:::: CHEETAHS :::: hump day, 4.25

Hi Ladies.

I'm in a x( mood right now. ACK! I didn't get my intended run in after my shift at work today b/c DS was being a BEAR! He put mom in a bad mood as a result. :-( I am planning to head for the gym when DH gets home and the time can't come soon enough!!!

I recieved Yoga Shakti in the mail today. I previewed about 10 mins of it and all I can say is BUMMER! I am not going to like it, I can tell. Anyone wanna buy it off me? I'm serious. I don't even have to try it to know that it's not for me. I paid $20.00 for it. I'll sell right now if someone wants it. I have a feeling that I am going to go broke and/or gray trying to find another yoga vid that I enjoy. :-(

I'll be back in a better mood for personals later I hope!

Have a good day.

Hi guys. I'm back for a quick check in to get caught up on you Cheetahs!

Jackie-I may have to buy that iTread next. I LOVE doing sprints!

Carole-DS is a HUGE Cowboys fan!!! Late DH was also and it wore off on him. lol He's SUCH a fan that there have been a few close games where he's actually CRIED because they lost! lol Too funny!

Wendy-do you have any Rodney Yee? I'm not an expert on yoga at all, but I'm really LOVING his Power Yoga Total Body DVD. Next on my list to purchase is his Yoga Burn. Just a thought.

OK....grass got done, FINALLY! I ended up catching and bagging 3/4 of the yard, which took me over 3 hours to do. I jumped on the riding mower for the last bit of it. I was rushing to get the bags out to the curb since garbage pick up is today. lol Good workout, lugging 20+ bags clear across my yard.

Zach and I are at my parents's house now. Mom took him when he got home from school, so I could finish the lawn. She treated him to his fave...Pizza Hut. I, however, am always glad when I can stay out of that place; I'm not so fond it their food at ALL! lol

Gayle,

Haven't given Rodney a shot yet. What's he like? I don't like the elevator music. I don't like when the instructors seem to be whispering the instruction and strongly prefer the background scenery of a studio rather then a beach or something. To sum it up, I like athletic style yoga. I can't handle the spiritual stuff! LOL I was considering Yoga Zone next but I'll give Rodney a try too if you think he'd be a good option.

Nice job on the lawn mowing Gayle! Holy cow! I can't even get DH to mow our tiny little lawn on a regular basis and here you are push mowing your huge piece of land! I would mow the grass myself but I am afraid of the lawn mower! I have been for years so I only mow the lawn in times of dire need! LOL

Well, I just finished 60 mins worth of Yoga X and am feeling a bit more sociable now. ;) I did all of the vinyasa segment, skipped the balance postures and yoga belly 7 and then picked what I wanted to do from the rest of it....so it was yoga w/a nice basic stretch at the end. :)

I'm going to grab a snack and some coffee and if DS isn't lookin' to get up, I will be back in 5 for personals!:)

Okay...I have my sammich and my coffee...all is quiet on the homefront so here we go...:)

Cathy: I don't know what thread it was in but you asked me what brand of natural PB I eat. I actually buy the no frills brand at Pathmark. It's the cheapest and it tastes fine to me. On occassion a name brand will be cheaper if there is a sale so I've bought them too and I don't taste the difference. :)

SunnyD: I don't think I've done the overall legs premix of B&G yet. How does it compare to the Leg Blast? }(

Kristi: Have a good rest day. Hope you had a nice lunch too!

Carole: That's one heck of a work out you have planned for today! Sounds long! How long will that take you to complete??

Linda: Are the work outs you did today the ones by Tracy Staehle??

Jackie: I have the ITread you are talking about. Doing it TWICE!? OMG girl! You are my hero!!!!

Susan: So what do you think of BBC so far?

Susan - Sounds like you had a great workout! Do you like BBC?

Wendy - Yes, it was Tracy Staehle's workouts. It was my first time doing them. Glad you feel better after doing the yoga! Great job!

Gayle - Wow! That was a lot of yard work! You sure got your workout in with the yoga AND the lawn!

Wendy-LOL on your 'type' of yoga....it matches mine. I have no patience for the slow, whispery, feel-good yoga workouts. I do, however, like the POWER yoga. I say give him a shot. Again, the only yoga I've done is Yoga X, Yee's Power Yoga....both of them I like a LOTTTTTT! I've also tried 3 other yoga workouts and it was too spiritual for me. ANYWAY......try him. If you get a Yee workout and end up not liking him, I may just have to take it off your hands! LOL

And yes...this yard is a LOT of work. The funny thing is, when DH was alive, it was his PLEASURE to do the yard. You know how some men really take pride in their lawns. Well....I've turned into that person! LOL. Usually, I just cut it and let the grass fly. But since it's the beginning of the season and I like my grass SHORT, I caught it all today and cut it really short. Now, the goal is to stay on top of it and KEEP it short all summer long. I've decided older DS is now old enough to help, so he's being given the walk-behind one which is safest for him. ANYWAY......

Sorry to ramble. Kids are calling.

Gayle

Hi Ladies.

I'm back from the gym. I knocked out Itread set 5/40 mins. Lots of hills in this one and 2 sprints. It was killer!}(

Tomorrow the plan is for an a.m. spin class at the gym and then BBC's full body work out at nap time.

Gayle...You are selling Rodney hard! I will get over to collage and see if I can pull up a clip from one of his work outs. I think this might be the ticket as you and I have similar taste in yoga styles! Thanks for the advice!:) My step dad used to be one of those guys who liked to do yard work. He was all over it. My DH, however, is a TOTALLY different story...ACK!x(

Checked out Rodney at Collage. I also found a Mark Blanchard DVD and a Yoga Zone that I thought I'd like. Now I have to pick one. Decisions decisions! :7

Cheetahs Check-in

This was one of those days. Hell days I like to call them. Days like this have been piling up on me lately. I was tired last night but did not settle down until midnight. I was so ready for a restful night of sleep, but it was not to be. I did not sleep a wink last night. Why? So glad you asked. A couple of rowdy young men decided to have a shouting match between midnight and 3:00 a.m. outside my window! Did I mention that I hate obscene language? Hate it, hate it, hate it. I was tempted to grab a bar of soap and go outside and wash their mouths out with soap and choke them with the bar of soap while I was at it so I could get some sleep. They seemed violent, so I decided to pray instead. Very effective! I started praying, a big storm rolled in, and they left!

Since I could not sleep, I beat myself up for eating unclean yesterday. I was bloated and miserable all night. I started thinking about my mother’s upcoming visit in a few weeks and the Road Trip and how big my butt still is and was feeling like a total failure. Why oh why is it taking me so many years to shed this blasted fat?! Those negative tapes were playing over and over again in my head. I think the devil was having a party in and around my home. Out my house! Out my house! In the mighty name of Jesus!

I started reading Beth Moore’s new book this morning, which inspired me and made me laugh out loud. Yes, I am in a pit in more ways than one. Yes, I feel stuck. Yes, I want to get out. I love Miss Beth! I did my Breaking Free Bible study lesson and was fired up and ready for my beloved Kick Max boot camp challenge premix.

Kick Max was interesting to say the least. Cathe was green this morning. Yes, green. I thought I had a pickle juice hangover that was clouding my vision, which would have been better than the realization that my new TV (that I bought a little over a year ago) is on the fritz. The warranty expired last month, and this repair would cost more than I paid for the thing brand new! I did not budget for a new TV this month. My original TV was a 1991 model that was still going strong but did not connect to a DVD player, so I bought a new one last year expecting at least a few good years out of it. According to the guy at the repair shop, most TVs that were made after 1991 are junk and are built to survive the warranty period. I want to do some research before I invest in a new TV, so it looks like I will have to deal with pickle juice Cathe for a few more days. Thankfully, the sound is fine. But everything is neon green. Everything. It looks like viewing the world through green tinted glasses. On the bright side, I have another weapon if those rowdy men return tonight. That and my scale. I hate my scale the morning after succumbing to the lure of a giant pickle. I hate sodium bloat. I think I should hurl my scale and my green screen TV at the next hooligan who interrupts my sleep.

I was too tired to move today. My boss returned to the office after being out since last Thursday, and he was not in a good mood. Yes, it was hell day.

I like to end each day on a positive note. I went to the club tonight and jogged in the pool with Rebecca. She prayed over me, and I felt much better after her intervention. I picked out a new TV tonight that will not break the bank. It looks like an LCD TV is in my future. This one has a digital tuner and an analog tuner. I want to read a few reviews before I make a final decision, but the price is right. Everything is converting to digital eventually, so I will be prepared. After writing recently that I would not buy a new TV for Cathe’s digital downloads, here I am buying a new TV (but not by choice).

Speaking of new toys, I ordered my digital camera today! I am excited! It is time to call it a day.

Blessings,
Heather B.
