Good morning, cheetahs :)

Just getting this baby started. Not sure what I'm planning after school today. Maybe BC if I'm really feeling ambitious, otherwise just a weight workout of some kind. Everyone I know is sick (incl. many of my students), and I have been flirting with this bug myself. I *DON'T* want to be sick right now, so I'm doing my best to fight it off, but energy's a little low right now.

I'm sorry I couldn't check back in last night. I acually couldn't get to the gym last night and did S&H biceps and triceps instead KPC abs, C&W abs, sjp abs, and GS biceps. Then homeworkmax. I'll defianley read lasts nights post tonight. I'm not going to school tomorrow. Need to help my mom cuz we have to be outa here by saturday and we have A LOT of sh!t}(

I have to work this morning but then it's Jari's Ripped (yes, her EASY one...my muscles need a break!:p ) and then tonight it's running class so today will be an EASY day. ;)

Today I am doing S&H shoulder's, bi's and tri's, abs and a 5 mile run.

Cathy - sure hope you don't get sick! My oldest daughter has been sick for a couple of weeks and I am holding my breath, hoping I don't get it. Have fun with BC (or weights)!

Adri - Good luck moving! That is a job!

Wendy - Where do you find a running class? Is it at a college or fitness center? I sure wish I could find a running class around here, or at least a "coach"!

This morning I did 5 miles on the treadmill, floorwork, lower body machine and 75 walking lunges. I would LOOOVE to be able to get outside to run before work, instead of having to use the treadmill!

Hi Carole! We must have been posting around the same time! Are you able to do most of your runs outside, or do you use the treadmill?

Hi Linda...yes, where I live in Calif the weather doe not get real severe so I run outside all year. I don't have a treadmill, but I do crosstrain with an Elliptical twice a week...:)
 
Run by checkin from a busy Cheetah! Heading w/ Allison to go visit my Grandma for the day. I haven't heard from my Mom yet, so I'm hoping my Aunt's flight made it in ok last night.

I'll try to fit in some yoga/ pilates later today! Legs are feeling better, I'm sure that massage helped!! I took a quick bike w/ the girls last night & it didn't seem to bother my knee so I'm planning a bike ride w/ Erin & Melissa tomorrow morning!

Good Morning all!

Energy is back, and I’m raring to go! My morning is a bit broken up as I have to drop off DD13 to school asDD17 has to go earlier, so I’m going to wake her up at 7:30, go for a 5 mile run, then take her to school and see if I can lift. I’m not going to push it though. If lifting hurts, I won’t do it.

Cathy – *sending healthy vibes* Hope you don’t get sick!! Listen to your body and eat really, really well. Take some zinc – it helps me!

Adri – Hope the move goes well!! You worry about moving yourself, don’t worry about us. Are you excited about the new place?

Wendy – you crack me up, girl! Your running class is easy?! Good for you!

Carole – enjoy your run. I was looking at ellipticals, and the Nordic Track got the Consumer Report’s Best Buy award. I’m definitely getting one of them – how much space do you really save when you fold it up? DH is worried about more things that move and can break… Enjoy your run!

Linda – I’m sorry you can’t run outside before work. Work so gets in the way, doesn’t it?! I’ve been enjoying a few months off, but now it’s back to work soon. I know my fitness center offers a running course. I think some of the community colleges do as well. Look one line for local adult continuing education classes. I’ve taken some fun things!

Jess – Glad to hear the legs are feeling better! Biking actually helps me when my knee is bothering me – you get the movement without as much impact or pressure. I use it a lot when I’m injured. So, when is your next marathon? :p

A quick check-in before I take my girls to school. I am going to run 5 miles outside with my hubby and then we are going to lunch together. I thought I would be sore from legs and glutes and running yesterday, but I am not...hm I did stretch a lot though.

I will do personals later.

Hello ladies,

Although i have yet to feel like a cheetah i've decided to join your check-in after alot of pushing from Wendy (lol). I just signed up for my first race a 5k. I am not naturally a runner but i do run on the treadmill, so i decided to give it a try.

I have read alot of your posts and you ladies are so inspirational and movitating. I know i will learn alot from you all:) I do not know alot about running so i know i will pester you with alot of newbie questions...;o)

A little about myself, I am a 36 yr old happily married mother of 2 boys.

I look forward to getting to know all of you. ;-)
 
Oh this is priceless... There's a big fat duck standing at the endge of my pool, just standing there minding his own business. On the fence above the pool is a white cat with a collar and ID sitting and staring longingly at the duck. My dogs are sitting my the sliding glass doors staring at both. (I call out sliding doors- STV - or Squirrelvision - both dogs stare out the doors at the squirrels).

I just finished Ripped and MIS ab work. I upped my weights on probably about half of the exercises in Ripped so I'm hoping to have some DOMS come morning! }(

Running class tonight is more interval work. I enjoyed it last time so I'm looking forward to it!}(

Quick check-in today. I did a quick 3 mile run on my TM and I will do some strength work later this afternoon at the gym.

Wendy~ like you, I end up doing the 37 min. premix for KPC, but yesterday, I did it and added the abs section.

Hello again,

I had a great workout with my hubby. The time flys by when you run with someone. We ran 5.3 miles and it was very comfortable.

Sounds like some very busy cheetahs today.

This is really odd - I just got a message from my OBGYN - turns out my finger IS broken... I don't see how - I just cooked an entire meal, and I felt fine (no brace or anything). But...
