Good Morning.
Thanks for the good vibes for tmrw
Karen and
Wendi.
Must shoot 'em right back at ya for today,
Karen!
GO CHEETAH GO!!!
I know you won't be reading this until the race is over but I'll say it anyway BE CAREFUL if it IS indeed a bit warm/humid out. You are gonna do great though! Can't wait to hear about it later on!
Wendi: Sorry you've had to sit in front of the computer for work and not Cheetah time. That's got to be the worst! What a tease!
So didja sign up for Philly yet? I've decided against it. I am thinking of doing a local event the weekend after instead. It's a 15k that I did last year and I really enjoyed it. We WILL find a race to do together though!
I don't know if you were around to read about it but for a brief second I actually considered entering the FULL marathon at Philly!
Thankfully Carole talked some sense into me.
I'm pretty confident I could've gotten through it using the run/walk method but she was right in that I am simply not properly trained for a full yet. If I had a little more time then it may have been an option.
Linda: I think doing the 23 miles THIS weekend is a better option then waiting and doing it too close to the marathon. It's also a better idea then not doing it all. I would say that as long as you feel fully recovered from last week's run that back to back long run's one time would not be a big deal. Just take slow, smart and safe, ofcourse.
Ofcourse, this is all coming from someone who hasn't even BEGUN her full mary training yet so take or leave my advice as you see fit!
Christine: You probably won't read this until you get back but have a safe trip and have a blast! Thomasina checked in late last night that she'd finally met up with Cathy. You girls are gonna have so much fun together. I'm soooo incredibly jealous but this race is important to me. I just couldn't give it up. We will HAVE to find another reason to get as many of us together as we can over the next year!!!!
Hopefully this is not TMI for anyone but I'm gonna post it anyway.
I'm a leetle pist right now but also relieved. Ya see, my last monthly was in September. About 2 weeks before it was due again in October I started feeling nauseaus. No throwing up or anything. Just waves of nausea. Ofcourse I thought perhaps I was pg. I took a tests a few days before I was due (you can do that now-very cool!) and one once I was late and they both came up negative. Still nauseaus but it was waning. Finally the nausea went away entirely but flow was still no where to be found. Last week I took one final test, STILL negative. This morning I got up to find that it had FINALLY arrived along with some wonderful cramps. I am relieved that it is finally here but dagnamit now I have to deal with it tmrw!...
GRRRRRR!
I still want to take
Centergy today provided the cramps aren't bad. Has anyone ever heard that it's no good to do inverted yoga poses during that time of the month? Do you believe it? I've never listened to it. Should I??? I wouldn't bother taking the class if I couldn't do the inverted poses as there are lots of downward dogs in it.
I gues that's all for now. Time to fill that coffee cup back up!!!!
SAFE TRAVEL VIBES FOR CHRISTINE AND CAROLE TODAY!!!!!!!!!
