::::: CHEETAHS ::::: Wed., 2/21

Karen – Great workout this morning. I hope both yours and DDs doctor’s appointments go well.

Jess – Allison sounds so adorable. I’m looking forward to Annamarie wanting to play dress up. I’m sure my DS would play dress up, but only if I had an array of different super hero costumes. He already has 2 Spiderman costumes he still wears.

Laurie – Great job on Imax 2. I haven’t done that one is so long. Glad you had a nice “coffee interview”.

Christine – Your PP workout sounds like a killer, but followed by Imax 2… Wow girl! You are a super cheetah!

Judy – Ouch! I hope the ice and motrin helps with the pain.

Susan – You are not a bad mom at all. The good thing is she was not injured too bad and got back on her bike and tried again. At least she is not scared of it anymore. Kids are resilient. My DS wiped out on his bike last summer and now has a scar on his forehead to show for it. BTW he was riding with training wheels.

ShellyC – Your speed ladder workout sounds like a good one. That is great news that you don’t have any aches or pain. I hope Birdy starts feeling better soon. Good luck to your sister and her DH. I would be so scared to be so close to Bin Laden territory. Hopefully she won’t need the bullet proof vests, but it was so nice of your DH to give them to her. She must be one brave woman.

Linda - It sounds like we are going to run the Hatfield & McCoy HM. I guess we will need to sign up early so we can get a hotel reservation. I think it said on the website that they fill up early. Yeah for making it to 9 miles back in November. The farthest I have ran to date is 8 miles and that was early last summer, currently I am at 6 miles for my long run. However, this weekend my long run will be 7 miles. I’m inching up there slowly but surely. You will do great!

Wendy - Your stories are always so interesting. DH & I were high school sweethearts. Of course, at first he could not stand me, but I must have worn him down or grown on him like fungus. LOL Following high school he went off to college and I went to a community college. After 5 years of dating, and both of us graduating from college, we got married. In June we will be celebrating 10 years of wedded bliss.

Hi to Carole, Thomasina, SunnyD, & Shelley. Waves to anyone I may have missed.

I’m back – no afternoon workout, but I think I did enough today! I wanted to check in and say a few quick hellos –

Laurie – glad your coffee date went well! Sounds like you had a good time. And you’re out there meeting people.

Susan – you are NOT a bad mommy! Accidents happen, although poor little thing – I so hope she feels better soon! That had to have scared the pants off of you! We took our girls mountain biking about 4/5 years ago and Anna didn’t break hard enough and ended up almost going off the side and down an embankment (fortunately she fell before she did that) . Scared the living daylights out of me! Her glasses cut her face, so she was bleeding all over the place and she was all cut up. I used my shirt to help stop the blood, so we looked as if we had been attacked by a wild animal and created quite a stir. She’s fine now, and still enjoys riding, but we still talk about that. So, you’re not the only one (like Jess said). It’s all apart of learning to ride a bike – but it’s horrible when it happens. {{{HUGS}}} I am sooo happy to hear that you were able to do Imax 2, though! How wonderful!

Carole – I’m doing Judy’s Upper Body Sweatfest tomorrow. I’m very excited. I read that you did the PP lowerbody x3 workout precisely once. Of course, I read that after I did it. The first set of exercises were okay, but the lunges followed by the leg presses had me shaking!

Judy – sooo sorry you’re hurt again!!! I’ll skip the wet noodle – you’re torturing yourself enough. I’ll be sending you healing vibes and swearing at you (I’m sure) when I do your PP/SS upper body workout tomorrow.

Shelly – I humbly bow before you. You’d be on the elliptical even with your bum burning like mine. I’m amazed by your workouts!! Wow!

Wendy – yeah, I’m always happy when I was able to change out the workouts. So you’re nearing the end of phase 2? How are the results?!

Kristi - only the step portion of IMax 2 - not the blasts - it was a nice easy cardio to get the lactic acid out. Wasn't quite as effective as I had hoped. :+

Hi to everyone else!

Christine - I think you might find some humor in this story. As you probably read earlier in one of my posts, I went to mass today during my lunch hour and then went back to work. About an hour ago I had a coworker whisper to me, "Kristi, you have some black stuff on your forehead.". I've already had two people inform me of this as well. LOL. About 1/2 of my office is Catholic, at least those coworkers didn't ask me. It is so sweet they told me. At least I know if I ever have a mark on my face they will inform me right away. (BTW, I did explain to them about the ashes.)

Oh Kristi - that is funny! I won't be making it to mass today, but I have the ashes on my forehead in spirit. Sounds like you have a nice office.

I love you all but my golly you are a bunch of chatty cheetahs! I am sorry that I was unable to keep up yesterday and the same holds true for today. I've got some studying to do for tonight after which I should be able to breathe easier for a day or two.

The workout I did yesterday kicked my butt. I wanted to get weights and cardio out of the way all at once, plus circuit workouts go by fast for me. So I intermixed the B&G leg blast with elliptical sprints. The entire thing took me me 1 hour and 40 minutes and I was wiped after it was all done.

Still nursing the PF so today I did PS Chest, Shoulders and Triceps followed by 45 minutes on the elliptical.

So, there's my report. I will hopefully have time for personals tomorrow. Talk to you all then!

hello,

shelly C- yes our ymca has an indoor track-9laps make a mile.

my hubby took the boys to soccer practice tonight so I went for a 3mile run outside and came home and did butts and gutts leg blast premix. Man I was like, how many damn walking lunges are they gonna do. It ended up getting up to 40 degrees here so I thought, what a great time to get an outdoor run in. I loved it! I only ran 3 miles though because I think I am trying to get the cold that my DH had so I didnt want to push my luck being that the air still had a chill to it.

carole- doing the X and going veg helped you shed 17pds. Have you had a problem keeping it off? You dont look like you can afford to lose any wt! thats great though, I am still having trouble focusing on clean eating but I am adding workouts . so part of the plan is falling into affect.

off to shower, my DD told me I stink!
