Cathlete
Good morning, cheetahs!! :)

It's back to work today...I'd hoped to wake up super early and knock out my workout BEFORE work since I have dinner plans tonight, but it just didn't happen that way. Oh well...I'll have to make sure I don't linger too long, so I can jet home & squeeze it in before it's too late.

OK, I'm off to catch up with personals from last night. Be right back!

Cathy :)

Wendy :: thanks for the tips/info…I’m sure I can figure out a way to work it in there somehow. I thought you were joking before about the Tony-haters. *lol* I really think when you move, you should come to South Jersey!! Think about it – you could join Cathe’s gym!!! :)

Christine :: Hmmm, that it is a thought…I might have to do two-a-days when Fluidity comes into the picture…One thing I really liked about the workout was having the clock at the bottom of the screen. That rocks!!

Laurie :: deep breaths, deep breaths!! Those kinda days can really bite ~ here’s hoping today goes smoothly. I cracked up about the money tree being pruned…I think mine is down to the roots.

Linda :: *plugs index fingers in ears* la-la-la-la…Not hearing the Barry talk!! Must. Resist. Temptation. Arrrgggggggghhh!…I can’t take it! *lol* I’ve had NO spending willpower of late (as I’m sure is obvious to all). Anyway, I’m really glad to hear that you like Fluidity but have just had time issues fitting it in. It’s recommended 3x a week, right?...Hey, my friend (the one I have left, ha!) and I are considering a trip to Aruba in April...where did you stay? Do you have any recommendations? We are looking at an all-inclusive...

Laura :: I think with those kinds of classes it’s normal to constantly see a mix of old and new faces. You get the regulars who are there all the time, but then you get plenty of people who are going to be more sporadic about their attendance, particularly if it’s part of their gym membership. It could be they have to be flexible with their workouts because of family or work conflicts or maybe they just like to mix it up and don’t want to take the same class all the time. (Look at how often we change things up around here!) Then of course, you have some folks who have great aspirations in January but simply didn’t make the commitment to really stick with it. I wouldn’t take it personally…Have fun with the B&G Blast when you get to it.

Elaine :: I mailed your shirt on Saturday.

Speaking of shirts... LAST CALL FOR THE 2ND ORDER OF CHEETAH SHIRTS.

I have: Laurie (1), Gayle (1), Linda (2), and Thomasina (1-2?) Anyone else? I'd like to place the order by the end of this week.

OK, I think I’m caught up for now…Have a great day, everyone! Bring on the sombreros & cheetah tee pics!

Cathy :)

Good morning ladies,

today is going to be a super duper record setting day for me. I have 14 clients to train (WHOA:eek: ) and i have both boys with me, as school is closed today.

cathy- lucky girl, going to aruba! my sister went there last year and absolutely loved it.

I am hoping to get in a run today...we will see. Keep your fingers crossed for me, lol.

have a great day all, as i am pretty sure i will not have any time to check back in later.

Good morning, Cheetahs:

Sunny - WOW, your personal trainer job is taking off like crazy, CONGRATS and have fun!!

Cathy - I hear ya, I'm back to work at school, too. But, the weather is suppose to be in the high 30's WooHoo-Heat Wave.

Today, I've got Plyometrics tonight for my workout. I'm hoping, if it stays so nice to get a run in, too, before heading home. That would be wonderful, and then I could punch out plyometrics as well. ;-)

My new motto: RESULTS ARE ON THE WAY! }( :) }(

I'm going to catch up on personals and be back.

Marcia.

Good Morning Cheetahs.:)

Cathy, LOL about movin' south and joining Cathe's gym. DH thought about moving down the parkway many a time but I stopped him. All of both of our families live north of where we are now. I am the type that needs to be near everyone or I'll go insane!

Sunny, Man you've got a full work load today! Have fun!

Marcia, A run AND plyo!? You are my hero! }(

BBL ladies.

Hey Ladies, I know today will be a better day, I have a good night sleep to thank for that. Short day at work today, then a 'coffee interview' with a gentleman I've been talking to on and off line. This afternoon will be house cleaning and organizing, I was in the garage looking for a particular novel for my 17 y.o. Elizabeth in a box of books and found 3 more boxes of books. We had some fun last night sorting through them as the Girls hadn't seen them in a few years. I'm off to do KPC this morning, I think I'll flip it and do the kicking/punching first then the drills, just mixing it up a bit.

Cathe, I'm very excited about getting a tee shirt:) Thanks so much for your efforts, you ROCK!!! Thanks for the deep breaths, I'm gettin' zen with it! Seems when you want to sleep in your up, when you want to get up early, you sleep.

Sunny, YOWZAH, you're a busy trainer!!! That's awesome and a huge credit to you, establishing a clientele is one of the biggest hurdles and you are all over that!!!

Marcia, hope your day works out that you can get it all in. Enjoy plyometrics, sounds like a beaut!!

Wendy, I think it's sweet that you want to be close to family, they drive us crazy sometimes but they do keep us sane:)

Hello to all you lovely Cheetahs to follow.

Take Care
Laurie

Hi Cheetahs,
Happy Tuesday!

Race correction: Christine's 12K is on May 20, not May 21.

Laurie—Sorry about your day from hell. I hope Faith’s hives settle down. I wonder what they are from? I have had hives on a few occasion and it is no fun. I had a reaction to antibiotics. It is very cool Cathe answered your post!! It is a great suggestion. I hope the coffee interview is fun/pleasant.

Cathy—I agree that Tony is a hoot. I like the regular-people exercisers, too. I’m glad you are planning an alternative trip with your friend.

Laura—I agree with Cathy’s comments on attendance issues at gym classes. Good for you that you got B&G in.

Linda—you are dedicated to start exercising at 4:30 a.m. I get up early, but it takes me a long time to get going. Probably not so efficient! I like the format you are describing for the BBC workouts.

Sunny—14 clients? Yikes. What will you do with your kids? Is there a daycare at the gym?

Marcia—Love the new motto! I agree with Wendy: run + plyo = Cheetah-hero.

Wendy—you got a lot done yesterday.

I am splitting my workout in half today because of time. I did half of my run, and some freestyle legs. After work I will do the rest of my run & abs.

Hope to be back later for more personals.
have a great day everyone!
-Barb

Greetings Cheetahs :)

Laurie- TG y'day is over for you! How is Faith today?

Hi Cathy- I hope you enjoy your dinner plans

HI to Linda and Laura and Carol and Wendy and Elaine and (Shelly)2!!! :)

Sunny- Wow you have a busy day

Barb- Are you doing freestyle every day?

Yesterday was a rare rest for this cheetah. DS's team did play in the championship game ( they lost) and he invited the team over after. We had a houseful and 10 of them spent the night! I did not get in that workout, but I will today comee he(( or high water...

Any way I am still sore from B&G Leg Blast p'mix and fighting this virus. It wasn't all bad that to have a DOR. What was bad was the sweets that appeared at our house and the chips...

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Happy Fat Tuesday everyone!

Wow, this is an odd place for me to be. It’s a scheduled rest day. I’ve been working out hard for the past 7 days (my last rest day was last Monday), and I am wide awake raring to go. Okay, I have DOMs from head to toe, but I’m still raring to go. Usually rest days are EASY for me to take. But as I want to follow the rest of my schedule, I’ll take the day off. I will probably do some yoga, though – that might be a good thing. Tonight DH is cooking Indian food YUM!!

Cathy - I like the clock, too. It tells you how long you have to torture yourself! Aruba in April? Oh that sounds like a dream!! Glad to see you and your friend are getting along better.

Sunny – 14 clients?! Wow! You’re one busy lady! My fingers are crossed for your run.

Marcia – Sounds like a good workout! Enjoy! And I LOVE your new motto! You go girl!

Wendy – Living so far from family, I understand what you mean. I would love to be closer, but that would mean leaving DH which would kind of defeat the purpose…

Laurie – Enjoy your mixed up KPC and your coffee interview! Sorry yesterday was so rough and I hope Faith is feeling better!

Barb – ½ a run eh? Hey, anything to get the job done. I just love your creativity! Enjoy your other ½ run and abs!

Hi to all who follow!!!

Good morning Cheetahs!

You know you are having a bad morning when your 4 year old says, “Mommy, you hurt my feelings when you are being so mean.”. Poor guy. It broke my heart to hear him say that. Of course, I was running late getting everyone out the door this morning on our way to daycare and work. Yesterday it was 48 degrees so the snow is gone. However, where DS has to get into the car there is a small pool of ice accumulated on the grass. I told him to be careful, as I opened the door for him. However, right as I was saying it I slipped on the ice and fell on my left thigh. Annamarie fell too since I was carrying her on my left side. We weren’t hurt, but we both have a little bit of mud on us from the fall, but no time to get changed. I hope the day gets better as it progresses.

Anyway, on taps for today is ME.

I’ll BBL for personals and to catch-up from yesterday’s posts. Have a good day cheetahs!

Judy-Sorry DS’s team didn’t win, but it sounds like a great party at your house. You are a nice mom to host these boys! I shouldn’t have written “freestyle” because I just mean my own version of doing leg weights.

I don’t do legs daily, but try to work legs on the days I run because that seems to keep me loosest/less stiff. What are you finding helpful for you with leg work?

Christine—Enjoy that Indian food DH is making. It sounds good. It sounds like the right thing to do to take the day off since you are full-body DOMS. My creativity is half time-problem and half because I need to do a late-night pick-up tonight of a kid, and running a little later in the day will help me not be a zombie. DH has to go to a meeting.

Kristi—the problem with kids nowadays is that they can express themselves!! It’s great he could “use his words.” ((hugs)) to you and OUCH on that fall. I hope you are ok and it doesn’t linger.. Enjoy ME later today!

Barb

:)

Good morning!

Cathy - We stayed at the Hyatt Regency. We liked it a lot! But we went to dinner one night over at the Radison and we decided we would like to try to stay there sometime, too! I am not so sure about the all inclusive, though. They may offer that. Yes, on the Fluidity they say 2 - 3 times per week. So...I think I can just make myself replace my floorwork with that! I am with ya on the spending lately! I HAVE to stop! :+ I can't wait for you to get your Fluidity!

Sunny - My goodness, girl! You are doing awesome in your training schedule! That is my dream! Go get 'em! :7

Marcia - Have fun with Plyo and the run, if you decide to do it! Yes..results are on the way!

Laurie - Glad you got some sleep! Enjoy your coffee date and day and KP&C!

Barb - I have been making my coffee at night and having it set to be ready at 4:00 and then drinking a cup while I am with Madison. It seems to be helping me get started easier. That is an interesting way to do your workout! Let me know how you like doing it that way.

Judy - Oh my! 10 boys over night! That would be a handful! Sorry your DS's team lost, though! Hope you feel better!

Christine - Yoga sounds like a good choice, especially since you are so sore and have worked out 7 straight days! I love Indian food!!!

Kristi - Ouch! I am glad you guys weren't hurt any worse! Hope your day gets better!

This morning I did BBC Chest and ABs and the treadmill portion, then I conquered the Intermediate Fluidity workout. The Fluidity really is great because it stretches me out so well after a run!

Hi to everyone that checks in later and that I may have missed!

Linda

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...for the record, Tony never really bugged me either and besides, he is in great shape! Good job on doing C&B plus ARX!

Laurie...very hectic day yesterday!! Hope Faith's hives are better soon. A coffee interview later?...hope it is enjoyable. Have fun doing KPC.

Sunny...wow! 14 clients....sounds like a very busy day...:)

Marcia...have fun with PlyoX.

Barb...sounds like a good way to split up your workout.

Judy...I think a DOR was needed! Especially fighting a virus. Hope you are better soon...

Christine...isn't it funny how even with DOMS you still want to work out!! Yoga might be a good idea. Enjoy your Indian food dinner.

Kristi...sorry about the fall! I am glad you and Annamarie were not hurt. I do hope the day gets better also...

Linda...sounds like a good workout. Fluidity does look interesting, but nothing I want to get into right now...

I am planning on PLB standing and PlyoX as I have not done that one in awhile...:)

Here is the requested sombrero pic:

http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL752/3147882/6408279/231941232.jpg

Nope, not my Margarita!! I only had an Ultra...:)

TeeHee Carole - LOVE the pic! And the sombrero even matches your shirt! Can't beat that! :+

Ended up doing Core Max 2 and 3. Figured I'd do HSTA tomorrow and that doesn't have abs, so this is a good time to get them in! And it felt great... Go figure.

Just got done 5 miles this morning. It must be getting close to that time of the month being that I have no energy. I muddle through it though.

Carole- That looks like you had a great party. You look great in your sombero. Thanks for postiing. I love happy photos.

Kristi- We all have morning like that. Just take a deep breath during the day and then give your little ones an extra hug tonight.

Judy- Sorry about the loss. I know you probaly made there evening by letting them have the sleep over.

Short on personals today. I have my sister coming this morning.

Good morning to all the wonderful and fit cheetahs!!!

I am feeling superfine this morning so I think I'll do my speedladder TM workout:
5 min warm up easy pace run - about 5.5 mph
2 min 6.o mph
2 min 6.5 mph
2 min 7.0 mph
1 min 5.5
2 min 6.5
2 min 7.0
2 min 7.5
1 min 5.5
2 min 7.0
2 min 7.5
2 min 8.0
5 min 5.5
You can stop there, or if you are certified insane (like yours truly ;-) ) you start again with the highest ladder and work your way back down.
Later I'll be doing LIC upperbody circuit.
Today I'll pick up my poor Birdy dog from the vet (she just had surgery to repair her torn ACL) My sister is visiting so I'll be having her over for dinner. That should be fun. She always has interesting stories. She and her DH work for the state dept and she is about to go to Pakistan:eek:

I'll be back for personals

Good morning ladies,
I was MIA yesterday. I had a nice family day on Monday and just did not get a chance to check-in. I did all of KPC yesterday with no back problems, WOO HOO!!!!! Now, I just have to run with no pain:)

My eating is still pretty much on track. I did splurge a little on my date with hubby, but it could have been a lot worse. We did not go to the movie after all but had dinner and then went to Barnes and Noble and sat and had latte's and just talked. It was a great time.

Yesterday, we taught my 4 year old how to ride her bike without training wheels. She did so well and was so eager and must have fallen about 10 times, but just kept on getting back up. She finally got it down after about an hour. It was so sweet and I was crying my eyes out. I am such sap:) I am so not ready to let her become a big girl.

Today, I am taking a rest day and I am looking forward to starting a new book and relaxing for a bit.

Oh dear I just looked at the clock and I have to take kids to school. I will be back for personals. Gotta Go!

Susan

Barb- For leg options I am trying to do B&G once per week and some legs two other days. I finally got to where I didn't get debilitating DOMS with a short premix, but this past weekend the leg blast premix did produce DOMS. However it has the exercises in it that I want to concentrate on most. Hopefully with regularity, the DOMS will lessen.

Elaine- Thank you for tip on distance th the EXT. This morning, I went 65" and did 7.3 miles (according to the Precor) I paid attention to HR and strides per minute and was hoping to get in a mile every 10". With my resistancfe at 7, my average HR was 172, and I kept the strides/min in the 160's to low 170's. These two parameters were helpful. Doing steady state on the EXT was a nice change from the intervals I often choose.

Carol- I like your picture! Thanks for sharing!! There are no decent Mexican restaurants around here!

Judy "Likes2bfit"

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Cathy – Did I hear right? You bought Fluidity? Let me know how you like it. I’m glad you like Tony too. I think he is a good instructor, arrogant, but to me he acts like one of my brothers. Enjoy P90X.

Jess – I loved your picture & your bathroom is so cute!

Linda – I have heard of the Hatfield & McCoy marathon & half. I never thought about running it, but if a fellow cheetah is going to run it then I might sign up. Do you live in WV? Let me know what you decide. Your workouts look great! Also, fluidity sounds like a nice program. You make me want to spend the money and buy it. :) You all are enablers. I don’t even know when I would find the time to fit it in. I must be strong and hold out a little longer. :)

Sunny D – Wow 14 clients? You are in high demand.

Laurie – Enjoy KPC.

Barb – Great workout! Are you following freestyle for lower body?

Judy – It sounds like you had a nice DOR. I hope you enjoyed it!

Christine – Happy Mardi Gras! I bet the yoga will help work out some of that DOMS. Enjoy your rest day and DH’s Indian food. Tonight the girls from my bunko group and I are going out for Italian.

Cathe – Great picture! I love the sombrero!!

Karen – Great job on the 5 miles. When I dropped DS off this morning I gave him a big hug and told him I was sorry I upset him. Have fun with your sister!

Hello to all Cheetahs! I’ll try to BBL.

:) :) :) :) personals :) :) :)
Christine- I think your 6 mile trail run gets you an honorable mention award at least! Uhoh.... you've taken a "sort of" rest day!! You're turning into a hard core cheetah:eek: I love doing the core max w/os on my "rest" days!

Wendy- Hi busy fit mom!!! Hope we can manage a GTG this June. I'd be thrilled to meet ya!

Cathy- So now you've started p90x:7 I don't understand why some people are so turned off by Tony either. He's a refreshing and entertaining change of pace from your usual dvd fitness instructor.
Hope your day goes well for you and you're not too rushed.

Barb- The next time you post the racing schedules dont forget to add my "Run for the Cheetah" race on April 29th. I'm way excited about this one. It's only a 5k. Hey, I split my workouts all the time. I think it's a great way to avoid burnout.

SunnyD- 14 clients     Word of mouth about you must be fantastic! How much time do you spend with each session?

Marcia- Okay, if you manage a run AND plyox you earn the superduper
cheetah award for the day!! You go girl:7 BTW, I love your new motto!

Laurie- Hey, I think there may be something with this internet dating.... A good friend of mine has met her soulmate thru the internet and has been seeing him for months now. I have never seen her so happy! Have a great KPC day!

Judy- WOW.... a houseful of teenage boys overnight :7 :7 :7 At least I'm assuming they are teenagers! Sorry they lost the match but I guess you helped them get over it. Kudos to you for surviving!!!

Kristi- Eeeks, that is a crummy way to start off the day! I hope you havent done more than bruised your hip. Hey, I think your 4y/o is quickly learning how to pull Mommie's guilt strings;-)

Linda- I figured you had to be getting up that early (0400:eek:) That
is dedication and my hat is off to you! Okay, all this talk about the fluidity workouts is driving my crazy!!! I have to check it out now..... oh my poor checkbook!

Carole- LOVE LOVE LOVE that pic!!!! Looks like you had an awesome good time :7 It is such a treat when the cheetahs post a pic!
I think PlyoX is the w/o off the day! I've been thinking about doing this one for a while.... it is fun and different!

Karen- Great job on pulling out 5 miles even though your energy levels were low! ^5s to you :7

Gotta run now, Hi to all the cheetahs who follow.... have a great one!
