G'morning, cheetahs
Marcia :: I’m really enjoying the X – until this week, I’ve done all the weight workouts faithfully but subbed for some of the other stuff and am still seeing positive changes…again, nothing big happening on the scale, but what I can see in the mirror and feel in my clothes is good!!!…I haven’t read my BFFM cover-to-cover, either…I consult it on an as-needed basis…you’ll find all you need to know on zig-zagging…it really does kick your metabolism into gear!!!…Hope you did well at weigh-in…and WTG on the successful circuit class! It’s always a good feeling to know your students enjoy the class!
Laura :: it was here 81 here in Jersey yesterday, so I know what you mean about the warm temps! Hard to believe I will be skiing (I hope!) on Saturday. Hope the bronchitis clears for you soon!
Heather :: yes, I am a morning person!!…I think I have medium-to-high arches…I don’t use foot powders, but I recently discovered inexpensive socks at Target…They are $3.99 for two pair…The brand is Peds On the Move – they are cushioned, have moisture control, and are low on the ankle. I used to buy Wigwam and other expensive running socks, but I’m hooked on these now.
Shelly :: you’re right – I think I needed the sleep. Did you wind up taking an actual rest day?
Gayle :: I’m not far from you & we went up to 81 (!!) yesterday…Great w/out including the Frisbee toss – sounds like fun. It’s great how active you are with your kids. They are lucky to have a mom like you!…Sure, let me know if you want to get the shirts going, and I will forward the info to you…I don’t have any of the iCycles or iTrains, so I can't help there…re: bis & tris, I am seeing good results from P90 so far…
Kristi :: I say keep the appointment!
Carole :: you never needed to go the Accutane route, right? But I think I remember you saying your niece did…
Jess :: I’m glad the trigger point link seemed to help…I know I run into problems with my calf muscles getting too tight, esp. in that area. Try doing the self-massage with your knee a few times a day. Maybe the foam roller on that spot, too? I use The Stick on my calves and that seems to help. Have fun @ your mom’s!
Jackie :: thanks – it’s reassuring to know that the X would be tough on even a well-rested body! I haven’t done RTTC in a while…maybe I should dust that one off. Enjoy that warm weather you’re having!…I’m watching DWTS, too, but in dribs & drabs. Who was voted off last night? I didn't catch it.
Susan :: good luck @ the chiro today! I’m glad yesterday you were having a better day. Injuries are understandably frustrating, and I am starting to feel equally exasperated about about my current situation, too. I have never had this kind of exhaustion before, and I feel myself becoming obsessed and worrying about it. I just hope my doc will find a solution…I know I can’t go off these meds, but maybe a tweak of the dosage will be possible…fingers crossed!!…As for the perfect eating, uhhhhh… I don’t strive for perfect, but I’m doing reasonably well.
Wendy :: hope the last remnants of your cold disappear so you can get back to your normal intensity!
Linda :: thanks ~ it is a heavy meeting week at work this week, so the long days make for energy-zappers, too. Awesome workout!!
Christine :: sorry to hear about the trainer…and especially sorry to hear about DH’s blaming himself for Tucker’s death…I hope he comes to recognize that there’s only one person responsible – the woman on her cell phone driving that car. I wonder if SHE is racked with guilt!…The interview sounds like it was a bright spot in your day – glad it went well. When will you know?
Judy :: those were such kind words you posted to Susan about our cheetah group. Warm fuzzies!! Where are you headed on your beach vaca?
Yesterday, I played by ear and opted for ANOTHER rest day (2nd day in a row). I went for a nap around 5:30-ish and that was it. I woke up for about 1/2 hour to catch part of DWTS and then I was out cold again. I do feel well-rested this morning and will try to work out in the afternoon. Right after school would be best. Since I'm taking one week off from the X, I don't feel bad trying to play the catch-up game. With skiing this weekend, it would be impossible to get it right. So, this'll actually work out well because I'm off from work the week after Easter, and I'd rather go for a hardcore workout week that week instead of doing the recovery week, which is what I'd have if I kept to the current schedule. Not sure if that makes sense, but anyway, long story short: I'm cool with taking the one-week break.
Yesterday I had my annual eye appointment and have decided to schedule a consultation for lasik surgery. Has anyone had that done?
