:::: CHEETAH RUNNERS :::: 4.24

Linda- i didn't get her first kickboxing one since there were so many negative reviews and i didn't feel like it was long enough. this one fits the bill perfectly:)

shelly- awww, you are so sweet. i hope once you purchase you love it as much as i do.

marcia- my thoughts have been with you today. i have a good feeling all will be well.

susan- hehehe, i knew you would love that workout. wink, wink

ttyl...

ShellyC - Thank you so much for the idea - I do have YogaX, but haven't had a chance to try it. The length of it and the fact I'm not much of a yoga girl - yet - deterred me from it. I will give it a shot, thanks!

Sunny - I appreciate the positive thoughts! :)

Marcia.

Hey gals!

Jumping Jimmy and I are back. I did start my new job yesterday. The job is a good one, too. I can tell the difference already between this and my old company. Funny, my old company is on the stock market and established and all, this one is definitely a start up, but if you just spent a few days with both companies you'd think it was the other way around.

And I'm actually at home right now checking on Jimmy and doing some training - he sits, downs, shakes paws, stays, and comes - and every one of those is shaky if there is a distraction. But that's okay we're working on it. Now if only I can get him to walk on a leash and not trip me! He's as goofy as ever and ever so happy to see me when I get home (nothing like a wiggling puppy to make you smile when you walk in the door after a hard day!). Best get back to the office! Enjoy everyone! Sorry it's so quick...

Just wanted to tell Marcia that she's in my prayers! I hope all is well - and actually, it's not that unusual, so it will probably be nothing *knocks on wood*

And Shelly- I never did tell you - WAY TO GO on your Cheetah run! You "ONLY" took 2nd place for your age group. You're amazing!

Shelly - The only one of Tracey's that I have actually done is her first step one. So...I am not really sure. That one was pretty intense and the kickboxing one that Sunny was talking about looks intense....so I would say it is a toss up between those two. I will let you know when I do them. Her new step one looks good, too....but the first half doesn't look real intense.

Susan - I am so glad you liked BBC! I love it! Yummy! Indian Food! Enjoy!

Christine - Sounds like little Jimmy is really doing well! Glad your new job is going well! Sounds like you like it a lot more than the other one!

Afternoon, cheetahs :)

Marcia ::: sorry to hear about the female problems (2 months! That sucks!) and that you don’t have any immediate answers to ease your mind. Fingers are crossed that everything checks out on Tuesday and there’s a manageable treatment here. We’re with ya in spirit, ya know, and sending LOTS of hugs, support, and positive vibes!!…Re: yoga…I like 10 Min. Solutions: Yoga and Rodney Yee Beginners’ Yoga (that might not be the exact title) and think both would be good choices for someone just starting out. You might also enjoy Yee’s Yoga Conditioning for Athletes. YogaX is tough – and LONG – I love yoga and appreciate Tony’s athletic approach, but it’s not a favorite of mine. I’d say try 10 Min. Solutions – I think they are only $10. That one has: Yoga Basics, Yoga for Buns & Thighs, Yoga for Abs, Yoga Burn, and Yoga for Flexibility and Relaxation. Each is a 10 minute section you can do alone or in combination depending on your needs or time constraints.

Sunny ::: hey, gardening involves hard work, so don’t feel bad about ditching the w/out yesterday…sounds like you more than made up for it today!...not sure about the avatar…I did see it at first but not anymore. WOW – thanks for the review of the k’boxing w/out…I will be going to check it out after I post.

Gayle ::: glad the room renovations are going smoothly. With the way you've been training lately, there's no doubt you'll make your goal on Sunday.

Linda ::: glad to know I am not alone on the appetite front!…I have not been able to squeeze in Fluidity, have you? I’ve concluded the demands of the X as is are enough…CS + a run is a good combo.

Jackie ::: I prefer morning w/outs, too (I guess it’s obvious I’m a morning person, eh?), but once I switched careers to teaching, I guess you could say I was forced to adapt to a new schedule. I do miss starting the day on an “up” and having it out of the way…Esp. since evening workouts sometimes get thwarted…but overall, I have adjusted fairly well to working out in the afternoon/evening and I just try to be as flexible as possible.

Carole ::: darn it re: the P90 results & eating…that’s not what I would like to hear *lol*

Susan ::: thanks for the review of BBS S&B…I have not gotten to that one yet…another month of X and I’ll be able to join you all in BBC-madness! :)

Wendy ::: We stopped at Woodbury on our way home from VT last month…it was really just a quick pitstop…I saw the Lucky store but did not go in…hmm, I wonder if Jackson has a Lucky store.

Shelly ::: how ‘bout that! AWESOME that you had a PR, after all!…Great run today.

Christine ::: wow, Jimmy is making great progress with the commands already!…I’m glad you’re liking the new job. Sounds like a good place to be.

I did forget to report in about my w/outs...Last night, I did C&B and ARX. Worked hard. Today is supposed to be Plyo, but I was either going to sub a run or switch up & take today as a rest day (which I seem to be doing now on Tuesdays). I'm thinking rest day but still haven't made up my mind.

Here's a random question: Does anyone know what a stye (sp?) feels like? I don't see a noticeable bump on/near my eye, but starting yesterday, my eyelid has felt unusually sensitive. The corner of my eye was pretty red last night, and it itches occasionally. At first, I feared it could be pink eye, but this morning there was none of the telltale gunk. (Sorry if TMI.) My eyes are normally kind of bloodshot, anyway, so it's hard to figure out what (if anything) is going on. Supposedly, Accutane can make your eyes dry/sensitive, esp. if you wear contacts, so I don't know if it's just a little sensitive right now or what.

Thanks, Cathy, for the suggestions on yoga workouts, I'll check those out.

Let me just say this group of CHEETAH's ROCK THE HOUSE DOWN!! :) :7 :* You ladies and the support you gave me today was unreal and sooooooo much appreciated. I came here with a problem and just your thoughts and nice comments of reassurance have been a blessing for me. :* Thank you :* Thank you :* Thank you :* Seriously, you have helped me get through a tough day of worry and not understanding. I feel better and know that a good night's sleep is definitely in order and hopefully will happen so I can feel like myself again.

Needless to say, I didn't workout tonight. First, DS came into my office after school with a really sore and swollen foot from playing soccer in phy ed and missing the ball and him and another kid kicked each other (oops) so he is laying down with his leg raised up and ice every so often. UGH! Aren't we a pair tonight. DH is playing pool so we are alone and probably just as well, we can just lay around together :7

Sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to make sure you realized how important your comments and thoughts were to me today (and everyday).

Thank you, have a great evening.
Marcia.

Carole - Good idea to do a trial run of the course before committing. Good workout today!

Susan - I can feel your excitement about being able to run again. Yes, don't overdo. How was the Indian cuisine with the girls? Glad you enjoyed BBC and the eye candy.

Wendy - One button, huh? That is low. I'd better stay away from those. LOL!! At least, you know one person that will love them.

Shelly - Congratulations on your PR!! Know you are feeling great that your training paid off. I knew you were a fast Cheetah! I know you're going to do an awesome job with your HM too. You have to release that energy somewhere, right? Good job on your run today!

Gayle - Glad the painting is all done. Are the boys excited?

Marcia - Sorry you have to wait for test results. Will continue to keep you in prayer that everything is ok. I like any yoga that's 30 minutes or less. I do a lot of Yoga Zone because they're under 20 minutes. Hope DS foot is ok.

Sunny - Thanks for the review of Tracey's KB. I'm doing it on Friday.

Christine - Glad the new job is going well. Jimmy is really smart.

Cathy - I'm just the opposite. I use to work out in the evenings and had to adjust to mornings. Now, I wouldn't go back to evening for anything. To me, my workouts are better than a cup of coffee. I feel energized all day long. Never had a sty but know some people who have had them. It's like a little bump on the eyelid.

Dancing With the Stars is on. Gotta go see who's going home tonight - if I can stay awake.

Have a good night!

Jackie

Cheetahs Check-in

I am tired and hoping to get to bed early tonight, so this will be a quick check-in for me. I did the Low Max step premix this morning followed by the Muscle Max upper body push pull premix. I love both of these workouts.

I did not pack my meals and snacks today, so I went to a local sandwich shop for lunch and ate a cheese sandwich on homemade whole wheat bread with a huge pickle. I can tell that I am bloated from all the sodium in the pickle. Step away from the scale!

Kick Max is in my DVD player for tomorrow morning. I am not sure if I will do the workout as produced or stick with my favorite boot camp challenge premix. My boss is planning to be in the office all day, so this will be a great way to start my day.

My friend Rebecca is hooked on Nutiva hemp protein powder now thanks to my recommendation, and I cannot find it anywhere in town. She keeps buying all they have in stock!

I went to James Avery tonight and replaced a necklace that kept falling off because the clasp was broken. I was planning to have it repaired, but they offered me a nice discount on a replacement if I traded in the old one. I have a shiny new chain for my charm.

I am planning to start an intense 10-day cleaning project tomorrow. I am increasing my intake of fruits and veggies as well as spring water to cleanse my body, and I am hoping to clear a bunch of clutter out of my home. I have way too much stuff. Taming the paper tiger is my first priority. I also need to downsize my collection of workout shoes.

Blessings,
Heather B.
