Back to work today for me. I was really grateful for the day off yesterday. That extra long workout made me more tired than usual, and all that scrapping at the dentist gave me a killer headache. I came home at mid-day and took a great nap!

This morning I am tired and sore, but not to bad. Nothing a hot shower and some ibuprofen won't fix. Lower Intensity Step and shoulders/calves/core on the agenda for today!

My eating has got to be on point today! Absolutely NO crap today! Here's the plan...

B strawberry protein shake
S half sandwich
L leftover cilantro-lime chicken and corn
S apple slices or banana, string cheese
D lean hamburger steak w/grilled onions, green beans
 
REST DAY REST DAY REST DAY!!!!!!

My body is T.I.R.E.D. I've never been so grateful for a rest day.

b - huge apple
s - energy bar
l - salad of some kind
s - ???
d - chicken & veggies
NO ICE CREAM (I had a few bites last night)
NO WORKOUT!!!!!

My w/o today was Mindy's circuit with body bar.I'm getting better with that w/o.

b-kashi or oatmeal
s-nuts and yogurt
l-chicken panini
d-grilled chicken breast with veggies
s-popcorn

Drink, drink, drink water.You know I was thinking that I can make my own panini at work with chicken, peppers, lowfat cheese, spinach and toast. We have a toaster at work.I know that it will be a lot cheaper than buying Lean Cuisines and a lot less sodium.

Workout done and WHEW I am tired and SORE. My shoulders were already some from all that punching yesterday, so I was STRUGGLING to do overhead press with 8 lb dumbbells --YIKES.

Never again will I trust DF to make the protein shake -- it is NOT GOOD. He knows it, too!

I ran out of time for core this morning so I will hit that later today.
 
Good Morning!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. All 3 of my kids had dentist appts. I had a meeting at work and then church school, dance lessons, yada, yada. I did the cardio blast(?) premix combining LIS & HIS yesterday afternoon in between everything. I did Amy's dome (bosu) total body w/o in the am. It was pretty good, something I'll use as an add on to another workout. The rotation called for ASCII which I don't have yet, so I subbed Cathe's step. I'm not sure if I'm going to follow Amy's rotation. I made up a rotation until the new year similar to P90X using Amy's,Cathe's,Tracey's and a few others which I might follow instead. I really love yoga in the rotation and the scheduled recovery week. I plan on using my functional fitness workouts for the recovery week. It also allows me to use a wide variety of my workouts.

Katie, i hear you about the sabatoge, i do so well during the week, then on the weekend i go crazy. Clearly i'm too strict during the week, but habits are so hard to change.
kate, enjoy your rest day, sounds like its needed.
Robin, panini sounds great! I bring my own food everywhere, and its so much cheaper.
Shirl, which rotation are you following?

Today, i have the chiropractor, so i'm going to attempt the new kickbox and legs tonight, add some abs in there. I push it on the days i see him, i find my back looser. I did MIS last night!! Quite proud, especially after such a serious back injury.

Menu:
B: oatmeal, pro powder, hemp pro, almond milk
s: Quark, yummy! My new thing
L: soup, raw veggies and hummus, apple
s: almond butter and wasa bread
d: egg white with garlic and chives, ezekial bread, big salad, hemp dressing, strawberries and yogurt
s: usually kamut puffs and almond milk.

Robin - I don't remember how we make Arroz con pollo. My husband ordered pizza instead. Will let you know when we make it tomorrow night.
Shirl - I did Amy's back on Monday and tomorrow I will do Chest, Bi's and Tri's. I am not looking forward to it because I have DOMS from her other Slo-Mo workouts.
Steph - I am glad you are getting better. Maybe in the New Year you can try Amy's Slo-Mo

Hello ladies, I am home for lunch. I am in a foul mood today and very very tired. Early night tonight for me!

Change of plans for lunch -- chicken and vegetable with pasta, yummy!

It is so cold today, which makes me want to eat something bad and too much of it!
 
Robin, i just found quark!! Its like a cream cheese/cottage cheese, but without fat or sodium!! even higher in protein than cottage cheese. I am now obsessed with it!

Katie, did something bad happen at work?

I just had a terrible day. Seems like all of my clients are in crisis. It is very trying to deal with so many clients with problems!

What I really want is a big ice cream sundae with hot fudge and peanut butter to make me feel better, but I am trying to resist!
 
I DID IT AGAIN.

I put a dark chocolate Klondike bar in a bowl, then covered it with melted peanut butter. Omigolly was it good. It actually did make me feel better, why is it that food makes me feel better? Except that now I feel horribly guilty for eating it.

Will I ever be able to resist these things again? Maybe it's a period thing...
