Christine - Thanks for posting a sample of your rotation! I may do start one like that when I get back from Aruba. That looks great! That is so funny about our daughter's name! Awww! Your daughter's full name if pretty! It is funny, cause my grandaughter's name is Chloe "Christiana"! I have Kelly's Step Boxing and NYC. They are great! I love them. The Step Boxing was a little tricky for me the first time, though!

awwwwww, you ladies are the absolute greatest. you made me look at things in a different light. if that one wasn't meant to be i will continue on my quest. I am claiming 2007!!! I've already registered for a few more certifications that will help me.

wendy- soooooooo glad to hear joey is doing much better. i keep putting off p90x because i am afraid of all those pushups. i need to just go on and BRING IT! lol, when are you starting your X rotation?

marcia- thanks for answering my many questions, LOL.

christine- happy bday!!! i changed my mind 3x's since responding to your post yesterday. first i was gonna do P90x, then s & H and when i finally sat down to write it up i went with amy bento. maybe for 2 weeks and the s & h for 2 weeks....sometimes being a pisces can be frustrating. so darn indecisive, lol. your rotation looks great, now i want to do the one you put together:p

cathy- welcome back! awesome pics!!! sounds like you had an amazing time.

elaine- i can tell thru your posts you are just the sweetest person. thanks for the extra prayer. i can use each and every one. i am hoping to hear back sometime the week after next. the director is going away on vacation next week.

have any of you ladies received your cathe calendar yet?

Linda :: thanks ~ I’m glad to be home safe, too…it sure was a white-knuckler of a return trip! Now even though you sent me a Christmas card, I’m trying to remember where you’re from – is it NY? Do you ski much? I’m not a P90x user, so I know your questions weren’t necessarily directed toward me, but I tend to run as my primary cardio…I would say if you are training for anything racewise, you’d need to run at least 3x a week. So, I'd say, too, that doing one or two body parts per day should allow you to balance both your running and lifting.

Elaine :: hope you had a good workout today that busts you out of your current rut. I know just what you mean… once you’re in a cycle – whether good or bad – it can be hard to snap out of it.
Glad you’re having fun with your new Shuffle. I’m going to pick up the Vegan Planet cookbook Carole & Christine have talked about…not going totally vegan…I am a meat and potatoes kinda girl, for sure…but I could definitely benefit from upping my veggies as Christine said.

Sunny :: thanks for the welcome back…I loved your enthusiasm about the new year and making it yours! Yes, I have received my calendar…it’s great! Did you get yours yet? I know you ordered, right? }(

OK, I have been napping off and on since noon. It's a sloth day. I'm still skiing in my mind. :) And I can't wait for tomorrow's massage!! Will probably drop in again later as I'm just messin' around the rest of the day.

Hi cheetahs! I actually have time for a second post today:7 :7 :7
wooohoooo a second cheetahfix to pick me up! I had a great 5 mile run today keeping the pace about 8:30min/mile. I'm going to take my motorcycle out for a spin and then some kickboxing!

SunnyD- I like your attitude!!!!! Any "disappointments" are really learning experiences and opportunities for improvement. I'm still willing to bet you may be surprised. I got my Cathe calendar last week. They did a great job with it. It's right next to my computer in fact.

Wendy- I bet you'll find that you are not as "behind" as you think you are when you start your rotation. Good luck with your blood draw appointment with your little sweetie!!!! I'll send a prayer that your phlebotomist will be in top form! I think it's always harder on the parents in these situations than on the kiddos!

Cathy- LOVE your pics!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I especially like the last one of you! Glad you let us know it you!!!
You sound like you endured a travel nightmare but I guess it's better than being stuck in Denver now! We were getting concerned that you might end up stranded there. I was relieved to see your post!

Jess- I finally got to see your pics of you and Susan.... fantastic! The two of you are hot looking cheetahs! But I was especially impressed with the pics of those 6 adorable girls!!!!!!!!

Christine- I've never done a 12k race.... that does sound like a fun distance. I see plenty of hill repeat workouts in your future.
Do you have many hilly areas to practice? It's funny.... you should come visit me. If I start running from my driveway and go around my "block" back to my driveway it is EXACTLY 7.2 miles of UBER hills! S&H and p90x should train your legs well I think.

Carole- Your marathon relay is mid Jan? Is it by any chance on the 14th? I was wondering if we'll be running on the same day. :7

Linda- Christine's advice to you sounds great for increasing your mileage. I'm a big fan of circuit workouts with weights myself.... I think they complement running very well. Just slowly increase your long runs each weekend.... you'll be running half marathons before you know it!

Elaine- We've all been there with the vicious eating , feeling bad, eating more cycle. Whats important isn't the occasional "bad" episodes but your overall fitness level and lifestyle which is in a word....superb !!! I was feeling nervous about my upcoming marathon because I've had so many setbacks. Getting that 20 miler done was such a relief to me. Now I am excited!!!

Okay... I'm off to play...

Cathy - I am from Charleston, WV. We have Snowshoe, Timberline, Silver Creek and and a couple of other ski resorts. Nothing like where you were, though ;) Running is my primary cardio, too. I was running 6 days a week, but I felt like that was too much running. Now I am trying to run at least 4 times a week. I just have never done anything other than a 10k....other than training.

Shelly - Good job on the run! Have fun with the ride and KB! Thanks for the advice and heads up!

Linda

Linda :: when I trained for my half, I was running 5x a week - my standard was usually a 6 mile run 4x a week with 1 day reserved for a long run (I never went over 10 miles.) I'm sure that you can also do it with 4 runs per week. It'd be worth checking out one of the training programs over at Runner's World to be safe.

Shelly :: thanks for the good thoughts! I know it is hard to see much of anything in my abominable snowwoman pic :), so I'll try to post one more. I'm usually *behind* the camera, so I'm never in many shots. (There *is* a closeup of me apres ski, but it's absolutely hideous and I refuse to post it here.) So, in this one, I'm still fairly bundled up - I'm third from the left - but you can *sorta* see that I have a face. *lol*

Cathy...I am glad you thumb is better. It was fun running over the Golden Gate...even with some stomach issues because of the rich San Fran food the night before...I hope to do it again. I have been horrible with chips...so I am thinking I will have to buckle down Jan 1st too...damn...:)...but I have a couple of days until then....:)...and missy....you did NOT look like the Michelin Tire Man!!!!!!! I don't think they make ski clothes terribly flattering to anyone. Which is why I don't ski...I like the pic of the 4 of you too!

Linda...I hope to be able to do a marathon again one day. I just struggle with the mileage these days. I bet you could do a half with no problem...:)

Elaine...I go thru that same stuff with eating crap and not wanting to work out. You are tough and you will get back on track soon...Yes it did take awhile for the car to be fixed as the Auto shop was swamped. But they did a nice job so I am happy...I have done a marathon relay with my sister before, but never a 3 person one. I might do the start...we are not sure yet and to me it doesn't matter. The 1st leg is 9.4, the 2nd 7.6 (and hilly), the last is 9.2.

Christine...I was happy to make Anna feel special, I am sure she is...:)..I am feeling better, thanks.

Shelly...great pace for your 5 miler. My marathon relay is on the 14th!! We will have to send each other running vibes...:)...here is the site if you want to check it out http://reddingmarathon.sweatrc.com/

I just did 4 miles today an bagged the legwork. I hope to get in a good workout tomorrow...:)

Thanks, Carole! I suppose you're right - not many people look small in ski gear! One thing I just can't get over is that I have no muscle soreness at all (besides my neck, which I attribute to the fall). It's *such* a huge difference in my fitness level from last season...I feel really good about it (and am thanking Cathe many times over!) Oh, hey, I had a little chip feeding frenzy myself yesterday...mmm, the sour cream & cheddar are a weakness!
