Cathlete
Good morning, cheetahs (though it seems as though there hasn't been a whole lot of good happenin' around here lately)...

Christine :: (((HUGS))) I'm sooo sorry about Tucker. :( I was shocked when I went back just now and read your post from last night. How terrible. Did you see it happen??...You & your family will be in my thoughts...

Hang in there, sick and grieving cheetahs! Will be back later to see how everyone's doing.

-Cathy :)

PS...Today is Plyo & Fluidity for me.

Good morning, Cheetahs -

Christine - I am so sorry about Tucker, my thoughts are with you and your family.

Tonight I have class again and I think I'm going to switch it up a bit and do a circuit training instead of just toning. I'll have to see what I can come up with before tonight's class.

Have a great day.
Marcia.

((((((((((((((((CHRISTINE)))))))))))))))))))))

I am sooooooooo sorry!!!! How very very sad for you and your family.

I know what it's like to lose an animal, though not under the circumstances you lost Tucker!

Time will make it easier, hon.

Hang in there.

Good Morning Cheetahs! Sickly Cheetah reporting for duty!:p

Well, I am airborning myself and hoping that it works. I don't feel great but I certainly could feel worse as well. I am hoping to atleast stop this thing from getting worse so that it doesn't develop into something that lands me on my butt so that I can't meet Cathy on Saturday!!!! I'll be pissed!x(

Cathy, I am getting excited! Can't wait to meet a fellow Cheetah. Shall we wear our shirts??? ;)

Marcia, Have fun at your class tonight. Circuit training is a great idea! I'm sure you'll come up with some good stuff for the class. Hang in there on the weight loss girl. Do doubles for a month and see what happens. If it doesn't seem to be working, try something else but don't stop lifting!!!}( Sorry you will not be doing the half in May. I'm sure you'll find one at a better time for you though.

Susan, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, girl! I was out of the loop y'day. Sorry my wish is late!:)

Shelly, You are right! You will sooooo get enabled to go on the RT! You are such an inspiration...you MUST go!}(

Sunny, A Cheetah never misses a meal girl! Make sure you eat!!!! Yes, I'm playing mom!;)

Jackie, The X's SCT is not my fave but it's certainly effective, huh? }( Don't you worry, I can't do 1 arm push ups on my toes either! Heck, I can hardly do 'em on my knees! LOL :p

Carole, Glad you are liking BBC. I'm excited to dive into that post X. Some endurance work is exactly what I need after all of this heavy lifting!

Linda, I don't function well on too little sleep either. Alot of my DH's immediate family are able to function on 1-2 hours literally! His father only gets that much sleep every night! I don't know how he does it but he just CAN'T sleep any more than that! His sisters are pretty bad when it comes to sleeping as well. DH takes after his mom though. LOTS of sleep and out like a light as soon as the head hits the pillow! LOL I am some where in between. I prefer 8-9 hours but can function fine on as little as 6 solid hours. I am not one to fall asleep super fast though. I can't turn my mind off that abruptly. LOL

Gayle, LOL about your friend. I don't blame her though. The germs are ENDLESS in places like that! ICK! LOL I am not a germophobe though and thank goodness! I don't think I'd be willing to work there if I were though....

Kristi, (((HUGS))) Sorry to hear about your aunt. How sad. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Judy, Hang in there. It will get easier.

Well, I am not feeling fantastic this morning but I am still going to try to get a run in right after work today since I didn't do it y'day. I am on the early shift again. I also have shoulders and arm/arx on tap. Feeling the way that I do maybe I shouldn't push it and do both but I really want to get a run in...even if only a short one. What's a cheetah to do?? Grrrr!x(

Okay, I'm off to refill the coffee mug now....

Toodles!

Christine- I am so sorry for the tragic loss of Dear Tucker. Bless you and all you family. We lost our kitty to a speeding car in Sept 04' It is so sad.

Kristi- I am sorry about your Aunt's passing. We miss our loved ones so much. DH says every night how much he misses his buddy, but it had to be this way.

Cathy & Wendy- I hope you have a nice GTG :) Share some pictures here.

This is a busy day, but hopefully I'll get in a some cardio and some UB. I started Slow and heavy one body part per day on Monday, and did not do an UB part yesterday. So today will have to be 2. Probably chest and back. I did manage a KM 50" premix yesterday.

Nina is doing well. She is just eating soft food. I need to go get her smoothie ready.

GTG
{{{{ HUGS}}}} to all of you!

Judy "Likes2bfit"

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

I have to go back and read last night's posts yet, but I think I understand what happened, Christine. And I'm so sorry. Take time and pleasure in the memories.

I only have time for a quick post, sorry! I can say, however, that I am SOOOOOOO excited about the road trip in August! DFiance's Annual Training (for the military) may fall on that weekend, so I'll have to make arrangements with family and friends for my kids....BUT I'M GOING! LOL

This morning was supposed to be a short, easy 3-5 mile run. I decided to change it up so I did Cardio Fusion instead. I think that definitely subs well for a short easy run, right? LOL

Today's plans.....errands this morning, then cleaning this afternoon. Free Rita's Italian Ice after school (for the first day of Spring) and then my weekly Wednesday dinner with my friends. I'm making chicken tacos. YUMMY!

BBL sometime, PROMISE! STAY STRONG!

Gayle

Good morning ladies,

chrisine- big, big (((hugs)) to you and your family. my thoughts are with you.

wendy- hope you feel better soon. i know nothing can keep you down. i am so jealous of when cheetahs get to meet. on a good note, one of my clients works out at home using cathe all the time. she's not (yet) on the website.

cathy- enjoy your workout today if you are able to squeeze it in. hopefully you too will feel better soon.

gayle- enjoy your evening out with the ladies;)

judy- glad to hear nina is doing so well. such a nice mommy you are.

marcia-have fun with your class tonight.

today's workout is 35 mins on EXT (done) and p90x B&B (just love that one).

ttyl...:)

Good morning cheetahs

My thoughts, prayers and hugs to Christine..I am so sorry.

Cathy...good job with P90X SCT & ARX yesterday. Have fun with PlyoX and Fluidity.

Marcia...a circuit sounds like a good change!

Wendy..sorry about your being sick. I hope the Airborne helps. Hopefully you will feel good enough to meet up with Cathy!!! Sounds fun for you both..I think you will like BBC after P90X.

Judy...Glad you are getting in some workouts. I do like S&H and will do that one again after BBC I think.

Sunny...I like P90X B&B too! have a good workout.

Jackie...I am definitely feeling the BBC workouts. I think the abs are fun but take some time to get right. The cardio moves on the step seem a bit much like you said. And aren't they using like 12 inches? I use a 10 inch one for the BBC workouts. Those 2 push-ups are really hard in that P90X workout. Had you done ARX before?

Susan...http://bestsmileys.com/birthday1/16.gif[/img] a bit belated. Sorry about your DD's ankle. I hope she heals up quickly. I am hoping to go on the Road Trip, hopefully some of us Cheetahs can stay together!

Kristi...WOW! A marathon in your future maybe?...:)...I remember when my sister talked me into my 1st one, I dragged her to like the next 7 or 8 with me! Freestyle can take up alot of time, which is why alot of people didn't stick with it. But most that did got good results. I can't wait to see how you do in the upcoming HM.

Christine...it does sound like you got in a Shelly style workout yesterday! You will be in my thoughts today, and for some time.

Gayle...a group run at the Road trip would be so fun! Good job with Cardio Fusion.

Shelly...I think doing PLB standing, even with lighter weights might have aggravated my glute a bit. I have been using the foam roller everyday and I will avoid that workout for a bit. Would be great to meet up with you at the Road trip.

I am doing BBC Shoulders and back today. I enjoyed Nadia and the leg workout yesterday. I will also add on an iClimb workout on my EXT and GS floor legs.

Have a good day

Thanks Ladies! I can feel your love and I do so appreciate it. Fortunately, I didn't see it happen, but I did hear it. I will never forget that sound. I'm working from home today - I have to get Sir Tuckerboo ready for burial. Poor guy. DH threw the ball and will never ever forgive himself for it. He's inconsolable right now.

I'm going to try to do something for a workout after the girls go to school (12:45 today due to some testing the sophmores have, but at least they can say good bye to Tucker). He's in my workout room (the garage) right now, and I'm afraid I would just cry through any workout. I can't believe he's gone.

Sorry this is such a self centric post. I'll try to be back later.

Christine- I saw your post on the open forum and just welled up with tears. I am so sorry that this happened! I will miss hearing about Tucker joining you on your runs, just picturing you running up the mountain with Tucker made me want to get a dog to run with too:)

Enormous {{{HUGS}}},

Good morning everyone!

Susan - Giving the Cathe trip some thought. Already have 3 trips planned this year in Sept., Oct. and Nov.

Jess - Glad you're feeling better.

Shelly - I'm right there with you on the checkbook. Wants to know if I can give it a breather. LOL!!

Marcia - Sorry you have to put off the HM. Sounds like you have some good plans.

Cathy - How do you like the 10 minute Solutions KB?

Christine - That's horrible about Tucker. I'm so sorry to hear it. I know it's like losing a member of the family. Will keep your family in prayer.

Wendy - Hope you feel better. Yeah, I'll have to set a goal of doing two of those darn one armed push ups. Tony made it look so easy.

Judy - Glad Nina is doing ok. Enjoy your workout.

Gayle - Don't think I've done Cardio Fusion but once. Must get around to it again. Sounds like a busy day for you.

Sunny - Bet that made you feel good to know your client uses Cathe at home. You probably work them out just as hard! LOL!!! Nice workout today!

Carole - I think they're using 12" in BBC. It's one older lady in one of the workouts that takes it slow and easy and I like seeing that. I've done ARX before. It's a piece of cake now. It definitely helped to strengthen my core along with Cathe. Glad to hear you're enjoying the workouts. I think they're nice for a change of pace.

I did a 6 mile tempo run this morning and Stretch Max #1. The tempo runs are by far the hardest for me but I survived. I did 6.2 miles in 60 minutes including warm up and cool down. That let's me know that I can handle a 10K. Hoping to participate in one before July. I think I found one on April 7 but I need to get more info.

Happy Hump Day ladies! Enjoy your day!

Jackie

Christine- Wow, it was like a punch in the stomach when I read your post this morning! I have no children so my pets are very precious to me and I know how much your wonderful Tuckertoo meant to you!!
Big hugs to you sweet Christine!!!

A wonderful dog like Tucker has surely warranted a special place in doggy heaven. I can picture him up there now, cavorting on a hillside covered with flowers, running happily on a trail waiting for his beloved Christine to join him (which wont be for a LONG time) but he is tremendously happy in the meantime.

I hope your DH doesn't suffer too much from this either!!! But your loving and understanding is the best healling for that!

Much loving thoughts and prayers for you always!

ShellyC

Christine - Oh my .....I am so, so, sorry about Tucker. I wish there was something I could do or say, but you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Cathy - I am glad you are on the road to recovery! I hope you and Wendy have a great get-together!

Marcia - Enjoy your class! A circuit would be fun!

Jackie - Great job on the run! Yes, you can DEFINITELY handle a 10k! I did like the HHA Cardio (Level 2) but I felt sooo uncoordinated and I should have done Level 1 first, so I would know exactly what he was doing with his abs ;)

Carole - Good job on the BBC! I still have not done the non-treadmill cardio from them. Hope you like Back and Shoulders! I like that one...I also like the TM portion of his, but for me it is tough! On Nadia's leg workout, it kind of bothered my hip/leg to do the warmup on that high of a step (going that fast). It really did mess with my hip ;( Next time, I am lowering the step height for that move!

Sunny - Good workout! Do you have clients to train today, too?

Wendy - I sure do wish I could meet some Cheetahs! HOpe you guys have a great meeting! My DH can fall asleep in 30 seconds! No kidding, either! It takes me 30 minutes to an hour x( Take care of yourself!

Judy - Glad Nina is doing better! When doing your 1 body part per day...are you using just S&H for the strength work? I would like to try 1 per day....but never knew if people used a combination of workouts per day....or i.e. just S&H....Or just CTX....etc.

Gayle - I agree Cardio Fusion would be a great sub for a short run! I am so jealous! I want to go on the road trip soooo bad! But my Turbo Jam fanatic daughter already talked me into going on the Turbo Kick Camp the first week in August and it is already paid for and done :( My friend and I are going to the IDEA conference in July....so I know my DH will not let me do another one :( And Cathe's is the one that I Really, really want to do!!

Jess - Hi!!! Hope you are doing good!

This morning I did GS Legs and HHA Cardio and abs from Vol. I. I agree with Jackie on HHA...it is good for a light day...except I felt soooo uncoordinated!

Hi to everyone and hope everyone has a great day!

It's Springs!

Linda

Good morning to the fabulous cheetahs! I finished off yesterday with a 45 minute EXT workout, that really did me in! But I slept well and am ready to take on the day again :7 I'm going to be trying out a 10k race prep I got from runnersworld today. After a warm up it goes like this: 1/2mile at race pace(RP) minus 20 sec.
then jog/recover 3 min. 1/2 mile RP-10 sec, jog 3 min. 2 miles at RP
jog 3 min, 1/2 mile RP - 10 sec, jog 3 min, 1/2 mile RP-20sec, recover. Sounds challenging and fun!! I think I'll go for some
kickboxing later, not sure yet.

Christine- Please see note above.... {{{{HUGS}}}}}

Marcia- I love circuit workouts myself and I think incorporating them regularly helps "shake things up" and aids in weight loss (IMHO)
It's so frustrating to be stuck in a plateau in regards to weight loss but anything you can do to change things up usually helps.
I think your plan to stick with shorter races and work up to a HM in October is a sound one.

Wendy- sorry your feeling under the weather:( I've given the RT some serious thought and I've pretty much decided to go for it!!! If you keep your run very easy today I don't think you'll be overdoing it and hurting anything. In fact, I think it'll make you feel better!

Cathy- You and Wendy have got to post some pics of your GTG!!! Glad you're feeling better now! Doing a workout today?

Gayle- I'd say that CF definitely subs for a 3-5 mile run!!! I am so looking forward to meeting you on the RT :7

Judy- Glad your DDs oral surgery went well! Have a great S&H day!

SunnyD- Since you mentioned a client using Cathe I was wondering about that in regards to your PT sessions. Do you bring up Cathe workouts? Like if a client asks for recommendations for workouts at home?

Carole- Sounds like you have a mega leg workout day planned! I'm sorry to hear your injury got a little aggravated! This is being one stubborn injury! Okay, I was 90% decided on going to the RT, but when I read your post it pushed me over the edge... I'll definitely be there.... I have got to take the opportunity to meet my hero Carole:7 . I'll be honest with you. It will mean much more to me to meet you Wendy, Gayle or other cheetahs then to meet Cathe herself.

Jackie- You ran a 10k distance in an hour??? and this was a training run!!! Honey, you are MORE than ready for a race. You're going to mow em down:eek:  WTG!!! I agree, tempo runs are hard, definitely not something you want to be doing more than once a week!!! Keep up the good work cheetah!

Yesterday, I tentatively brought up the topic of the road trip with my DH.... "Honey, there's this weekend trip to Cathe's gym and some of my cheetah friends will be there..." before I could get out another word he said "you should GO!!" I said "But, I haven't even told you the cost yet!" He said it didn't matter I should do this if it's what I want..... what a sweetie:7

Time to get on with the race prep!!

ShellyC

Good morning Linda! Posting at the same time.... I see it was a "light" workout for you this morning ;-)

ShellyC

Good morning ladies,
I am one BLOATED cheetahs this morning. Well, I did not have one cookie like I said I was going to have, because my girlfriend made me a huge homemade CHOCOLATE BUNDT CAKE(GASP)!!! It was delicious}( So, it was definitley an eat fest for me yesterday, but today it is back to trying to eat clean and healthy.

My daughter went to school today with her crutches. She is very self conscious about it. I am kind of thinking maybe I should have left her home another day, but she was going stir crazy and I hate to have her miss too much school. I told her to call me though if she starts hurting.

Christine, I barely slept a wink last night thinking about you and your poor little sweet Tucker. I can't believe how fast stuff like that can happen. I was just petting my Katie and thinking of how I will take her for an extra long walk today. Thank you for sharing so much with us about Tucker.

Cathy, Enjoy Plyox! How is your tummy doing now?

Marcia, good luck with your class tonight. It is fun teaching a circuit class. It goes so fast.

Wendy, I hope you start to feel better. How exciting that you will meet Cathy this weekend. Take lots of pics:)

Judy, I need to start doing a rotation with the one muscle group per day. I have gotten so used to the endurance workouts that I think I have lost some strength. How is the hip doing and can you run yet?

Gayle, I have done cardio fusion a couple of times and WOW!, what a workout.

Sunnydelite, that is cool that you met someone who knows who Cathe is. I have yet to meet anyone, except the forum people, who know who she is. I am always amazed by that.

Carole, sounds like a fun workout. Yes, we need to figure out who is all going on the roadtrip. I find that butts and gutts floorwork and lying legs and glutes floorwork felt the best on my glutes and back more than any of the other leg workouts. How is the back feeling today? My back definitley flares up after multiple impact workouts. This week it is good because I have kept it fairly low impact so far. I had to be careful with the foam roller. I found that I was causing a little soreness and irritation in my glutes and back from using it too much. I now just use it every other day for about 10 minutes.

Jackie, great job on the tempo run. yes, I agree it is hard to maintain a steady pace on the runs. It is easier to do more of an interval workout.

Linda, too bad about the road trip. I would have loved to meet you. It sounds like a fun weekend though what you have planned with your daughter:)

Shelly, YAY!!!! You are going on the road trip. Can't wait to meet you. Our hubby's really do come through for us most of the time.

Well cheetahs, I am off to do 60 minutes on the elliptical to try to burn the 9000 calories I ate yesterday. Have a great day!

susan

Susan- I didn't know you were going on the road trip too!! wooohooo
The cheetahs are going to be well represented:7 9000 calories eh?
Hey, we only have b days once a year:p
I bed your daughter will be the center of attention today and will
love it!

I had a great run today with the 10k race prep. Looking forward to the real thing next Saturday!

ShellyC

Linda - When you do HHA or TJ, do they bother your back? I try to watch my tuck and my form but Last Minute Abs bothered my back. I was attempting to do it every day. So, I eased up on that one for a minute. I don't feel too coordinated myself trying to do some of those moves.

Shelly - That 10K race prep sounds really good. What's your fastest time? Do you think I need to slow my pace some on my shorter runs? Saturday, I have a 7 mile run. Think I'll try and keep the pace between 5.5 - 6.0 and just take my time. That was sweet of dh to tell you to go on the trip. My family and friends think I'm crazy for wanting to take a vacation to exercise. I think it's so much fun.

Susan - Sorry for the bloat. Hey the cake was for your birthday and many times a year do you celebrate your birthday. Even though, it seems for me I celebrate twice a year. Glad you enjoyed the cake. Hope you burn those 9000 calories too.

Jackie

Jackie- Hi Jackie! my 10k PR is 50:34. I have yet to break through
to obtain that <50 minute time. I may never get there but I'll have fun trying anyway :) It would be wise to limit your speed workouts to one a week, and your pace for your long run sounds perfect!!! Good plan:7

It would be awesome if you could make it for the road trip. My family and friends already Know Im crazy ;-)
