Morning Girls :)

On tap today is a 8 mile run. I am working my chest and abs as well. Just haven't decided which DVDS to use. I may use two to get that DOM feeling }(

I leave for the South 14days from today. Yes I'm counting :) I wil be able to keep my workouts going as that the hotel has a nice fitness center and I can also take my runs to the beach or near the hotel. (They have a path away from traffic) I should be able to check-in as well. Well at least in the morning. The hotel has wireless. I doubt the rest of the day I would check in cause my sorry self will be on the beach :)

Becca: How's the workouts going? My newspaper had an insert in it yesterday on running. And listed a few races. 10Ks and 5Ks. I think I am going to do the Susan Komen race. Looks like a llot of fun and it can kick off goal of entering more races before I train for a half.

Ok I shall return. Unless my day gets real busy. I so thought today was Friday--wishful thinking huh?

Hi guys,

I'm feeling pretty darn good about this. And today I havn't eaten too badly, eaten lots and lots (WAy too much) but not as much junk.

Todays workout was, Gym style back, MIS back, ME abs, MIS abs and 4DS Abs (I think it was the LIS abs) Then tonight I've just done some pilates.

Amelia - I do hope you've had your refill, perhaps you might need a little Xtra today?;-) LOL

Kath - You are soooo lucky to be going on holiday and going "away" for a holiday. Excuse my ignorance but where is "South"? I'm Australian and have no idea about the States.

Roxie - I noticed you were asking Debbie (Fitness freak) about a workout. Which rotation are you doing? I think shes awesome! And very patient (extremly patient) with some of those questions she gets asked. Shes great.

i didn't see the Oxygen article with debbie in it.

GOOOOOOOD Morning Challengers - Here we go! LOL

I power walked yesterday 70 minutes and taught a step class for 60, great workouts and I was just cooked this morning, so I did FIRM Power Yoga - not bad......This is my first try at a Yoga DVD and not too bad, I do feel better having stretched out some of those sore muscles from last night. Hopefully I can work it in during the sometimes for a stretch and change. Maybe it'll grow on me ;-)

I'm bartending tonight, so that will be my walking workout, also I'll be walking at lunchtime today, hopefully the weather cooperates.

I'll be back later, just wanted to say "HI" and say "I'm in with the Challengers".

Quick hello Challengers!

I'm running a little behind schedule this morning. I'll BBL for personals. I have to get my workout in - total body weights, interval workout and core.

Anyone else want to kick Kath out of the challenge?? ;) ;) Im not particularly fond of people who take vacations...on the beach...in the heat!}( Oh how I wish I were going SoMeWhErE....AnYwHeRe!

I started this post just before DH came in with some meds for DS so I may have forgotten what I read!
I think I am going to start a rotation working 1 body part per day, that would take me to the end of April...still not in time for tank top season but oh well.:) Im going to use the GS,Pyramids and 4DS workouts.

Andrea** I don't think I will ever get use to the fact that when we are getting up, you are going to bed! LOL Glad to hear you had a good day, eating wise:) Im hoping for the same thing today!

Marcia** Good job with the workout yesterday.How is the weightloss going?

Good Morning Challengers and good night Andrea,

So far this morning I've done 4DS chest and back. I will go and do 4DS bis and tris in a few minutes.

Laura: LOL at the passports for Christmas! We always bring our kids with us.


Marcia: with all the classes you teach and the workouts you do, you must burn a lot of calories!Where do you get the energy?

Amelia: I'm an on agian off again idol fan. My 13yr old loves to watch it.

Kath: hmmmm... somewhere warm away from snow sounds pretty good to
me:)

My eating was good yesterday. I need to find a different snack than peanutbutter. I seem to go back to the jar even after I've measured out my 2 Tbsps.x(

My 7 yr old DS is home with a fever. I was suppose to go to work and see a demo and have a pizza lunch. He saved me from the pizza! Yeah!!:D but not so good for him. He is very whiney when sick.

Hey Gang -

Lori - My weightloss is going VERY S-L-O-W. As much as I workout you'd think I would be all trim and fit. But, I'm not - I know eating is 80% so obviously that's where I need some MAJOR help. I'm trying to eat as clean as possible to trim this body down before I go to my Turbo Kick certification workshop in May so I can literally kick some butt. }(

Elaine - I'm not sure where the energy comes from, seriously. LOL I think it comes from just absolutely loving what I do - teaching! Too bad I can't quick my day job to do it full time, but that's just not in the cards at this moment.:-(

Quick post I to am running behind will post after work. Tonites workout KM timesaver.

Brkfst-boiled egg
AM snack-yogurt and banana
Lunch-chicken salad wrap and salad
PM snack-cheese and crackers, apple and carrots
Supper-turkey meatball with brown rice and greenbeans

Didn't eat well yesterday felt horrible needed comfort foods refer to last nites post. Have a good day bbl for personals.
 
Okay I'm back.

4DS Bis and Tris are done. Phew! those dips on the ball get me every time.

Roxie: I hope you feel better today.

Amelia: My haricut went well. It had been over two months sense my last cut. It's a little short but I needed that. I had a reaction to a color and some of my hair fell out. :eek: It is underneath so it is easy to hide.

My workout went well. I decided to do Interval X+ and Abs/Core+ after my total body weight workout - felt great today! I've been dragging my butt lately so it felt good to Bring It! Have any of you tried P90X or P90X+?

Andrea, Where do you live in Australia? My boys are learning about Australia in History. Hope you have a good night's sleep.

Amelia, We watch AI when we get a chance. Who is your favorite?

Marcia, TK cert - yeah! If you have any questions feel free to ask. Eating the right foods and the correct portions is a challenge, but you can do it!

Elaine, Sorry your son is sick. Good job with the workout.

Roxie, How is your dog?

Lori, I'm with you on going some place warm, but no plans any time soon. We're getting a couple passports a month, so we can travel to Canada this summer.

Good morning everyone. Lots of chatter going on today already. I got up and did 50 minutes jogging with some walking with the dogs. Hopefully next week I can add in some weight workouts. I've had a strange pain in chest(sternum) this week and weights seems to aggrevate it.
Now for personals, I started to type these last night so I apologize if they seem disconnected to today's posts.

Amelia, nice job on the clean eating. Keep it up and next week’s WI
should be great. I usually watch parts of American Idol. There are other shows on at the same time that I like to so I channel flip.

Andrea, I too let the end of the first 12 weeks go to pot. This time
I’m just going to try to look toward the weigh in each week and try to
take consistant baby steps. Your works outs sounds great.

Roxie, hope you enjoyed MM. Great job on the 2 days of healthy
eating. So sorry to hear about the dog. Hope she gets better quick.

Lori, too funny on where the mini eggs went. At my house it was peanut
M & M’s. Mine are gone, but I told DH if he didn’t eat his, they
would be gone too. LOL. As for tank top season, from your pictures,
you look like you are tank top ready now. As for kicking Kath out due to her trip, let's just stowe away in one of her suitcases instead.

Elaine, way to go on getting a workout in yesterday even when you woke up late. Hope your DS feels better.

Shirl, Cardio blast is fun. I still have problems with the foot work
from 4DS so I keep pushing it to the back of the shelf. You work out
for today sounds great.

Becca, I just love it when I complain during a workout and Cathe
answers back. It’s like she is psychic.

Kath, nice circuits. I’m wincing at the doms I would have if I did
giant sets. Your beach vacation sounds great. Where are you going?

Marcia, Yoga sounds like the perfect thing after your double workouts.

Marcia** I don't think it matters how much we/you workout, eating as to be on par as well. Ive done it. Ive eaten tons,worked out tons with no results and I have also worked out less,ate less and seen results.

Roxie** Had to read yesterdays thread! Sorry to hear your dog isn't feeling well! Im also sorry that you had to scrub carpets! Ive been there!!!

My workout is complete! GS & PUB Shoulders,abs,4 mile run and 4DSBC.Eating as been good as well!

8 miles YAY! I so have this runner's high thing happening. I also worked my chest-- gonna be sore tomorrow. I killed my abs as well. I'm so evil.

Lori: I shall never leave :) You can't make me :) :) Want me to bring back some sand for ya ? :7 Is DS ok? I like working one body part-- it makes me focus more on each one.

Jean: I'm headin to South Carolina.

My youngest DD will be going as well. This will be her last year as that she starts college in the fall. BUT she did inform me that we could go back as that her brother has the same vacation as she next year. What a silly girl she is---I don't think I PLANNED on her coming to Cancun next year :) Course I haven't told DH either LOL.

I'm inhaling my salad then its off to play maid for a bit.

Hey girls,just popping in to report my workout! I managed about 35minutes of Stepblast,right before she goes into combo #3 i stopped and repeated combo #1 and part of combo#2. Then I hopped on the TM for a 15 min powerwalk!

A question for Kath and Lorie and any other runners out there:
How often do you run? I so want to be a runner some day, but I really am only a sporadic jogger. I'm trying to figure out how often I should jog (and some day run if I ever get any faster) to best see improvement. Any advice would be appreciated.

Jean, when I started out running, i started small, about 5 kms. Then I brought it up to 10 kms everyday (in the summer). Then I kepy adding on. There are little st's all over this town and its easy to add another 2-3 kms. When I finally got a TM, I just kept adding on. I don't run every day and some days my runs are shorter then others. I usually only do 4 miles if I am adding on something else (like today) but if it was my main source of cardio for the day, I like to do atleast an hour. TM's are great for improving speed and endurance as well. I do alot of interval work when I am not running distance. First when i started running on the TM, i was comfortable at 5.6 pace,now my warmups are 5.8 and I am comfortable running at a 6-6.2 pace. I run atleast 4 x's a week if not more.
