Cathlete
Morning, cheetahs~

Am desperately trying to wake up here so I can fit in a weight workout before work. Will catch up with yesterday's posts in a few...

cathy :)

Wendy & Carole :: actually, I hate crowds, too…but I have gotten some incredible Black Fri bargains. My strategy is to go early, have a specific plan, and get in and out quickly. Usually by 8 or 9 am, I am home. Mostly, it’s big ticket items which draw me, so if nothing catches my eye in the sales ads, I do stay home. Will PM you soon…am having a crazy week!

Laurie :: I’m glad the ankle therapy is working out for you although it doesn’t sound easy. How’s Faith’s injury? I’m the same – my non-Cathes gather dust.

Christine :: oh boy, the college meltdowns…good luck! I hope you were able to convince your daughter to expand her options. Sounds like a gorgeous run you had yesterday.

Carole :: I saw that thread…looks like it is still up and running. What a weirdo.

Sunny :: glad your son is feeling a little better. Poor little guy.

Jess :: the pics look fantastic…great job! I can just picture the girls skidding around the new floors in their socks (isn’t that what hardwood floors make you wanna do?) Hope the rest helped & you’re feeling a bit better today…but personally, I do think it’s time to see the doc!

Susan :: Yikes! Sounds like a killer workout yesterday. I don’t know if a massage could clear up your sciatica (maybe Laurie might know that), but I do think you, as an athlete, would enjoy and benefit from a massage. Why not try it? Be sure to mention the problem (or problems) you’re having and see if it does any good. If not, then follow up with a chiro visit. Once you have a massage, though, I think you’ll be hooked.

Shelly :: I do like running after work, but if I had my way, I’d do it first thing in the morning. Just don’t have the time. I’m not one who likes to run when it’s pitch black out! I haven’t checked out any of the clips, so I’m not sure which DVD I’ll do first. I keep thinking the early-bird pre-orderers have GOT to be getting theirs any day!

Hi to Jennifer, Laura, Judy, and all others stopping in today. Now it’s off to tackle a workout.

Have a good Thursday & great workouts, everyone!
Cathy :)

Back to report that I did the ME premix, which turns out not to be all that much shorter than the full workout. Whew! Now off to get ready for work in a hurry! BBL :)

Morning!!!

Cathy: Good job on the ME premix before dawn! ^5!!! ;) }( :7 I have heard of lots of folks who go out on Black Friday to be at the stores when they open at 5am! EEGADS, no way! LOL I know you said you are usually home by 8-9...do you go out THAT early??? No problem on the PM. I understand that you are busy. Whenever you have time is fine. :)

I have a TM run slated for early this evening. I am hoping for about 4 miles...maybe longer...I'll have to see. DH is working O/T today and has a bowling league right after so I won't see him until about 9:30 tonight. I have to work this morning and then I will spend the afternoon on housework (JOY!...NOT!:p ) and head for the gym around 5-6 tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Ciao Bellas!:*

Good morning Cheetahs,

Cathy...nice job on ME, I know what you mean about the premix... great w/o though.

Wendy...I did a 5 mile TM run yesterday, have fun:)

Today I did IMAX, my legs felt so heavy from yesterday's run and I definitely paid the price for it. I forgot how brutal IMAX can be using 4 risers. It's not that it's hard, it's just the intensity of it I guess. Then I followed it up with a little pilates.

To all who follow, have a great w/o and great day!

Katrina

Okay Katrina...are you out of your flippin' mind, girl!?!? LOL :p You use an 8" step for IMAX and say "...not that it's hard..."! WHAT!?!?!   What's your secret girl...DO TELL! }( :+

Morning Cheetahs:) Not feeling very perky this morning and I won't have time for a workout before workx( If weather permits I'll do my final MowMax of the season and trim back some perennial, I was making like Tarzan with the unruly grapevine at the back of our lot yesterday and got a good arm workout with it:+

Cathy, good job on the early ME premix! Faith's ankle is coming along, she has cheerleading practise tonight but won't stunt. I can't believe you haven't checked out the clips yet!!! They will definitely whet your appetite even more for the new workouts :)

Wendy, sounds like a busy day on tap for ya, have a good one!!

Katrina, good job!! IMAX is a goodie! I use 4 risers too but not for IMAX3, I tried it once and that was enough for me, really hard on my joints!!

Enjoy your Thursday Cheetahs! I'm looking at the clock and thinking I might go sneak in some CoreMax before work!

Take Care
Laurie

Good morning cheetahs....

Before personals I have some sad news to share. I got an email from Elaine TYR yesterday, and she had been called to her brothers side for her last good byes. This has to be such a very hard time. I know you cheetahs will keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers...I am sure when she can she will be back here to post....

Carole--
Thank you for letting us know what is going on with Elaine. So very sad and I will keep her and her family in my thoughts & Prayers.

Thanks for letting us know Carole. Elaine you, your brother and your family are in my heart and prayers today. Peace and Strength to you as you bid your brother's blessed and eternal spirit adieu:-(

Love: Laurie

Oh, I'm sooo sorry to hear that. I'm thinking of you & your family, Elaine! Please take care of yourself & I'm glad that you can be there w/ your brother.

Big hugs!

G'morning Cheetahs! I did SJP for the first time- lots of fun! Long though, I had to get up a little earlier!

I'm feeling a bit better today, I think I'm just a bit worn down. My headache is gone, yeah!

OK, I've gotta run. Going to visit my Aunt Meg & go through stuff at my Grandma's house. Busy day!

If you missed it, I posted a few pics of the home deco http://www.picturetrail.com/jess_jugs Not totally done, but it's getting there!

Have a great day!

I'm back...:)

Cathy...good job on the 6 miles yesterday. I bet you do find some great bargains on black friday. I think I'd just rather stay home...:)...Good job on the ME premix..

Wendy...wow! You did great with HSTA!! I agree...housework is such a JOY!!!....NOT!...enjoy your TM run this evening...

Katrina...Imax is a tough one...4 risers is how high??? 8 inches....wow!

Sunny...P90X shoulders and arms is my fav of that series. I am glad to hear your DS is getting better..

Jess..my sister did that same floor in her house. The pics of your living room look great!!! Sounds like you had fun with SJP..

Jennifer...hope you had fun with Lowmax.

Laurie...I am glad the sun came out for you yesterday. Body Combat doesn't sound too scary now...:)...The little bit of negativity here about the new DVD's being delayed just kinda frustrates me, I mean come on...but that person did the same thread in 3 forums....ridiculous...I think we might have one more mow before the season is over too. Have tons of leaves now too...

Susan...my Elliptical has the arms and I use them every time. See, they can be an addicting machine! I answered your post in the open forum about sciatica...:)

Christine...sounds like a beautiful run yesterday. I love the changing fall colors.

Shelly...glad you got some sun too! I think the first Cathe workout for me will be Butts & Gutts...wonder if that troll is finished with thier tantrumming...

Laura...sounds like your classes a going well. That is great you are feeling more comfortable!

I am doing the leg section of Push/Pull and an iClimb on my Elliptical.

Have a great day...

Elaine – I’m really, really sorry to hear about your brother. Know that he and you are in my thoughts and prayers. {{{HUGS}}}

Good Morning All –

I was hoping not to get that news about Elaine’s brother. How sad. He’s so young.

Well, today is the day I get my mammogram follow up. *shakes in shoes* Had Imax 3 on tap for today, but as I could not sleep last night – had pizza for dinner and it did not agree with me. So, I decided to sleep later and skip the workout today. Figured it was better that I was awake for work today… Plus all of this activity has me pretty sore, so, a break is probably not a bad thing.

Cathy – great job on the ME Premix! You can’t even find parking at the malls around here at 8AM on Black Thursday. I have friends who do all of their shopping on that day. I would go crazy!

Wendy – I’m with you – after all that Turkey I have no desire to get up to shop! Although, you’re getting up to run! That would be a great idea as it would keep me a little more sane on Thanksgiving knowing I had to run the next day. Did you sign up?

Katrina – Great job on Imax on an 8” step! That’s tough stuff!

Laurie – glad to hear that Faith’s ankle is doing better. I LOVE the mental image of you out there dressed like Tarzan’s Jane, tackling a vine. So funny!

Hi Barb! How are you?

Jess – nice photos!! I really like what you’ve done! I’m with Cathy – can WE come over and slide around in our socks? *winks*

Carole – thanks for the update on Elaine’s brother. I’m ready for the new vids, too, but like you said, what’s the point of whining about it? Hopefully they’ll ship today, and we’ll get B&G in time for where I have it subbing for L&G in my rotation. If not, oh well. I think I’m most looking forward to Drill Max.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Christine...I am sending good thoughts for your mammogram follow up...:)..I truly hate those things and always put mine off...:(..as for the new workouts, I think Drillmax might be the toughest!!!

I just reread your post...pizza is what got to my stomach a couple of weeks ago!! And I had eaten the same exact one many time before...no, a break is usually a good thing...:)

Hi Cheetahs,
I'm not finding time to check in this week x(
But I am struggling to keep up with workouts, not as much as I'd like, but doing ok.

Christine--fingers crossed for the mammogram today. Wise move to sleep in...it's important to not push it and stay balanced.

Katrina--cannot believe you did Imax on the 8" step -- WTG stepmonster!

Laurie-glad your DD is better.

Jess--beautiful looking floor. Good for you!

Carole--have fun with iClimb today and PP legs. Sounds like a good combo. I did MM premix yesterday push-pull style. Fun premix -- but I ran short on time.

Wendy--Hi!

Sunny--Hi!

Judy--good job on the TM run. My hips hurts more these days if I run on a TM rather than outside. What do you find?

Shelly--way to keep up with workouts around work shifts and being so smart about coming back into your training post injury. Your body is already thanking you and I know it will pay off when you run your marathon.

Cathy--super job squeezing in ME before work. Way to go pulling yourself into the awake-zone. I am feeling like a zombie these days and may need more rest for an extended period to fully bounce back.

Have a great day everyone. I apologize for not saying hi to everyone personally. I watched the B & G clip--looks like a lot of excellent exercises to support running. I can't wait to get them.

-Barb

Hi guys,

No time for personals again today :(, but I just wanted to check in to say hi, and also say that LowMax has now officially tied PowerMax and KPC for my all-time favorite workout!! Woohoo!

Jennifer

Carole and Barb - thanks for the good thoughts! I really do appreciate it. I am nervous, but DH said that if there is anything, he'll fly home immediately as he's only in LA and it's only an hour flight. So, that's good.

Carole - I felt like I had a baby rhino trapped inside me trying to get out... WHY do I do these things to myself? I mean I KNOW I cannot eat that crap without feeling the consequences, but I do it anyway. It was really good, but so not worth it. I think it may have been worse as well as I have been cutting down on dairy and this was coated in cheese.

Barb - stay balanced? A lot of folks would claim that's a losing battle for me. :+ But, I do agree. I had about five minutes around 4:30 when I was arguing with myself that I really NEED to get up and do IMax 3. But then common sense took over (and the fact that IMax 3 is dangerous when one is really tired!) and I went back to sleep! Hope all is well for you! I miss hearing from you!

Christine-- A baby rhino--very alarming I must say! I think re-adding dairy after you've cut it out could definitely cause te appearance of a small jungle animal!!

Wise to not push it and go with resting the body. There is always tomorrow for Imax 3 and more. The odds are way in your favor that everything today will go perfectly with the repeat mammogram!

If you leave there with those little stickers in your pocket though, thinking you can use them as magazine markers or car post-its or something, you are gonna get busted! :+
