Good morning, cheetahs :)

Marcia :: great job getting out there to run…don’t worry – you’ll build up your base again. I lost a little endurance from scaling back this winter, too.

Wendy :: AWESOME on the Lucky jeans!! Which outlet did you go to? Jackson? Woodbury Commons? I like the Easy Rider or Classic Rider fit…the low ones never work for this booty. Did they have a big selection?

Judy :: thanks for the encouragement…yes, I’ve definitely made progress, and I’m sure it’s not just in my head b/c I am hearing comments from others, so they must be seeing it, too. Have you made a decision about the walk?

Shelly :: glad you’ve let the 5K roll off your back…Considering how poorly-planned the route was, I don’t think you can blame yourself for a slightly (but not much!) slower time. You did great. Really! And of course, not every race can be a PR, :) but you are still a cheetah goddess…Thanks for the boost re: the pics.

Jackie :: wow, you had (another) fierce workout there…do you typically w/out before work?

Carole :: Yup! I think that’s what it means. *lol* :) great w/out!

Susan :: no, I haven’t been to a class since the fall…Between work, grad school, and the approaching holidays, I was too crunched for time to squeeze it in…Since doing the X, I’ve added it back in but have been content practicing at home. It is certainly cheaper!…Hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Sunny :: how was the new k’boxing w/out?

Linda :: thanks – you’re right – that’s what I need to focus on – the measurements, not the number on the scale or the pics…Have fun with CS today!…I think we need to be patient with the X…and I definitely need to reign in my eating…BUT I think I am hungrier when I lift heavy…

Kristi :: I think you should do the X after your HM! I’m sure you’ll do great and will have every reason to feel proud of your accomplishment!!

I'm out of time here...Hi Gayle & Heather!... Wonder if Christine's still bouncing around with Jimmy somewhere. :)

Have a great day, everyone!
Cathy :)

Mornin' Cheetahs - My circuit class went great last night. I changed my end date to two weeks earlier because the weather is so nice and I know they'd rather be outside which is fine with me, I'd rather, too. BUT, three of them begged me to go one more week afterwards. I decided to but I couldn't do Mondays - well, one of them said they'd give it a try. She did earlier in the year and it wasn't organized or very well received at all. So, I'm wondering if I should've ??? but, she needs to get some extra practice in, too, if she is going to try doing more often.

I'm off to the doctor today (keep fingers crossed please :) ) I'm not sure how much information everyone would like, but to make a long story short I've been having TTOM for over two months straight! Something not right and if nothing else, they need to get me on some medication or something  ! Anyway, that's at 9am this morning.....Happy thoughts, trying to keep happy thoughts......

Marcia.

Good morning ladies,

cathy- i didn't workout yesterday. for some reason right after i got off the computer i lost my motivation:( so i went outside and did some gardening. have a great day!

marcia- happy thoughts, happy thoughts:) i hope all is well with you. you sound like such an awesome instructor. i wanna take your classes:)

wendy- did i miss any news re: your pt test?

kristi- the vacation was awesome. i was well rested until i came back home;) . i am so excited for your HM this weekend. i know you are going to do a great job!! can't wait for the details.

this morning i am going to do the TS k'boxing workout i didn't do yesterday. (i had two clients scheduled for this a.m. and they both had to reschedule, so i have some time, wooohhhoo). my plan is to also do amy bento's UB from all pump extreme later on this afternoon. we'll see...it's been so nice outside, that's where i want to be.

for some reason my new avatar is not showing anymore...and i don't know how to fix it. any ideas?

ttyl...:)

Thanks Sunny, I wish all of you could too. That would be so fun!!! I worked em' hard last night, that's for sure! }( I just love doing that, I think they can tell what kind of class it will be the minute they walk in.....depends on my mood usually :7

Marcia.

Good morning ladies! We've got one more day of warm weather before the rain moves in tomorrow for a few days. Forecast for race weekend is dry and upper 60s. PERFECT!

This morning's workout was an easy 3 mile run then BM2 upper body. That tricep segment gets me everytime....those dips on the dumbbell! LOL

Getting the second (and hopefully last) coat of paint on DS's room right after the bus. The room is looking really cool. I was a bit afraid of all that blue, but it's actually pretty awesome. Can't wait to post the before and after pics.

OK...gotta get the boys to the bus, then painting, then off to mom's group to babysit. Sorry for a hit and run post again. BBL

Gayle

Good morning!

Cathy - I am definitely a lot hungrier when I lift heavy! I feel like I am literally a bottomless pit!

Marcia - Good luck at the doctor! I hope they get you straightened out! That has got to be aggravating!

Sunny - Welcome back and I am glad you had fun! I didn't get to see your new avatar yesterday! It wasn't showing up for me then, either. I got TS's new workouts....and I still have not done any of them :+ I did preview....but that is as far as I have gotten!

Gail - Good job on the run and BM2 upper! We are going to be getting rain for the next few days, too. Have fun painting! Bet it looks great :)

This morning I did CS (but did not do the bonus) and ran 5 miles. I should have done the bonus....but I will next time. ;)

Hi to everyone and hope everyone has a great day!

Linda

Good morning ladies!

Carole - The run/bike race sounds like a good one to get back into the swing of things. Hope you get to do it.

Susan - That's great that the adjustments are holding longer and longer. You're getting stronger girl!

Sunny - Did you do Tracey's kickboxing?

Linda - Glad you got your step fix. With all the running I've been doing, it's been hard to get step workouts in. I didn't see any visible results from P90X but did feel stronger afterwards especially my core. Good run today!

Wendy - Great find on the Lucky jeans! How low is too low? I like low cut!

Kristi - You should go ahead and give P90X a try. Challenging and good workouts.

Heather - I like GS Legs too. I like using the band too. I'm sure the rest of the body will follow the waist before long. You're doing great!

Cathy - Always work out before work. It wouldn't get done otherwise. I'm up at 4:30 and I work out anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and 20 minutes during the week. Sometimes as long as 2 hours on the weekend. I'm hungrier when I do Slim Series, Jari Love and Slow & Heavy.

Marcia - Glad your class went well. I'm sure they will miss you during the summer. Hope the dr. appt. goes well and it's nothing serious. Prayers for you.

Gayle - Glad your painting is coming along. Sounds like another busy day for you.

I did LIC Total Body Sculpting premix and Body Target Pilates for lower body.

Have a nice day!

Jackie

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I was wondering about Christine too and the bouncing Jimmy! Did she start her new job yesterday?

Marcia..glad the circuit class went well. I will be sending good vibes for your Doctors Appt. Having TTOM for two months straight would be no fun at all.

Wendy...wow Lucky's for $50! great deal. The only downfall with the low ones is when you bend over...:)

Susan..I agree the weather has been great! Can't wait to see how you like BBC. Try Shoulder & Back first...:).:).:)...This run, bike, run is on trails so I would use my mountain bike if I do it. I don"t have a raod bike.

Sunny..how did you like Stacy's workout? I never could see the avatar in the first place. Where do you have the pictures stored?

Gayle...good job with BM2 upper and a 3 mile run.

Linda...about the lab thing. I tried to tell her that particular vein was still asleep. She did NOT listen and it was the first time I had ever been bruised. I know the reason I got good results with P90X the 1st time is because I really ate strict. Which seems so hard now! Good job with CS. I have done it without the bonus a few times.

Jackie...I want to at least run or ride some of the course before I commit. Good job with LIC, I have not tried that premix.

Kristi...not signed up for the run, bike, run yet. It is May 19th.

Heather...yes, GS legs is tough. The slow motion lunges are real burners. Enjoy MM and Lowmax today.

Today is GS Legs standing, abs and a 4.5 mile run.

Have a great day...:)

Good morning ladies,
Where are all the cheetahs lately????? Well, I did not take a rest day yesterday. I ended up running for 3.5 miles and doing KPC abs. It felt really good. Now that I can run without pain, I can't stop}( I know that I have to slow down a bit though or I will end up injured again.

I got my BBC!!!! I will do shoulder and back per Caroles request. Is there enough cardio in it or do you guys add your own? I am really excited about having something new.

I am going taking Mariah and two of my girlfriends out for some Indian cuisine today. Gosh, I love Indian food}(

I am off to take kids to school. I will be back for personals later and I will let you know how I like Barry.

Cheers!

Susan

Good Morning Cheetahs!:)

I did 30 mins of ITread 11/40 min this morning at the gym and this afternoon I'll be tackling BBC's full body work again!}(

Shelly, My class runs probably somewhere between 2-3 miles per class. I personally run roughly 2-4 miles lately since I am doing a lot of Itreads and keep my runs to 40 mins or less. I haven't done a long run in a while. I'm having a lot of fun with the variety of the ITread work outs so I'm sticking with it for a while. :)

SunnyD, No news regarding my pt exam. I have to get moving on the practical! It's due in the mail in less then 3 weeks now!

Cathy, We were up at Woodbury Commons outlets and they had a huge selection. As big as the store in Menlo Park Mall! I was foaming at the mouth!}(

Carole, LOL-I know low rise have that set back of not being able to bend over or sit down with out making sure you are not giving anyone a show. I think these jeans are a bit higher in the back though to help prevent that. I'll have to test 'em out and let you know!:p

Jackie, These are the absolute LOWEST low rise I've EVER purchased! I'm kind of afraid to wear them! YIKES! LOL They are button flies and are soooo low that only ONE button makes up the fly! }( DH is gonna LOVE 'em!;) :7

Sorry, I know I didn't get to everyone but I'll be back later with more! :)

Cheers!

Good morning cheetahs! Well, the official results of my 5k were posted today. It turns out that I did manage a PR:7 :7 . My gun time was 24:02 (I got that one wrong too) My chip time was 23:52:eek:
and my race pace was 7:41. Okay, feeling better now! I had really trained hard for it and considering the name of the race I really wanted to perform well:)

Cathy- Have a great day at work.... any workouts planned for today?

Marcia- I am so glad to hear your seeing your doc today!!! I hope they give you a very thorough exam and order a complete lab panel.
You really need some answers here and I'll be thinkin of you!! Please let us know how it turns out!!

Carole- So, I guess you're contemplating a run/bike? Sounds awesome! I hope you go for it. First step towards a triathlon which I think you would be amazing at!!

Wendy-Getting in 2-4 miles on your runs is pretty decent mileage, especially with the itreads. I bet your speed is improving alot ;-)
Have a good time with BBC full body. I have only done that one once.
I'm saving for my bring along vacation workout. Hey, I've seen your latest pics and you can definitely get away with wearing those low cut jeans!

Kristi- Most of us know what you mean about a feeling of relief when a big race you've been training for is over! Perfectly understandable! I know you will do outstanding next weekend. You have certainly put in the training for it!!! I think going for an X rotation afterwards is an awesome idea! I may do the same myself.

Gayle- Have a fun and healthy taper week! That is quite a challenging time goal you've set for yourself but I'm confident you can do it!!!

Jackie- My goal for my upcoming HM on May 6 isn't nearly as ambitious as Gayle's. I'm not looking for a PR (my current HM PR is 1:49) This course is one of the most challenging in the country and has a total 2500 ft elevation climb. You can typically expect to add at least 15 minutes on to whatever time you would usually run a half! If I can get it under 2 hrs I'll be ecstatic!! You had an awesome potpourri of a workout yesterday:eek:

Susan- You really are getting back into the running :7 I know what you mean about the exhiliration of running pain free!!! I keep telling myself to slow down or I'll reinjure myself.... hard to resist;-) so I'm focusing very hard on my form. Great that your going to be doing a 10k this fall:7 :7 :7 A hilly one at that!!

SunnyD- Let me know what you think about Tracy's KB workout. It's one I've been considering and I'd value your opinion! Bummer that your avatar disappeared! It was such a beautiful pic. Try looking at the FAQ section of the forum topics page.

Linda- Hey, CS and a 5 mile run is an awesome workout without the bonus!!! Great job!

Christine- Where are you?? We miss ya!

Okay, enough stalling, even though this is my favorite way to stall ;-) Today will be a long interval run--7-8 miles with 10 400m
speed intervals at 5k race pace. And then BBC Shoulders and Back.

later

ShellyC

Me again, just popping in. DS's room ended up needing 3 total coats of paint, but they're all done and drying now. Removed the tape and the lines look AWESOME! (He chose Dallas Cowboys colors, and the top of the room has 3 stripes versus the majority of the walls which are blue.) I'm SO very pleased with it. All it needs now is the 2 stripes that get silver, but the other colors must dry first. Who asked, right? LOL

Shelly-I giggled at your comment to me about my HM goal time being ambitious. lol. Thanks. As if I haven't been nervous about it for 3 weeks now. LOL Just kidding. My time at this HM last year was 1:51, so yes....it's a jump in time, but we'll see what happens. That's why I joined the pace team so I can have somebody ELSE monitor the time....all I have to do is follow the leader! LOL. BUT.....I'll be happy with a time under 2 hours also!

OK...sorry I can't do more personals. Time to go get younger DS at a friend's house. BBL

Gayle

p.s. I'm thinking, after this weekend's race, of either following Cathe's May rotation (whatever that may be) or following a faux P90X rotation using Cathe and running. We'll see. I like to work ahead! LOL

Thank you to all of you for your well wishes. I am back from the doctor, but don't have much for answers x( . I have to go in again on Tuesday for more tests. They were pretty optimistic that there was nothing to worry about (I'm sure they say that to everyone to ease their mind), but said obviously something isn't right for me to have my TTOM for two months straight. Now, I keep my mind busy so I don't think about it until Tuesday. They are doing an ultrasound for sure (nope, no way I'm pregnant DH took care of that already ;-) ) I'm extremely emotional and very tired, but they are blaming that, too, on my TTOM going on for so long my body hasn't had a chance to 'regroup'.

I'm not sure what I'm doing for a workout tonight. I'd like to go for a run, we'll see if DS is up to a bike ride beside me - I could use the support :D .

Take care,
Marcia.

Hello ladies,

I did do TS's new k'boxing workout. I read a few negative reviews on it but i must say i absolutely loved it!!!!!!! I have not felt this excited about a kickboxing workout since KPC. dare i say it, i actually like it better. *GASP*:7 It is my style of kickboxing. More kickboxing than an aerobic feeling however it got my heart rate up. I only had a chance to do 50 mins. and according to my HRM i burned 370 calories. whooooooohooooooo!! I can't wait to do it again in it's entirety. I really like her as an instructor and i am picky about my instructors, lol.

I will not get a chance to do UB today so i will have to put that off until tomorrow.

Linda- what other TS workouts did you purchase? i got the kickboxing and the core (one of her first) workouts.

alrighty gotta go make dinner and do a hundred other things before i head back to work this evening.

Ciao:)

Sunny - I have all her workouts. Out of the first batch I did her step workout and liked it really well. I still haven't done her first kickbox and strength one, or the core one. I haven't done any of her new batch :+ I thought they all looked really good, though! I am really anxious to try the kickboxing one, especially after you liked it so well! I like lots of kicks and punches and not a lot of choreograph for kickboxing, too! And I like for it to keep my heart rate up! The new step one really looks good, too!! The new "rehabilitative " one looks very different and interesting. I have got to do these soon! Did you like her first kickboxing one?

I have another question for all you yoga gals. My doctor said that I most definitely need to reduce my stress level, even though all my exercise is good, she suggested I find other ways to relax. Soooo, I need some yoga workout advice. Any suggestions? I am VERY NEW in the yoga world, I don't know ANY of the positions, etc. Is there a good beginner workout I should check out? I'm really lost when it comes to this.

Thanks,
Marcia.

Hey gals,
I just got done with BBC shoulders and back and I LOVED it!!!!!! It went by so fast and there is a lot of variety and I enjoyed the 20 minute aeobic section. I did not have time to do the treadmill part, but maybe later. I definitley feeled worked out. I like using the lighter weights. The guy is totally yummy too. He had pretty good form too for a man.

I am off now to the mall with Mariah and then Indian food, YUM!!!!!

Marcia, I am sorry you have not been feeling well. I hope they get to the bottom of this.

Susan

Marcia- It sounds to me like you may have uterine fibroids. An irritating but basically benign condition. I hope you can relax some waiting for the ultrasound. It will definitely tell you if this is what is the problem. In the meantime take comfort in the fact that ALOT of people care about you!

Gayle- I really wasn't intending to shake you up at all:eek: I really have every confidence in you that you can achieve this!!! Especially with a pace team... I wish I had one with this upcoming HM!

SunnyD- Thanks for the review of Tracy's KB workout. I had heard mixed reviews and I was a little leery. I totally trust your judgement so I think that one will be on my next to buy list!

Hi Linda! Which one of Tracy's workouts do you consider the most intense?

I finished my interval run, completing 7 miles in 63 minutes and had fun with Joey the studmuffin doing BBC S&B. Time for my nap now...
back to work tonight!

ShellyC

Marcia- See my above post about your condition. Yoga is a terrific suggestion! You have the p90x series right? Have you tried YogaX yet? It is long but you can break it into sections. I'm not too good with yoga myself but I find this one very tolerable!

shellyC

You guys are so sweet!!! ;( ;( ;( (remember I'm an emotional wreck right now - darn emotions).

ShellyC - that's exactly what my doctor said it probably was. Thanks for the encouragement and thoughts.

Marcia.
