colon cleanse?

Ummmm yes I jogged 3 miles three times a week and. Still had the problem.. I run only once a week now due to platar facsitis.
With that being said its about health... and I am a lady as well .. I'm not afraid to admit I have a problem but that makes me no less a lady. Thanks

for crying out loud did you not see the laughing smiley?...it was a joke. And no offense was meant.

Like Natty said, I'm no nutritionist but I can tell you my own experience. Like others said, it's likely certain foods that are causing this horrible experience for you. I say horrible...for me when I have problems it's downright painful! :( So for me, I finally figured out two BIG culprits:

1. Soy. I scan ingredients lists before I buy anything to make sure it doesn't have soy protein isolate. I stay away from soy milk and tofu, too just to be safe. Major major stomach upset and gas from soy protein isolate.

2. Dairy! I LOVE dairy so much! So when I recently discovered that I was becoming more and more lactose intolerant to the point of severe pain after ingesting dairy, I had a period of mourning. Once I eliminated dairy, my stomach never felt better. I reaffirmed this last night...I tried to eat some cheese...I was miserable and tooty all last night .

I'm still in the process of figuring out any digestive problems I may have, but these are the two biggies. Like others said, some people have gluten intolerance, maybe not full blown celiac, but just bad enough to make you miserable. Eating quickly, not chewing your food completely before swallowing (when you don't chew completely, the food particles can be too big for you stomach to break down and this can cause problem with digestion and gas, too), and a sudden increase in fiber can also cause issues. I am terribly guilty of eating too fast! Comes with having 5 sibilings, I guess. ;) Others mentioned probiotics, that's always a good idea, too. Hope you feel better soon!!! :)

Well ii have to say..I do eat fast... I mean I went threw basic training 5 yrs ago and we had to eat fast. So I did notice for a out 4 yrs now I had the problem. Ill start slowing down and see if that helps as well. And probiotics. Yes it is painful to.
So I gather noone is into the colon cleanses. ...I was wanting too know because my coworker swears by them. She said her aunt started finally losing weight after she cleansed, was curious if she was right.. I appriciate all oof you guys comments a lot. Thanks so much.

Sorry I didn't see smily. Didn't mean to be rude if I was. Thanks for your comment though. But really when I jogged it did help some. Not much. Plus it is embarrassing so I was a little defensive maybe? Accept my appology? I'm not a grouch usually. Lol

I have/had these exact same issues, if you haven't had a colonoscopy you should definitely get one. I had a pre-cancerous polyp that was found and removed, and saved me from developing colon cancer. My GI issues were still there so my Dr. had me try a wheat free diet which was miraculous for my stomach pains, constipation/diarrhea and gas pains. I still have trouble at times but that is because I use light cream in my coffee. You should try to go totally wheat and dairy free and see if this helps. The other food that is a problem for me are nuts of any kind, gives me terrible gas. You need to read every label if you go gluten free as it is in so many foods that you are not aware of (soy sauce, marinades etc..) Try this for about a month and see if your problems go away. You can slowly re-introduce these foods if you want later but I would do that slowly and one at a time.
Hope this helps.

Hello Renee,

I just have to include my thoughts on this. It's so refreshing to know that I'm not the only person that get gas no matter what I eat. Lately it's been lettuce, and how much I enjoy a salad. Although I taking an acidophilus with pectin pill each morning and trying to take a walk after lunch has helped, two Triphala pills has helped considerably with the gas and making me regular, going everyday with no strain or push. It's an Ayurvedic herb that cleanses the gastro-intestinal tract and is high in vita c. It does not give you the runs which is great. You go the way nature intended you to go. I take two in the A.M. after breakfast, although you don't need to eat to take them, and two in the P.M everyday. Now I notice that I cannot take them close to bed time as they tend to make me urinate a little more than if I don't take them.

I can't see living without them. I've always been irregular even as a child. I too could go for days without going and I drank plenty of water and did plenty of exercising. Now I feel normal. I order mine from Amazon, Organic India Triphala, 90 count.

Give it a try. It's only $11 for a bottle of 90 pills. Let me know what you think.

Thankyou! Is this a type of probiotic?? And u arnt having any side effects from it? Id love to try. Plus I'm addicted to Amazon lol

I'm too addicted amazon. Before I purchase anything I first check amazon. I have no side affects. It's all natural. There's no cramping or bubbling of the stomach. Now it's not a miracle pill. Meaning if I eat something greasy that will still upset my stomach. Google it and read more about the three types of fruit that its made of.
