Janis, I love your enthusiasm!
And welcome to our group!!!
Let me assure you that Sean knows all about us and has been a great supporter and friend to our group! He has sent audio messages to encourage us before a workout, allowed us to be the first ones to preview a snippet from Volume 8 prior to its release, created a special email subscriber list for us, and even gave us a bonus challenge or two.
If the "certain someone" you are referring to is me, I'm afraid I don't feel comfortable asking Sean for yet another favor
. He has already done SO MUCH for our group, as well as for the Choose Living Foundation -- he donated the Press Play workout to them and it has been the most successful fundraiser they have ever had! Sean was generous enough to credit our group in part for making that happen.
The Choose Living Foundation used to sell T-shirts and they discontinued them a year or 2 ago. I don't know why they stopped, but having been involved in fund raising in the past, I can tell you there is no way they would have stopped selling them if they were making money.
Providing there's enough interest, I'm sure we could make our own T-shirts and put them up on Zazzle or Cafe Press, but we would need to make sure that we don't infringe upon any copyright. ETA that my goal has been to help the Choose Living Foundation by promoting this fantastic workout!!!
Anyone else care to offer an opinion?
I was wondering if a certain someone - the certain someone who turned us all on to Cardio Coach - would be willing to write Coach Sean, and ask him to ask The Jim Macclaren Foundation if they would like to collaborate on a t-shirt. ?? Certainly there are other groups running together??? If Sean doesn't already know about the group here at Cathe Nation - he most likely would love to hear about us. (do I get to say us??? being a newbie an all?) And maybe he could use us to promote the t-shirt to other running clubs. ? Just thinkin', post run endorphins........makes me have many run ons and babbling.
ETA: Maybe they could get UnderArmor to donate the shirts to Macclaren Foundation. I would absolutely buy a wicking running shirt with "Choose to Live" on the front, and Press Play on the back.
