Clean Eating Magazine - Opinions

I'm thinking of getting this and have two questions:

- are the recipes user-friendly and relatively quick to put together?

- is there a good selection of vegetarian meals?

Thanks!

I get it, and I like it. I am drawing a blank right now on vegetarian-friendly recipes. I did make a black-eyed pea stew from one of the issues that was yummy and vegetarian (well, I made it with chicken broth, but it called for vegetable broth, I believe). Check out the web site and see if you like it.

Ooh, I subscribed recently! They do have about seven recipes you can download on their website. They look pretty user friendly to me!

I LOVE this magazine. Although I don't really 'know' specifically if they put some focus on vegetarian recipes, I CAN tell you the recipes are very user friendly! I've made a BUNCH of recipes from the mag over the last year and LOVE them, and have been able to tweak and make modifications for those that might not be 100% to my liking (which is rare).

I just received my first copy and I have to say I was disappointed with the lack of vegetarian recipes. I believe there was only one...so far I'm not too impressed with this magazine. On the other hand I also just recentely subscribed to Oxygen and I like that one a lot.

I go back and forth on this. I like the magazine and it inspires me. But I have to tweak almost everything. There was a recipe in the most recent issue for a raw vegan non-bean hummus like dip. But that's rare. Hopefully there will be more in the future. I've yet to subscribe because of this. But I still buy almost every issue :p

Now in the back of the issue is the guide to all the recipes. It use to be in the front. It shows what recipes are freezable, vegetarian, less than 45 minutes to make and I think gluten free. You could check that out before you purchase.

I bought one issue but wasn't all that impressed with it and I never picked up another one. Have you ever checked out Vegetarian Times? It's a beautiful magazine with lots of user friendly recipes. I don't know if it has many vegan recipes, though. http://www.vegetariantimes.com/

I love this magazine!!! So many great recipes and it takes the guesswork out of eating clean which is an adjustment for my family.

I like the magazine to spark some creative recipes of my own. Some of the recipes use items I don't like or the recipe has too many ingredients for me. So, I take the basic idea (like the zucchini lasagna recipe) and make my own version. I do think that some of the recipes aren't as clean as I would like, or have just too many calories or carbs. I've found that I've only made two recipes as is from the magazine.

I like Vegetarian Times and Eating Well which often offers veg recipes.
Oh yeah, Eating Well is a great resource for healthy recipes with several vegetarian options! I don't buy the magazine very often because I have too many publications coming into the house now, but I use the website a lot!

I love Clean Eating Magazine! I've subscribed since the first issue and have loved every recipe I've made! :)

VegNews has vegan recipes (though not as many recipes as Veg Times, which has become pretty much a recipe magazine).

Love Clean Eating.

The chocolate cupcake recipe featured in the issue before this latest one, cupcakes were on the cover, was awesome!!!

DD and I have made them about 10 times. :D
I've been wanting to make another batch for 2 weeks but haven't found the time.
We've just about got the recipe memorized.

I've made a few other things from the magazine and like them all.
