Celebrities you love to hate

I dont know why, but I have a love hate relationship with Tinseltown these days. It seems so full of superficial and dumb, flaky people. There seems to be no positive role models, just airheads. Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton (the walking STD) comes to mind. In my mind, they just blonde people way down on the intelligence scale.. a scale that so many other intelligent people have tried to build up. But that's my opinion. Which celebrites do you not look up to respect?

Most of them! But Paris hilton, I cannot imagine anyone looking up to her! She is just flat out nasty!!

There are those I love. I think Natalie Portman is just adorable. I like Eva Longoria, too. I could go on forever. As far as looking up to and respecting celebrities, I can't say I know enough about to many of them for that to even be possible.
 
Even though I don't necessarily get annoyed by these women individually and I like them both as actresses, I am SO sick of hearing about Jennifer and Angelina. Come on...enough is enough already. No one cares anymore (at least, I don't).
 
I think they fall into two categories: the ones I know I dislike and the ones I don't know I dislike yet. The ones I know I don't see eye to eye with are:

Charlton Heston
Mel Gibson
Tom Cruise
Sean Connery
<insert names of all right-wing religious figures here>

Let's face it, most celebrities are in the acting profession, which is not particularly known for its intelligence. It is very difficult for me to understand what people find interesting about them.

My pet peeve is when a hollywood star or personality suddenly tries to take a political stand or position on something. Geez who cares! You act, you sing, you model, etc. Why the heck should I listen to your uneducated opinion on important social issues? What expertise do you really have on the subject? LOL
 
I dunno...I really respect what Bono has done. Definitely don't hate him. And he still shakes his booty in the videos.
 
Not defending any of the so called 'celebs' (ask yourself what are they really famous for? Talent or the Gossip fodder? Hmm. A real thinker that one is)

AT ANY RATE...they are milking the public for every last dime nickle and penney they have. So what is wrong with someone like Paris I wanna be a movie star, no wait a jeweler, no wait a porn star, no wait a singer, no wait a clothes horse, no wait, no yes, I wanna be a jewel endowed singing movie porn star in Prada.

Hey and if someone pays for it, who is the smarter here?

But the scarey thing is that people do listen and respect their opinions!! Really scarey. Oprah for President!!!!! JK!!

I really hate Ashlee Simpson, especially now that she has surgerized herself to be a clone of her sister. A gossip website referred to them collectively as "Assica". I can't stop laughing at that!

Just seeing your posts title had me thinking Paris Hilton. Yuck! I do not understand why she's still in the limelight - total puzzle to me. What did Sean Connery ever do?

Heather, Sean Connery is just a Male Chauvinist Pig as we old-timers used to say, who has mentioned in more than one interview that he thinks it's okay to hit a woman to keep her in line.

Yeah Heather, Paris is famous for doing nothing. I still dont get why she is always in the limelight. I know she is hogs the camera...privately and publicly, but she simply has no talent.
(At least none that is publicly acknowledged.)

Exactly! There is a huge difference between "intelligence" and "influence". And we all know that not all influences are good.

Her skirts are so short you can almost see her coochie.
