::Cheetahs::SATURDAYis the best day of the week!

Good morning Cheetah babes!

MIA Cheetah with a fly by for now. I hope to catch up with the thread tonight after work. Yesterday was a rest day (as usual) although a very looooong riding day so I guess that made up for it. This morning was a 6 mile hilly run (in a good time, too...54:15, so I'm happy to see some of my speed coming back). It was nice to see the sunrise during my run again, I love that. It's been awhile since I've been able to do that.

Okay, gotta jet to get to work. See yas tonight!

So what's everyone doing this weekend?

I am headed to my niece's B'day party. This is my DH's sister's kid. The crazy italians have 60 person B'day parties for the kids EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!!!!! YIKES! I like going to them cause it's usually fun but I will NEVER do that for my kid. That's just CRAZY!!!!

Today's work out will be the 4DS Chest Shoulders and Triceps premix followed by some cardio. I'm thinkin' a TJ is an order. :7

Well to my surprise nothing hurts after y'day's work out. I know I know...Later on or even tmrw I could be in some serious pain, right? We'll see! }(

Wendi: Nice time on that run girl! You rock!!!

I caught up with personals last night so I guess I'm done here for now but I'll be back!:)

Good Morning Cheetahs :)

Yay it's Saturday :) I just dropped DH off at the high school. He is running an indoor soccer tourney today for boys and girls. DD's team will be playing at 1. We dropped the van off to be checked before we head out on our vacation on Thursday. So I'm driving DH's truck. I so hate riding around in it --feel like I'm driving a tank LOL. Since I'm dressed and awake I figure I'll hit the gym a little earlier than my normal Saturday. I have to do 5miles today and that will be it for today's workout.

Quick question to all. I need your opinions on my long run next week. It's scheduled for Thursday . I am suppose to do 9miles. That's the day we leave. I'm thinking time wise I may switch my long run to Tuesday and just do 5miles on Thursday. I would like to hear what you all think. This is what my schedule will look like for next week.

Sunday : rest
MOnday: 5 miles
Tuesday: 5miles
Wednesday: Circuits
Thursday: 9miles
Friday: rest day
Saturday: 5miles ( a run on the beach) :)
Sunday: Circuits

So if I switch my long run to Tuesday and do 5 on Thursday-- I should be ok--right?

Wendi: How lucky for you to be out running that early. I love runs like that and what a great time :) :)

Wendy: I'm spending my afternoon at the high school to watch some soccer. I think we may head out tonight--depends. DD is having bf issues. This kid needs a kick in the pants. His mom spoils him terribly and he expects the same from DD-- she is so me --so that won't happen
}(

I shall return after my run

Hey ladies,

quickie post and then i am off 'n runnin'!

firepower is done!! i really enjoyed this one, however i guess i will be the odd ball out and say i love providence even better.

i have to go and train my friend and then coach my (biggest looser) team thru their 2nd fitness challenge.

BBL...:)

Morning, cheetahs!

Wendy :: sorry about Joey’s fit yesterday…had to smile at the “cookie store,” though. Disney is still high on my list…what are your thoughts? LMBO about tying ourselves to Shelly with a rope. How’d it go with GH last night?

Sunny :: no party for me last night…but I was earnin’ money, so that’s just as good. What do you think of doing the Disney marathon in January ’09? Would that work for the fam? Thanks for the heads up on the new iTrains. I understand we lose ‘em now if we don’t use ‘em. You’re not the odd ball at all—actually, I don’t have a preference between Firepower and Providence. I heart them both equally. :)

Christine :: true about the 5K…I kinda would like to travel for a big race, though…Have read about Bay to Breakers before & it sounds *exactly* my speed, too. That would be a riot!… That meeting sounds like torture!

Carole :: same for me with XP. The grading is going OK…I’m doing what I can. When the kids ask about their work now, I tell them they’ll be getting it back as a graduation present. How’s the semitendinosus responding to treatment?

Shelly :: I was thinking fall 08 or early 09. I’m not a Disney nut, but it appeals to me as a happy, “up” place to run one’s first marathon. Is that a possibility for you? Am leaning toward that or Chicago, but Philly would certainly be a consideration for its convenience. Will definitely think on the 18 miler, too.

Kath :: thanks, the kids were great! Sounds like you’re all ready for your trip.

Jackie :: :) about the Sajak comment. Any fun planned this weekend or just packing?

Hi Wendi!

I need to get ready...have some AM appointments...later it'll be a workout TBD, a movie, and work.

Have a great day, all!

Good morning cheetahs

Wendi...great time on that hilly 6 miler...WOO HOO!!!

Shelly...yes, I seem to be loving circuits...:)...I did also get HLK and might try it today. Good job with the 4 miles and ITR!

Sunny...breakfast at IHOP with your ds sounds fun...How was the Horton movie? Thanks for the iTrain info. Good job with Firepower.

Kath..Good workout yesterday. This weekend I will just be finishing my taxes up and more decluttering. Oh and of course some workouts...:)..I agree completely with you about driving a big truck...hate it!! I have only driven my DH's truck like twice...I think you would be fine switching your long run to tues..Your Sat run on the beach sounds wonderful...:)

Wendy...I am so sorry about Joey's tantrums! I can see how that could really ruin your day...sending {{{HUGS}}} and hoping that does not happen again...Sounds like you got in a great burning workout. I did a mish mosh of 4 min on my ext, 1 MM chest exercise, 1 MM back exercise and 2 LL exercises and then repeated that. I do enjoy making up my own circuits, it seems fun. Enjoy your 4DS and TJ workout.

Cathy...the semitendinosus seems to be healing up. Thanks for asking..:)..Sounds like you have a busy day planned. What movie will you see?

Jackie...I also watch the background exerciser's in Jari's workouts. Yes, the calorie thing gets old after about 30 seconds...Flash Flood watches??...Hope the weather is better today..

I got my hair highlighted yesterday and then my hairdresser dried it straight!! I have been planning on changing my hairstyle (after about 20 years!!), as I was feeling the constant perming was trashing my hair a bit. So I am going to a straighter and a tad shorter style. WOW, did it seem weird seeing my hair straight!!

I also was a bit annoyed with DH yesterday and marched right into Walmart (after work) and bought that Golds Gym weight bench!!! I got my old bench out of my workout room and put together the new one...it is so COOL!!!!

Today I might give Amy's new HLK a try..

Have a great day...:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Wendi - Nice run today. Glad the speed is picking up again.

Wendy - 60 people at a BD party for a kid! Yikes! Have fun!

Kath - Hope you had a good run!

Sunny - How did the BL challenge go today? Think I'll use my credit on the new itread. The pickings are getting slim and more expensive.

Cathy - Packing today. Enjoy your workout whatever it may be. What movie are you seeing? Hope you enjoy. You so deserve a relaxing weekend.

Carole - We're supposed to have sunshine for the next 3 days. Keeping my fingers crossed. I feel a bit water logged. Your hair sounds so cute. Hope you enjoy it. Serves your DH right to annoy you. I can tell you already love it. Enjoy your workout.

I did CC #6 with Candace. I wanted an easier run today. Kept a 9-10 minute pace and got in 6.2 miles. Did the stretch and relaxation at the end.

Did some more packing last night and more is on schedule for today. I'd better get to it.

Have a wonderful day!

Jackie

Happy Saturday Cheetahs!

Today will be a hike or if not a hike, something. It’s a little overcast, so I’m not 100% positive on the hike. Then GroceryMax etc. We went to dinner last night with friends. We had a crab pasta that was incredible. YUM!! I did survive the meeting, but it was tough. :p Glad it’s over for another 90 days. Ended up doing only the first part of Rock Steady Step – I was brain fried and could not think. So I put Amy’s ASCII in and did the premix that does combined 1&2, then the Power ups, combined 3&4, more Power Ups… It was FUN!

Wendi – glad to see you! Good job on the run! I love seeing the sunrise on my runs, too. It’s such a peaceful feeling out there running while the world around you just starts stirring.

Wendy – Hope DS is better for you today. When the kids get like that, you just want to leave them in the store and leave. I think we’ve all been there. DD15 was a pretty easy baby, but when she was between 2-4 she would occasionally launch into a fit that was a sight to behold. Sorry you had to deal with that yesterday. That’s some birthday party! WOW! Yeah, all of my Italian friends think the more the merrier. My coworker is constantly letting family borrow his house, and having parties. It’s a riot.

Kath – Have fun driving the tank. We have three cars between the two of us, and we’re down to one as we have two in the shop. It’s kind of funny to see the little Mini as the only car in the driveway. Rotation looks good to me.

Sunny – Providence is very different from Firepower – it’s a little more pure. Firepower is more like a Pavel workout with mixed body weight and kettlebell exercises. Newport is like Firepower on steroids. But it’s fun. I like ‘em all. This week I’m doing 20/30 minutes of kettlebells every day. I just wanted to do something different.

Cathy – Yeah, you would love the Bay to Breakers. And it would be such fun to get a room at one of the hotels downtown, and be able to hang out before and after the race. San Francisco is a gorgeous city with lots to do. One day maybe. The race has been held for over 100 years, it will go on. Have fun today!

Carole – Isn’t ITR fun? I really enjoy that one. I think I like HLK a little better… :p Oh, there’s nothing like getting a hair cut or a new style, and having trouble recognizing the person in the mirror. Are you liking it? And just when curly hair is coming back in! :p Good for you for getting your new weight bench. I often times find myself ordering things when I ticked at DH!

Shelly – Glad Straight Up Step is getting easier. I love BMax 2 on the BOSU. That is loads of fun. Now you’re making me want SUS too! I’m going to order CIA Step Jam, so I might get SUS too. We’ll see. ITA that Amy just keeps getting better. I really enjoy her workouts. My rotation this week has a lot of Amy in it, as well as kettlebells.

Jackie – How’s the move going? When is the official move in day? I survived the meeting. Glad it’s over!

Well, the dogs are back to staring me down, willing me to feed them. Both of them this time. Jimmy looks like Kilroy – I can see his eyes over the top of my laptop, but nothing else. I guess I’d better get moving here. :p Have a great day all!

Carole :: OMG! You MUST post some pics!!! I bet it looks gorgeous. Congrats on the new weight bench, too. I'm going to see The Counterfeiter.

Jackie :: Will be seeing The Counterfeiter. Looking forward to the popcorn! Wishing you a productive packing day. :)

Christine :: Dare I go price some flights? ;) :7

I am back from my appointments and feeling laaaaaa-ZEE! My new plan for the day is: chill, catch the movie, work out, and do a little work later this evening. Don't wanna deal with it just yet. :)

TTFN!

Cathy - It's in May - I could get you the exact date. Probably a bit late to book hotels, but you're welcome to stay with us! I'll sign up if you come out.

No hike - I'm going to do HLD and AOS Providence instead (that was my workout for tomorrow, but we'll hike/trail run tomorrow - I call 'em hikes because I always have even though I have since been told what we do is a trail run).

Hey Ladies.

Work out is done, DS is bathed, fed and down for an early nap and mommy and daddy are about to follow suit with the nap thing!:p

Just wanted to pop in quickly to tell y'all...I can't believe I forgot to post it before...DH and I played GH last night and **I** BEAT THE DEVIL and WE WON THE GAME! WOO HOO! We started a new game on "medium" difficulty. Um yah...THIS one is gonna take a while!:p

Okay, off to catch that nap...I should have time for personals when I wake up!

Toodles!:)

Christine,

I see it is the 3rd Sunday in May and there *are* hotels still available. Hmmmm. When I went to SF before, I stayed on the Wharf. Loved the location. How killer are the hills on this one? I'm remembering how WALKING up Russian Hill was a challenge... :)

Since it's kind of soon, I imagine some of us who might be interested may not be able to make it between work, family, and other travel plans. Would anyone be up for this in '09? We could dress as, what else, cheetahs!

I'm back. I kicked some butt again in my run. I'm feeling *speedy* and strong :) except old man was weaving between three lanes. Sure enough when I select the lane he is NOT in--doesn't he dart to mine and I had to stop fast. I think he is friends with the cleaning lady :p Did 5miles in 41:09

Carole: Your new hair style sounds very nice. You should take a picture of your new self :) and share with us :) Is it hard to maintain? I always love to clean closets out and declutter things. DH tends to hold onto things. I toss when he isn't home :)

Wendy: We are going to start to worry about you and GH :) I so suck at it--I can only play one song and I think that is on EASY level :)

Christine: Your hike sounds nice

Cathy: there are a few movies I would like to see as well. WE may save them for when we are on vacation-- IN CASE of bad weather :) Notice I said IN CASE :)

Thanks for the input on my schedule.

Did anyone watch Oprah yesterday? That show was so sad. I can NOT believe that people treat animals like that. So very sad :(

Ok I need to lick--I mean put my salad plate in the dishwasher and flop loads of laundry before I hit soccer.

Have a great Saturday everyone:)

Good morning! I feel guilty this morning! My new running buddy called yesterday and wanted to know if I wanted to run with her and her daughter, who was in town and visiting. She wanted to run at 7:00 this morning. I wanted to so badly! But…I got the message late last night and had just got in from dinner and was feeling full, tired, yucky…overwhelmed, you name it. So I declined. And I really should have done it :<(

I ended up running at around 10:30 and ran 10.50 miles. It was a really good run with lots of hills. But I should have gone with them :<(

Cathy – I did EKB yesterday! I really enjoyed it a lot! It was a lot faster paced, (as we were already warned ;>) ) But fun. There is a Turkish Getup section towards the end that I just cannot do. I did like 2 of them and then chaptered forward to the abs. I will build up to that. I really like the ab section that he has at the end. It is pretty “complete”! I think you will be happy with it! I like your idea to chill, catch the movie, workout.

Jackie – I am planning to run a 15 miler in August and “hopefully” a marathon in November. There is also a 9 miler in June that I want to run. (I think it is June) I need to register before I forget! Good job with RTTC and rolling yesterday! Good job with the CC#6 today!

Kath – Great job on your run! Great time! I’ll be the man and the cleaning lady are in cahoots! (lol….spelling????)

Wendy – Bless your heart! I am so sorry Joey threw the fit on you!!! It sounds so familiar though!! Just like a few that my grandson, Chase, has thrown on Anna and me!!! No fun! Great job on the workout!! Hope it burned some stress out of your day!
Good job on beating your DH on GH!

Carole – I’ll bet your hair looks great! Good for you on going in a getting that weight bench! Glad you like it!! I hope you enjoy HLK! I loved, loved, it!!

Shelly – You asked about the races in WV that I have planned. Well…now that you mention it ;>) There is a 9 miler locally that I am planning on running (soon). There is the Charleston Distance Run to kick of the Regatta. (It is the Saturday before labor day). Then my biggie is “planned…hoping” a marathon ….the Marshall Marathon in November. It is the first of November. I went and checked my DVD’s and it is Seasun’s “The Next Step” that has the double step. I am floored that you did ITR twice!!! Super Cheetah, for a fact!

Wendi – Great job on your morning 6 miler! That was really good time, too!

Christine – Good job on your Amy yesterday! There has been several times I put in Seasun’s workouts, start them….and just take them out and start on something else. I love them, but sometimes …I just can’t get into the “thinking” . I finally did EKB and loved it! Enjoy HLD and Providence! Enjoy your trail run …or hike….tomorrow!!!

Sunny - Hey there! good job on Providence! I love that one. I think "maybe"....but the jury is still out on it...that I like it better than EKB. Enjoy your training and coaching!

Hi to anyone that I may have missed and that checks in later!!!

Linda

Jackie...I am liking my hair....once I get used to it!! I absolutely love the new weight bench...and doing the preacher curls really does seem to target the biceps. Good job with your 6.2 miles and stretch. I hope the packing goes well.

Chrsitine..I think I prefer ITR to HLK...:)..I do like my hair and it was way past time for a change. I know I can always curl it too...:)..I just wanted an easy style that I could do a few things with. Yes, passing the mirror is weird!! I LOVE the new weight bench!! Have fun with HLD and Providence.

Cathy...ahhh, thanks...I will post some pics when I get a chance, don't hold your breath...:)..Hope you enjoy the movie.

Wendy...way to go with GH!!

Kath...LOL about the old man..the new style just requires a bit more blow drying but it is easy to mantain. Eventually I will get a pic posted. I think we might have the same DH...:D..I love to throw out his clutter when he is not home!! One of my clients told me about the Oprah show...there is now way I would have watched..:(

Linda...Don't feel guilty! I might have passed under those circumstances myself. And geeze...you got in a great run!! HLK was a bit confusing for me, I think I like ITR a bit better...Love the weight bench. Thanks re my hair...

So I did about 30 min of HLK, had a bit of trouble with some of the moves, Hi/Lo might not be my thing, but I did love the ab section! Then I tried out leg extensions on the new bench, they felt great and the preacher curls really get into the bicep so I am very happy with the purchase.
