Morning, cheetahs :)

I dozed off on the couch and slept right through YogaX - oops! That's OK. Yesterday will just be my rest day for the week. Today will be CST + cardio.

Not too many personals to catch up with from last night...

Christine :: thanks for posting the recipes - both look tasty! I'd LOVE it if this virus led to a 15 lb. drop! *lol*

Jess :: nope, actually, I'm the type of person who doesn't usually lose my appetite or any weight when I'm sick. But yes, I'm sure it will return to normal soon (unfortunately) *lol*...YogaX is not my favorite. I find the first 45 minutes physically challenging but too repetitive. I prefer more varied poses. But you may love it. I'm sure you'll dig the X overall.

OK, have a great day & workouts, everyone! I'll be back later to see what's up.

-Cathy :)

Good morning ladies,

today's workout was supposed to be kickboxing, however since i still have DOMS from sunday's workout i am thinking maybe a run today.

susan & christine- we have a 24 hr cancellation policy. so if someone doesn't show or call within that time i still charge them. however yesterday's client was a new one so we give them one chance before adhering to the policy. btw..the gym is only 5 mins away!

kristi- thanks for the update. i am going to buy happy feet today. ds # 1 is having his first sleepover/playdate this weekend, so i am thinking they will love watching that movie. i got some kind of inexpensive bike from target. ntohing too fancy. i think biking will be a fun thing to do with the family.

wendy- good luck with getting your taxes done.

Have a great day and enjoy your workouts ladies!

ttyl...:)

Good Morning Cheetahs!:)

It's not a good morning for *THIS* cheetah...I am up waaaay too early. I went to bed about 2 hours past my bedtime and am now up about an hour before the alarm clock would go off!:-( I am tired but I had a restless night's sleep (kept waking up very thirsty) and just couldn't deal with it anymore. I think I caught a bug...I can feel something *evil* going on in my throat...it's getting dry and scratchy and I have to work in "germ central" almost all week...Grrrrrrr!x( My DH has Airborne but he holds it hostage in his car so he can take it work. I'll have to make him give it up today! LOL

I have the Leg Blast Premix and a run on tap for today...I have no idea if I will be capable of doing both considering I'm tired and it will only get worse as the day goes on....I considered attacking the leg work right NOW but I just haven't been up long enough and I won't have time if I don't start *NOW*! I am bringing my stuff to run right after my shift is over so unless Joey is uber-cranky, I know that will get that done atleast...

Oh and I'm signing up for another running class. It's the 3rd one. My running friend who I met part way through the first set of classes is going to do it with me. I am looking forward to it-it starts in April and goes for 8 weeks. It'll be a nice way to get back into outdoor running since I wimped out of it this winter! LOL

Okay, I've babbled long enough...time for personals...I'll be back!:)

Christine...Sorry you slept through your work out y'day. Hope today is better for you. So why are you rotationless girl? Can't decide what to do these days? I have a plan post X but that doesn't mean I will stick to it!:7 :7 :7

Susan...I will definately do another X rotation but not too soon. It wore me out. I need several months to recup first. I've never lifted heavy for this long w/o a break and I feel it!}( Gld you had a fun weekend with your hubby!

Jackie...Lucky you-an accountant for a BF!}(

Kristi...Having to estimate taxes really stinks. We are getting a *NICE* return back this year! We are very happy!:) I have to go shopping for clothes for DS too and will probably hit Kohl's. I LOVE that store!

Cathy...Have fun with doubles. I considered that but didn't want to commit myself to 2 workouts per day. I actually am glad I kept the cardio down to 3 days per week. I think my body needed the change. Hopefully doubles works for you!!!

Hello to everyone else!!! :+

Good morning all:

Cathy - Sorry you fell asleep before your workout, but I found it funny because I've done the same thing before and couldn't believe. Obviously, you needed the rest.:) How are you liking the X???

Wendy - I hope you are feeling better. At least you are aware of something creepin' up on you so you can stand up to it full force and hopefully it won't be a full blown illness.

Last night I did had a great class, in my mind anyway LOL :7 ;-) I powered through all the routines that came to my mind and didn't do them too long so they got bored, usually two or threes times through and then on to the next one }( I have some DOMS all over my mind, so I'm guessing the ladies at class last night do, too. }(

Tonight I will be going for a run after work and hopefully have time for B&C X. I think it's suppose to be in the 40's, but windy so it might be a challenge.

OK - I've babbled enough for now.

Take care,
Marcia.

Hello Cheetahs~

Another day is here. Last evening, we sat with our friend, her brother and SIL, (who are also close friends of ours) Since she is having no calling hours, there have been many, many visitors to comfort her. We were telling stories about our friend, and even got everyone laughing, which is really good medicine for all of us.

Today my Nina is finally having her teeth implant surgery after being postponed. We should be there for two hours and then home. Not sure when I'll get a WO in.

Susan~ I read that you had an awesome 4.8 mile 60" walk. I agree it is really hi intensity with out the impact. I did a couple of hilly walks of 60" and about 4.5 miles. And my HR was averaging in the 160s. My goal was to keep the strides per minute in the 175 range and use the Chi focuses.

Cathy~ Sorry about the timing of that nasty GI virus. At least you have a good attitude about loosing a few pounds. I hope you are not nauseaus today.

Jes~ biking sounds like a fun way to get around the run issues! Poor Hannah and thunder!

Kristi~ I agree about not putting DS in good clothes to play! Save the good clothes for special occasions

Hi to all the rest of you lovely ladies~~~ And thank you for your condolences and prayers

Carole~ I didn't see anything about your kitty Is there any news?

Judy "Likes2bfit"

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Judy - I just went back and read the posts from the last day or so, I am sooooo sorry to hear about your friend. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this terrible time.

Good luck with Nina and the surgery I hope all goes well.

Hang in there and TAKE CARE,
Marcia.

Good morning cheetahs! Today is a 4 miler and hopefully a very quick trip to the store to buy Happy Feet for DS.

Yesterday right before I left work I received some bad news. My aunt passed away. She was 65 and died from a viral infection in her lungs. It was very sudden and supposedly a very rare illness. I plan to take 1/2 day off for the visitation and then a whole day off for the funeral whenever the arrangements are made. I probably won't be around much this week. So far I don't think my work will let me take funeral leave for it due to her not being "immediate family".

Cathy - My company occassionally does nice things for its employees. Okay mostly the sales executives, but yesterday was an exception. They asked me to go, however since my Office Manager would have to stay and she was swamped with work, I decided to help her out instead. I did have another motive though. Usually my boss will give us a day off since we stay in the office while they are having fun. I would rather have a day to myself than to spend with my coworkers. However, now it seems like my "free day" will be for my aunt's funeral.

Christine - Thanks for the recipes! They sound delicious.

Good morning cheetahs! I'm finishing up work now but after this I have a 6 night stretch off:7 And I get to run a race (10k) this weekend... my first since my marathon... so I'm doin the happy dance,
just a tired one right now;-) After my nap this morning I'll be doing a good challenging leg circuit, probably a DM premix. I couldn't fit in my upper body work yesterday (but I managed a great tempo run) so today will be the PP double upper body. Later I'll climb on the ol EXT for a 40 minute session :7

Cathy- I'd say you definitely needed a good total rest day! Hope you're feeling more energized today. I guess you are since you're contemplating a cardio workout in addition to CST, I hope the cardio is a light one anyway.

Marcia- Sounds like you gave your step class a helluva good workout!
Hope you can manage your run today. I have a very hard time getting up the motivation when it's windy!

Judy- Nice to hear from you! We've all been very concerned over your recent loss. It sounds like you and your DH are coping pretty well and I'm glad you had some therapeutic memory sharing and laughs.
Hope all goes well with your DD's oral surgery today.

Gayle- I really like your concept of the staged weight loss goals!

Wendy- Congratulations on sticking to it with the X rotation! Staying with a rotation for a month is definitely beyond my capabilities;-) . Your turn with the killer leg blast premix today?
I definitely consider that one a cardio as well as a strength workout.

Jackie- My tempo run yesterday was a 10-10-10 format with a 5 minute warm up light run, then 10 minutes at a 8:00 pace, 10 minutes 7:30 pace, 10 at 8:00 pace, then 5 minute cool down. I have other variations of tempo runs I do also. I'm always switching things up since I get bored so easily;-)

Susan- Sounds like you had a great getaway weekend! It's also great you got in such an intense power walk without back pain :7 :7
Sorry your poor DD sprained her ankle! How is she today?

Christine- Our spinning cheetah:7 Have you ever considered competing in a duathlon- biking and running? I bet you'd be awesome! Thanks for the review of iRow..... no rap music!? I'm sold!

Time to get back to work here, it's been a long and busy night but it's just about over :7

later

ShellyC

Hi Kristi- posting at the same time! I'm so sorry to hear that your Aunt passed away unexpectedly:-( That's always tough when there is no
"preparation" or warning. I hope she didn't suffer too much!
My best wishes for you and I hope you have a good therapeutic 4 mile run today!

ShellyC

Good morning, cheetahs chicks!

Some personals first:::

Christine-THANKS for the recipes. I LOVE to cook and I’m always looking for new stuff to try out. My friends really like it too, since I’m always passing containers of samples off to them! LOL

SunnyD-so, are you affiliated with a specific gym or company??? As for the bike, I think it’s a great way to have fun with the kids, get them involved in physical activity, and do it together! Good purchase!

Wendy-I have a friend who babysits at our YMCA and everytime she finishes her shift, she washes her hands and sprays Lysol in the air and lets it fall on her! Funny to see, but it helps her! As for your run….I bet it wakes you right up! Try to get some rest later on today!

Marcia-enjoy the run. Get it behind you so it pushes you! LOL So….still hooked on X now that you’re the proud owner?

Judy-I hope your friend takes comfort in all the company and visitors. Teeth implant? That sounds so painful to me!!!

Carole-thanks for that article yesterday. Interesting!!!

Kristi-sorry to hear about your Aunt. WOW. HUGS!!!!!

Shelly-6 days in a ROW? Good for you! Let us know what leg circuit you decide on!!!

Ok....as for me. Up early again this morning. I really feel zoned in right now. My eating (which is my biggest challenge) is on point too. That makes a HUGE difference for me. This morning was a 6 mile run follwed by Leaner Legs. I upped my weight on the barbell to 40 lbs and it felt great. I'm sporting some DOMS from yesterday's CTX upper body, but not too bad.

I was looking at the Cheetah race schedule that we put together and it looks like some of us had some races/runs planned in March. I know mine has changed. Anybody besides Shelly doing any runs this month???

Gayle

Good morning everyone! Work is getting so busy, lately! I guess it is the onset of spring and summer! But it digs into my checkin time
x(

Cathy - I am so sorry you were sick on your ski trip! That is aweful! That is one nasty virus, too! Glad you are on the road to recovery!

Judy - I am glad that you got to share stories about your dear friend and laugh about some things. I believe that truly helps people get through the grieving process. I hope everyone involved is doing okay....or should I say...I hope you guys are doing as well as you could be doing, under the circumstances.

Sunny - Enjoy the run (or kickbox ...if you decide to do that one ;-) ) That would really be aggravating to have a client cancel at the very last minute, to say the least!

Wendy - Hope you don't get sick! Go get that AirBorne out of DH's car! My DH uses it all the time, too. I use it every now and then...if I feel something coming on, I use it. Hope you get some rest! I hate it when I can't get all the sleep I need...I am a BEAR!

Marcia - That sounds like a great class! Good job! Enjoy your run and B&C! Hope your weather allows for it!

Kristi - Enjoy your 4-miler! That movie sounds soo cute and I am sure the boys will love watching it at the sleepover! My little 4 y/o grandaughter loved it! I would actually like to see it! :+

Shelly - Wow! 6 nights off! You definitely deserve it! Enjoy your EXT and DM legs! I wish there was a race around close that I could run soon!

Carole - I hope you have found your kitty! I hope everything is okay with her (or him). It is so hard when something happens to a pet! I really liked Freestyle for legs, too. I may start doing that again, soon!

Susan - I am glad you and DH had a great get-away! It sounds great and relaxing! I love workout together with my DH...and then eat leisurly and be able to talk! Ahh..heaven!

This morning I ran 5.25 miles, did GS BS&B and did Last Minute Abs (from HHA).

Hi to everyone! I will BBL after I get a little work done ;-)

Linda

Cathy ~ Did you send me your virus???? OH man, I woke up at 1AM w/ the worst tummy ache & ended up in the bathroom for an hour!!! I don't know what happened, but that was miserable!! I didn't sleep well after that. So far so good, I kept down a WW English muffin & half a cup of coffee (I couldn't even finish my coffee!! ) I don't know if it was dinner last night, I made Tilapia & shrimp stir fry. But everyone else had it & they were fine so I don't know?? I'd like to think I'm a good cook & wouldn't give anyone food poisoning!! :7

I still feel kinda weak this morning, I won't be going to the Y. (my dh told me I'd better not try to do anything & rest up!) We're supposed to have my best friend & her dh out for dinner, I'll wait til noon to see if it was a quick bug. I hate to cancel, we planned this a while back.

OK, off to snuggle w/ Allison & then play Pretty Pretty Princess. ;-) I got Kiersten the game for her bday & it's a new favorite. I think I'll do some pilates later, I should be up for that at least. Good thing I got in a good workout y'day!

I'll check in later!

Kristi - I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Gayle - I am MORE addicted to the X now that I'm a VERY PROUD OWNER.;-) I stick in ARX all the time. Now that I've added running in for the cardio it fits perfectly for me. :)

Linda - Great job on your run!

Marcia.

Gayle - Hi there! Wow..it does sound like you are really on track! I wish I could get my eating on track! I eat too much junk ;( The closest race I can find seems to be in June. It is a 1/2. I would love to find something sooner! I really like CTX Upper Body. I need to do that soon! I remember it always gave me DOMS!

Christine - I second Gayle's thanks on the recipes! They looked yummy! I agree about spending a lot less time cooking and planning meals if you do it on Sunday and actually plan! I know my eating would be a LOT more under control if I did that!

BBL!

Linda

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I am not how you go about preventing something like the Noro virus? I am glad you are feeling better. Enjoy CST & cardio.

Jackie..I did like Barry better yesterday! The iTri Triple S sounds like a fun one.

Susan..glad you had such a nice weekend with your DH. How is DS's ankle today? Good job with B&G. Sorry you still get uncomfortable with your back...I know the feeling. Thanks for your thoughts, and it is just the not knowing for my Cat is the worst...

Sunny...I know what you mean about cancelers (I am a manicurist)...but its the "no shows" that I don't like much...

Wendy..Sorry about the yukky throat. I hope you are not coming down with something. The few times I have had a rough sleeping night I always try and get in a workout quickly, after coffee! Then later in the day I crash..Another running class?...that is great!! BBC is tough. I like Tony better than Barry, but so far I enjoy BBC. Kinda like P90X for me but more focused on endurance. And some different exercises which I always like.

Marcia...have a food run and P90X workout.

Judy...I do agree with remembering stories and laughing when it comes to special people we have lost. Good for the soul. I hope Ninas implant appt goes smoothly today. No news about my Cat. I just miss seeing him...

Shelly...a 10K this weekend!!! Yippee! I bet you will do awesome...:)..Have fun with PP upper and the EXT workout.

Gayle....good job on getting your eating on track. That makes you feel so much better. Tough workout...

Linda...thanks for your thoughts. I do think my Cat is gone...Good job with the run and GS workout.

Christine...glad you enjoyed my typo...:)...I about died laughing when I saw it...I am usually good at previewing before I post!!! Great recipes! Thanks for posting those. I might be able to sub a bit with them..:).. I don't think I'll find my Cat. As it is raining today I feel if he were still alive, he would be at the back door like usual...:(

Kristi...thanks. So sorry about your Aunt's passing, my sympathies are with your family. I appreciate you posting those links for freestyle for Jackie. Did you ever try it?

Jess...good job with LIC. It is a fun one. I am with you wishing I could run more too...

So my thoughts on BBC and Barry....I hate Burpees!! That guy is about as flexible as Gumby! I liked him better yesterday and enjoyed the arm and ab workout. My tri's are a bit sore today. The cardio on this workout is tough and reminds me a bit of PlyoX. I subbed my EXT for the treadmill portion and that went well. Today will be BBB Butt & Leg's with Nadia, and I will probably do my EXT for cardio.

Have a great day...:)

Good morning ladies!

Kristi - Sorry you were disappointed with shopping for yourself but at least you got DS taken care of. Thanks for the links for the Freestyle. Sorry to hear about your aunt. Will keep your family in prayer.

Cathy - I just did 15 minutes on my Bosu while they did the cycle part. I left my Zen plugged into my elliptical and allowed it to play while I did the Bosu. Could have done the elliptical but wanted to change up.

Christine - Thanks for the recipes. They look yummy.

Jess - Glad you enjoyed your workout! Hope you feel better.

Sunny - Enjoy your run!

Wendy - Hope you're not coming down with something. Take care. Maybe you need to go for an easy workout today. Running class sounds like fun.

Marcia - Glad class went well. Bet they appreciate you. Enjoy your run.

Judy - I know your friend appreciates you being there for her. Hope Nina's surgery goes well.

Shelly - Enjoy your days off. Yay for the 10K on Saturday. Have a great workout! Thanks for the tempo run info. I have one that Sarah posted awhile back but was wondering how to change things up a little.

Gayle - Glad you're feeling so good about your workouts and eating. Good workout today!

Linda - Good workout!

Carole - Really like the Arms and Abs workout. Sometimes I think this ab work is useless but then the next day I really feel it. Some of the cardio using the step is a bit much at times and I don't keep the pace that they keep.

I did P90X Shoulders, Chest and Triceps and ARX. This was my first time doing SCT. Boy, does Tony kill you with the push ups. I finally found a push up I couldn't do on my toes - the one armed and the one with the clap. Really have to work on those.

Enjoy your day!

Jackie

Good morning ladies,
It is my birthday today and I am turning 39 years old and do not feel a day over 28. I told my family that I did not want a cake, but a nice Mrs. Fields milk chocolate cookie will do;-) We are going to dinner tonight at my favorite mexican restaurant and then the girls have gifts for me and then we are all going to watch american idol as a family, WOO HOO!!! It will be a great day:)

I am not sore at all from yesterdays super duper power walk and I usually just do upper body on Tuesday but I am going to do Circuit Max instead. I love that workout! I will also add the lying leg work of butts and gutts in there as well.

My DD did sprain her ankle and now has crutches. She is home again today, but will go back to school tomorrow. She is so very physical that I think she will be frustrated in about 2 days with not being able to jump around. This is the first injury that we have had on the trampoline.

Well, I am off to get the kiddies ready for school and I will be back later for personals after my workout.

Cheers!

Susan

Susan - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Enjoy your day and dinner!

SunnyD - I mixed up the dates on when Happy Feet is coming out. It will be coming out March 27th. I'm a week ahead of myself.

Carole - It was my pleasure to give the links to Jackie. I'm glad I was able to help in some small way. Freestyle has always been on my todo list, but unfortunately I've gotten around to trying it. So many things I try and so little time. I always get sidetracked. Last night my DB (the one running the HM with me in April) started talking about "our" running goals after the HM. He is thinking about "us" running a full marathon, possibly St. Judes. LOL I told him I would have to see how the HM went. I'm not sure I would be able to find the time to train for a marathon, but his enthusiasm is so contagious I wanted to say yes. The things I get myself into.

Jackie - You are welcome. I hope you will find the freestyle links helpful. As I was telling Carole, I hope to one day try freestyle, probably after my HM training and maybe before I give P90X a try. It seems like I am planning months of workouts in advance these days.

Shelly - Good luck with your 10K this weekend!
