Afternoon, cheetahs
Marcia ::: sorry to hear about the female problems (2 months! That sucks!) and that you don’t have any immediate answers to ease your mind. Fingers are crossed that everything checks out on Tuesday and there’s a manageable treatment here. We’re with ya in spirit, ya know, and sending LOTS of hugs, support, and positive vibes!!…Re: yoga…I like 10 Min. Solutions: Yoga and Rodney Yee Beginners’ Yoga (that might not be the exact title) and think both would be good choices for someone just starting out. You might also enjoy Yee’s Yoga Conditioning for Athletes. YogaX is tough – and LONG – I love yoga and appreciate Tony’s athletic approach, but it’s not a favorite of mine. I’d say try 10 Min. Solutions – I think they are only $10. That one has: Yoga Basics, Yoga for Buns & Thighs, Yoga for Abs, Yoga Burn, and Yoga for Flexibility and Relaxation. Each is a 10 minute section you can do alone or in combination depending on your needs or time constraints.
Sunny ::: hey, gardening involves hard work, so don’t feel bad about ditching the w/out yesterday…sounds like you more than made up for it today!...not sure about the avatar…I did see it at first but not anymore. WOW – thanks for the review of the k’boxing w/out…I will be going to check it out after I post.
Gayle ::: glad the room renovations are going smoothly. With the way you've been training lately, there's no doubt you'll make your goal on Sunday.
Linda ::: glad to know I am not alone on the appetite front!…I have not been able to squeeze in Fluidity, have you? I’ve concluded the demands of the X as is are enough…CS + a run is a good combo.
Jackie ::: I prefer morning w/outs, too (I guess it’s obvious I’m a morning person, eh?), but once I switched careers to teaching, I guess you could say I was forced to adapt to a new schedule. I do miss starting the day on an “up” and having it out of the way…Esp. since evening workouts sometimes get thwarted…but overall, I have adjusted fairly well to working out in the afternoon/evening and I just try to be as flexible as possible.
Carole ::: darn it re: the P90 results & eating…that’s not what I would like to hear *lol*
Susan ::: thanks for the review of BBS S&B…I have not gotten to that one yet…another month of X and I’ll be able to join you all in BBC-madness!
Wendy ::: We stopped at Woodbury on our way home from VT last month…it was really just a quick pitstop…I saw the Lucky store but did not go in…hmm, I wonder if Jackson has a Lucky store.
Shelly ::: how ‘bout that! AWESOME that you had a PR, after all!…Great run today.
Christine ::: wow, Jimmy is making great progress with the commands already!…I’m glad you’re liking the new job. Sounds like a good place to be.
I did forget to report in about my w/outs...Last night, I did C&B and ARX. Worked hard. Today is supposed to be Plyo, but I was either going to sub a run or switch up & take today as a rest day (which I seem to be doing now on Tuesdays). I'm thinking rest day but still haven't made up my mind.
Here's a random question: Does anyone know what a stye (sp?) feels like? I don't see a noticeable bump on/near my eye, but starting yesterday, my eyelid has felt unusually sensitive. The corner of my eye was pretty red last night, and it itches occasionally. At first, I feared it could be pink eye, but this morning there was none of the telltale gunk. (Sorry if TMI.) My eyes are normally kind of bloodshot, anyway, so it's hard to figure out what (if anything) is going on. Supposedly, Accutane can make your eyes dry/sensitive, esp. if you wear contacts, so I don't know if it's just a little sensitive right now or what.
