::::: CHEETAHS ::::: Tues., 2/20

G'morning Cheetahs!! I just got back from a 3.5 mile OUTDOOR RUN!!! Yippee!! The weather was nice, it has warmed up to 32 degrees & the roads were clear. Mikey (our dog) was happy to get out for a run too! NO knee pain which makes me sooo happy. I'm going to stretch REALLY well & use my foam roller. I have been using it regularly in the evenings & it's helping. My sinuses feel really clear too, there's nothing like a good sweat to get the junk out!

OK, I just had my smoothie & I must stretch & get a shower before picking up Allison. I'll be back later though!!

Oh, and I'm so proud of myself, I finally figured out how to do an avatar!! (I used my Cheetah shirt pic!!) Thanks for the compliments on my pic, you're all too sweet!

Yeah Jess! Congrats on your run and no knee pain. Who would think 32 is warm? However, with the weather you have been having lately that is a heat wave. Enjoy your stretch and shower.

ShellyC- I'm glad you can pick up Birdy today. I'm sure ( he/she forgot) misses you dearly. How did you pick that name. I'm so curious.

Kristi- Your a great mom. Don't forget it. Sometimes it's nice to hear though. So hear you go. YOUR A GREAT MOMMY.

Jess- Happy to hear your back outdoors. Great job.

Carole - The picture is great! Enjoy Plyo and PLB! Glad you had a good birthday!

Shelly - That looks like an awesome treadmill workout! I will have to try it! I know what ya mean about the poor 'ole pocketbook! I need to STOP! I hope Birdy is feeling okay!

Kristi - Yes, I live in WV (Charleston). I have never ran a 1/2 before. I was seriously thinking about trying this one, though. I read that it is also walker friendly...so if I am real slow, or have to walk some...they shouldn't kick me off the course, right? :+ That would be great if you could run it with me! Let me know what ya think!! Have you ever run a 1/2 or a marathon? I promise....I don't "mean" to enable! :+

Karen - Good job on your 5 miler! Enjoy your visit with you sis!

Jess - Great job on getting your avatar up! It is such a good pic, too! You are so lucky to have got to run outside! Good job!!

Susan - I'm glad you didn't have any pain with your workout! The date night sounds fun! I love going to Barnes and Noble or Books -a-Million and getting coffee and talking! Or just browsing! That is so sweet that your little girl learned to ride her bike! I'll bet she is so proud of herself...and I'll bet you are so proud of her!

Good Afternoon Cheetahs!:)

I just got up from a 20 min cat nap and am now sucking up some java before I work out. :)

I was in a F-O-W-L mood when I got home after work and a run to the food store. I am used to being able to eat whatever and whenever I want MOST of the time. At work I can not do that. I can only realistically bring in a small snack and it's just not enough! When I don't get food I get very ornery and to have to go foodshopping before getting something to eat is pure freakin' TORTURE! So I came home fed DS, shoveled a turkey sandwich AND a bowl of cereal in my face and then laid down for a bit. To top it off I had a slight headache too. x( I took something for it BEFORE I laid down though...seems to be going away already. Thank goodness!:) Sorry for complaining. Thanks for listening though!:p

I won't even begin to pretend I know what work out I am doing yet cause well...I DON'T!!!!:7 :7 :7

Time for personals though!:)

Laurie: A coffee interview? What a cute term! LOL I love it! Best of luck. I hope it works out for you. :)

Barb: So how long is your full run today? What ab work out did you do?

Judy: Even a dedicated Cheetah like yourself needs a rest day now and again! Sometimes I hate to take them but I must admit they feel great! Is your snow starting to melt yet? Our ICE is just starting to melt a bit as it's in the 40's here today...Hurry, let's go swimming!:p :7 :p :+

Christine: So where did you meet your DH? You live in Cali because of him, I take it? I envy folks who have the nerve to get up and move anywhere w/a husband or wife and kids. My sister said she'll live anywhere so long as her hubby and kids are with her. I feel bad...I can't say that. I just need my other friends and family around me too. BTW, I forgive you for forgetting what L&B was.;) It gave me a good giggle though.:+

Kristi: Sorry about your incident this morning on the way to work/daycare. I know what it's like when you have a schedule to keep in the mornings and a little one doesn't want to cooperate. I only have ONE...I can't imagine having to keep 2 or 3 in line! Glad no one was hurt by the fall.

Linda: So does Fluidity actually come with a ballet bar or something? Is it toning or stretching? I'm actually not looking to be enabled on this one...just curious...for now anyway! LOL ;)

Carole: Cute pic! When was that taken? Have fun with Plyo! It's one tough work out! That's why I haven't done it in a while!:p ;) :7

Karen: UGH, TTOM. I know what you mean. It never used to be a big deal for me but it seems lately I am a mess for the 2 weeks prior to it. You are not alone girl. Feel better!

Shelly: Sorry if I never responded back to you about that race. I read your posts about it but have been out of it. I am wondering if I should sign up for it or just come to cheer you on!:)

Susan: I am so happy you are virtually pain free now! So are you done with PT or still going?

Jess: No pain! YEAY! Looks like our 2 injured Cheetahs are ready to roll again! That makes me happy!:+ I love the colors in your bathroom...very pretty! Your avitar is very cute! You have such a vibrant smile!

Cathy: Would you be interested in meeting up with Shelly and I in June when she is in my area for the race? We still have to meet up. Pick one of those 2 malls you emailed me (freehold or quakerbridge) and pick a date! We gotta do this already girl!:)

Okay folks...time to get those work out clothes on and pick my poison!

BBL! :7

Hi girls! Just running in quickly to say hello. I should have time to come back later for personals.

I have a 4 miler tonight and it's warm here. I may attempt to run outside instead of the TM. We'll see how that goes.

Talk to y'all soon!

Hello again!

Shelly: Enjoy your run. I hope you make it outside! It's pretty balmy here too!:7

Well, I just finished my work out and it didn't even take me but 5 mins to decide what to do!!! LOL I did the BC cardio and lowerbody premix, skipped the stretch and moved right into the lower body only premix. }( Does anyone sense a pattern here?? ;) I am hoping to squeeze in about 20 mins of YogaX as well before DS gets up. I still "owe" myself a yoga work out from last week! I just need a little time to recup first...

Hope to pop back in again later!:)

Wendy - Fluidity is actually like a ballet bar. It has a mat attached to it. It is actually a toning workout, but you do stretches on the bar, too. I have had mine for almost a year....but I never really did it for any length of time. I do enjoy it, but I truly don't know how it will stand the test of time, or what type of results I will get with it. I am just now going to "try" to use it regularly :p It also comes with two resistance bands (kind of like Cathe's green one) and a small squishy ball and pump to blow it up. The exercises are on the lines of The Bar Method and Lotte Burke.

Hello cheetahs,

I just got back from my pt appointment and the back is doing great, but there is a little inflammation in the glute area still. I am going to run tomorrow for a mile or 2 and see what happens and If I feel pain I will jump on the elliptical:) Life is good!

Now for some personals:

Cathy, What workout do you have planned today? Did you get all your work done this weekend?

Sunnydelite, 14 clients is a lot for one day. Don't get burned out cheetah and make time for your own workouts:)

Marcia, a run AND plyometrics? Results are definitley coming your way:)

Wendy, yes, I have about 2-4 more weeks of pt. I have become a very patient cheetah though}( I love the bootcamp lower body premix. It definitley gets the job done.

Laurie, have a nice time with your coffee interview:) Maybe he will be the one;-)

Barb, what a motivated and disciplined cheetah you are. I love the split workout idea.

Judy, That sounds like quite a night! I hope you get over your virus soon:)

Christine, What time did you say dinner is}( Take the rest day and enjoy it!

Kristi, it is amazing how our little ones can get to us. I sometimes go to bed hating myself for being a little harsh to one of my girls. But, they are always so forgiving and love their mommy's. I hope the rest of the day goes a little better for you.

Linda, I am going to have to check out this fluidity workout. I keep hearing about it. Would you highly recommend it? And yes, my little Mariah has not stopped talking about her huge accomplishment with the bike.

Carole, GREAT pic!!! Glad your ham/glute is doing well. Send some of the healing vibes this way! Enjoy your plyox, GREAT workout!

Karen,Great job on your run! PMS is definitley a drag when it comes to energy for the workouts.

shelly, you are such a CRAZY super cheetah!!!! That workout looks like a real butt kicker. Good luck with that(LOL)!

JEss, that is 2 runs with no knee pain, YAY!!!! I am so happy for you. I will follow in your footsteps very soon. BTW, Great PIC!

Shelley, enjoy your outdoor 4 miler. Did you find a race yet?

Well, ladies I am off to feed my little one some lunch. Have a great day cheetahs!!!

Susan

Hey Ladies –

Popping in quickly to say hi! I’m working through lunch today, so I think I have the right to take a few moments to say hi to my lovely cheetahs!!

Karen – hate when I don’t have the energy to do the workout I want. Hope it comes quickly and leaves even faster.

Shelly – hmm, reading that tm speed ladder workout makes me think things are not busy enough at the hospital and you’re trying to drum up business. :p WOW!! I’m impressed. Have fun with your sister, and hope Birdy is doing well!! And I’m simply emulating my Cheetah Idol who never takes a real rest day.

Susan – oh, how wonderful – lattes and conversation with DH! What a great time. Good for you! Glad your back problems seem to be on the mend. How exciting!! And great job to your 4yo! I’m with Shelly – I see a future triathlete! Oh, and dinner will be at 7:30 – I PM’d you my cell phone before – so feel free to call for directions. (And the funny thing is that if I told DH you and your family were coming, he’d love it – he’s that social).

Kristi – enjoy your Italian night! Did you decide on soda for your lent sacrifice?

Judy – I like to alternate between L&G and B&G when I’m doing leg work – I think they work me the best. I’ll do one on Friday – probably B&G as I chickened out yesterday. :+

Jess – so glad you were able to run outside. 32 degrees warm, though? *shudders in her think California skin* My dogs love to get out, too.

Wendy – I met DH at a training class for the company he works at now (I used to work there). I took the role of “social director” of the training and arranged dinners. At one of the dinners, he showed up then joined a group of afterwards for drinks. And the rest, as they say, is history… Sometimes I wish I were closer to home and family, but I like it here too. I don’t think you should feel bad. I think it’s wonderful that your family and friends are you main source of comfort. Glad I gave you a good little giggle.

Shelley – Oh, enjoy your outdoor run!!

Well, my sales reps are beating on me to produce quotes, so I must run! Have fun ladies...

Karen – You are so sweet. You brought tears to my eyes. I think all of us moms, at one point or another, need affirmation that we are doing good by our kids. Thank you!

Linda – I’m sure they won’t kick you off of the course. :) If it makes you feel any better I’m a slow runner too. My first HM is the Derby HM on April 28th. My DB and I will be running this one. However I told him to pick a nice comfy seat once he finishes because I’m going to be a little while. LOL Speedy is not an adjective I use to describe my running. After looking at the website, it sounds like a great HM. If I decide to run this I would need to spend the night the day before the race because, if I remember correctly, it is a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive for me. I’ve been to that area once last summer because my DB’s ex lives near there with his daughter. If you decide to run this I will run it with you. One can be a Hatfield and the other can be a McCoy so our running times will cancel each other out. I’ll let you decide.

Shelley – Good luck with your 4 miler and WELCOME! Sorry I forget to say that when you first came to the check-in.

Wendy – Have a great workout!

Susan – I’m glad to hear your back is doing great. You must be so happy. Good luck with your run tomorrow. You are wise to be cautious to avoid reinjury.

Christine – Yes, soda is my official sacrifice for Lent. It is a big one for me. Tonight I will get my fill of both soda and Italian. Yummy!! Bella Notte here I come. Good luck with your Lenten sacrifice. So no meat except fish and shellfish, right? Are you going to make it to Ash Wednesday mass tomorrow? I plan to go during my lunch time and sacrifice my short 2 mile run. I want to try to start the season off on the right foot. This is the first year I’ve been able to make it to this particular mass.

Well, I need to wrap stuff up here at work so I can pick up the kids and make my dinner date with the girls. Have a great night ladies!

Kristi - The funny thing is that my Son-in-law is actually a Hatfield! (actually one of the REAL ones :+ of course from waaay back!) I would have to spend the night too. I think it is around two hours or so. I would love to do it!

Linda: Thanks for the details on Fluidity. Doesn't sound like it's for me...Thank goodness! LOL I hope you get good results from it though!:)

Christine: You all would die if ya heard mine and DH's "love story". It's quite the sortid tale! }( How long have you and DH been together? Sal and I dated for 1.5 years, engaged for 1.5 years and this March will be our 4 year anniversary of marriage.

Okay, I think I might have time for some personals:

Cathy – Aruba! Oh, I’m so jealous! That sounds fab!

Sunny – this will sound like an idiotic question, but what kind of training? Are you a PT?

Marcia – I assume you’re doing the X. How are you enjoying it?

Laurie – how did your “coffee interview” go? I love that term.

Barb – how long was the run you split today?

Judy – you’re a brave woman! Did you manage to survive the onslaught of pubescent boys?

Christine – I love Indian food. What did your DH make tonight?

Kristi – I hope your day got better and you don’t bruise up too badly!

Linda – are you enjoying the Fluidity? It sounds very intriguing but I DON’T NEED MORE WORKOUTS!!:p

Carole – LOVE the sombrero pic. You look like the cat that ate the cream in that one

Karen – I’m close to TTOM as well, and I have that draggy feeling right along with you. Well done making it through five miles.

ShellyC – oh, that ladder TM workout looks insane. I’m going to have to try it, maybe this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

Susan – yay for your daughter riding her bike with no training wheels! I know that feeling. You’re so proud but you don’t want them to be that grown up, all at the same time! I haven’t picked a race yet.

Jes – you look wonderful in your new avatar. Love the shirt;)

Wendy – gee were you concentrating on lower body today? I hate that super-hungry feeling. I always get headaches when that happens to me too. And cranky? Man, don’t come near me.

Gotta run!
