Chinese Gender Chart

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow with my first child. I'm sure you all know how it is with your first, you read everything about pregnancy you can get your hands on. Well, I've run across the Chinese Gender Chart and it has been right for everyone I have checked it for. Marci, your post on picking gender made me think that if it has been right for all of your other children, you could try on the months it said you would conceive a girl. Just a thought. Don't get me wrong, I don't put my faith in astrology or new agey-type things. All I want to know is if anyone has looked at it, and has it been right for you? Just curious!

First congrats on your pregnancy!!

I have seen this chart in my reasearch and it only was correct for one of my 3 kids LOL! My first boy should have been a girl and my girl should have been a boy according to the chart. My third was right. You would think it would have a 50% chance of being right but for me its less than 50% correct :)

Besides, your baby's gender is already set. I hope you are feeling good. Its so exciting becoming a parent. I was excited when all my kids were born but there is something just so amazing the first time you experience it all.

Marci, You're the first person I know who it wasn't right for. I was beginning to get creeped out by how right it was. Oh well, it was an idea.

If any one hasn't seen it, I found it at www.parentsplace.com. Click on the "Chinese Gender Chart" link on the left side.

It is right for what they tell me I am going to have (a girl), based on my sonogram. But of course, this isn't 100% confirmed or anything. Gina

It was wrong for me (I should have been a boy) and wrong for my daughter (who also should have been a boy). However, my friend who gave it to me said that it was right for 9 out of 10 people she checked with!

It was wrong for me too. I had a girl. Chinese thing said she should have been a boy, but then again, so did the sonogram. That's why her name is Logan :)

It was wrong for me too my first pregnancy! It says I'll have a boy this time. That would make my hubby very happy!

It was right with my first three, but according to the u/s I had done at 18 weeks, it is wrong with this pregnancy.

Baby #4 - due April 23rd.
It's a boy!!!

The way I look at it is that it has a 50/50 chance of being right ;)

My friend told me off the chart last time that I'd have a and its a boy. Not sure what it would have said with my other 5.

It was wrong for all 3 of my children - Oh well ! I had Girl, Boy, Girl, and it predicted I was to have Boy, Girl, Boy ! LOL

I looked at this chart a long time ago. It was correct for both my kids, my mom's 9 kids, and my mother-in-law's 5 kids!

If anyone says it's not correct, you have to remember, your age at conception isn't necessarily the same as your age at the baby's birth, or even the same age at your LMP (conception is approximately 2 weeks after LMP). Some of the charts are also configured by your lunar age (adding 9 months to your actual age), so they may seem incorrect when they're not.

I wonder if it makes a difference if you baby was conceived on your birthday, or on the first or last day of the month? Ya think?

RE: Interesting ... can anyone check for me?

Now I am wondering if I did it right. Does anybody have this chart available and could check for me? I would be curious to see if I misinterpreted it. I'll give plain old dates so that I don't inject any guesswork.

Me: born July 1, 1961, two weeks early according to my mom. My mother was born May 16, 1931, so she was 29 at the time she conceived me.

My daughter: born August 14, 2002 at 39 1/2 weeks' gestation. I was 40 at the time I conceived her in late November 2001.
