:::CHEETAHS::TUESDAY:::

fitg

Cathlete
I was trying to think of a creative title for this morning, but nothing came to me.

Jackie: I do not know what her plans are. I know her DSO picked up another job after she got fired. Her parents would do anything for her too. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for her. :)

Cathy: On the website I sent you via pm go under the sharing tab. It is the Ba-da-bing lesson. The kids loved it and I saw some great things in their writing. You are right, you have to draw the line sometimes in re: to school. I don't think Dh's cousin is going to fight the termination. I will talk to her at the benefit and find some more things out. The couch is a good place after a long day. :)

Wendi: AAWWW! Those sweet kitties. My mom bred Siamese cats while I was growing up so I have a fondness for all cats. I have been trying to talk DH into one for a while now, but he doesn't like the litter box thing. As the years go by though I am getting closer! ;) I really think if I brought one home he wouldn't care. DH is doing fine. His mom is nothing really to worry about, she is doing great. He is sensitive though and worried about his cousin.

Today will be a run. I am pretty dang sore from HSC! Hopefully a run will loosen things up. Have a great day Cheetahs!!

Good morning, cheetahs!

Wendi :: what a great way to try something new: the buffet! Glad you enjoyed the meal. I have been wanting to try Indian, but the problem is, my one friend who is a foodie and willing to experiment is the one who just had the baby, and we just haven't managed to coordinate schedules for the longest time. Now, of course, her main objective is SLEEP! :)...How cute you picked up two, little friends along your walk. For some reason, I thought there was going to be a proposal somewhere in that story! :)...I know you were pretty pumped up after your run, but do you feel otherwise that you are still a bit fatigued?...Oh yes, I hear you. I enjoy snow, but not now in October! :)

Gloria :: thanks! I will check it out...I would be happy to contribute to her benefit if you would post or PM the info...I totally passed out on the couch! *lol* Enjoy your run...I hope it loosens things up for ya!

Today is a run and Winsor Buns & Thighs. I have a dentist appointment after school, so if I can't beat the sundown, I will likely take it to the TM. Been thinkin' that, as it gets darker, I might start doing my two weekday runs at school. I could run as early as 3 pm.

Have a wonderful day! :) :) :)

Good morning Cheetahville!

Well, BC was supposed to be on the agenda for today but I've still got some pretty decent chest DOMS from Sunday so I *may* reconsider that one. I've got another half hour for the drugs to kick in before I make my decision. If it's not BC I may opt for some KBing...maybe a 4DS/KPC mish mosh. Surprisingly the legs feel grrrrrreat this morning:D!

Gloria - Enh, it's too early to get creative with the thread titles;). I am definitely a cat person, too. Thank goodness my DSO loves *all* animals...in fact he was asking if this weekend would be a good time to come to the farm to visit the kittens. He misses them, awww:). Perhaps you'll find a kitty that wins him over someday. Oh, how pretty, Siamese are beeeoootiful. Hope your run loosens things up for you.

Cathy - Your idea of running at school is a good one! At least it will keep you outside longer and off the TM...always a good thing. Hope your appt goes well...no problems I hope:(. Um, *enjoy* the WP;). Awww, you're too cute. No "official" proposal yet but it has been discussed and that's what direction we're heading towards:). Yeah, can see why your friends top priority would be sleep. I say the next time we get Christine out this way she gives us the "grand tour" of Indian food :9. I have to say that I felt great all day yesterday and am pretty good right now....hopefully I'm heading in the right direction.

Gonna grab a bit more java and peruse for another couple of minutes before starting my TBD workout. TTFN!

Hiya gals!

So, there ended up being no fancy mish mosh. Decided to go for good ol' KPC and had a great workout. I am glad I decided to forego BC though...ooh, my chest is still talking (more like protesting) rather loudly:confused:. Yeah, stalls ought to be fun today lol:p.

Have a great day ladies and see yas tonight!

Good Morning Cheetahs.

Sorry I never got back here last night. I went to bed ridiculously early~8:30pm. Oh well, I guess I needed it so no biggie. :)

Today's work out will be a run after work in place of the DM cardio blast premix.

Gloria: Excited about snow? YIKES! LOL I like snow too if I can stay home and just look at it. It is pretty but what a pain when you have to go ANYWHERE.

Cathy: Thanks for the suggestions on the books. I will definately look into it. So how are mommy and baby doing? I kept meaning to ask.

Wendi: Cute kitty story. Thanks for sharing. Hope you continue to feel better! Glad you enjoyed your first Indian food experience. My BFF is from Pakistan so I've been eating indian food for years. Sometimes it's at her family parties that I go to and other times we go out to a restaraunt. We've also gotten take out a few times. YUMMY. You are brave going it alone with no one to guide you as to what everything is.

Christine: Back to enjoying the bells? I haven't used them in a while. Perhaps I can find a way to sneak 'em in to my current rotation. ;)

Carole: I am excited that Team in Training offers a marathon local to me. Being local reduces the amount of $ I need to raise which makes me more comfortable with the decision to train with them. The guy that called me was very nice and it was a quick response! I left my info on thier website in regards to being interested y'day afternoon and they called me with in a few hours! I don't mind baby/bridal showers for those I am close to. It's the showers I am invited to of the folks I am NOT close to where I literally feel like all they want is my $$/gift that I hate.

Linda: I don't think I would do the Team in Training thing if it was only virtual training. I like the idea of having real people to run with if I opt to. Especially on the longer training runs. It'll feel a bit like a race and that keeps me going. :)

Posh: Thanks for your thoughts on TNT. I'm definately interested. So when you say base mileage, what's a good #??

Karen: Feel better!!!!!

Jackie: Congrats on your race! Wish I was around to wish you luck. Sounds like you ran a great one! :)

Judy: Yes, I am done with Joey's Christmas shopping. This is not normal for me though. Trust me, I will be shopping well into December for everyone else. Great 7 miler y'day. Who cares about the speed!

K, time to get moving. I'll be back this afternoon.

Later Girls!:)

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...LOL about the weight loss memo!! I do remember a few years back, a thread about marathon training and weight loss. I felt the odd man out as I was one of the few that lost weight. Now that I am at my goal I am not wanting to loose. I am wondering if Karen will want to do 16 miles this sunday!! Sounds like a good rotation for you. Sounds like a good plan to run at school so you can get it done early. Enjoy your run and Windsor workout today.

Gloria...my DH is quite a talker himself. Not sure where he got that from! Glad to heat your DH's family is so close. WOW, you are getting some chilly temps too. Good job with HSC yesterday. Enjoy your run.

Wendi...way to go increasing your 5-6 mile to a fast 7.1 miler!! Thanks re: the shower. I did get to hear all about it yesterday (yes, glad I missed it!). I have enjoyed the new washer...Snow showers...wow...I do hope we get some snow this winter. Cool about the new restaurant being a success!! I like the kitty story...I am a sucker for strays. Glad to hear the legs feel good today. Enjoy kickboxing.

Wendy...base mileage foe me will be about 36-40 weekly miles before I start my 12 weeks of training for Napa. Runner's World online has some great training schedules for beginning marathoners as well as the Gallloway and Higdon sites, maybe you can check those out for tips also. Glad to hear Team in Training is working out for your marathon. IA about the baby showres.

Linda...Yes, we are both 49! I also have the 63 year old friend and she is one awesome and fast runner, so besides my sister there are many older to look up to for me! Yes oldest sis is a mess and I ran into her visiting Mom yesterday......Good job with CTX, abs and the 5 mile run.

Posh..an easy week is a very good idea for you running wise. Having a MT in Chicago does make it even more tempting. How many dinners can she eat in one weekend!!?...:D..I agree clean eating and consistent running can help in the weight dept.

Karen..sorry about the cold. Resting is a good thing to do now. Sending healing vibes your way...:)

Jackie...I do feel good getting in those nice long miles again. Good job with iTread and Slo mo chest.

Judy...I like shopping for appliances too. I am always amazed at the new changes every year! Sorry about DD15, I hope his contusion goes away fast!

Today I am doing my own legwork pyramid style and 40 mins on my EXT.

Have a great day...:)

Hiya Cheetahs!!

Carole – I was cheering for the Raiders on Sunday – as was DH, which was unusual as he does not like the Raiders. The Patriots looked good last night – I wish Matt Cassel was consistent. Enjoy your workout today! Enjoying the cool weather?

Linda – No worries – I love Big Sur and would love to have you run it with us!! We go with another couple, too. He’s a character! (I call him 20 pounds of BS in a 10 pound bag – but he’s totally good natured). When is your race?

Wendi – glad you’re feeling better! Way to go on the run! WOW! Yeah, I’m not a fan of lines either, but it was fun over all. I hope you get to enjoy the tree guys again today! *winks* Oh, that Indian restaurant sounds wonderful! I love Indian food, obviously! You certainly had a kitty filled day! They must know you love ‘em!

Thomasina – I guess we should see if Cathy wants to ride the bike, yeah. :p Is your next marathon in Napa? That will be fun! I think I’d rather be on a family cruise than running Big Sur!! Nah, you’re the biggest enabler out there – so KETTLEBELLS!!! Oh yeah, and kettlebells!!!!! *sneaks in and says, Kettlebells*

Karen – Sending healing vibes to you! Oooh, soup sounds wonderful!

Jackie – The Oktoberfest had a bunch of people running around with bagpipes (very German! :p) complete with kilts. And others running around in lederhosen. There were booths of things, but not nice things – very cheaply made things. I guess people who go to an Oktoberfest are more interested in food and drink than in wares on display.

Judy – yes we ran the 10.6 mile run at Big Sur. Absolutely stunning. Oh, I hope DS’s contusion heals quickly! Yes, 15 is not very conducive to following such a regime.

Wendy – I’m sure you will do enough of the Leg Blast rotation to interest you. ;) How exciting to be talking to TNT! You know you’ll get a good donation from me! :p I am enjoying the bells again – I really like what they do for my core and my lower body. They compliment cycling very well.

Gloria – oh that is so not cool! Poor girl. Sounds like she has a lot of family around for support, though. That’s good. Oh, I always love the first snow fall. It’s the 10th or so that gets to me. :p

Cathy – I’ve heard what you’re feeling is pretty common for marathoners. 26.2 miles is tough on the body, so it takes some time to recover. I’ve been considering costumes for Mr. Jim, but whenever I try them on him, he looks so darned miserable!! We’ll see. My friend may come over with your 2 yo son, and we may walk around the neighborhood. If that happens, we will have to get Jimmy a costume. Something to compliment her son. If you run at school, would you be running the track? I wonder if you could get some of your kids to run with you – that might make it less boring.

Today is a scheduled rest day. So, I’m going to enjoy a relaxing morning. Last night we ended up out to dinner at Elephant Bar as DD19 was up in the area. It was fun. The three of us (DD15 was at Tae Kwon Do and had already eaten) split two Chinese dishes. Just enough food for all of us. I do have to maneuver my way through a big lunch out at a Mexican restaurant – I think I’ll order chicken fajitas no sour cream or guacamole. Have a great day all!

Carole! Posting at the same time. Have fun with your pyramid leg workout and your time on the EXT. Sounds like a good time.

Good morning!

Wendi – That is so sweet about the cats following you! The kitties sound so sweet! That is cute that they would “escort” you and DSO like that! The food at the restaurant sounds yummy! I am so glad you had a good day and that you are feeling better!

Cathy – Thanks for the taper info! Next week (my final taper week), I will keep my runs to 3 and 4 miles, like you said. This week and last week I have only done a few 5 miles and some 4 miles. But, of course, the weekend was my shortened “long” run. This is kind of confusing, seeing as this is my first experience…and I am afraid of screwing up  Enjoy your run and WP! That is a good idea to do it at 3:00 at school!

Judy – I hope you son gets along okay (and complies with doc’s orders! ;) ) I am sure it will be hard to get him to not want to play :) I am glad it isn’t more serious …although this is definitely no fun, I am sure!

Gloria – The title is just fine! :) Hope the DOMS from HSC goes away soon! But ….I guess we actually like DOMS ;) Good job :) Enjoy your run!

Wendy – No, I couldn’t do it with the virtual, either. I needed “live” people…and I was lucky, cause I had Cheetahs, too :) You are so lucky to have a group in your area! I am glad you got some rest last night! Enjoy your run!

This morning was a 4 mile run, CTX Chest, 10 Minute Solution Pilates (abs and B&T section).

Hey to everyone! I will BBL...I have to leave work to go to an eye appointment in a few. Gotta straighten up my desk :)

Linda

Hey! You guys slipped in on me :)

Carole – I am glad to know that you are my age…but you already have 12 marathons under your belt and this is my first…o I just hope I am able to complete a few :) And you look like a “spring chicken”, by the way :) That is wonderful that there are so many older women that continue to run! Sorry you ran into your sis when you were visiting your mom! Did she behave herself? Enjoy your Pyramid Leg workout!

Christine – My race is Nov. 2. That is funny about your friend’s nickname :) I would love to be able to run it with you guys! Just not quite sure how things are going to work out with my schedule to do my training and where I will end up, though :) Sure how it is so that I can run with some Cheetah pals ! Enjoy your rest day! The Elephant Bar sounds fun :)

Hi Friends

Gloria- I hope you are not too sore from today and yesterday. I am keeping Dh's cousin in my prayers.

Cathy- Great idea to run at 3pm from school! Do you have a choice between neighborhoods and the track? it is all about being flexible and tweaking routines. Are you sill going tot MCM to cheer on a friend? DD is hosting a pasta dinner for her BF before she leaves. The DD will meet her there on Saturday. I am so excited for this kid! DD told me last night the day of the marathon, 10/36/06 is the anniversary of her Mom's death. Her Mom died young from Breast Cancer. DD is struggling with how to respectfully and compassionately acknowledge this.

Wendy- TNT looks great. I have spent some time on their web site. At this time they do not have a local group training for anything! I have been looking over at a site called Mom's n Motion. They do a variety of fitness activities including training for races of all kinds. But I would prefer if they were charitable. They may be, I just don't know much about them yet.

Wendi- You must have a sign visible to cats only that says cat lover all over you! Yum that buffet sounded delish!

Karen- any better today?

Carole- I couldn't help but pay attention to the trainig advice you gave Wendy. I am taking notes ;)

Christine- good plan for the mexican lunch. Ooh, now I am wishing for my own salad with avocado, beans and salsa on it.

Linda- I am sending you healthy eye check up wishes *****

Jackie- Have you figured out the gas fireplace yet? We have one in our bedroom and turn the pilot on in winter months and off the rest of the year.

This morning it was dark and raining steady , so I did itread #5 30 minutes for 3 miles . It had 3 big hills, 8%,8% & 10% I jogged each of them even thoug Grace has you walking or very slow jogging. If I had been outside there would have been hills, so I figured I should have done a few. After the yoga was calling my name. So I did part 3 of yogilates which is more yoga than pilates. I had to add in some pigeons though because there were none!

Happy Tuesday morning Cheetahs!

Cathy - And that fabulous weekend was well worth being behind. :D The neighbor was supposed to leave his business card in my mailbox. Don't know if he left it and the carrier tossed it. You know USPS doesn't like anything going in those boxes unless it has a stamp affixed. :) But, I can find him in the phone book now or walk to his house. I hope we can either start this Saturday or next. Thinking I may go to DBF this weekend. So, don't really want to push for that date yet. May give him a call at least by Thursday because I have a 10 miler on my schedule for Saturday. Have a good run. Would you run on the track at school?

Wendi - Nice day with SO. Great find on the Indian restaurant. Do you like spicy? My BIL loves the spicy stuff and he gets hiccups every time he eats it. LOL!! Cute kitty story. Hope that was his home too. Good job on the workout with DOMS! Maybe you won't feel the pain at work today. :p

Gloria - Glad she has a good support system. Yay for DOMS!! Hope you had a good run.

Wendy - You must have been tired from that awesome weekend you had. That's nice that TNT offers a local marathon. You don't have to do too much traveling. I didn't completely decide to do the race until Friday.
I know you would have sent me good vibes too. Thanks!

Carole - There was a lady at my race Saturday that said she was too old for running. I asked her how old she was. She said 49. Told her she was still young and could do it. Don't remember what her time was. I'm always inspired by those older than I am. Enjoy your workout.

Christine - Men running around in skirts! :D Sounds like fun. Yeah, didn't seem like too much vendor stuff was moving while I was there Saturday. I didn't eat any of the food either. I'm sure since the festival was held in downtown, no alcoholic beverages were offered. They didn't want people to have that much fun.:D Enjoy your rest day.

Linda - Good job on the run, chest and pilates. Hope all was well with the eyes.

Judy - DB has to get the guy that installed the gas logs to come by and show me how to operate it. Hopefully he will do that before it gets too cold. I don't want to blow anything up. Good job with iTread #5. Those hills are killers. Glad you enjoyed the yoga.

So, I followed in Judy's steps and did iTread #5 until I got in 4.8 miles and I took a few of the walking breaks. Did Slo Mo Back and some stretching.

Enjoy your day!

Hi Cheetahs! Between marathon training, getting my house in order and a new job I've had to squeeze in time for posting lately:( Hopefully, that will improve soon. Anyway, I was anxious to get started on my long run this morning so I skipped the computer time til afterwards. Have to catch up now on some laundry and whatnot before settling down for a nap. It's back to work tonight!

Finished up a pretty nice 20 miler and maintained a comfortable 10:00 pace. I'm happy to report that I honestly asked myself if I had to could I have gone for another 6? The answer was definitely yes, altho it would have been a challenge, but then, that's the spirit of the marathon! So, I'm feelin pretty encouraged:D. This will be my fourth marathon :D
Still nothin to compare with SuperCarole, but then I got started late in life.

Wendy- Nice choice to go with TNT and the Jersey marathon!! Very wise decision IMHO for your first!!!!!

No time for other personals today:(:(:( So sorry!!!

I'll try to be better.....

tata

hiya

Howdy Ya’ll!

Been fiddling around with the nutrition software so gotta be quick here to get the workouts in… Some more 4D’s to equal out the DOMS…and a boring dreadmill easy run…Saturday I’ll be takin’ to the streets again…lol

Gloria – Yah, a run should loosen things up for ya….and maybe a good stretch! I LOL’d re: your comment, the snow and the teacher’s lounge…too funny.

Cathy – Yes, did good yesterday (just said, “NO” to choco covered espresso beans when shoved right under my nose) and am headed for another good day. I re-upped the nutrition membership, so I gots big brother watching over me selves..lol. Hey, cool, good idea to run right after school and that way it is done and outta the way before you get home. Is it a nice area to run in? hilly?..lol…Any good deals on flights yet? (cheesin’ big and batting eyelashes)…

Wendi – chyeah, stalls outta be pretty fun with chest DOMS. Have you gotten to the MD yet for that titer? Hmmmm??? (tapping foot, crossing arms) Wow, wedding bells in the near future? lol

Wendy – Depending on what level you’re at with running an average beginner marathon base is 25 – 30 miles I believe. But some peeps start out (like with TNT) with less of a base. I was going to suggest visiting Hal Higdon’s site ( www.halhigdon.com ) or Runner’s World to get some ideas and Hal has lots of info about bases etc depending on the levels. Also, a great book I used when I started out running is “Running for Women” by Claire Kowalchik. (I would send you my copy but I already gave it away to that lil’ gal from Binghampton (SAIA) that used to be on the Cheetah forums). Anyhoo, the local library usually has it as well. I understand wanting a break, but IMO, if you’re looking at a Marathon for Spring, you won’t want to break for too long…good luck!

Carole – LOL how many dinners? I think she meant if the massageees (is that a word, teach?) wanted to pitch in and buy A dinner…lol. And then I said ya maybe a few Starbuck’s too. Yes, easy on the runnin’ this week and using dreadmill for the wimpy miles. But I can’t wait to get out to the streets on Saturday! Have fun with pyramiding! I love pyramids…

Christine – Kettle what? Huh? LMAO! Yeah, keep it up, sista! I’ll blame you for the sudden population of Kettlebells when DH asks WTF are these? lol…..I don’t have the sneaky shipping options like you…lol….everybody and their Uncle sees my UPS delivered packages before I get home…enjoy the rest day – woah too hard for me to avoid guacamole and chips in a mexican rest!

Linda –Sounds like you’re on your way to a great marathon. Great you include the core work too as that area is going to help you in the later miles. I wish we could be there to cheer you on, but you KNOW we’ll all be here cheerin ya and in our hearts…You go, girl!

Judy – Hope DS leg heals soon! My DS has a nice looking bruise on the side of his thigh from the hit he took that flipped him Friday night. But it is improving and the swelling is gone now. Great job on the Itreads! and yoga. I’m tellin’ ya, you’re the Yoga inspiration lady…BTW, going to try the marinara lasagna this weekend…yummo

Jackie – LOL re: the USPS and stuff in the box without a stamp…too funny! Hope you are able to connect with the neighbor for running. Hey, check out Helen Klein ( http://www.rrca.org/news/index.php?article=2136 )sometime and none of us will ever say we’re too old for running – that lady is my hero – she is one bad mamma jamma! LOL…

Shelly – Great job on your long run! And to feel like 6 more would be a piece o cake is a very good sign. You go girl!

Ok, as usual it has taken me forever to do personals and am now encroaching into my workout time…sheesh…

later taters!:D

POSH

Hey Girls.

Quickie post before I leave to pick up DS from school. From there it's off to the doc so they can check out a cough he's had for about a week. When this happened last year he had the start of pneumonia and I thought it was nothing! Better to be safe then sorry!!!

After work I ran 3.30 miles with Grace. Felt good. My knees felt a little wierd at first but then I was fine. No pain at all. :)

Thanks for all of the feedback on the base mileage.

Posh, I actually have that book you mentioned. I never even thought to look in it. I forgot about it! I better re-read the marathon chapter now!:)

K, that's all I have time for right now but I'll get the personals done at some point. You girls know I'm good for it!:D

Later Babes!:)

Judy – Thanks for the good eye exam wishes! It went okay. No glaucoma : ) But my prescription did change (which I knew anyway) :) Good job on your run and Yogalates!

Jackie – Good job on the run and Slo Mo!

Shelly – Great job on your 20 miler and great pace! That’s right! That is the spirit of the marathon! Good job!

Posh – Thank you for saying that about me being ready for the marathon! I do wish you guys could be there, too….but as long as you guys are with me in spirit, cheering me on….that will work :)

Well, I am back at work. My exam went well. My astigmatism has gotten worse, as well as my bifocal….but at least there is not glaucoma! My sis has it and my mom had it. The only thing is...now I can't see because of them dilating my eyes! :(

Cathy – By the way….how is your eye???

Gotta get some work done!

Linda

Afternoon, cheetahs!

Quick break for me before resuming work. It’s really gotten windy out there, so I think I’ll welcome the ol’ DM tonight. J

Wendi—no new dental problems (other than a hefty bill). I had the temporary crown put on from the root canal I had…I do enjoy WP. J I’d gotten away from it during the taper, so I bet it’s going to make my poor legs scream! *lol* I’m glad to hear you feeling so much better. Did you go through with the titer, anyway?

Wendy—When I initially started running, I gobbled up everything I could get my hands on. I’m sure you want to do the same for the marathon, given how fired up you are to run one ASAP. There truly is so much invaluable information out there. Of course, if you do TnT, they will take the guesswork out of it for you, but if you don’t, I would browse the different plans and determine which is best and most realistic for you. I will say, if you have a time goal in mind (and I would imagine you do), I would not scale back to one day a week but rather build up from where you are now. JMO.

Carole—I want to have your weight loss genes! 'Course, I might have lost if I had been more disciplined with my eating instead of eating everything in sight. :) Baggin’ up at you wondering how many dinners Posh’s MT can eat in a weekend. J

Christine—I’ll ride the bike, sure. J Can’t wait to see Jimmy’s costume. I would probably run the neighborhoods—I’m not real fond of repetitive loops. But run with the kids? They just might be out to bury the ol’ teach. *lol* Mmm, now I want Chinese *and* Mexican. Can you tell I’m back to dieting?

Linda—I understand the concern about not wanting to screw up! I peeked at Higdon and Galloway’s plans and bounced things off Carole, Posh, & Shelly to make sure I was on track. Like I've said, I wish I hadn’t let the u/b weights lapse, but overall, what I did worked for me. I am sure you'll do fine! If you were running the full 26 in training as your friend Patty originally suggested, I think it might have been a little dangerous. But you’ve done great and trained smart! How’d it go at the eye appt.? You mean, my double vision situation? I have tried to go with the contacts a few times as the surgeon directed. I find it disorienting. Follow-up visit with him is early next month. Thanks for asking.

Judy—there *is* a track at school, but I’m not much of a loop runner. J As of now, I do still plan to go down to DC for the MCM. Figuring out logistics of travel…That is so sweet of DD to do for her friend. Wow, what a bittersweet day that will be for her. Perhaps DD could take a pink rubber breast cancer bracelet and write her friend’s mom’s name and/or a memorial message on it, or something along those lines…Oh, I love pigeon. Isn’t that a great pose?

Jackie—is the 10 miler a training run or another race?... That is cute about DBF and the hiccups…I was amazed by a gentleman in Spirit of the Marathon—he was 65 when he ran his first marathon!

Shelly—20 miles @ 10:00 pace!!! You go on wit your bad self! J

Posh—OK, now I’ve got the Doobie Brothers stuck in my head. *lol* Great job resisting the espresso beans!...I think it’s pretty flat out there, but it is relatively nice. I’m going to ask some fellow runners for suggestions. I am supposed to get fare updates through Farecast, but so far, I think I haven’t…I cannot book just yet, anyway. That airfare just went to my mouth. *lol*

OK, gotta get back to work here! That wasn't that quick of a break. :)Have a great night!

Cathy....

I so love the hat!!!! You know after leaving Chicago I kinda regretted not having any time to get something "Chicago"....Now I have something!!! And every flavor of Enlyten. I had an amazing time running with you and you are such a sweetie to do this...:D

Be back with personals...

Carole aka my coach!!

You are so welcome! It meant so much that you, Christine, and Posh traveled so far to join me for my first marathon. I really can't put into words how grateful I am. It was just an absolutely awesome weekend w/ treasured friends. All the thanks goes to you. :) :) :)

And hey, I ate up all your Enlytens, so I owed ya! :p

Christine...I appreciate the Raider cheers...you have no idea how frustrating it is knowing they will continue to loose unless they get a new owner!! I did not watch the Pats last night. I do hope Cassel gets more consistent too, he was a mess in the game we watched in Chicago. Yes, enjoying the nice weather, it was supposed to be in the high 80's today, but the wind is keeping it in the 70's. Sounds like you are doing well with your eating. Enjoy your rest day.

Linda...thank you for the nice compliment!! I think you will do great on your 1st mary (you surely don't need 12 under your belt). You have trained well. I also see more of them in your future...:D...My oldest sis just ran her mouth off and would not shut the hell up!! I sat on my hands so I would not SLAP her!! Now you see why I avoided the shower. I might have been arrested! WHAT? Patty wanted to run 26 in training...

Judy...you are too cute taking notes. Might there be a marathon in your future?? Sounds like a fun iTread. Now that I finally got an iPod (shuffle) I am tempted to do some iTreads outside with it...:)

Jackie...I know in the last few years I have made that same statement about being too old for running. I feel pretty good now though without injuries. And "yes" 49 is still young...:D..Good job with iTread and Slo Mo Back. I might have to pull that one out soon...

Shelly...Hey! A 20 mile run at a 10 min pace is great!! Funny you say that about thinking could you go 6 more. At 15 last week Karen commented on if we could run 11 more...:)...OF course we can!

Posh...I knew what your MT meant about the dinner, I was just teasing...:D...I did the pyramid style of weight lifting before Cathe's pyramids came out. I always got great results with that type of lifting. Yep Helen Klein is awesome and I saw her once at a run...:)

Cathy..I must say my weight loss genes had been in hibernation for a couple of years!! But for most, marathon training can make you very hungry.
