Yeah, what sucked even more was DH had left for the weekend so I was going to have the TV off, and read and workout and...and...and...I ended up in bed - medicated! Ugh!! Anyway, I'm much better now and ready to get back on track! :cool::eek::D
 
Jo, glad to hear you're feeling better!

I changed out of my padded bike shorts before starting my BC cardio...no way can I jump around wearing all that padding!
 
Good morning!! I'm about a day late to the check-in -- we have a lot going on this weekend and I haven't had a chance to post before now, but I had a GREAT workout!!! It was really hot yesterday so I turned my AC down low and aimed 2 fans on my elliptical, not to mention the ceiling fan that was on full blast! I looked like I was caught in a wind tunnel -- LOL!!! I did 200 kettlebell swings for my bonus challenge and that was really fun!! I think I'll do that more often. It definitely keeps your HR up -- WAY up!

Becky - what a lovely thing to say! I'm so sorry Mike was having a rough day. I hope things are looking up for him today. Did your friends do the workout!? I hope you can convince them to check in with us.

Nancy - I am in total AWE of you! I really can't believe you did PP after an STS leg workout! :eek:

I dedicated my workout to everyone facing a challenge, and most especially to Carola, Becky's Mike, Ellie's DS, Shelley's friend, Christine, Reese's dad, and Lori's DH... and the list goes on. :)

Thanks, Michele. I'm glad I did it, no doubt, but I'm sure paying for it today. I'm not in good enough shape yet to be able to handle that without consequences. I'm really avoiding trying to get down or up from chairs today!

Nice going on the workout in the wind tunnel. Sean will need to use that in his imagery in a future release!
 
Well, my plan was to do my challenge on Saturday but then I was sidelined late Friday night with a migraine. So, I as I have been out of commission since then (especially for high intensity cardio!) and I am just recovering from this headache, I plan to do my my CCPP tomorrow! I'm was really disappointed since this was my first time! WHAH! Well better late than never!

That's a shame about your headache. You'll get just as great a workout whenever you get it done, believe me. Enjoy!

Update: I just finished CCPP (on my spinning bike) and WOW! What a great workout!!! I feel awesome and inspired! WOW! :eek:

Michele: I can't operate unless I am in a wind tunnel, as you so very well described! And I still sweat like whore on dollar night...ha ha. I am so ashamed for having typed that but given my mood today, it needed to be said and I will just hope I have not offended anybody with such a description! It's supposed to be funny :D

Late posting because I didn't have any internet access this weekend. Saturday got in my CCPP outside so I had to do sprints instead of hills. I actually did 5 miles of it without walking. It's been a really long time since I was able to do that. I was inspired and surrounded by a beautiful view of the California foothills and it felt great.

Uh, I don't do them. But I need something without impact for a while and this may be the only way I can tolerate the bike :p
 
I'm glad that made you all laugh instead of think me some sort of clod!! I have said it for years - have no idea if I can take credit for coming up with it or not!

I'm WAY late checking in... I ended up doing CCPP on Sunday. For my extra challenge, I used the music from Vol. 8 Ch. 2 that Sean so kindly provided last month, and did 5, 8.2 mph sprints alternating with 25 kb swings, then I did a 3 minute spring followed by 50 more kb swings. Total miles was 7.5 plus the 175 kb swings! I was SORE after!
