:::CHEETAHS::TUESDAY:::

Good Evening Cheetahs!

So the doc's office actually took us lickety split today! We were in and out of there in 30 minutes which is usually unheard of! Good news: he doesn't have pneumonia. Bad news: He has bronchitis instead. Oh joy! LOL No school tmrw which means no gym (centergy class) for me. Oh well. I still have Legs n Glutes on tap though so I won't be resting! LOL

Linda: Sorry you can't see. I've never been through that but I've heard people complain about it. Hope it wears off soon.

Posh: I don't plan to take a long break from running. It'll probably only be for the 4 weeks it takes me to complete the rotation I just started. After that I'll start picking it up again. I just need a change of pace for a little while.

Shelly: So you think you can complete a marathon at a 10 minute/mile pace? You rock!!! I couldn't even do the 18 at that pace! I can do 10 miles at that pace though so I guess I'm doin' alright. LOL So what do you think? Will you be joining me for the NJ marathon or will I see you in the crowd cheering me on in the last 6 miles when I all I wanna do is die? :p

Jackie: Wow, I haven't pulled out Amy's Slo Mo in ages. Only did each work out once actually since I've had it. Perhaps I'll have to consider giving it a go again once I finish the rotation I am doing now. I recall the leg work being killer!

Christine: IA the bells are awesome for lower body. That reminds me, I have a new bell vid I've never tried!

Carole: So did you enjoy your version of PLB legs? I have to do PUB as produced and PLB floor work in a few days. I have a feeling I am going to sore for 4 weeks straight with this rotation! I am sore from MM y'day and have L&G tmrw! So how is John? Is he still in rehab? I hope he's recovering well.

Judy: There are a few foundations that support runners for charity. Do some research, I'm sure you'll find something in your area. I recently heard of one that raises money for sick kids. I think it's called Team Hole in the Wall or something like that. It's an odd name I know. Not sure if it's focus i cancer or not but I know it's all about kids. I think that would be a great one if they are local to you.

Cathy: Thanks for your thoughts. TNT will not start with any support until atleast January I think so I am on my own until then. I will re-read the marathon portion of the one book I have. I also have several old issues of RW that I can page through for info. I am down playing the running for a month simply because I fear if I don't change my focus for a little while that I'll lose motivation and I don't want that to happen. Once I am done with this rotation I will increase my running again. Time goal for a marathon? Simply to finish before the 6 hour time limit is up. :)

Okay, I'm all caught up. I started this post about 2 hours but dinner got in the way of finishing it in any kind of timely manner. LOL

Gotta go pick up DS' med. I've decided to nix yoga class tonightl. I will take Centergy on Saturday morning instead.

BBL!

Good evening ladies!

Wooh, boy, do I *ever* now understand the "D" in DOMS:eek:. I think yesterday's run finally showed up today while I was on the sixth (and last) horse...oh, man:confused:! I still want to go for a run tomorrow morning, weather permitting (snow???). Maybe that will help loosen things up a little. If I can't run I guess I'll throw together an easy(ish) step workout. Have to decide that in the morning.

Let me catch up with my girls while I've got the chili goin' on the stove:D...

Wendy - Glad you got some quality zzzzzzzzs last night! I'd say you were a little overdue for some down time. Oh gosh, I hope Joey has nothing but a stubborn cold...sending {{{VIBES}}} on to the little fella! That's great news that you won't have to raise quite as much money for your mary. I'm so excited that you've decided to go for it!!! Glad you had a good run and the knees are back in form. I can't wait to go back to that restaurant...OMG!!! I figured there was only one way to find out if I liked it or not and that buffet did seem like a "safe" way to try it out. I was able to catch DSO just as he was about to pop a whole red chile pepper in his mouth:eek::eek:...he didn't know what it was lol!

Carole - Aww, Cathy *is* the greatest, isn't she:D!!!! Grrr, sorry about the run-in with sis...well done "restraining" yourself;)! I laughed with DSO yesterday that, if I didn't have one seriously territorial male cat already I may have come home with two new additions yesterday LOL. I couldn't stop thinking about both of them today. Hope you enjoyed your workout today.

Christine - Hope you enjoyed your rest day. Mmmmmm, mexican, yum! Glad you had a good time last night. Awww, I can't wait to see what costume you come up with for Jimmy...even if he doesn't;). I kept saying to DSO yesterday "where's Christine when I need her:p?" I needed my resident expert. I absolutely LOVED the eggplant mutter masala, chicken vindaloo, fish curry, dal, and cabbage thoran(?). Unfortunately, the guys finished up yesterday:(...would have been nice, though.

Linda - Fantastic workout you put together this morning! Glad to hear that, overall, your appt well and there is no glaucoma...that must be a relief. Where is your mary again? Um, I found my own "Bare Naked Granola"...as in, something I will NEVER, EVER, buy again cuz I ate the entire thing today:eek::mad::confused:. Drum roll, please....Nature's Path Flax Plus Pumpkin Raisin Crunch. Yeeeeup, the entire box:mad::eek:. At least I didn't eat anything else today. Ended up eating my lunch salad for dinner and called it quits from there.

Judy - Oh, how sad for DD:(. My thoughts go out to her. How difficult that must have been. Fantastic run this morning! WTG on those hills! Oh yeah, love pigeon pose:)...ahhhhh. I couldn't keep but think about those two sweeties all day. I hope they're okay!

Jackie - Great workout this morning! I hope you're able to hook up with your new training partner for your run Sat! Heehee, stalls weren't too bad, it was my legs that started to give me grief, lol. I actually DO like it a little spicy, but not *insanely* spicy. I just don't understand where the thrill is in destroying all of your taste buds just for the "joy" of it. I'd rather be able to still *taste* my yummy food. Had to LOL about the hiccups though:p.

Shelly - Wow, lady, I can't imagine how you're able to get it all in:eek:...amazing! WTG on the rocket fast 20 miler....HOLY SHMOLY!!!!! Not much else to say but that LOL!

Posh - LOL about having to equal out the DOMS:p:D...superb logic! Glad you'll be able to get back out there on the asphalt this weekend. Ahem, I will have you know that I DID manage to get in there this afternoon for that test, missy! Well, the bells have been in the works for a bit now. There have been family "issues" and whatnot that needed to be sussed out first. All in good time, though:).

Cathy - Can't blame you for opting for the DM tonight...the wind is reaaaaalllllly gusting here. Can't wait hear how the legs are feelin' tomorrow. Uggh, sorry about the bill:confused: but relieved to hear that it's nothing "new". Yup, I got my arse in there this afternoon...will get the results in a few days. I hope your follow up exam will give you some answers. LOL about the kids wantin' to bury the teach:p.

Um, sorry again for the novel:eek:. I'm going to go put that chili in the fridge, dump myself into bed and look forward to a great TBD workout in the morning. Have a great night ladies!

Good evening Cheetahs!

Shelly - You do have a lot on your plate. Always good when you just stop in to say hi. Good job on the 20 miles and at a good pace too.

Posh - How was the workout? Thanks for sharing the article! That is on awesome woman. I like the comment I would rather wear out than to rust out. She is now my hero. ITA, she is one bad mamma jamma.

Linda - Glad the eye exam went well. I need to get in for my annual exam. Never had my eyes dilated though.

Cathy - I'm just doing a 10 mile training run Saturday. Anybody that can run a marathon after age 55 is doing great in my book. Heck, anybody that can run a marathon is doing great.

Carole - Glad you're feeling good now with no injuries in sight. Guess we just need to recognize when to back off and we'll be ok.

Wendy - Glad Joey doesn't have pneumonia but sorry about the bronchitis. Hope he feels better soon. Plan on doing Slo Mo legs tomorrow.

Wendi - Oh, those sore muscles! Hope you can get a run in tomorrow. I can't eat spicy either. I don't want to have to eat something and take a sip of water after every bite. Guess I'm just not adventurous. Besides it would cause a hot flash. :D

DWTS is on. Gotta run. Talk to you tomorrow.

Oh gosh! I just finished with the notebooks now, so I'm here to own up to the fact that the DM is no longer happenin' tonight. It's a bit too late. But well, it had to get done. Tomorrow night, I'll need to finalize our field trip plans and create an assessment, but fingers are crossed I can manage to double up somehow.

Wendy :: poor little guy! I hope the bronchitis clears quickly. Nice that you were able to get in & outta there like that...BTW, I don't believe for a second that you won't have a time goal. *lol* We know you too well. :)

Wendi :: so, does the "D" stand for "deadly?"...I can definitely understand how you housed a whole box of Nature's Path. Love their cereals! The legs will be feelin' fine tomorrow morning. The fingers (and brain) did all the workin' tonight. :) Fingers are crossed it's not a relapse!

Jackie :: can't believe I have not been up on DWTS this season. Even with Maks back! IA, having now experienced one myself, I have even MORE respect for the distance, but I am just really wowed by someone who would attempt the first as a senior. That is just awe-inspiring!

Well, off to grab some shut-eye, or I will be a low-functioning cheetah in the AM.
