Morning, cheetahs :)

Another morning where the AM workout plan just didn't work out. If I can't get up at 4 am, it doesn't happen! I wanted to make up for PlyoX, which I missed last night b/c dinner ran so late. Now I'm all fouled up. But I should be able to leave school on time today, so my first priority this afternoon will be S&A and some type of cardio to sub for PlyoX. I guess it's really not that big a deal to switch up the order with the P90 rotation, either, is it?

OK, I have to catch up with y'day's posts, so I'll be back with personals.

Have a great day, ladies! I'm out of the classroom today on a professional day. (Still at school but doing committee work.)

Cathy :)

Sunny :: 14 clients!! Wow! How’d that go? Hope you were able to get in a run. Aruba isn’t booked yet – we’re considering it. Everyone seems to rave about it, and I thought all-inclusive might be the way to go, but I’m hearing otherwise.

Marcia :: good job on the run & ½ of PlyoX…That’s not a shabby workout AT ALL, IMO. You’re doing great!! Results ARE on the way.

Wendy :: I am with you – I get cranky if I go too long without a meal. :) …I would never in a million years have expected to go for something like Fluidity. Me and anything ballet-related?? Ha! But after reading the posts by other Catheites and then watching the infomercial on the website, I got suckered in…I am definitely interested in Ryan’s Run and will be out of school, but I have to check with Scranton. That *might* be the date I have to take my comprehensive exam (3 hours) for my Master’s. I know it’s a Saturday in June; I just can’t remember which one…Yeah, we definitely do need to plan our gtg. How about one weekend in March?

Laurie :: how’d the latest coffee interview go? Remember my theory about the final days of the membership? It’s proving true. Ha!…Your sleep theory is right on! And it seems my energy has gone down the past few days, partly due to PMS, I think. Sometimes that just zaps me.

Barb :: the split workout idea is what I was going for today, but I couldn’t get my butt out of bed in time…Thanks ~ it’s a different friend, not the ones who dogged me for the ski trip.

Judy :: thanks, I did enjoy dinner…I didn’t partake in any of the bread or appetizers (resisting bread is major for me!). I had the chicken breast and garlic mashed potatoes. No dessert. I am getting much better about eating healthier at restaurants – even when those around me are indulging. Too often, I use the social atmosphere as an excuse to let loose!…I’m glad you enjoyed the rest day – although having 10 boys sleep over doesn’t sound like much rest! *lol*

Christine :: hope you enjoyed your rest day without going too nuts…Fingers crossed Aruba happens. We are looking at Punta Cana also. It’s not the same friends I referred to recently.

Kristi :: glad you and the little one are OK after your fall on the ice patch…Yes, I did buy Fluidity. I agree about Tony – he’s kind of a macho meathead but not in an offensive way. He cracks me up.

Linda :: thanks for the info on Aruba…I talked to some friends last night who also did not opt for all-inclusive. They said they enjoyed hopping the bus and going to different restaurants. Great job on getting Fluidity in today ~ I am too excited about it!!!! I keep checking the order status button several times a day like a maniac.

Carole :: love the sombrero pic! Ha! I was going to ask if that was your empty glass in front of you!

Karen :: I feel the same way…it’s close to TTOM for me, too, and I am feeling sluggish. Some months it’s more so than others. Hope you enjoyed your day with your sister.

Shelly :: whoa!!! That *is* an insane workout!! I feel like a SLOTH compared to you. *lol* Hope Birdy’s doing OK and you enjoyed the day with your sister & BIL. Any good stories to share?

Susan :: great job on a pain-free KPC workout…progress!!…I hope you can add running in again real soon!…Sounds like a nice date night you had…I did get a lot of my work done this weekend but not all of it. The pile *is* disappearing though…I think by this next weekend, I should be back to normal!! Whew! Thanks for asking.

Shelley (LC) :: hey, did you manage to run outside?…I hope I can make Aruba happen! I have to get clearance from my dermatologist first as I am taking meds right now and am supposed to avoid the sun. Naturally, that makes me want to head straight for the Caribbean…Oh come on, we need a sordid story around here!! Let’s have it! ;)

Wendy & Christine :: thanks for sharing your stories of how you met your DH’s. They’re always interesting to hear. Now I think we should pressure Shelley into telling us hers! }( :)

Cathy :)

Hi Cheetahs....

Cathy--good plan for doing your workout this afternoon. I am the same way, if I don't get up early enough, working out doesn't happen. Good luck with the meeting today.

Shelley—Good job on your run!! You did it. I always want to blow off abs after my run. I’m impressed you did ARX, too! My total run was 5 miles, I did half in the a.m. and half in the early afternoon after getting home from work. I really wanted to bail. I usually run 4 or 4.5 miles on Tuesday, but am trying to gradually increase the distance on that day...My body is barely cooperating, so whether this will happen is TBA...

Linda—that’s a great tip about making coffee the night before. I think I’d have to do it in the afternoon, because after 6 p.m. I am beat. About dividing up the workout: after I did it, it was helpful. I had more energy for the late afternoon when I had to do some extra things with kids. But it was really hard to restart exercise, but I was glad I did it.

Elaine-- Hi!! How is your week going? Thanks for the info on EXT running equivalent info.

Carole—How was PLB standing y’day? I did a lot of B&G standing y’day as part of my leg workout and it felt good on my low back.

Karen—good job on your 5 miles y’day and I hear ya’ about feeling no energy with TTOM….

ShellyC—thanks for posting your TM speedladder workout. I’m saving it. It looks like a goody. How is Birdy? Thanks for the race date info. I added it to my list and will post it.

Susan—great that your eating is on track!! I am sure you will be able to run soon. You have been really responsible working with your PT and it’s great you got your EXT to keep the cardio going. I bet you will come back faster and stronger than when you stopped. Good for Mariah about her biking!!

Kristi—I shouldn’t have said “freestyle” for lower body. I just try to work my legs a few times a week when I run. I am getting tempted to buy Fluidity. Good luck with the soda. I used to be a major Diet Coke drinker and then eventually gave it up. It was tough.:)

Jess-good news about your run. The weather here was great, too.

Wendy—I am the same way with eating, mood & food. I think it’s nice you can live near your family. Amazing story about meeting your DH. That sounds like a difficult situation (with your friend) that ultimately had a really happy ending for you with DH. :)

Have a great day Cheetahs.

-Barb
:) :)

Cathy-Well it's good you have a good circle of friends to choose from. The Aruba plan sounds great. I love warm weather vacations!

Good Morning Girlies!:p

Cathy: You can adjust the X to suit your needs just like any other rotation. The most important part IMO is that you can make sure you fit in all of the weight work every week. I don't do the X cardio often at all. I have subbed most of it for something else so far...Just let me know if you can make that race to meet Shelly once you find out. A date in March should be ok for a GTG. How about saturday the 24th?

Barb: Let us know which upper body work out you choose. }(

No DOMS in my legs as of yet...We'll see what happens as the day progresses. I have Back and Biceps on tap for today. KILLER! Not my fave but hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? ;)

Good morning my Cheetah women!

I have Shoulders and Arms and ARX today!}( Should be a goodie, I love Shoulders and Arms. Eating is staying on track so far, I did have a few 'cheat bites' last night, but nothing too harmful. I have my Weight Watcher weigh-in tonight. Not sure what to expect so my fingers are crossed. I feel much better, though, so that counts for soemthing. I'm not sure from my run yesterday so I'm pumped to 'get busy' and plan out my training schedule with, of course, P90X included.

Cathy - So, have you looked through the P90X Series? Which rotation are you doing or are you just checking them all out?

I'll be back.
Marcia.

Hey Ladies :)

Shelly all-wild-girl- Hi five ^^^^^ on doing that run y'day! Now it's my turn...

Cathy- a vacation in Aruba? Go for it. you can alwyas sit under an umbrella! Don't fret about the WO, you will manage!

Wendy- Thanks for sharing your how you met DH story. DH and I liketo ask people that question when we are getting to know them!

Marcia- good luck at the WW meeting tonight.

Today is floor legs and a TM run. We were going totry an outdoor run, but areas of our routesw are still icy! I do not want to take a chance of jarring my hip on the ice. Any way I haven't run in a week and a half. Just EXT and Imax. The TM is a safe choice today.

ShellyC- that TM WO looks to be a good calorie burner!

Hi to all who follow :)

Judy "Likes2bfit"

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Good morning Cheetahs! I've been MIA for a few days, but the kids are FINALLY going back to school this morning. They had Mon and Tues off for President's Day and teacher's in service. I love having them home, but I'm glad they're going back today!

I'll be back later this morning. I slept in, so I'll be getting my workout in after the bus picks them up. I was giving my tailbone a few extra days to settle down, and it feels really good this morning. So I'm planning a run (4 miles or so) and then floor work from B&G and PLB.

BBL to catch up, for personals, etc!

Gayle

morning,

cathy- let us know if you get results from the X. I have the system and love some of the workouts but havent been able to stick to a rotation. I plan on trying again sometime.

carole-love the picture. you look like your having too much fun!

well I came home right after work and did tae bo get ripped advanced workout #2. that hour seems to fly by quickly. tonight my son has soccer practice so I will either run the track at the ymca or do the elliptical. my brother has his bootcamp class tonight and will probably try to talk me into staying for it but I dont think that I will because it doesnt start until 6:30pm and that is when my sons soccer practice is over and I am already going to be at the ymca late thursday due to both my boys having soccer practice and monday night I get home late because I teach class. sorry , long winded there.

anyway, I have to get ready for work unfortunately. there is however a 2 hr delay due to fog. talk with you all later!

Happy Ash Wednesday all!

Cathy – sorry the workout didn’t work out… You’ll still get the bennies from P90X – it’s the weights that are important. My fingers are crossed that Aruba happens, too – you deserve it!

Barb - Have fun with your UB workout. A good stretch always feels wonderful!

Wendy – good luck with Back and Biceps. Remember that you only have to do it three times in a row!

Marcia – LOVE S&A! Great job with the eating! Good luck tonight at WW.

Laura – I like Tae Bo GR 2 (I like 1 even better). 2 hour delay due to fog? We never get those here. Enjoy your morning.

Well, I’m going to do either SuperSets or Push and Pull – as I really need a more total body workout today. Which one, in your opinion, is tougher? Will probably do more legs and skip the abs as my abs are sore from yesterday.

Good morning Cheetahs! Today is a scheduled rest day. I plan to go to mass during my lunch time instead. I want to start the Lent season off on the right foot. Oh, for those who are curious. There isn't any bruising from my fall yesterday. Just my ego hurts a little. :) Luckily none of my neighbors saw me. Oh well, even if they did they would not have been surprised.

Wendy - I liked your story on how you and DH met. Funny how things just work out. Your honesty won him over. That is so sweet! DH & I have a simple story so I won't bore you with the details.

Linda - I can't believe you are old enough to have a son-in law. You look amazing. That is too funny that your son-in-law is a real Hatfield. Does he know who won the feud? :) I would love to run the HM with you. Is it official then?

Hello to all Cheetahs! Have a great day. I'll try to BBL.

Christine--I think PP is tougher and more straightforward, but everything is only 1 set, so you can do a premix for 2 sets or 3 sets or do mix-&-Match to do how much you want. I like the sequencing of doing opposing muscle groups. SS has more compound exercises, using the ball, etc. They are both good workouts. It depends what you are in the mood for. Happy Ash Wednesday to you. good luck with your Lent plan!

Laura--Hi! You have a busy day with kids ahead of you!

Judy--Ice is so dangerous and unfriendly. The TM is definitely safer.

-Barb
:)

Thanks Barb! After all of that, I think I'll do B&G Over All Legs premix today and Judy's workout tomorrow. I'm still a little sore in my upper body and realized that another day off would be a good thing. :p

Christine-sounds like a good plan. Judy's premix is hard and you'll probably love it. I did B&G standing y'day and enjoyed it.

Kristi-glad there's no brusing from the fall. You have a nice plan for the day with Mass and resting up.

-Barb
:)

Christine - If you do PP - it just had that tiny bit of abs at the end and since you don't want to do "abs" that may be your best bet. That way you can get in a little bit more leg and strength time? Both are goodies, though! Thanks for the compliment! I will be 48 y/o in 2 weeks! Youch! My how time flies x(

Barb - Thanks you for the compliment, too :) I will definitely have to try the splitting the runs! I have done cardio in the morning and weights in the eve. before, but never splitting runs, too. It sounds good! Enjoy your UB!

Wendy - That is a good story! I am so glad it worked out well for you! Enjoy the X today!

Cathy - LOL...I can remember checking the tracking over and over and over when my Fluidity was being delivered! It got to me really fast! I am thinking it was less than a week. I am really excited about starting it up again...and trying to stick to it! I cannot wait for you to get yours! I'll bet you have it by Friday. I agree with the going without the all inclusive. We always go from place to place to eat, too. I have a bunch of good restaraunt suggestions if ya want some!

Marcia - Enjoy your workout and with all of your working out, your "few" cheat bites probably won't show up on your weigh in! A lot of the girls in my office are doing WW, too.

Gayle - Enjoy your run and floorwork!

Judy - Hope your hip is good with your run! I agree...TM is good choice! It would be awfully painful to pull your hip on the ice! Does doing step bother yours? For some reason, it is starting to bother mine...but that could be because of me hurting it a couple of months ago while running downhill? Anyway....good luck!

Laura - I am glad you are enjoying TaeBo Get Ripped. I like those really well, too. I really wish he would put the Advanced Live's on DVD! Or make some more just like them! :)

Kristi - Yay! I will, if you will! I will need you to stay on my back, though, to make sure I am training correctly! LIke I said, I have never run a 1/2. I will have to get serious about adding mileage. My longes run was 9 miles....and that was back in ...probably November? I will ask my SIL who won the feud! He may be running, too...but I am not sure.

This morning I ran 5 1/2 miles and did Barry's Bootcamp Arms and Abs.

Hi to everyone! Be Back later.

Linda

Good morning cheetahs

Christine...Coremax 2 & 3 yesterday! I figured you would do PP/SS today. I think Judy posted a killer PP/SS upper body workout a few days ago? I don't feel either of them is tougher than the other.

Cathy...Nope, the Maragrita was my nieces. I just figure there is too much sugar in those kinds of drinks so I stick to watered down beer...:)..I hope the Aruba trip works out for you.

Barb...I might have a pic of my sister somewhere on this PC...:)...PLB standing felt good yesterday. I only went up on the deadlifts as I was being nice to my ham/glute or piriformis (whatever it is!). Enjoy UB and stretching.

Wendy..the Sombrero pic was taken last Sunday night. PlyoX was quite fun! I enjoyed your sordid love story! I have known my DH for so long, since I was about 8, but we did not date until I was in College. In High School though he dated my best friend...:)...I will join you today with B&B!

Kristi...glad to hear no bruising from the fall. Enjoy your rest day.

Linda...I have found 48 not to feel too bad...don't worry!! Good run and workout today.

Marcia...have fun with Shoulders & Arms.

Gayle...that looks like a tough floorwork workout. I can already feel the burn...:)

Karen...I have TTOM too. It does zap the energy for a few days. Good job with the 5 miles.

Shelly...the ladder workout looks cool. I do one also using my HRM but have not done it for awhile. I was amazed at how fun PlyoX was! I was drenched. I will hopefully soon post a pic in my cheetah shirt. I hope Birdy has a speedy recovery...:)

Susan..good job with KPC and no pain! My eating wasn't great over the weekend, but it has been alot better the last few days. Cute story about your 4 yr old...:)...I don't think you are a sap, kids just seem to grow up so quickly.

Judy...actually my favorite Mexican restaurant is about 3 hours away!! But this one is okay....I think it is better for you to use the TM instead of running in the icy conditions.

Laura...thanks. I did have fun on my B-Day...

Shelley (LC)...my niece ( the Maragrita drinker!) told me in the Sombrero pic she thought my smile looked forced...:)...nah, I smile silly alot...You do have all of us VERY curious about your sordid love story...Good job on your 4 miles and ARX.

I am doing P90X B&B, abs and a 5 mile run (in the rain!)

Have a great day...:)

G'morning Cheetahs! I felt so great all day y'day after my run. I really really hope this is the end of my IT band injury!! :) I did GS Chest & GS Back y'day, just for a change. I have some DOMS in my chest this morning! I missed the GS workouts! I made myself take a little break & do some endurance work. I'm going to do GS legs today.

Allison & I are just hanging out. No where to go til church tonight. I have laundryMax & cleanMax as usual. Must mop the floors & tidy up. (Allison will help, she loves to help clean!) She's dressed up in her Snow White costume right now, she'll have to change to Cinderella to clean. :p

OK, I've gotta get moving or else I'll get stuck in the chair! Have a great Wednesday! I'll post how Greg & I met later...
