Hi to all,

A quick post to start the ball rolling. I just finished slow and heavy and BM shoulders followed by MM abs, I am starting to go heavier than Cathe. YEAH! I am also proud to say day 5 down and the eating is still O.K for me!

I am clearly much more determined this challenge round!

O.k. this is to be a quick post, so I'm off, I may be back later on ( my morning your night)

Yeah, it's Friday! Quick check-in this morning; we're going away for the weekend. Oldest DS has a competition, so we're making it a family weekend get away. We'll only be a couple hours away from home, but we'll be away. The kids are excited b/c of the indoor heated pool.

My workout was upper body minus shoulders, a killer core circuit and Imax 2 blast mania premix. I plan on running tomorrow at the hotel gym; probably a small room with a treadmill, it'll do the job though.;) Sunday is my rest day.

Andrea, ^5 for dropping the pounds and being more focused this time around!

I'll catch up with personals when I return.

Good morning challengers!

DH was at work all night last night, so sleep was interrupted repeatedly. I cannot sleep when he is not here. Thank goodness he is not on call this weekend. He called and woke me up at 6:45 to help get me out of bed. I got up and did PLB. Right now I am enjoying my yummy delicious Greek yogurt.

Shirl, have a great weekend away. What a great workout this am!

Andrea, WTG losing the weight! I love it when I start to make progress, much more motivating!

Hello to everyone else. I'll try to BBL. The in-law's are coming into town today so my computer time will be limited. Have a great weekend!

Good Morning Everyone,

On tap for tonite is low impact step. Don't know what meals are going to be today out of everything.

Lori-asked if I have kiddos my oldest DD is 22 and she got married last October my youngest DD is 20 and she still lives at because she is going to school, she graduates in May with an associates in business she doesn't know what she is going to do yet, she met a boy online who is coming home from Iraq next week. We live 20mins away from the military base called Fort Riley where the Big Red One is stationed.

Andrea-high fives on the wt loss and good eating.

Amelia, DH is a surgeon. He was on trauma call last night and there was a house fire. An entire family was killed and he was working on the 7 year old twins. :-( He was pretty distraught this morning.
 
Good morning all,

I received my Amy Bento DVD yesterday. I could not wait to do it. So, this morning I did In the Ring. It was fun! I definitly have a learning curve. I love the med ball parts. I also did C&W abs and some of my own med ball abs. I guess I am on a med ball kick! LOL

Becca: Hugs to your DH. that is a tough night to deal with.

Andrea: You go girl! Heavier than Cathe! That's great!

Ameila: PH is one I don't own. What does it compare to?

Shirl: Have fun swimming!

Oh, I had a run in with some chocolate chip cookies. I will do better today.

Elaine-Im not sure what PH would compare too? Its a full body workout. I don't have MM,ive heard it is similar to that? Its a goodie though?

Becca-How awful:-(. Your DH sounds like a wonderful person that loves helping people:).

Quick post. No workout this morning had to get up and out for my mammogram so no extra time. Hope to get something in tonight. I'll have to check back later for personals, but Becca's caught my eye. I guess it's a small world. I work for a group of trauma surgeons and the funny part is one of the drs' wife's name is Becca.

Afternoon girls :)

YAY It's Friday :)

Today's workout was circuits at the gym along iwth ab work. I also did GIANT sets for shoulders.

Jean: Thank you so much for your kind words regarding my dad. That was nice of you. I think there are a few good movies out right now. We tend to wait to long to see them --and end up renting them later on.

Andrea: Is your DD ok?

Becca: You husband must see many things in his profession. I worked the ICU and ER when I was working.Some things I saw were so sad.Then it was also rewarding to be able to help people. You have to put your game face on sometimes. MY hat goes off to him calling you to get your workout in. He sounds super.

Amelia: Any plans for your weekend?

Well have to flip flop loads then sit myself down for some lunch. You know what I'l be inhaling. I think we may go out for a drink or two tonight. We shall see

Hey Gals,

No time for personnals just wanted to stop in and report my workout.

Todays workout was a doozie..even for me! I ran really fast on my runs b/c I didn't know how long my cardio was going to be cause i didn't know how long DS was going to nap. Low and behold, he napped the whole time!
I did GS&PUB tris,BC Core 2x's and BC adding on 5 mins runs before the cardio and cutting out the ab work b/c I already did that. I went heavy with the leg work, using 45 bb and 25 lbs db's, I even used ankle weights for the kickboxing parts. And my runs were a mixture of speeds from 6 MPH to 8.4 MPR and incline of 1%-5%. The runs were only .50 of a mile each time, so you can basically do anything for 4-5 mins right!?;)

Hi everyone. Got up and got PART of my WO in - better than nothing. I forgot I had to take DS to piano lessons this morning. Will get legs & UB in this WE for sure. More time available - at least in theory.

Kath, thanks for asking about DD. She's doing OK this morning (as I expected). She didn't seem to be really hurt - I think she was surprised that she fell and WAY tired (always is after cheer practice).

Inhaled my lunch (HATE to do that) and ate too many pretzel thins. Oh well, could've been worse - they could've been potato chips :). We're going out to Red Robin tonight. I love their fries, but I'm going to get a salad cuz I have to go WI @ WW tomorrow morning. Maybe DH and I can share one - we do that a lot.

I was LOL this morning - DH went to run the Jog-A-Thon w/ the kids @ school today. DD's class @ 9:30 and then DS' class @ 11:00. He called me after DD's class - said he was dying after 10 laps around the track. 10 laps in 20min w/ little short 5YO legs is pretty impressive IMO. I hope DS kicked his butt! He THINKS he's in shape (NOT!!!)

OK, enough giggling & gloating on my part. Gotta scoot. Will TTY tomorrow (I think).
 
Hi, I just popped in to give you all a bit of a "soppy" moment, (and trust me I don't do soppy)LOL

I know that we have never seen each other and that we live on opposite corners of the universe, but it is really nice the way you all support each other! Kind words help and its great.

I didn't think it was possible to email people and "get to know them". But you guys all sound very loving towards your family, children, husbands and each other.

I just wanted to say that, i got all warm and fuzzy after reading Becca's post and the replys. Becca - terrible thing that. I am not a sugeon, but I do have attend those types of jobs because of my job and its really really hard! Its awful. Takes a long time to get over it, lots of hugs for "Mr Hop Around" (I loved that)

Thanks to you all for your kind words about DH. He finally got home around 8:00 PM and he still smelled like smoke (can you believe it?!?!?)


Amelia, did you get the extra cardio in? I know after 3 days in a row of weights, I am ready for some good heart pumping cardio tomorrow!

Jean, too funny about about the trauma surgeon and his wife, Becca! My DH is actually a vascular surgeon, he just covers trauma call.

Kath, I was an ER nurse before I married DH and stared raising babies for a living. Are you a nurse? I remember you mentioned that you are a redhead, also. Are you my long lost sister or something?!?!?

Elaine, I just told a friend of mine that chocolate chips are not real chocolate, therefore those calories don't count.:p Hopefully today was a better day for you food wise. How do you like Amy Bento? I have not done any of her WO's.

Lori, YAY for the long nap and the massive WO! Quite impressive.

AndreaH, I LOVE Red Robin! The BEST fries. How did it go? I'm LOL'ing at your DH. Good for him! That's a lot of running with little people. Glad to hear your DD is OK.

Andrea (idream), DH got a kick out of being referred to as Mr. Hop Around. It definitely fits his personality. :7 I enjoyed your "soppy" moment. I think we all need those every now and then!
