Cathletes "atwitter"!

My hubby just announced, "Cathletes around the country are all-atwitter tonight"!

Then he asked me if he needs to fix me "an adult beverage" so I can calm down and get some sleep tonight!

hmmmmm......maybe.......

My husband, and I quote him, "I don't understand Cathe and everyone's obsession with her. What makes her so special??". This was after I told him one day I would be going on a RT too. He just rolled his eyes. I guess you cannot fully appreciate Cathe unless you workout with her. Outsider's just don't understand :rolleyes:

Did you end up having that "adult beverage"???? :D
 
That's SO funny, because my DH was the same way, all "whats the big fuss?!" yet, when he met her @ Disney, he was star struck! He could barely talk/shake her hand! It was the most hilarious thing IN THE WORLD!! I've NEVER seen him shrink back like that (he's usually the outspoken one), & he was "all talk" about all this stuff he was gonna say to Cathe when he met her.... He hasn't been able to live that moment down, yet! :p

He came straight home from Disney and started doing STS for the first time. He hasn't stopped since... ;)

That is such a cute story :)

I am trying to get my DH to do some form of Cathe weight training program, but he just laughs at me (I don't think he understands her power) he just thinks she's some wimpy, fitness chick or something.......meanwhile I am betting she can match him (or surpass him) on the weights. That would shut him up fast too ;)
 
Yes. You should hear him now, when he tries to explain to his "boys" how he works out to DVDs by "this chick" ROFL :D. No matter how he describes it, they still laugh at him the way he did me :p . He gets all serious on them, like "for real, man. I'm telling you, this chick is 'raw'!" hahaha!!!!

But they can't deny his results....
 
TexasLaura-yes, we all are even those who cannot attend like me. I live maybe 4 hours from the ChicagoLand location, 2 hours from downtown.
 
My husband is getting so used to it, I just told him "I'm going to Chicago to see Cathe!!!" and he goes, "Well, its about time....." The talk of Cathe has become such a normal topic of conversation that he doesn't even flinch anymore. PLus I come home on such a high, that he is highly anticipating my return, if you know what I mean *wink wink*....hehehehe

I LOVE IT!!!!

My hubby and my 12 and 16 year old boys were "starstruck" as well! They are still talking about how beautiful she is!!!

But no one is brave enough to work out with me-they say they are a little scared of her!!!!

Hi Jodelle!

Similar for me; after the Disney trip I was apologizing to my family for not spending any time with them over the weekend and my hubby and boys told me that not only did they not mind, but that I should go on every Cathe trip that I could because it makes me so happy for months before AND after the RT! (How lucky am I that my boys understand that??!!??)
 
Laura- DS (14) started doing her shock cardio series when we got back too! He used Cathe as his trainer to get in shape for basketball season tryouts (his first year trying out for the local high school team- he's a homeschooled freshman), he alternated the Hiit DVDs, MMA & CCC for cardio, and did the weight portions from LIC once/wk from the time we got back til when school started and tryouts began. He made the team, as starting point guard! And parents come up to me all the time asking how he has the energy/endurance to run NONSTOP during all 4 quarters, & never look winded...I just tell them "he trains w/Cathe" :p

Between the three of us fighting over (what used to be) "my" gym, she's definitely a member of the family here, now...
 
I just had to include my own DH story. He's been doing S90 in a sort of sporadic way the last few months and keeps ignoring my invitations to try one of my Cathes. He says he feels funny working out in his basement with "five girls". :rolleyes:

Finally, he agreed that for my Valentine's Day gift he would try a Cathe. He wants cardio and, since I'm relatively sure he doesn't want step, I'm giving him Hiit Double Wave Pyramid. I can't wait to hear how he does.

When he bought me the Chicago RT (love him!), I asked if he thought this got him out of his Valentine's Day workout. He says he'll still do it. I hope he comes with me on the trip so he can tell Cathe how she kicked his butt :D

Omg I am laughing for real because THAT is the same thing that happened in this house. Enough to get some serious new equipment, gotta love it!
