Celebrities you love to hate

Britney Spears for me, I can't stand that girl. I didn't know she was in Fahrenheit 911? I seen that and don't remember her being in ti.

I also can't believe that about Sean Connery. I use to love that guy!

Anne, Do you mean Mathew McCounahy (sp??)...the dude in Dazed and Confused, A Time to Kill, Failure to Launch?

Now I'm thinking of some I respect...like Ellen Degenerous. I like her a lot!

Britney is white trash, in every sense!

Cannot stand Star Jones!

I think that 'celebs' use the limelite because of one major thing (one which keeps shrinks in business 24/7) they are desperate for attention. So you ask yourself why? Because deep down they are probibly quite lonely, expereince self hatred (yes self hatred) and a fear of being alone which goes back to that self hatred thing again.
Everyday you see the same 'celebs' dating different people - its like a public library out there in Hollyweird. First that Greek guy Nicolos whatever is rented out by one of the Olsen twins. She returns the Greek guy back to the guy library and then Paris rents him out (actually Paris rented him out before the Olsen girls date due was up). Then Paris returns him early and I think Lindsay rents him out for a bit then returns him to the guy library. Now I think Paris went back and re-rented him.

I don't know but I feel dizzy right now.

Heres such a great piece of great Hollywood news from people who need attention...Daryl Hannah is dating that young guy from the Client (Brad Renfro?). He is in rehab after being arrested upteen times for drugs/trying to steal a yacht while it was still tied to the peir (a smart guy too!) and other things. She is a , hasbeen? So why not do a Demi Moore and date the kindergartener...(Demi was a little wiser in her choice of men though).

Anyone remember that Daryl used to date John John?

> I am SO sick
>of hearing about Jennifer and Angelina.

What I absolutely despise is the Hollywood entertainment 'press' making up all these combo names, like "Brangeline" or "Tomkat" when a couple is formed in Hollywood. It seems to have stared with "Bennifer," and has gone wild since then. If I were one of the couples, I would be annoyed as hell to be refered to in that way (as if I had lost my personal identity in getting together with someone).

Paris Hilton is filthy rich and pretty. That's why the press initially followed her around and she got to liking it. I used to feel sorry for the Hilton family as she was such an embarrassment to them. But then the mother appeared in some stupid reality TV show and I realized the nut didn't fall far from the tree.

I must admit I'm totally addicted to gossip web sites (my one vice!)
defamer, jossip, perez hilton, socialite life, eonline, tmz, people... how's that for an addition.

Paris hilton, seinna miller, lindsay lonan.. they are just Nasty....

I respect celebrities like George Clooney and Barbara Streisand who use their influence and money to support causes they believe in. I suppose Charlton Heston falls into that category too, but because I don't agree with his opinions, I don't like him. Let's face it, I like the celebrities whose opinions I agree with. Guess that's my perogative. }(

I don't like Jessica Simpson either. Her voice irritates me as well as her mannerism or lack thereof.

And then there is....

Tom Cruise
Joan Rivers and her fake daughter
Pamela Anderson

Can't think of anymore.

Charlotte~~

Jessica Simpson who is probibly more known for her tuna fish confusion and blotchy face (per her and her pro active ads)and dear old 'my daughter has great knockers' dad. I forgot, what talent does she have again?

>Paris Hilton is filthy rich and pretty.

Pretty? I don't really find her to be so. But she's got that certain confidence that makes plain girls attractive.

RE: Nancy!

FYI -

Those of you who disagree with Charlton Heston should advised that he has been silenced by Alzheimers for years now.

I have to agree - Paris Hilton is not very pretty - she just wears a lot of makeup and pouts a lot. If you were to see her without makeup - yikes. She's very pointy featured. But look at her closely - she looks exactly like than damn chihuahua of hers!!

I don't think Paris Hilton is very pretty either. She has a pointy, foxy kind of face. But then again, who am I to talk?:p

speaking of Paris, I had the TV on the other day while I was running around cleaning the house. A song was playing on VHS and I really liked it. I went over to see who it was, and thought, that really looks like Paris Hilton. IT WAS! I couldn't believe it! Then my SO reminded me that they can make ANYONE sound great, but that doesn't mean they can sing or have any talent. So true.

Thats so true. Anyone can sound good with studio mechanics. I kinda liked the Paris song, but once I knew that she sung it, I was turned off.

I don't know any celebrities on a personal level, so I can't really say I disrespect any of them. However, I do think that Tom Cruise was out of line with the Brooke Shields thing, and good for her for standing her ground.

When I think of an actor I DO respect, I have to say Tom Hanks. Again, I don't know him on a personal level, but every interview I have ever seen him give he seems like such a sincere person, not to mention a great actor. He just seems to have a really good heart. Plus, I know someone who met him once and said that he was very nice and down to Earth. For some reason, I would have been surprised if I had heard otherwise.

And unfortunately to all the Sean Connery lovers out there, I have heard the same thing regarding his attitude towards women. It's disppointing, but he's still nice to look at.

Honeybunch!

HB, good to "see" you! I do (or rather did) disagree with Charlton Heston pretty much on everything, but I loved him in "Ben-Hur" and "The Ten Commandments" and I think it's a terrible thing that he's been stricken with Alzheimer's, as has my dear father-in-law. It's a horrible, really hideously cruel disease, and one that I wouldn't wish on anyone at all, let alone two such powerhouse men as Heston and my sweet DH's dad.

If the references to Charlton Heston seemed insensitive I'm awfully sorry about that. :-( Not intended at all.

I can't think of much good to say about todays celebrities, mostly cause I don't watch TV or Movies much as they are usually so bad!

I must say the celebrity I do look up to (talk about showin my age) is Sophia Loren. She was always sexy but always a lady, had her kids later in life, took time out to raise them and loved them dearly.
I always wanted to be as classy as Sophia!!
