G'morning, cheetahs :)

This afternoon will be cardio - probably k'boxing. So far, no DOMS from PH last night. I'm surprised ~ my quads were really quivering.

No posts to catch up with from last night, so I'll just wish everyone a great day!!

Cathy :)

PS...Anyone heard from Shelly? She's been MIA a few days.

PS2...I'll be PMing the birthday list at some point later today.

All right, I *think* I just PM'd all those on the b-day list. Can't be sure since there is no outbox feature in the PM system. So, let me know if I missed anyone!

ETA: Re: the 2nd round of cheetah shirts...the cost will be $29.83 per shirt PLUS shipping. The average cost for shipping one shirt was $2.07...so we are looking at $32 total per shirt. Gayle, Laurie, Linda, and Thomasina, please PM your size, # of shirts, and zip codes so we can get a more precise estimation of shipping.

For sizing info, click here: http://www.customink.com/items/sizing/99100_lineup/standard.htm

Sizing is men's. I ordered a M (I am normally a size 8-10.)

Good morning Cheetahs:

I just couldn't get myself to do legs and back P90X this morning. I only had exactly an hour and that's what the workout was, so that left no time to take it all in and if I had to pause it or anything I wouldn't have been able to finish, no time for recovery drink, etc. I know it sounds like a bunch of excuses, but I hate being rushed with my workouts, I like to know I can take my time and do it right. I do have step class tonight so I will just move Legs and Back to tomorrow.

I'm not skipping a workout just having to change things up a bit. I sure LOVE my time alone in the morning to get on the computer, read, etc.

I'm reading through the P90X Nutrition Plan to see if it would work for me.

I NEED RESULTS! ;-) }( :*

Take care,
Marcia.

Cathy - GREAT birthday list. Thanks a bunch for getting that together, this will be nice to know in advance. Too bad we didn't have addresses, too, so we could send birthday cards.

:) Marcia.

Hey there Cheetahs.

My car is in a rather nasty spot out there on the ice/snow covered road so I will see about getting myself out the door this morning for a class at the gym. I'm not going to kill myself to do it. If I can't, there is always tmrw evening's class....

My legs still hurt! YIKES!

Tonight calls for yoga but if my legs are still hurtin' I will be opting for stretch x instead.

I'll be back in a bit!:)

Hello Ladies

We have managed pretty well in the snowstorm. We did *some* shoveling! The large amount of snow had us concerned about a stray kitty that we have been letting sleep in our garage. With 20+ inches of snow, we weren't sure he could find his way .

Marcia- having extra time to rest between sets can make a difference I agree.

Cathy- Thank you for the birthday list. It seems Elaine, Carole and I are the senior members! Was Shelly on the list? I think she is right up there with us 'seniors!'

Today will be the DOMS producing PP/SS upper body combo. Then I'm out for most of the day at my DS's school and straight to his hockey practice. I think we'll grab a quick dinner in between. There is a great pizza restaurant with a highly imaginable variety of pizza and really fresh (also very creative) large salads.

Judy "Likes2bfit"

ETA: Hi Wendy! I sending you Leg Love!!!!

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

G'day Ladies, I spoke to soon yesterday about the 'snow gods' being good to me, I shovelled my little heart out yesterday (THANKS PLOW GUY;( ) and my arms feel like heavy, wet noodles today:+ Not sure what to do for a workout. My eating has been very good so I'm trying to ease up a bit on the cardio so perhaps HSTA today, I'll definitely be doing some yoga as well. I have a sick little Kit in the house today, 12 y.o. Faith has a cold and a big cheerleading competition in Ottawa in 2 days. She's been working with her squad like a little trojan since early October and I pray she feels better by Saturday.

Cathy, isn't it funny how DOMS can be such an arbitrary thing. PH is brutal on the legs. You should feel very good about the amount of muscular endurance you have built up in your quads. I'll PM you the info. I'm on the fence for sizing, a month ago I was a large, now I'm a medium....next month is anyone's guess:+

Marcia, I feel the same about rushing a workout, they are my stress buster, I don't want to feel stressed when I'm doing it. Enjoy your step class.

Wendy, getting your car cleared and out sounds like a workout unto itself.

Judy, glad you survived the storm, what a day! You've got a busy day ahead, hope it's a good one. I'd better go find that PP/SS u/b combo.:)

Enjoy your Thursday Cheetahs!

Take Care
Laurie

Hey, ladies! Good morning. Our schools just went from a 2 hour delay to a day OFF! WOO HOO! Another day to lounge around!

Quick post, my boys are begging for breakfast!

This morning's workout was a Kickbox/Upper Body mish mosh that Wendy sent me! Thanks, A LOT, Wendy! LOL. LOVED IT! It took about 80 minutes with all the disc changes, but I did it as 'published' and got a great workout. I ommitted the abs, because I want to tack Core Max and B&G abs onto a run tomorrow! My butt and hammies are SOOOOO sore from yesterday's workout. I'm sure tomorrow my top half will have DOMS as well! LOL

BBL after breakfast and we get settled in for another day off of school!

Gayle

Good Morning Cheetahs. Another snowed in Cheetah here. Yesterday all the power went out and they even sent my dh home from work. It was a nice surprise. We got all the shoveling done( which was so hard with the ice on top) and then we sledded with the girls. It was the most perfect sledding weather ever. I didn't even need to push anyone. They just sat in the sled and were off with all the ice.

Today is a 6 mile tempo run. My runs are getting longer. I'm so happy to see that with the added bonus of no IT band issues. It pays to train smart.

Judy, Sounds like you have things under control despite all of the snow that fell y'day! Enjoy your busy day!

Laurie, Your poor DD! I hope she feels better. A woman I work with has a 16 yr old DD who insisted on performing in a cheerleading competition this past weekend with strep throat and a 103 fever! YIKES!

Gayle, Oh good! I'm so glad you liked the mish-mosh! I will hope for some good DOMS for you tmrw!:)

Well, I went out and quickly tried to just drive out of my parking spot...not even close! I went NO WHERE! It's like there is superglue on the bottom of my tires! LOL I am not going to bother trying to get out. I'll just do some cardio at home today since I can't get in a run this week. Tomorrow eve I will take the kb class at the gym.

Now...my problem is....what cardio shall I do? HELP ME! LOL

ETA: Hi Karen! We were posting at the same time! Enjoy your run.

Good morning Cheetahs!

Today is a 3.5 mile run. I’m beginning to feel a little under the weather, but I’m not sure if it because I am just tired and need to wake up. Luckily for DH & I, my MIL wants to drive down to pick my kids up and keep them for the weekend. It is so nice when that happens, which is about 2 or 3 times a year since we don’t live near any family. It will be nice to sleep in for a change. Maybe I can actually sleep past 7 a.m. for a change. LOL

Cathy – Thanks for the birthday list.

Marcia – I hope you enjoy P90X. I’m sure you will see results.

Susan – Good job on the 3 mile run, but take it easy if you need to. We don’t want to see our cheetah hurt again.

Wendy – aka DOMS Queen, enjoy your Yoga X or stretch X. You deserve it.

Judy – I hope you are able to find your stray kitten. I’m amazed at how much snow you all have received. Try to be safe and keep warm.

Laurie – Enjoy your workout today. I hope Faith starts feeling better soon.

Karen - Good luck with your 6 mile run. I'm glad you are not having problems with you IT Band.

Gayle - Great workout. I hope you and the boys enjoy a day off.

Hello to Barb, Christine, Sunny D, Carole, & all that I have missed.

Well, I'll BBL. Have a great day!

Hi Cheetahs,
Not sure what workout I’ll do today or if it’s a rest day. I slept later to catch up after the past few nights of drive problems and DH being gone. I hope he can make it home tonight as planned with all the air travel troubles reported on the news.

Cathy—thanks for assembling that bday list. Have a good kb w.o. tonight.

Judy—that restaurant sounds like fun. Busy day for you.

Marcia—I am the same way. I hate to be rushed with a workout. I like to feel like there is a cushion of time so I can engage better.

Laurie—sorry your DD is sick. I hope she’s well enough for that competition. How terrific that she has been working so hard! I know from friends that the training for cheerleading is very demanding.

Wendy—Can you send me that mishmash, pretty please? Superglued car does not sound good. What cardio should you do?? MIC, oldy but goody?

Karen—great news about your ITB. That’s the way to do it. Stronger, faster & doing it safely!

Gayle – lucky girl to have another snow day. My kids are back, not thrilled about it.

Kristi—that is lucky about your MIL. You were very productive y’day on your mid-day break. Great job! I hope you feel better and it’s just tiredness.

Susan--great photo! You are being very wise about restarting running.

Hi to all Cheetahs checking in later: Elaine, Carole, Christine, Shelly, Thomasina, Colleen, Laura, Jess...& anyone else I'm missing
Have a great day!

Barb
:) :)

Hi Cheetah Ladies –

I was stupid. Got into a little pity party with DH not being there and everyone else talking about their great plans for VDay, so I had a bit of wine (not too much, actually), but that weakened my resolve and I hit the GS cookies in a big way! So, I have sugar hangover. Well, back to no wine tonight, even though I have leftovers of a great cab. :+ I sooo wanted to sleep in today but I knew if I did I would feel horrible all day long, so I’m up and at ‘em and will do Circuit Max focusing on lower body only. I have lunch plans so can’t do workout over lunch – bummer – but we’re going to a local Mexican restaurant and they have a grilled frajita salad with grilled chicken (or steak – I’ll get chicken), and they have great salsa for a dressing. I’ll get a side of beans with it and have a nice BFFM meal.

Cathy – oddly, I didn’t feel DOM in my legs – although I could feel it when I did Imax 2 yesterday, but my pecs! I went too heavy on the chest work. Thanks for the b-day list… I see one of our lovely ladies has a bday coming up really soon!!

Marcia – Absolutely understand about being rushed during a workout. I love my mornings, too. It’s MY time. So I totally understand.

Wendy – be careful – I’m watching the news right now and they are talking about how bad it is out East. Hope you’re legs feel better soon!! Glad you’re skipping the gym. Not worth going out in that.

Judy – How is the kitty? Did he find his way in? You’re good to do that. That’s a lot of snow! Wow!

Laurie – I hope Faith feels better very quickly! Good luck to her! DD17 cheers, so I know how tough that is! For the shirts – go with a medium – they run big. I got a large and it’s a little, well, large.

Gayle – Glad you get another snow day! Hey – can you send me that mish mosh? Sounds like a good one! Have fun “lounging around the house” (As if!)

Karen – great to hear your runs are getting longer and you’re feeling good. Training is everything. Have fun with the ice!

Kristi – oh what a lovely Valentine’s present from you MIL! Enjoy your weekend!! Good job on the run!

Hi to all who follow!!!

Edited to add - Hey Barb!! Hope DH makes it home! Mine's coming home tomorrow for a few days. Really makes me appreciate and admire the single moms of our group! Wow! Take a rest day. You deserve it for all of your travels. Did you get a lot of snow, too?

Christine-I PMd you the mish mosh. Hey...and wallowing in self-pity is good once in a while. And just out of morbid curiosity, what kind of GS cookies did you indulge in???? lol

Barb-I'll send it to you next (Wendy may also, since you asked her).

Kristi-enjoy the kid-free zone time. lol. You're right...it just doesn't happen often enough. Enjoy the alone time with DH! And take care of yourself.

Wendy-how about Cardio Fusion? I'm anxious to do that one again!

Gayle

Kristi: Oooh girl, enjoy your upcoming weekend w/o the kiddos!;) }(

Barb: Get home safe tonight! MIC!? Are trying to kill me girl? LOL

Christine: Sorry about your over-indulgence last night. You'll be okay though. You are up and ready to burn those cals off so that's a great start!:)

ETA: Gayle, I can't do CF yet...I don't know the step routines well enough to make that one happen with out being a fumbling idiot!:+ LOL

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...glad the power was not out too long yesterday. I did have a good workout yesterday..thanks...Enjoy your k'boxing today and thank you for the B-day list...:)

Marcia...I never like behind rushed either and there is no timesaver version of P90X L&B like there are in Cathe workouts!

Wendy...the only P90X weight one I don't like much is Chest & Back. Once in awhile its okay but I get bored with it. Those strip sets in B&B are tough. Maybe they should be in the beginning!! So, what got your legs so sore? WOW...so the tires are iced to the ground?? I'd stay home too.

Judy...happy to join you in the Senior cheetah club!! Have a good workout with PP/SS.

Christine...luckily not much candy at my work yesterday. Sorry about the sugar hangover. It can be tough when your DH is gone during special occasions. Sounds like a yummy lunch. Have a good workout with CM...

Barb....my DH brought in a nice plant for me to see when I got to work yesterday. It is nice to get along...:)...my ham/glute didn't bother me at all in Imax2, so hopefully its getting better. I hope your DH gets home safely this evening...:)

Karen...thanks, my workout yesterday was great. So hopefully the back and ham/glute is subsiding, and yes it can get you down when you feel overall good. Sounds like alot of snow shoveling yesterday. That is good news you are running longer without ITB issues.

Susan...good job with B&G and 40 min on the EXT yesterday. Tough not eating candy on Valentines Day...I had a cookie...:)..No we usually don't go out for V-day. I made him a nice dinner, and some cookies. I should invest in one of the foam rollers. Great pic in your shirt, you are a very fit cheetah...

Jess...your Valentine treats look yummy. Great snow pictures!

Tomasina...sounds like you need rest the other day. My ham/glute didn't hurt doing Imax2 either. I might try a run today and if there is pain go to the EXT.

Kristi...V-Day is definitely a good day to cheat. Hope the chinese food was good...:)...that is sweet your MIL will take the kids for the weekend, I hope you get to sleep in. Enjoy your 3.5 mile run.

Laurie...wow, that was sweet to get a red rose from the owners. Good job with BM2...My workout was pain free. Enjoy HSTA and maybe some yoga. That is exciting about Faith being in the cheerleading competition...I do hope she feels better ASAP!

Elaine...way to go passing off the chocolate rose. I am proud of you for getting to the 4 day mark. It is good to feel good...:)

Gayle...I got my weighted gloves at Walmart. Sounds like you are in for full body DOMS...:)

Laura...god job with getting in ME before work yesterday.

I am doing B&G Standing and abs and either a run or the EXT. Imax2 was so fun yesterday, and right now I don't have much pain...:)

Have a great day...:)

I'm laughing. My news just showed an weather report somewhere out east where the weather people are standing outside all huddled up talking about how cold and icky it was (WHY do they have to stand outside anyway?). In the middle of the forecast, a man dressed in nothing but his skivvies runs infront of the camera and dances around. Some people...

Gayle - thanks!!! I indugled in Thin Mints AND Thank Yous (or Tag Alongs - they call them different things - the short bread cookie dipped in chocolate). On the bright side, I did get the urge for the darned things out of my system in one sitting!

Wendy - I second Cardio Fusion...

*Takes wet noodle whip and starts whapping her butt to get herself moving...*

TTFN - off to do Circuit Max...

Hey Carole...I love Chest and Back cause it's a great challenge for me. }( I agree with you about having the strip sets at the beginning of Back and Biceps! My legs are sore from the DM cardio/leg blast + extra leg work I did the other day. Enjoy B&G today. I think I'd die if I tried to do that one with my legs the way they are! LOL

Wendy...wow, sounds like a real leg fryer day you had. I will have to keep that DM premix one in mind...}( :)

Christine—don’t sweat the wine-cookie party last night. It’s a new day and you’re already off to a great start. I think GS cookies are addictive.
We got about 8 inches of snow here and it’s mighty cold. Thanks for the good wishes for DH getting home. At this point, I’m prepared for him to not get here as planned—so I can have a back up plan ready to go for kid-travel tonight. The weather people are too funny. A local guy yesterday showed us how tough it was for him to scrape his windshield....

Gayle—thanks for sending the mishmash. Oh my, that looks hard. I will have to plan for that on a day I have a good breakfast and dinner the night before!

Wendy—MIC will not kill you if you could do that mishmosh you created. But Cardio Fusion is a great choice. Happy and colorful, too!

Carole—That’s so sweet of DH to get you a plant. I’m glad your ham/glute area is on the mend. Have fun with B&G standing. What do you think of the music on that DVD? Sometimes it bugs me after awhile.
