.

Deb** I laughed out loud when I read your comment about me doing x10 all at once. I don't think I've actually done that. Lol Those workouts are tough.

Ameila** nice workout!!

Cookie** my brain would be fried too. I don't have much of an attention span! And then I wonder why it's so hard for DS to just concentrate!

Belinda** what week of p90x are we in? I'm almost done week 3. Looking forward to week 4. Some different workouts!

I'm not sure what I will do with the boys today. It's suppose to be nice again but the baby is smothered in a head cold and has a pretty nasty cough. Hope it's nothing but a cold! DH is taking the full week off though so if he's sick then he can take him to the dr...lol

I will come back later and report my workout!!!

Lori :)
