Carole :: SO glad to hear John is now in rehab. Great news!

Jennifer :: Yes, I am one of the cheetahs on the East Coast – I'm in South Jersey, to be more precise. Hope that lower leg responds well to the ice treatment. I have been having a lot leg issues lately, too.

Go, Jess, go! 21 miles!!! Wowowowow! You’re en fuego! Hope you’re having fun with the new wheels.

Wendy :: Nice workout! I am still waiting for Slim & Lean (and Ripped to the Core) to arrive. Not very patient, this cheetah. However, BC/ME arrived today, so I was doin’ the happy dance! :)

Katrina :: welcome to our check-in! Great times on your 5Ks. What part of NY are you from?

Laura :: good to see you post. The massage bed sounds incredible…maybe someday if I hit the lotto. :) Congrats on your cert! How’s your father doing?

Shelly :: Way to go on the 1st place age group finish and 4th overall!! You rock!!

Natalie :: Enjoy those new kicks! It really is worth the extra money to run safe and healthy. That’s cool that your students are counting down with you. Have you tried active.com, runningintheusa.com, or runner’s world to find a half?

Gayle :: by the way, your indoor camping plan sounds like fun!

I went to Cathe's gym and used two machines, and as dumb as this sounds, I have to say, I don't know what they were. It has been YEARS since I belonged to a gym. I spent 20 minutes on what I think must have been a sort of Nordic track and then 10 minutes on what I think was the elliptical. The elliptical was unbelievably impossible at first - I felt like I was moving in super-slow motion - until I changed some settings and took off resistance. Anyway, when I came home, BC/ME had arrived, so I did ME. YOWZAS! Whatta sweatfest! Feel like I got a great burn.

Hopefully tomorrow will be dry enough to get in a run. Have a great night, cheetahs!

Hi ladies. Well, I'm doing my best to take it easy and recover and it's killing me. I hate the fact that I can't workout, but I'm not going to risk hurting my back any further. Luckily the headache is gone, but my back is still giving me trouble. DH is all over me to make sure I don't try to get back into things too soon. I'm thinking that in a week I can slowly work my way back up to cardio and strength. It makes me so sad! I wanted to do a 5K at the beginning of October, but that's looking pretty bleak now.

Keep running sisters! I am here for you, cheering you on!

Katie

Hi ladies! Popping in here to say that I'll be running another 20 miles tomorrow since I wasn't happy with last weeks shuffle! Hoping to get some good vibes and a few prayers from ya'll. Got a new route mapped out, a 20 mile shot out from my house, so I don't have to deal with the sometimes mental challenge of an out and back.

Other than that, I have NO time for personals! I'll check in tomorrow and let you know how it went. Thanks!

Andri I am also a physical therapist assistant, Isnt that weird that you also want to be a PT!

I might teach the bootcamp classes at the ymca. That is my favorite class there. I took it for over a year. Maybe spin classes also. I dont really like step aerobics so I wont volunteer to do that class.

My dad is doing better. We had a scare on friday. His doctor had him get a echo cardio gram done just to see if his previous bloood clot was gone since he was no longer on blood thinners and they called and said he had an appointment with his cardiologist to determine if he needed a stress test or another catherization done. well we thought something must have shown up on the tests but when we went to the cardiologist he said things where the same and not to do anything. I guess his doctor didnt know how his heart was affected from his previous heart attack.

talk with you all later!

Oy vey, now it seems I am coming down with a cold :(. Pooh. If this develops, I may have to take it easy for the next week or so, which means I may not have time to get in one last good run before my half-marathon in 2 weeks :(.

Germs are evil!!

Hey Sekcy Cheetahs!!!

Laura- When I said PT I meant Personal Trainer not Physical Therapist if thats what you meant:p LOL. Glad your dad is doing better! Heart Attacks can be very scarey, I know. My grandfather died of one in 2004.

Elaine-Have a fun 20 miler tomorrow:)

No cardio for me tomorrow but I hope I can get a few mile jog in on Monday. Maybe 6-7 miles, nithen too fancy. I hate weather. I mean I like treadmills a lot, but I prefere to fast walk on them, not so much jog. Just the smell and scenery of the outdoors is more refreshing;-)

Take Care!!
