Chilly Melters! Thursday

Mmmmm!!! Blueberry buckle, peach cobbler, chocolate chip cookies and SOMEONE FELL UNDER A TRAIN!?!?!?!? OK Shelley, we need to hear that story please.

I'm home from my haircut and color and waiting for Mr DH to finish up his gormet spaghetti sauce. It smells so good.

Leanne, go back to the stylist. You don't have to live with a crappy style.

BG, yikes! That accident sounds painful. And, might I guess, embarrassing?

Figbug, glad to hear you are feelling a tad better.

Crazy, I have a $50 gift card from last Christmas that I have been clinging to. I haven't looked at Cathe's stuff yet, but want some weighed gloves....

I am off the boat...I have slept and eaten (egg white veggie omlette how do you spell that word anyway?) wheat toast, coffee and oh yeah, pretzels-whoe grain of course but geez, carb-fest city today! No workouts either, I wore myself out the past week, I slept for two hours! I never do that. Lainie, I almost felt guilty it was me and not you dear chica, you certainly need more rest than I do!

OK. Shelley, the train story pleeezzzee. WTH?? Is Sophie afraid of trains now? ;)

Robin, a bucket of pee?? Yummers. And wow, how fascinating, what are we searching for? Drugs?Bacteria of some sort?:D

Leanne, oh boy, what did I get myself into?? I need to find a good stylist here too...hum....wonder if I can stop someone on the street with really great hair and ask where they get it done? At the least, go back and ask the stylist to cut the other side of your hair to so they match. Lots of gel works, did you sort "mess it up" I bet it looks sexy and cute! What does Mike think??Oh, and I took a week to celebrate my own b-day, meaning, I ate whatever I wanted and yeah, it was quite the celebration.;)

Shannon, your special cookie made me smile. When I used to go into the office, I always baked birthday cakes and decorated them for birthdays, I love doing that. I bake a mean chocolate fudge bundt cake.;)

Alli, now I have to go check out Cathe's new gear...did I hear there were pink boxing gloves?? I hate kickboxing anymore...I used to love it until my hip operation, now I kick all crazy like and look ridiculous doing it.

OK, now I am totally bawling. I am watching that stupid inane show the Kardashians, they had a spot on there dad who died from cancer, they were showing old home movies when they were little with their dad, and for some reason it just touched me....wow, I am such a whaa-whaaa...anytime I see someone cry, well, there I go to. I totally feel what others feel, its a curse and a gift at the same time I think. *sniffs*

Moving on....I should probably watch the Fox News or the Food Network instead huh?;)

My apologies for the typo's and stuff...you would think I could spell, being a writer and all...

Kara darling, nice to see you checking in today, although your perusing that web site made me go....*yawns*...:)

Leanne - on AOS Santa Monica, the ropes is a separate DVD. It comes with two DVDs. One regular and one with the ropes. That 's the way I took it when I read the pre-sale stuff.

Kara - How much are the ropes? That would be so cool.

Hey everyone else.

My KBs came today. Leanne, I ordered the 35 pound and the handle is not as wide as my 25 pounder I got from Scheels. the 25 is coated in red vinyl and the handle is at least a couple inches, if not 3 or 4 wider than this new 45 pounder. I would really like those tie-dye looking ones that Anthony has though. Those are way cool.

Well we are off to soccer practice.

BBL - maybe

Forgot to tell Lainie. In Lauren's DVD, the production value you were talking about. Pretty much all of them are like that, including AOS ones too. I think that is just the way they make them. Simple.

Aaaaah, the train story. Well, I was 7 months pregnant and commuting to Toronto to work, via GO train, which is a kind of commuter train system. We pulled into the big station in Toronto and I was walking down the platform with my friend. Now this is what the trains look like (yes, they're double-decker):

And the platform in the stations kind of slopes down underneath the sides. Anyway, I was walking along and somehow my foot slipped and I went down like a ton of bricks, and my whole self went right down between the edge of the platform and the train that was sitting there. Two men saw me go down and came over and grabbed my arms and pulled me out, just as the train started moving. As I had been right under, there would have been no way for the conductor guy who watches out of the train to see me, so I would have been squooshed. My friend took me to the bathroom and I seemed to be okay. As soon as I got into work, I just broke down and started bawling. I had to go to the hospital for a fetal stress test, to make sure Sophie was okay. Under my clothes, I was one big scrape from my chest right down to my knees and bruised like crazy, and the next day my knee siezed right up (did I mention I slid under the train head first?). It was quite the fun time!

I did Mr. Sand Dunes tonight. I love that workout.

Hey hey to everyone!

Actually Robin, I wasn't embarrassed! It's not like I tripped and fell or anything. It was an accident - the poor driver felt so bad - but there was nothing he could do. I could have stayed in my seat of course. But we all walk around the van all the time - it's big enough. People at work today were texting and calling about my "fall" and I simply corrected them and told them it was more of a "flight" than a "fall." I kinda wish we had it recorded, because I bet it was pretty impressive.

Shelley - that is the scariest thing EVER. I'm so glad that you had folks there to save you and your sweet baby! OMG.

Ok all, I'm out.

Hey all!

Thought I'd pop in for one more quick check-in. DH is outside with the Culligan Man -- who was supposed to be here between 12:00-4:00, and instead showed up at 4:45! UG! Our water softener has been beeping for almost two weeks, but they never showed up for the appt. we made when we first called.

Shells -- OMG! That story is soooo scary!! Thank God you and Sophie were alright! I have the chills just reading about what happened to you! We have Mr. Sand Dune lined up for Sunday . . . if I can wake Mike's lazy arse up that early!

Peggers -- Thanks for the info about the KB handle! Mike wants to get a 40# one, but we want to make sure that the handle will be wide enough for him. A customer service gal from Perform Better was supposed to email me back, but she never did. How has work been going? On the prowl for any more . . . SEMEN?! :p Oh, I think that I will have to splurge on AOS SM if the ropes are on a separate DVD! I know -- those tie-dye KB's are sooooo cool-looking! Are you getting all geared up for Tayler's b-day tomorrow? Have fun at soccer tonight!

Kara -- Yoo hoo! So tell Peggie and me more about those ropes, sweetie . . . ;)

Tneah -- I actually found the stylist who cut my hair short last time by asking someone with a super cute 'do! Sounds like you needed the nap, babe! How is AF treating you? Hope you're feeling OK with those wicked cramps!

Breckie -- Are you feeling any better, sweetie, with all those bumps and bruises? Perhaps a nice, long soak in the tub will make you feel better!

Robin -- Yuummmmmy! That sauce sounds delicious! I may call the hairdresser again if the one side keeps bugging me. How are DH and DD doing with their first week back? Are they tired?

Love to all my Melty Gals! Hope you're all having cookie-filled evenings! Smooches!

Leanne - when I put the KBs one in front of the other, the red one is a lot wider than the perform better one. On the perform better one the handle goes more up on the side and around. The red one goes more out and around.
