Just stopping in real quick to say hi and that I've elected to make this a rest day. Thanks for the good vibes...must say, I'm not feeling spectactular. Ate some chicken soup and am OD'ing on OJ. Hope I can beat it. Will try to wake up super early tomorrow and get in a workout then, but for tonight, my body is saying REST!!!

Okay, I know it's very late but the computer chair is actually empty (for a change;-) ) and I want to get back to checking in daily. I've been busier than I like to be at work but it'll quiet down soon enough.

I'm 4 days away from my half and am on day 2 of a yukky coldx( . The inside of my right ankle is slightly swollen and tender. I've been icing a few times a day and having chiro adjustments. All of my long runs are done (ran 10k yesterday), I rest Thursday, Friday, run 3k Saturday and then it's the BIG EVENT!! I'm disappointed that I feel so crappy am praying that the cold doesn't settle into my chest. Come Hell or high water I AM RUNNING THE HALF, it might not be pretty but I've worked so hard this summer and will earn my 'bragger's rights;-) As much as I have enjoyed this training and am pleased with myself for being committed to the plan I am ready to get this DONE and get back to my previous routines with the addition of running 2-3 times/week. I have come to love runs around 8 to 10k but am missing my Kickboxing and other Cathe stuff.

Wendy, belated 'CONGRATS!!' on your 5k, love your new pics!!

I've read today's thread and have missed a lot around here!! I'd better go check out yesterday and see what the heck Christine did to her poor finger.

Cathy, hope you can shake the bug, I'm thinking we need hot toddies:+

I wore my Garmin to class tonight:

30 mins ~ 2.75 miles ~ 10.56 average pace

See Cathy? I'm a slow-poke at heart!:p

We did intervals again and it was fun to see my pace change. We did 3 mins easy, 1 min hard. I held 10.30-11.30 pace for the easy and 9-9:30 for the hard. I even pushed it to about 8.45 a couple of times!}( I can definately tell that my speed is naturally improving slowly but surely. :)

LOL, and do you wanna laugh? I fell at class tonight! ROTFLMAO! We did our warm up run in a wooded area w/lots of tree roots and I unfortunately allowed myself to "zone" too much and immediately tripped and fell! I got dirty and sustained 2 bruises-on on my leg and the other on my ego :p -but other than that I am fine! I brushed myself off and kept on going...hardly missed a beat! LOL :)

Tomorrow I am planning for the elliptical...
