Forgive me, I don't have time to catch up with y'day's personals right now...I will try to get to that after school...I woke up early to squeeze in Powerstrike 4 bc I couldn't get to it last night...This afternoon, it'll be MM.

cathy- powerstrike and MM, wow! sounds like a good combo:)

wendy- how is joey doing today?

kristi- so far i am loving P90x! it gets your muscles good. i like your idea of one goal at a time. a HM is no small feat. i am throwing in a couple runs a week for the 5k next month.

christine & karen- please add me to the clean eating check-in here. i sooo need encouragement....

today's workout for me is YOGAX. the problem is i can't sit still long enough for yoga. i know i will not be able to do 90 mins. for that reason and time constraints. (i am training 9 clients today) so hopefully i will be able to do 60 mins. we'll see...


i will come back and let you ladies know how i faired with yogaX and more personals.:D
 
Wow, Sunny! Another full day of clients. Good luck squeezing in as much YogaX as you can handle...When I first started taking 90-min. yoga classes, I thought it was a bit much, too, but I think eventually the time seems to go quickly.

Just finished Powerstrike 4 -- not bad but not as tough as I expected. OK, gotta get ready. Personals later, I promise!! It's been really hard to keep up here lately!

Hi everyone, I have my fingers crossed that the P90X package will arrive today and I can get started. Otherwise, not sure what to do for a workout. I'll probably hop on the elliptical.

I canceled my step class last night, it was just too darn cold -10 and that not counting the wind.

Wendy - How is Joey doing this morning?

Sunny - Good luck with YogaX, I'll be right beside you soon ;-) Way to go with 9 clients, that's awesome you are really taking off with this new adventure - CONGRATS!

Cathy - Just checking, but did you get my money yet for the t-shirt?

Good morning! Holy Moly that was quite a gabfest yesterday:eek: :eek:
Sending warm thoughts out to all you northern cheetahs:) Yesterday all I did was the toughcore premix and stretching:7 Feeling ready for a good tough workout today after I get home from work and nap!

Cathy- Now don't you feel guilty about keeping up with EVERY personal!
You're only human there girl! Cut yourself a little slack, okay? You've got a tough workout combo planned for today also!

SunnyD- I never have been able to do ALL of yogaX myself! Seriously though, the really hard intense yoga is pretty much in the first 60 minutes anyway, then it's more stretching. You really are in demand there as a trainer!

Marcia- No step class is worth going out in -10 deg temps! Dont blame you a bit for cancelling. I think you'll really enjoy p90x,
it's quite a change from Cathe. But it's nice that you have a chance to trial it.

Elaine- I know it can be a pain to carry water on your runs but I think you'll find it will make a huge difference in how you feel and how well you recover. I personally like using the fuel belts, they
are quite comfortable.

Wendy- Poor little Joey! No wonder he's been so fussy lately. Those ear infections can be quite uncomfortable. Fortunately he should recover pretty quickly now. You must be exhausted yourself dealing with this. I hope today is better for you and you can enjoy phase 2 now!

That's all the time I have to catch up now :( I should be able to come back later today and say hi to everyone else!

Today will be my favorite workout currently- Drillmax! AND... hopefully today my new elliptical will be delivered... yipppeeee!
I'll be busy breaking it in!!!

Thanks to all for thinking of Joey. He is doing better. He doesn't have fever this morning but he didn't really y'day morning either so we'll see what the afternoon brings. I gave him Tylenol a few mins ago anyway tho to combat the ear issue. I don't have motrin or anything as my doc pushes Tylenol so I never thought to buy anything else. Maybe I will though. :)

Cathy: Good job gettin' up BEFORE the chickens to get PowerStrike in! I *THOUGHT* about doing that to get in y'day's work out today instead of working out last night. That thought didn't last too long! LOL I am okay w/getting up early-usually get up at 6 anyway- but exercising before 7am just doesn't equate in this brain! :p :7

Sunny: Don't feel bad about not doing the entire 90 mins. It IS a lot. I can get through it now but it's no easy feat. I just purchased Baron's Long and Lean. It's less then an hour-PERFECT!:+ Have fun training your clients today! Is it fun? Now that you are doing this do you enjoy it like you thought you would?

Marcia: YIKES! Negative temps stink, don't they? LOL It's cold here but not in the negative! I am keeping my fingers, toes and even eyes (LOL) crossed for you that you will get the X in the mail today!}(

Question for you lovely ladies: The X has lying tricep extensions in both tricep work outs. My left elbow does not like them so up until now all I have been doing to combat this is using SUPER light weight and doing like 20 reps. Do you think doing kickbacks would be a suitable substitute? I want to go heavier but my elbow just won't allow it with the LTE's. :-( If not kickbacks, then what? TIA! :)

Well, it's cardio, legs and abs today! :eek: Should I do Plyo, an IMAX or a DM cardio premix??? I'm torn!LOL For legs I will do the dreaded but OH SO LOVED B&G leg blast premix and then ARX or maybe B&G abs instead. I think I'll get a good work out today, no? ;)

Okay, I'm done with my short story now...I'll be back!:7

ETA: Hey Shelly! You snuck in there on me while I was writing my book!:p Have fun with DM! AWESOME work out! I'm thinking of a cardio premix of that today myself!

Pitstop check in Cheetahs to say Good Morning!

Got in a 4 mile TM run, a mile warm up walk, and a few sets of UB back & Chest & shoulders from PP.

No school again for my kids. So I gotta run to rearrange the day and get to work.

Wendy--glad Joey is feeling better. Next time you're at Target, see what you think of Kids Motrin. We had great luck with it, especially with my older DS. What about those Cross-Body Tricep Dumbell Xtensions from GSC&T as a sub exercise? Also, maybe changing the range of motion a bit might let you target the muscle without aggravating the elbow?

Elaine- I am sorry about the Plantar Fasciitis creeping in. If it is minor perhaps aggressive stretching can nip it... The Finn 40" premix is thorough enough for me.



Christine- I may have to go check out that East Coast Chili recipe in VP. It is 'Chili weather' around here.



Carole - What series are you using this week for UB? I'm still undecided. The last two weeks were GS.

Wendy – Will the exercise Cathe does in PUB the overhead extension aggravate your elbow? That seems to work for me. So Joey had a decent sleep? Great!

Laurie – I was thinking of you when I asked DH if we could get massages. I can not convince him to go for it. x( x( x(

Shelly – What is on tap for today after your rest day?... At what point does a run become long enough where H2O would be a good idea?... Have fun with DM. (I watched it yesterday for inspiration while running on the TM)

Lisa – Are you keeping us all straight yet? We are getting to be a big group :)

Marcia – My friend picked up a copy of the Oxygen Clean Eating Issue for me. I can't wait to look it over.

Jes- I wanted to add a comment to the Freestyle explanation- In addition to being done 4-5 days per week, and light weights, high repetitions are the third characteristic of FT training. There were quite a few threads about this topic here a while back. You may be interested to do a search in the open discussion forum. I tried it for a few months before I started running regularly.

Karen – Is there going to be clean eating check in ? Our ETL check in did not last, although I do try to get close to it. I am just not as radical as Dr. Furehmann.


Susan- Are you enjoying the elliptical?


Sunny- even 30" or 40" of yoga can be helpful. Just ~do what you can~

Well today will be a cozy day, the kids have another school cancellation due to the negative wind chills. But I will not let them ski again.

And for a workout I will do the elliptical and some Cathe UB (but I haven't chosen yet) and abs. I may go look at the new DVD's for UB premixes.

Good Morning. As you know I did Butts and Guts yesterday and today my butt is on fire. Not so much the gut but the butt is in a world of it's own. I have a 5 mile easy run on tap today. I'm not sure how easy this is going to be with my butt on fire.

Judy- I hope we do a clean eating check in. That would be fun. I know the idea was floating around here last week but I don't know what ever came of it. Ouch my rear end is on fire!!!! I just moved and it is one sore puppy.

Wendy- I'm glad Joey is doing better.

ShellyC- I have drillmax sitting here to try out. If it's your favorite I will give it a go next week.

Sunny- Have a good day of workouts with your clients. How exciting your job is. I would love to do that one day.

Barb- Good Morning Barb. Another day with the kids at home. I bet they are soooooo happy to be off again.

Well, good morning to everybody! Another cold day here in PA and another 2 hour delay. I think we’re supposed to get one more cold day before we head back into the 20’s! LOL. I let myself sleep in…I was tired with a capital T. Think Sunday’s race and yesterday’s early morning workout caught up to me. I was going to take a rest day today, but now I’m thinking maybe an upper body. Definitely giving the legs a break today. So, it’s either a DOR or UB weights for me.

Karen-I'm not quite as sore as I'd expected, but I think my butt is in the same world as YOURS! LOL. Good luck on the run. I'm glad today's my schedule 'no run' day! lol (I am, however, sore in the core area.)

SunnyD-I just noticed your quote in your signature line. I’ve read a bunch of Zig Ziglar and always get great motivation from him! Enjoy Yoga X!

Cathy-wow on the double workouts. I’ve got MM on tap for tomorrow! And I have problems keeping up with all of our chatting….most days! lol

Marcia-I’m excited for your package as well. This week…keep your fingers and toes crossed! LOL

Shelly-a new toy. How fun is that? And DM is an awesome workout. One of my faves too!

Wendy-what a workout you have on tap today! I vote for Imax 3, B&G premix and B&G bonus abs. Just my 2 pennies! As for the triceps lying extensions….I agree with Barb, the cross body extensions. Or how about a sitting tricep overhead extension (the one where you hold one dumbbell with both hands and dip in up and down behind your head?

Judy-enjoy your workout. I was thinking the same thing, that I should be checking out the premixes on the new workouts.

Karen- I am sending you healing vibes~~~ for that butt! Mine is just getting better from Saturday's B&G. I don not understand how some people do not get DOMS from B&G.

But then I never had them (DOMS) after L&G for some reason. I guess we all have different weak spots.

G'morning Cheetahs! I woke up feeling great at 6:30! I'll go to the Y day after dropping Allison off at preschool. Another cold day out there!! Some schools around here (not my kids) cancelled y'day because the cold temps!!

Thanks for all of the info on freestyle legs. It sounds like something that might work for me. I'm getting frustrated w/ my thighs/ calves because they get too bulky & I just want them to slim down more! I think once I get back to running regularly again that will help too.

I foam rolled my IT band for a half an hour or so last night & stretched out for a good half an hour too (while watching Heroes, anyone else like that show?). I could feel the tightness, so I hope it helped. Man, my IT band must have been a mess before the marathon & I didn't even realize it.

We are a chatty bunch here, but that's not a bad thing. I'm a chatty girl IRL so I'm sure that shows here! :p

I got my Cheetah shirt y'day Cathy- thank you!!! It looks AWESOME!! My dd's love it because they all love cheetahs!

I know, I don't know why I don't get serious DOMS from B & G or PLB, but GS legs gets me every time?? I need to do the B & G leg blast premix again, thanks for the reminder! }(
 
Wendy ~ Poor Joey!! You know I can relate to kids w/ ear infections. I've gotta give another recommendation for Motrin, I don't even bother w/ Tylenol for fevers because Motrin works MUCH faster. My 8yo used to get really high fevers w/ ear infections, scared me to death! (my dh used to do the same thing when he was little) Motrin would take it down quick.

You're doing so great w/ P90X, and I'm glad you're seeing great results!! WTG!! Can't wait to see pics!! Maybe one of these days you ladies will convince me to try it! }(

Good morning Cheetahs! Today will be a 3.5 mile run. I also plan to stop by the store to pick up the Oxygen magazine everyone keeps talking about. Hopefully I won’t be too late coming back from lunch.

SunnyD – I’m so glad you are enjoying P90X. You are staying really busy with PTing. That is great! Enjoy YogaX. I still have not tried it yet.

Wendy – Sorry DS has an ear infection. My DD had basically one continuous ear infection for 8 months before they finally put in tubes. I second the Children’s Motrin. I love that it lasts 8 hours instead of giving Tylenol every 4. I hope his fever doesn’t return. Regarding lying tricep extensions, I think you could substitute either overhead extensions or kickbacks.

I was glad I did IMax 3 when I did as my cold decided to whap me with that silly putty hammer hard! In the afternoon, I got a fever and my nose ran like a cheetah! :+ <--- the dude w/ the red nose? That's me today totally. So, I'm torn on work. I was born and raised on the East Coast, so I have the mind set that you HAVE to go into the office no matter what. But I also think people who are sick should stay home and not spread the germs. I used to send my employees home - because I didn't want them in the office.

Sorry this is so self centric - but I'm not feeling up to personals right now. Good job on the workouts! Great job on the clients, Sunny - you must be wonderful! Hope everyone has a great day!
