changing over to 6 month rotation

Cathlete
I am on my last week meso 1 and I loved it. Loved it enough to the point where I kind of want to do it over.

My question is, is there anyone who has done all of meso 1 first and then going to repeat it or did you do week 1 then repeat.

I'm just trying to figure out what to do, make the switch or just continue with the 3 month plan.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jenn:

Obviously not Cathe here so I don't proclaim to be an expert by any means, but there are a lot of people who are doing either the 5 or 6 month rotations... One persuasive Cathlete (BelovedHeather - you know who you are!) convinced me to do a 5 month rotation with her... I got STS on 2/2 and completed the first 2 weeks of Meso 1 and then found out Cathe was starting her official STS rotation on 2/16 so I did the first 2 weeks AGAIN... Now I am doing week 3 again, then week 4 for two weeks...

This is strictly IMHO, but I would venture to guess that if you really want to redo Meso 1 and can stand to wait to do Meso 2, then go for it! However, just for the record, Cathe previously stated that it would be better if you wanted to do a longer rotation she would recommend doing it like this:

Wk 1: Meso 1 week 1 (discs 1,2,3)
Wk 2: Meso 1 week 1 (discs 1,2,3)
Wk 3: Meso 1 week 2 (discs 4,5,6)
Wk 4: Meso 1 week 2 (discs 4,5,6)
Wk 5: Meso 1 week 3 etc etc etc..

Since you have been slowly increasing your weights each week, I am not sure if there are any detriment to your progress by going back to 60-65% of your 1RM weights or not... Not sure, other than the sheer pleasure of the workouts, if there would be any benefit either... Unless you could slightly increase your weights or have much better form the second time around...

Another option is you could do Meso 2 as described above (repeat each week) and do the same with Meso 3... OR do all three meso's and then repeat...

Good luck & I agree with you in that STS is the BEST!!! :)

When I got to week 4, I couldn't really do all the reps at the higher weight. So I decided to redo week 2 and 3 and then do week 4 twice before moving on to meso 2. I am just starting week 3 again.

I think if you decide to go back to week 1, you probably should not decrease your weights to where you originally started.

Jenn~ Way back when Cathe put out the suggested rotation which is

I think theres nothing "wong" with doing it as a repeat the way you are talking tho. I am doing Meso 1 twice.
May I suggest > I did not take a recovery week (per the rotation) and after week 7 started really feeling over trained and became injury prone resulting in less than stellar performance. When I do STS-6month again in the future I will be taking the recovery week before week 9. Even a 3-5 day recovery at the 5 week mark would have helped me immensely.
